Favorite Fast Food Restaurant
As much as we all try to avoid them, we all eat at Fast Food joints once in a while. Which one is your favorite and why? What do you usually get from there?
|
Mine would have to be KFC. For starters, the food is always hot, unlike in places like McDonalds where you get a cold burger and chips, and i love spicy food over stuff like burgers
|
I have two favorites that are close by:
Wienerschnitzel and Taco Bell But if I'm up for a bit of a drive then I will either go to an In 'N Out or The Hat. I found out there is a Tommy Burgers around here somewhere... but I'm not too adventureous when trying to seek out some of these places... great chili burgers though ^_^ |
Subway. Because those toasted Italian BMTs on the seasoned bread are quite tasty.
|
I prefer Burger King myself. I find that KFC are too stingy with their meals, you get hardly any fries for what you pay. As for getting cold burgers and chips it depends on when you order i guess.

In-n-Out, of course. However, since I am living in Hawaii currently, that's not possible.
So, I guess my favorite would be Burger King. Flame-broiled whoppers are easily one of the best items on the fast-food menu. |
Oh man, I know no one (save maybe RR and Wojo) will know what I'm talking about, but the best damn fast food anywhere is served piping hot right on Forbes in a little place we like to call "The Dirty O". While this may not be a chain, it has been recognized throughout the country for serving the best hot dogs, that are crisp to bite into and filled with flavor. And, oh yeah, the fries are fucking orgasmic. Served in heaping portions (A small can feed 3 and a large 10) and made from fresh potatoes, they're cooked to perfection in peanut oil, sprinkled with salt, and, for me at least, dipped in some delicious cheese sauce.
God damn I love the O. |
I can't really choose between KFC, Subway, Burger King and McDonald's. Kinda depends on what type of mood I'm in.
For taste and value for money, I'd have to go with Subway. You know it's fresh, as it's made right in front of your face, and you choose how much or how little you have on it in terms of toppings. Heaven. |
In-N-Out, but they seem to be in the most fucked up locations most of the time.
|
I always saw Subway in a bit of a different light than other fast food places. I suppose I'm just conditioned to think that fast food places are always just straight-up bad for you, so I never grouped it in with the rest.
So, though Subway's my favorite, I don't really think it counts. Burger King's gonna take the crown I think, 'cause their poutine owns. I know they don't have it in America. You're missing out. Seriously. |
Can we consider Chinese take-out as fast food? Because Chinese is HANDS DOWN my most favorite fast food ever.
If it doesn't count, I suppose I would have to say Wendy's. I'm not a big fan of burger joints of chicken shacks, but as far as Wendy's and their fries go, I'm there. |

Hmm well my 2 favorite fast food restaurants are nowhwere near where I live. Jack in the Box for the ultimate bacon cheeseburger, and White Castle fo the sliders. Yummy goodness.
Since I don't have either one of those near me the next best thing would have to be Chipotle. Love the fajita bowls. |
Taco Bell, for a few reasons. The prices are cheap and the portions decent. I usually get 2 chicken quesedillas and Baja Mountain Dew. I think the total comes to like 6.50 or something. Not too bad
If not, I go to McD's and get a chicken sandwhich off the dollar menu. |
I used to like Burger King until recently I think BK doesn't taste as good as before, lol.
It's hard for me to pick between the two, but I'd say if I'm in the mood for some salad, I like Taco Bell's "Fiesta Taco Salad". But most of the time I'd choose Chipotle. I love their soft tacos, especially their guacamole. YUMMM!!!! |
I like Wendy's alot. Between Wendys, Mcdonalds, and Burger King, Wendys frys are infact far superior. Plus, the spicy chicken is to die for. I have tried Mcdonald's new spicy, and although I can at least bear it unlike most of their other food, it can't match.
|

I actually like KFC a whole lot, especially since at the one I used to frequent, I would get discounts and free drinks and such because I went there so much. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but I think it made the food taste better. |
Mcdonalds. I love their McChicken and Fish sandwiches.
|
Being raised in Cincinnati, OH all my life has made me a HUGE fan of skyline chili. It's a very watery chilli dumped over spaghetti noodles or hot dogs. Either way it's toped with a lot of cheese. It's really freakin' great but I'm fairly sure it hasn't spread past the tri-state area.
|
Quote:
I really liked sonic, I used to eat there while visiting my grandparents in Tennessee. They don't have any around the Cincinnati area though. I remember they were old style, pull up and order type place. The chilli dogs and the burgers were both quite good. |
Chipotle PLEASE.
It's healthy (at least, healthier than burger joints I presume) and hearty (them burritos are BIG). Plus, if you show them your student ID, you get a free drink. What's not to like? They raised their prices a little bit recently, but it's still overall my favorite fast food place to go. |
I like In-N-Out. Chipotle is another place I've been ordering food from lately. I usually order the chicken tacos from the latter.
|
I'm not a huge fan of fast food places. Their food is quite greasy and it often gives me indigestion.
However, if I'm very hungry or in a rush, I'll commit myself to Wendy's or Arby's. Also, we have a chain called "Mighty Taco" here that far exceeds anything Taco Bell can manage. If I'm willing to endure the gas, I'll hit up the Mighty Taco as well. Also, Tim Horton's sandwiches are decent now and then. |
I avoid the fried fast food places nowadays. Subway is typically what I'll get on lunch breaks at work because, frankly, I'm already a fatass and I was pretty close to cracking 200 pounds at one point and I wasn't about to be content with that. Not that I'm content with 180-185 as I've been for the past couple weeks but at least it's not the big two-zero-zero.
|
I find you can get the most food for the least money at a Burger King, but the best tasting fast food is the Big Mac from McDonalds by far. Though I only eat fast food very rarely, I can't help but have a big mac every once in a while.
Also: WTF?!?, Theres Tim Hortons in the States? |
Anyone else agree with me that the fries at Burger King [It's good to be the king] are far superior to any of the other major three burger joint? McDonalds are always mushy. Wendy's are okay, but they lack flavor. Burger Kings seem to be seasoned to perfection, and they have just the right crispyness, while maintaining a soft, potato center. I am hungry now. :)
|
Burger King has good fries, but I still prefer Jack in the Box to all. The fact that they also have curly fries is also amazing.
For fast food, I'd probably have to pick Taco-Bell. The Crunch-Wraps are fucking amazing, I didn't even like them at first but I kept going back for more and more. The nacho-cheese on the inside pretty much perfects the recipe. A close runner-up is Sam's Club's polish dogs. These things are delicious and it only didn't win because there is only like 3 Sam's Clubs around here compared to the 38 Taco Bells. |
I would have to say Subway is my favorite fast food place. I go there way to damn much and spend way to much money on their Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwiches.
I would rather go there than McDonalds, Burger King or any other place. Unhealthy still, but not as bad. |
Harvey's, no question. Their burgers are waaaay better then your standard burger joint food and their onion rings are to die for. I always get an original bacon cheeseburger with onion rings (or fries if I'm in the mood) and a diet pop. Delicious.

I couldn't agree with you more there. Every time I go to BK there it always seems like I get the fresh fries. With Mcdonald's there's always a chace you'll get shafted with the semi-cool, dirty yellow mush fries. I also think it's hilarious how Mcdonald's has finally discovered the bacon cheeseburger. :judge: |
Once I was hungry, walking back home from my bus stop. No good places to eat on the way home but a KFC.
I figured I'd go in there and order something like chicken fingers. They actually have a very decent lunch-type menu. They make delicious chicken wraps. And I'd say potato wedges are better than fries. Even though I hate KFC's chicken most of the time (their cuts of chicken can sometimes be repulsive), some of their stuff is excellent. I want to say Chipotle, but that's somewhere in between a real restaurant and a takeout place and a fast food restaurant. Even though it's supposedly owned by McDonalds. (Food tastes a bit too good for McDonalds company, but okay.) |
Ouch. I have a three-way tie between Taco Bell, Burger King, and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
|
1. Tim Hortons - I luv Timmy's!!!!!
2. Second Cup - its a cafe..does that count? 3. Taco Bell - their apple pies are soooooooooo good. Tim Hortons is awesome - they have 'healthy' food and junk food: bagles, sandwiches, soups, donuts, cookies (I luv their caramel pecan cookies!) and of course - caffinated drinks! So much variety - and such a good deal :D Second Cup - their espressos are what keep me going during exams - its self explanatory. Taco Bell - everything is awesome!!!!! |

If chinese takeout doesn't count, then Subway. I've been addicted to it for a while now. Although as of late I'm not above running to Burger King for the burger and McDonald's for the fries. Granted, they're right across the street from each other, but still. Not above it.
|
I don't eat at fast food joints often, but when I find myself short on time or just craving some fast food, I almost always end up at Sonic or Taco Bell. If I had to choose between the two, I'd have to pick Sonic. I really like their tator tots and No. 1 burger and they get bonus points for having pretty good desserts for a fast food place.
Taco Bell comes in at a close second. There's not much on their menu that I don't like, but if I have time, I almost always opt for real Mexican food from our local taqueria. |
Wendy's, it's got the best tasting burgers hands down. Triple quarter pounders go down like candy. Also, Subway has got to count as fast food, as they now have the reach of McDonald's...I recently went to Ireland and found it in both of the cities I went to (Dublin and Galway). A friend told me it's 2nd to McDonald's in reach, by the numbers.
|
My favorite would have to be Wendy's. Their burgers are superior to that of McDonald's and BK's. Taco bell would be my second favorite, but Wendy's is by far better. They have the best fries, burgers and their chicken sandwiches are top notch.
|
Burger King, because of the following ->
1) the Paper Crowns! 2) the French Fries are better 3) the Paper Crowns! 4) the personnel is nicer 5) the Paper Crowns! 6) Burger King TV with 50cent and Beyonce videos!! 7) the Paper Crowns 6) |
I love Nordsee ("North Sea"), which is a German thing, but still, they're sort of a "high quality" fast food chain with a large variety of all things seafood.
Plus, you can get fresh raw fish there and make your own Sushi at home. |
burger king sucks cause they say that their burgers are charbroilled, but really they're just burnt.
arby's is the best for fast food. nothing like getting a chicken bacon swiss combo with curly fries and a mt. dew, and an extra arby's melt. taco bell ain't so bad either as i'm a sucker for a grilled stuft burrito. panda express is pretty good too if you consider that fast food (i figure it is since it has a drive thru). gotta love the orange chicken. |
McDonalds unless I can exclusively give Jack In The Box rights for their tacos.
|
I think Taco Bell needs a breakfast menu including breakfast burritos. maybe i should write them a letter.

My favorite fast food place is C&L Burger Bar, its a local place only in my town. I've always liked eating there ever since I was a kid. The food that I usually order is grilled cheese and a blackberry shake.
|
Everyone knows that Popeye's is the best.
|
Nando's is totally awesome, if you ever see one go try it.
|
I love Taco Bell and Subway (though I dunno if Subway is fast food - I think it is).
I love the crunch wrap supreme at Taco Bell, it's really good and I tend to buy that a lot. As for Subway: Footlong Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki on Italian Herbs and Cheese - Toasted. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, olives, and cucumbers are included. I love it - my favorite sub. |
I'm with Tenacious D, Wendy's is the best damn fast food place ever. My second being Carl's Jr. Double Western....mmmmm... Other then that, most other places are crap! But if one has to take the cake for being the worst frakking fast food...it is most definitely Jim Boys Tacos.
|
I vaguely remember answering this question on this board before... In any case, my favorite fast-food restaurant has to be Jack-in-the-Box. Such variety. Such wonderful goodness.
|
Burger King, while many people dislike this place for some reason I love it. Burger King is one of those place that is worth the clogged arteries later in life. Their fries are the best and the Angus burger ain't bad (although its really just a Whoppers with a new name and some new ingredients, not that its such a bad thing). In-and-out also has some great food since all their stuff is fresh and they use what some people might consider as more healthy ingredients.
|
KFC. Those buffalo wings rock out loud. :edgarrock:
|
Mc Donald's... I love their filet-o-fish menu.
|
There all good around here, Burger King for their mean Whopper, A&W for their root beer, Harveys for their burgers, McDonalds for their big mac, and Arbys for their incredible specials, like I said there all good, but If I had to choose, Burger King wins, because me and my family visit that fast food restaurant more than the others.
|
I rarely buy fast food (usually only when drunk). But I think my favourite would have to be McDonalds. The fries are probably the best and I like the Aussie Burger and Double Quarter Pounders.
Also in Australia, Wendy's is an pretty much an icecream exclusive chain. I was confused at why it was considered a fast-food chain at first, but then I did a little research. |
My favorite fast food chain is Sonic. Around where I live, the McDonald's and Wendy's aren't the best, but Sonic is usually pretty good.
I'm just mad at Sonic for cancelling the Chicken Club toaster meal. I used to get one of those every time I went there. |
Yeah, so I went to Burger king on friday with my friend and I order the cheesy bacon chicken sandwich. I sit down to eat and I take a look at my sandwich. Guess what they didn't put on the sandwich? Cheese and bacon.
|
In-n-Out. Arent they only California?
|
Right now, I would say Taco Bell is my favorite, just because they brought back the Crunchwrap Surpreme, which id the best fast food invention of all time (I must have eaten about 12 of those things since they brought them back recently). But in general, I would say Burger King is my favorite fast food restaurant, because they have the best burgers in my opinion.
|
IN-N-Out. Mmmmm...5x5 and animal fries.... with a neopolitan shake. Yummy.
|
I'd probably say McDonalds simply because I hardly ever eat fast food but I think theirs tastes better than Burger King, especially the fries. KFC isn't bad either but I go so rarely I don't have a proper opinion of it.
|
k
Wendys beats Mcdo and Burger King for me. Gotta love that chili.
|
The fast food Asian places around here are the shit. Chicken Yakisoba at Edo is great. There are so many fast food Asian places in Montreal though - and most of them have at least one really good dish.
|
I'd have to say Chick-Fil-A. The chicken is absolutely delicious and it actually fills me up unlike some other places that leave me wanting to eat more. This is tied with Burger King. The fries that are served at Burger King taste seasoned which makes them very tasty. If I could I probably would eat an infinite amount of their fries.

Yep, that chili thats made from the burger patties that they didn't sell yesterday (no joke). There was an awesome fast food salad/wrap bar down the street here; huge portions, delicious wraps and hot panini sandwiches. Sadly, the location they occupied is fnarking cursed--no business has been able to stay there more than a few months at at time. Down in college town there's a place called D.P. Dough. They are open til 4 A.M. and serve calzones packed with every conceivable ingredient you could think of, if you like. When its the wee hours of the morning, you've got studying or the beer munchies, that's the place to hit up. |
Really? Well, seeing as I work at Sonic's I got tired of their food. So, off to MickyD's I go. The usual 4 dbl Cheeseburger will do for me :).
|
It's all about wendy's.
There is nothing like a triple cheese burger from wendys, no matter what I'm in thhe mood for It always hits the spot. Though, I'm sure someday the grease will kill me. |
My favourite fast-food restaurants are McDonald's and one that, perhaps, many of you guys haven't heard of before, since is a Brazilian fast-food.
It's an arabic food fast-food restaurant, its name is Habib's. Pretty nice esfihas, nice food... :p |
Im gonna say Checkers would be on my tops for fast food. There the only place that gives you a good deal of food for cheap, and theyre burgers dont taste like watered down garbage.
|
I'm all about the Pita Pit. they use fresh ingredients and they make it right infront of you, so you get exactly what you want and it's a lot better for you. I usually get the chicken caesar.
I used to love Wendy's, but I find after eating something from there I spend the rest of the day trying to clear the grease out of my throat. which kinda puts me off wanting to eat there very much. |
I like Wendy's and Subway. I find that any other fast food just sits in my mouth like a huge rock.
I do agree with Ava about Wendy's having the potential to be greesy. Having worked there, I am aware if that the meat is hot handled correctly by the grill operator, it can be much more greasy than necessary. Furthermore, I highly prefer the fresh salads to the french fries. For me, the option of a salad that I know is prepared from freshly cut greens every morning (as opposed to a vacuum packed vegetable mix) is a complete win. |
Capo, I live 10 minutes walking from the 'Dirty' O, trust me, I know alllllll about it. You know it's for sale, it'll be sad the day it's gone :( But now that a Five Guys opened up next to it, I can fulfill my giant sloppy burger wishes and cajun fries dreams to my hearts content. Five Guys started in the DC area but has moved up to Pittsburgh and I couldn't be happier. If you've ever eaten a Five Guys burger, you know what I'm talking about.
I'll take Chick-fil-A, Wendy's or the T Bell if I can't get some real food. City living just has too many small restaurants that are amazingly priced for fast food. *edit* you have to get the cheese sauce. i mean come on. |
I would say A&W is one of my favorites. Mcdonalds second and Wendy's third.
|
Quote:
And secondly, OF COURSE you get the cheese sauce. The fries are sex with it. And, yeah, I was just at Five Guys this Wednesday when I was skipping the field trip my class was on. I got a Bacon Cheeseburger and man was it delicious. I should be back there soon. |
i read about the sale in the city paper, i guess they aren't the most reputable. the five guys up here actually don't touch the DC area goodness. I just don't think they have the experience (lvl up the burger skills lol), but the meat mass does seem smaller =/
|
I hate it so say it, but I love Mcdonalds when it comes to fast food restaurants. I normally get Spicy McChicken Sandwiches! As a poor college student, this is what I get every now and then on campus.
|
Quote:
|
I went to White Castle yesterday. I love it, but since it's a good 20 minute drive, I rarely have it. I guess that would rank up their with my favorites but since I have it so rarely I didn't take it into consideration. Chicken rings with honey mustard sauce is the best.
|
KFC because of their buffalo wings and their new bufflalo snackers. Only decent place around my house that has hot foods.
|
just gotta go, OPORTO XD for health i go subway and eat about 2 feet -.-"
|
Quote:
In-n-Out is my favorite too. But we don't have those here in Ohio, so my favorite within a reasonable drive is Chipotle =p |
Burger King and Subway.. ^__^;
although i don't count Subway as fastfood, because i stereotype fast food as being unhealthy. XP |
Although I usually don't eat fast food, we have a burger chain here in Sweden called "mAx" that I can go to w/o regrets. It beats the crap out of all the other chains and spits on their rotting corpses. You get more than enough to eat and you don't need to pay more than at the competitor's chains. If you ever get a chance to go to Sweden, you should check 'em out. I personally recommend the chicken burger, mmm yummy. *munch*
|
Panda Express has become my new favourite sensation since they opened one up in my area.
Even though I would prefer to go to a sit-down chinese restaurant and eat there I don't usually mind sacrificing what tastes good to the time it takes to get the good stuff. Also, Sonic has some pretty awesome drinks |
I like to vary it up a bit.
Chipotle: Chicken Burrito + stuff. McDonald's: Quarter Pounder Meal. Checker's: Burger (whatever's on sale) + Large Chili Cheese Fries. Soooo good = INSTANT DIE KTHX. Chick-fil-a: Combo #1 on a wheat bun. <3 waffle fries. Subway: Grilled chicken on herbs and cheese. Panda Express: Mandarin Chieken Bowl. Sometimes. There's a bunch of other joints I hit up, but these ones get hit up the most. |
KFC, their crispy chicken breasts are the best. Oh I just lov it.
Hoka-Hoka Bento. I love their chicken katsu and kani roll. Very delicious! |
Arby's - for their curly fries and burgers
McD's - filet o' fish and fries Tim Horton's - donuts and timbits |
Arby's I like, but not enough to hop onto an eight or nine hour flight for one!
Here, I'd go with McDonalds or Burger King, although I haven't been to either for a long time now. |
In 'N Out, Quiznos, Wendy's, White Castle - in that order.
|
Two way tie. A&W and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
|
Two I usually favor above the rest: Arby's and Wendy's. I usually go to Wendy's more since there isn't an Arby's near where I live. And the $0.99 value menu at Wendy's is great. Lots of decent items on the cheap, especially the Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
I don't eat fast food often though. |
