GFF & ChocoJournal Features - New
 

Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back for the summer so I should be able to make a lot of awesome updates to Gamingforce! I haven't been too active recently so I have a lot of catching up to do, but as I browsed the feature threads, I noticed that some have been added already or it was difficult to distinguish what everyone wanted to see first.

What features for both GFF and ChocoJournal would you like to see added first?

Chocopie FTW.

I was just thinking about that. I will work on ChocoPie first!

Definately need the return of Chocopie. Second, return of "Who Quoted Me". Third, we need the return of the ratings system.

And because it needs to be done.

haha, bobo. blah did some updates to chocojournal since you weren't around. I haven't uploaded the php file yet though, so maybe I'll just send it your way instead.

Chocopie and "Who quoted me" seem to be among the most wanted ones.

And if you could look into this problem that some of us are having regarding the gender icons that would be incredibly awsome as well.

Just Chocopie for me, but you're doing that already, so um, great :D

Also, is it possible to bring back that space shooter to the Arcade? I forgot the name of it though, but it was here before the crash.

Gender icons, like flags, are kind of pointless because of the people who pick the wrong ones deliberately. Just my two cents.

I also third or fourth or whatever to bring back chocopie and who quoted me. Also, if it isn't too hard, I wouldn't mind seeing Chocodecide come back, as useless as it was, but it definitely doesn't have to be on top of the list of features to bring back.

Also note the suggestions and pleads to remove the recently commented list.

Why? I use that list a lot.

I noticed that, if you're not logged in, some people's journals can be read and others can't. How can you ban anonymous viewers?

I believe this is a glitch in the vB code.

Perhaps you could also solve/explain the issue of doubleback.

You can ban anonymous users by entering userID 0 in the ban list.

A quote button or a WYSIWYG editor would be awesome in chocojournals.

I second this. I don't think ratings should come back though. It's pretty pointless and open to abuse.

I think ratings, together with the option to turn your own on or off, as per personal preference, should be brought back. Just so the option is there for the people who did enjoy them.

I forgot that you could turn them on and off. I'm more indifferent to them now.

I have to implore people that once they are brought back, please don't use the "Look, I am a five, you're barely a three," argument.

Since the Best Song Contest 2006 is advancing with great strides, it would be nice if you could implant the feature, where those little poll icons get ticked off once you vote in a poll. Without this, it'd probably get chaotic within a given time.

bobo, while you were gone, we had a pretty good discussion on the prop system, what can be done about it and other, perhaps better ways to use the front page of ChocoJournal. Sass and I actually even agreed on something!

If user ratings are brought back I'd really like to see the ability to actually post a review of the user. This is not meant to be a way to flame somebody, but simply a way to give them more specific feedback on what is liked/disliked about their posting habits - it would be better than just a number.

Could we get a poll in your journal feature??

That would be abused, I can see it coming.

If the rating system came back it'd be nice if you could view your last 10 ratings, and who rated you.
