100 Movies In A Picture

http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4...link1ri.th.jpg

I made a thread like this but with the music one.

It would probably be too hectic to try and do this together, but what movies do you see?

Scorpion King :D

Rockgamer May 25, 2006 05:59 PM

Dances With Wolves
Napoleon Dynamite
Bend It Like Beckham
Laputa: Castle in the Sky (I think)

That's all I could find at the moment. I'm not much of a movie person, so I probably won't get most of the references.

Domino May 25, 2006 06:02 PM

Bigfoot
Saw II
Toy Story
Big Fish
A Clockwork Orange
Crash
Chicken Run
Broken Arrow
Domino

I'll stop there for now.

Render May 25, 2006 06:02 PM

It just occurred to me that the empty pothole may actually be the classic Disney sci-fi tale: The Black Hole.

Hmm what did I see:

Kingdom of Heaven
Dante's Peak

Red Eye

Potentially, though I have a feeling they're mostly going to have thought of newer films.

The annoying thing is that going by the site's page on the quiz (here) images can be used to represent multiple things it would seem (Saw and Saw II, for example) so I don't know how that affects other things. I added 'Cars' to the list as a result, but could I just as easily add 'Traffic'? Does the knife being in the tree mean anything or is it as simple as 'Blade'? Gah.

And yeah the black star is bothering me too.

DarthSavior May 26, 2006 04:44 AM

Yeah, like that road sign with the 7. One could say Se7en, or one could say The Seventh Sign.

Put Balls May 26, 2006 12:00 PM

Daylight (=,D)
Dune
The Eagle has Landed (1974)
The Pacifier (on the lightpost)
Dragonfly, near the ambiguous black star.

Maybe the star means the quite obscure movie "Dark Star" or just referring to Mos Def?

Dunno, had my fun with the picture. Hope they help. :p

Edit: Still not 100% on the eagle one, I like "The Eagle has Landed" though (having just read the post above this).

Edit 2: I have the blacked out man in the mid-top left as 'Shadow Man', but could it be/also be The Elephant Man?

Talbain May 26, 2006 03:32 PM

Missing:

Contact
Pete's Dragon
Bird on a Wire
Alien
Beethoven

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon May 26, 2006 04:46 PM

I mentioned "Beethoven" in my list. Someone else also said "Mannequin", which seems correct. So is "Tin Cup".

Bird On A Wire is probably one of those unintentional answers, like "Cars" and "Traffic".

Where is "Alien" and "Contact"?

Also, this is really bugging the hell out of me. "Green Eggs and Ham" was never an actual movie. It was an animated short. I don't know why it's seemingly featured in the picture.

One more thing: What does that big-ass dog in the foreground represent??

Yes, both those points are bugging the crap out of me also. I was speaking to my flat mate who convinced me "Green Eggs and Ham" was a film but I couldn't place it for the life of me.

NYRSkate May 26, 2006 07:09 PM

The Napoleon-looking guy in the lower right is from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Crash, you of all people should have got that.

Talbain May 26, 2006 08:03 PM

1 Attachment(s)
Alien circled in red, contact circled in pink.

Upon further reflection, it could also be a ring. Very ambiguous.

I was going off of the condensed list, apologies for the mistake.
