The One Game You Would Never, Ever Trade...
 

So yeah, trade-ins seem to be the thing to do these days. It's the new debit card, in a manner of speaking. You trade in games you don't want anymore, and get free money for another game.

But any decent gamer has at least one game in their collection they'd never, ever, ever trade or sell. One game that will forever remain with that person. What game(s) would you never in a million years trade in?

I'll never get rid of my copies of Legend of Dragoon, Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar: Eternal Blue, Dark Cloud 2, Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner, NiGHTS Into Dreams, Legend of Legaia, Blast Corps for the N64, Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG for the SNES, or Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1. These are games that I've played numerous times over and enjoyed them every single time.

Legend of Dragoon needs a sequel. Bad. LoD kicked so much ass both in the story it told and the game play. I loved the characters, the cities, the music -- everything about Legend of Dragoon makes me unwilling to part with it.

The two Lunar games are gems that will be with me in my grave. These are the COMPLETE (hey, they use caps too) versions for the PS1, and I still have their boxes intact. Even if it was maybe a bit generic, the Lunar games were still stunningly perfect and shining examples of RPGs done right. Especially Lunar: EB, what with the Epilogue and all.

Dark Cloud 2 on the PS2. I think that, even if I could get rid of my Sony-loving label, it'd be instantly replaced with Dark Cloud 2. It's my strong belief that if every sequel progressed as Dark Cloud 2 did from the first game, then every sequel would be absolute must-haves. Dark Cloud 2 improves upon everything and so much more, making it the most complete game I've ever played for the PS2.

Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner is a game I've played way more than once, especially considering how short it is. But on the upside, there are reasons to replay it so by the time you're 100% done with it, it still has a decent play time. This is another example of a sequel done right, with re-done graphics using a slight bit of cel-shading, new moves for combat, better voice acting, and cool mini-games.

If you haven't played NiGHTS Into Dreams, then in my opinion you really haven't experiences all of what gaming truly is. I played NiGHTS when I was younger, and the impression has never left me. There is an underlying charm to NiGHTS that never lets you put the controller (or arcade stick, as the case may be) down for a second, whether it's the unique Nights characters or the awesome experience of side-scrolling acrobatic flight. Coupled with the ability to literally change the whole game's theme by changing the in-game calendar to certain holidays, NiGHTS is a hell of an experience.

The Legend of Legaia is a game that actually does have a sequel, but sadly it slightly fails to improve upon its predecessor. The original game had an awesome combat engine and an incredible story. The story was actually kinda dark with a sense of urgency to save the planet. The characters were more than fully-developed, really giving you a sense of who they were and who everyone around them were. Legaia probably suceeds best in the character development, but the overall game is a thrill to play.

Gonna wrap this up now since I'm getting tired. Blast Corps for the N64 was just a lot of fun, and the J-Bomb is the coolest construction machine ever. The levels were fun and all the different robots were cool too -- come on, who doesn't remember the moon level?

Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and Final Fantasy 7 really need little explanation. Those three games, for me, are the sole reason why I got in to RPGs, and it started with Chrono Trigger. Had these games never come out, I don't think I'd even be as much of a gamer as I am today, much less an RPG gamer.

You mentioned NiGHTS or however it's capitalized. I remember the huge analog controller that was packed with. Coolness.

Of all the games I have, I don't think I'd ever trade Final Fantsy Tactics (non-GH). I never even played it far enough to hate Albus. It's just that I remember getting this out of interest derived from VII and picked it up to be sideswiped by the difference. I never touched it then I found out how rare it was. I kept it till I thought the price was right. Yeah, the Sony reprinted it. Now I just keep it because of sentimental value, not monetary. Sadly.

I'd probably never trade away Phoenix Wright. Even though it's probably not as rare as it is at this point, it's one of those games that even though you can only play it once, you NEVER want to let go of it because you want other people to play it and bask in the reason why I love the game so much.

I never really got that many games when I was younger, so I never had those wonderous opportunities to get amazing games. Times I highly despise my parents for not letting me get games.

What is wrong with you. No, seriously. I can halfway understand FF7 fanboyism, since that was a decent, if highly overrated game. But Legend of Dragoon is so unrelentingly bad in every way imaginable, I have to question if we were even playing the same game.

I count myself lucky to have gotten my hands on a best-seller copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Even that proved hard to find, and the hunt was definitely worth it. Somehow the game has yet to get old through the various replays, especially with some of the rare items that get dropped occasionally.

Klonoa 2 is awesome, I don't care how poorly it sold. Never giving it away.

Final Fantasy Tactics would have to be mine. As easy as the game was, there was so much fun to be had playing it.

And LoD is terrible, for the record.

I'll never trade any of my games really, no matter how much is offered. When I get a brand new copy of a game, I shudder to think what some stupid fuck would end up doing to it if I sold it for some meager trade-in value. I'd rather keep every game I have and all the memories associated with them, because I wouldn't have it any other way.

If I had to choose a single game in my collection however, it would easily fall to Suikoden II. Anyone who lays a hand on that game, will no longer possess that hand before they leave my room.

This thread just reminds me that I foolishly traded Terranigma in many years ago. Never. Found. Another. Copy. Since.

But uuh, Sonic 2. Master System. Not just because it's quite seriously my favorite game ever, this particular copy has a lot of PRECIOUS MEMORIES infused in it, almost like herbal tea. Which I won't get into, because that'd make this some weird Quiet Place/ChocoJournal entry. Plus there's the whole thing where I'd get about ten cents if I sold it anyway.

Then there would be the magical range of WHAT that I've stumbled upon over the years in one particular pawn shop. A MAGICAL pawn shop. Filled with WHAT every now and then. Games like Little Red Hood on NES, an unbelievably rare, yet hilariously terrible (ie: awesome) NES game. Or Guilty Gear X2 on PS2, PAL version, which didn't even get an actual release here in Australia. HOW DID IT SHOW UP IN THIS PAWN SHOP? It's magical I tell you. Others games in this exclusive range include Guardian Heroes, NTSC Grandia 2 for DC (factory sealed at that, HOW? MAGICAL PAWN SHOP. But then I opened it to play it and listen to the music CD oh dear), Pulseman, Vib Ribbon and what looks to be a funky pirated copy of Rockman Mega World with awesome box art.

If I sell this stuff I'll never be able to find them again. :( MAGICAL.

If I need the money, and the deal's good, I'll trade in any of my games.

It's interesting that my most expensive game also turns out to be my # 1 treasured game. I searched high and low and every shop imaginable in my city as well as a few in the US whenever I was there. Valkyrie Profile now sits in my stash of games to NEVER be even lent out. It's my personal holy grail, not so much of it being a kick ass game, but it's a fucking needle in a haystack to find, in my opinion. You guys might have easier time finding it, but it was a hell of a ride to get it, and then I succumbed to getting it off of Ebay. ;_;

That reminds me of how much of a moron I was to sell my favourite game in existence: Valkyrie Profile. I already beat Iseria Queen over 12 times and when I finally beefed up Valkyrie to Level 99 with all the extra experience, I decided to sell it. Getting Dragoon Helms for each of my characters seemed pointless when they wouldn't survive the Queen's attacks anyways.

Thankfully the remake and sequel are coming out so I might as well get those.


That said, I'm a trade whore and the only game that I have left is Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. I think I've learned my lesson and will never trade that in. Getting to level 9999 is a goal that would takes years for me to complete anyways.

Then there are the PC games that I couldn't possibly trade in if I wanted to, such as Grim Fandango, Gearheads, Sacrifice, Messiah, etc.

I can easily say that the only games I wouldn't mind losing are Ephemeral Fantasia and Threads of Fate/Dew Prism. Both are games I only played once and never picked up again. I never finished the former game either.

Otherwise, I wouldn't trade any other games in my collection. I've only had one experience with trading in a game, and I wasn't interested in their offer. I think this was five or six years ago, so I'm not sure if they have a different procedure now.

I will never ever trade in any RPG that I own. Period. This includes RPG's such as FF7, Parasite Eve 1 and 2, Legend of Legaia, Vagrant Story, FFT, Tales of Destiny, Xenogears Suikoden 1 and 2, etc etc. But in terms of sheer coolness the game I will never ever trade in is Graffiti Kingdom.

Anyways, I'd probably hold onto Ace Combat 2 and Final Fantasy Tactics, two games which I still enjoy to this day. FFVII and Xenogears too, and if I ever get my hands on another copy of Einhander, that too.

I will never trade in Metal Gear Solid 2 or Zone of The Enders 2 (like you said). Also, Paper mario 2: The Thousand Year Door is one of the best games ever made, I will never trade it in!

Does "My Whole Collection" count as one? I don't buy games I don't want to keep. Since that's not in keeping with the spirit of the thread, I suppose it would have to be a Super Robot Wars game. I'll say SRW Alpha, but I don't want to give up Alpha 2 or 3 either. ;_;

The one game that I will NEVER sell is my Collector's Edition, version 1.0 cartridge for the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I would have hard time parting with any of the games i own. If i had to pick one to keep to the end of the earth (EVEN IF I DIDN'T HAVE THE CONSOLE :O) would probably be Mario RPG for SNES.

I probably would say Chrono Trigger, but i don't own that one (still looking) and when i do get ahold of it, it's replacing Mario RPG easily.

I've got a few games like that.

1: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - It was such a masterpiece that it's lost absolutely no replay value, no matter how many times I've beaten the socks off Dracula.

2: Pokemon Emerald - It's got over two years' worth of work on it. I've raised my Pokemon to the point where I'd be willing to battle anyone, I've that much confidence in their strength.

3: Twisted Metal 2 - That shit's just FUN. It's probably worth nothing anyhow, but no matter. Co-op mode is an awesome activity.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
First RPG I ever played. I became OBSESSED with it when I was little. So, so fun. Even though I have a copy of Four Swords Adventures for my GBA, I still can't let go of that SNES cartridge. It's just part of my childhood now.

Final Fantasy III
For the SNES. It remains, in my humble opinion, the greatest Final Fantasy ever made. Kefka just fucking rocked my socks off when I was seven.

Harvest Moon
The original for the SNES. I've always thought this was the most fun out of all the HM's, although Mineral Town comes darn close.

Meanwhile, the only game I've ever traded in and regretted was Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. So many hours in Item World, gone :(.

I don't feel like getting ass-raped by EB or Gamestop giving me shit value for games I can easily get more money on eBay with, and letting them sell it for over twice the amount they give me.

Not to mention that I won't sell my games either, so it's really a moot point to begin with, but I can't help but laugh, really really hard, at people stupid enough to pay for their games and then trade 4 of them worth $100 to get one $50 game.

well I have to say all my games, I doN,t know even if I have some bad games in my colelction I just don't want to sell or trade them XD and I really don't understand the people that buy a game finish it and sell it like the next week >.>

Chalk another one for VP. I have Xenogears but I haven't even touched it yet. I guess this one's a keeper too! Now, thinking about it, I highly doubt I'll ever trade in or sell any of my other games, including Gran Turismo 3 as noted in another thread in Sony Scape. It's got that sentimental feeling to it, like the first $5 bill you earned from your paper route.

Right now, I'm at the point where I probably wouldn't trade in any of my games in anymore, except for maybe one or two GBA games. I don't know why, but I've been thinking long-term in regards to my game collections, especially for my PS2. I'll probably always keep up with whatever is current at the moment, but I also want to be able to pull out an old console or handheld and give it a spin every once in a while, something I haven't been able to do with my older consoles (since, for some reason, we've always wound up giving our old consoles and away to other people).

As for specific games, ones that I will keep above all, I have a few:

24: The Game: I don't see myself ever getting rid of something 24 related, and this game is no exception.

Final Fantasy Tactics: All the Final Fantasy games (that I've played, anyway) are great games that I would never trade in, but this one especially. Definitely the best PS1 game ever.

Gungrave/Gungrave Overdose: I love just about anything connected with Gungrave, so along with my DVDs of the anime, I'll never get rid of these two games.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: This game is like a good book: you'll always come back to it eventually. It might not have that much immediate replay value, but a couple of years from now I could see myself playing this again and having just as much fun with it as I did the first time.

Zone of the Enders/Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner/Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars: The first two are my favorite PS2 games ever, and probably my favorite games of all time, and the last one is one of the best GBA games out there. I actually made the mistake of trading in the first game, back when I first got my PS2 and wanted new games to play, but I will definitely never do that again, nor will I ever do that with the sequel or the GBA game.

I'm never parting with Guilty Gear for the Playstation. Yeah, the XX series is twenty times better, but there's so much sentimental value in the original, and I've never seen it anywhere else, ever (even on eBay).

I'll also never part with In the Groove. I don't care if it sold horribly. It's out of print now and I'd be scared if I ever had to find it again. MINE! >_>

There's a SHITLOAD of value into my Megaman games. Born with it, and still play through it up to this day. There are no games out yet but those game are prized possession that i cannot sell.

The same goes for my fighting games. the 3d ones i can let go.

My games I could not part with include:

Goldeneye007 - Amazing game, I still play to this day.
Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Another game I will still play long after the N64 is forgotten...
Super Mario World - This game has always been a favorite of mine, some of the best music and was my favorite of all of the Mario games...
Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening - My first Zelda game....started it all...

Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, I keep thinking of more as I think about it...I'm still not over the Nintendo 64 system...and probably never will be...

For me, I haven't sold any game that I've owned, and I don't think I ever will. Except maybe Jet Force Gemini.... That game is a piece.

In terms of games most valuable to me,I have to agree with Griffin.My N64 Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Gold Cart. Unlike you Griffin, I did keep the box (and I think the manual). :)

Other than that, I would keep all my NES games (LoZ, FF1, DQ1), my SNES games, most of my N64 games, as well as my working Atari with 30+ games.

I've never seen a Zelda OoT cartridge that isn't made of tasty gold paint. I don't think they even released the non-collectors editon here. =o If they did, it probably goes for a lot on the Aussie eBay.

Only game I've ever gotten rid of is Wild Arms, and now I wish I hadn't. Of all my games, the one I'd never even dream of getting rid of is Final Fantasy VII. One day I'm getting a frontal lobotomy so I can play it again for the "first" time.

I don't sell my games, however, if I could only pick one that I'd NEVER get rid of, it would have to be my copy of Earthbound. I would say Super Metroid (as it's my favorite game ever), HOWEVER I can find another copy pretty cheap, so losing it is not as much of a problem.

In my younger years, I sold my SNES, 4 controllers (with Multitap, for MASSIVE Bomberman sessions), and my entire library of games (including Super Metroid, Mario RPG, FFIV, Chrono Trigger, Mario Paint, Mario Kart and Super Bomberman II) for 30$ at a pawn shop so I could buy a copy of Pokemon Yellow (BTW, I ALREADY owned Red AND Blue). GOD DAMN POKEMON BRAINWASHING

I wouldn't trade any of my SNES games except for Yoshi's Safari. But no one will take that because it requires a Superscope. :( I might trade Super R-Type, too. But I wouldn't trade my vintage Super Game Boy, Mario Paint, Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger (I was offered $28 for it at the store), Final Fantasy IV, or Final Fantasy VI.

For Playstation, I wouldn't trade any of them. They're all good RPGs. I might trade Vagrant Story, but not any of the FFs, Chrono Cross, or Lunar: SSSC (I have the special edition with the box and leather bound instruction manual and whatnot).

For N64, I don't think I would trade Harvest Moon 64, StarFox 64, or Super Smash Brothers. Even though I doubt I'll ever play it again.

This might be one of the most horrific things I have ever heard.

Skies of Arcadia Legends - Some memories it gives. Also, I've had a hard time finding it around my area.

Ikaruga - Fantastic game. I don't think it's very rare, but I love it.

I will never, ever, get rid of the the two Shenmue games. They made me rethink how I felt about gaming. The gameplay, the graphics, the music (oh god, the music) you just cant beat it.

And it was the most horrific thing I ever did. I win (actually, lose, but whatever).

I would never trade my Japanese Sonic CD for anything, never, ever, ever. I probably would never find another copy. My copies of Nights and Christmas Nights also rank high. I would never get rid of those.

I think I'll keep Panzer Dragoon Saga forever, despite even it's high value. Sometimes I like holding the cardboard coated slab of dual boxed gaming joy in my hands, at the end of my outstretched arms, and twirling around until I'm dizzy, and we both collapse onto my bed where we may lay like that, together, for a period of time between 5 and 15 minutes.

I'd agree that i would never sell out a Zelda game. For they are gold and important .

I don't see the point of trading in, it's never worth it. You spent $200 on games and it's only worth $60 of new game credit. Where's the point in that? I won't ever trade in my games, unless I really hate them and even then they are probably worth even less.

Sorry... I think calling it a "piece" is a little harsh, I just found it more frustrating to play than enjoyable. The controls drove me nuts. I like the feel, look, and general gameplay however. The 2-player mode was great. So not a "piece", but it did lack in my opinion.

Anyways, most of the games that I myself bought would never be sold or traded-in. Some of the games I recieved from friends, however, I would sell if I didn't feel so damn guilty :( Here are some of my gems that I would never part with:

Koudelka, Shadow Hearts 1 & 2: played the first one years ago, and finally snagged a copy off of Ebay. I love the Shadow Hearts series for its macabre horror-esque mixed with fun RPG elements. I haven't played Koudelka yet, but I don't think I'll part with it simply because it's so damn hard to find =/

Breath of Fire IV & V: I have III as well, but I can see myself potentially selling/trading that one someday. But the fourth one was my first BoF game, and really set the standards for RPG gaming for me, and those two games are just fuckin' classics to me.

Guilty Gear X2: My friend actually gave this to me (thank you, Lacy! <3), and it's such an awesome game that introduced me to the series~

Gitaroo Man: Snagged this one off Ebay after I played it several years ago, and I love this game so much. It has awesome music and quirky characters, with really high replay value (...for me anyways; I still can't get past Born to be Bone after like 5 months! :( )

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask: I think this one is the better of the N64 duo, and it's a treasured classic for me as well. Now, if only I had an expansion pack to play it....

I'm in the same boat as Kostaki. I would never trade any of my games because likely chances are I'd want to play them again some other time in my life and wind up paying more than I got for trading the damn things in. Plus, I hate the thought of people ruining the games I took such great care of.

My SNES collection still looks brand new and *most* of my nes carts still function right (a few won't save anymore...) and they all, regardless of battery condition, look brand new. I am super anal about the condition of my games, cases, manuals, etc. I usually won't buy a game used and if I do, I'll likely replace it later on down the line with a new copy if possible and give away the older copy to a friend or something as a gift.

haha, wow, I never expected anyone to feel the same way about their collection that I did. I didn't trade because my assey parent didn't let me a few years ago, but now I just can't be bugged, and I find myself coming back to the same games over and over eventually anyway. So, yeah.

Since I've copied Gitaroo Man to my hard drive and I'm going to give the hard copy to a friend of mine, I guess the only game I'd never trade would be Persona 2. Even though it was kind of re-released on the PS1 recently, I still had a terribly difficult time finding it. I'm still looking for a copy of Persona 1.

The games I will never trade are Suikoden 1 & 2. They're such awesome games, especially Suikoden 2, and I know if I trade them in I'll never see them again. I also hold on to Grandia and Vagrant Story for the same reason.

I hate to sound lame, but I would never trade/sell any of my NES games or the system. Back when I worked at GameStop, my assistant manager BEGGED me to sell all the stuff I had to him...but I just couldn't let it go.

I have to agree, if my NES still actually worked I'd hold on it too. My policy is if I can ever find it again I have no issue trading it. But if it's of a past generation then it does not go anywhere.

Sonic The Hedgeohg CD (J) Extremely hard to find and usually expensive. If any CD was not to be sold, this would be it.
Sonic Adventure 2 Not so much hard to find or expensive, but since it's a discontinued DC game, finding one in good condition is hard. Sealed copies commonly go for more than the original MSRP of the game.

My game is Xenogears for the PS....and the thing is I don't even have a playstation anymore, nor do i plan on getting one HAHAHAHAHAHA!

So I take it that you just emulate it (and any other PS1 games) on your PC then. Okay.

I don't have many original games because they are very expensive in my country, but of the few I have the one I would never trade is my Final Fantasy VII. I bought it for a bargain, while games costed something about $200 in stores I bought mine used for $30.

As much I would like to keep every purchase I will let go of a game if the price is right. But the only games you'll be hard pressed to make me sell are my copies of Gradius 3, 4, and 5 on the PS2. Picked up the original GB release (titled nemesis) when I was six and I was hooked on it ever since. To this day its still one of the best series of side scrolling shooters I have ever played.

I would never let go of any of my metal gear solid games 1, 2 and 3. Rpg wise i wouldnt let go of tales of symphonia or FF7 or ogre battle 64. As for other random games banjo-kazooie and banjo-tooie are golden treasures.

Lunar: Silver Star Story complete is probably highest on the list. It took me years to find it.

Jet Set Radio for dreamcast. I love dreamcast games and they are hard to find.

Crazy Taxi for dreamcast. Likewise, dreamcast is quite precious to me.

Harvest Moon for snes. The game was great. I love it to death.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of selling Harvest Moon 64 which I enjoyed very much. It makes me sad. One of these days I will reclaim it on ebay or amazon.

Is the pay good? I would have imagined them paying you with next to nothing, only to sell any rarities back for half the price of a console system. Not that I would trade-in my old consoles.

For the SNES, would never trade-in Secret of Mana.
Battletoads and Double Dragon for the NES.
On the PlayStation it's between the first and second Suikoden games. As I have yet to finish the second with all the characters, I'll keep that one.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64.
As for the PlayStation 2? Haven't really played many of my PlayStation 2 games. Suikoden 4 because it's a Suikoden title?

The one game I would never trade in has to be Suikoden II.

- Vagrant Story. Still have the demo CD that came with it too, with the playable demos of Dew Prism Threads of Fate, Chocobo Racing, Front Mission 3, and videos of Chocobo's Dungeon 2, Chrono Cross, Legend of Mana, and SaGa Frontier 2.

- Xenogears. 'Nuff said.

- Gitaroo Man. Was hard enough finding it in the first place, and I can't get enough of it.

- ICO & Shadow of the Colossus. Pretty much what everyone else's said about these two gems.

Ah, gee. I dunno. I guess it'd be my copy of FFVII. I still enjoy this game to this very day. I spent weeks playing this game never to get bored of it. I really enjoyed everything about this game.

Bubble Bobble (Spectrum) - Yes i know i can get it for just about any other console now, but it's not the same. I hours of fun on this. I tried playing it the other day, but my spectrum has died since i last used it :(

and if i had it, Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - This game is my favourite Zelda game. Again, hours of fun.

I would not trade any of my games that have the label SquareSoft on it, haha definitely not....I had a copy of Legend of Mana that I would not trade...unfortunately I had to return it because it didn't work and I was not going to keep a copy that didn't work...oh well, better luck next time right?!?!?! I'm about to buy my friends Atari (yea just to say that I have an Atari lol) and I probably won't trade any of the games that come with! lol

I never traded any games, actually, except for SO3 (it sucked), but if I was a regular trader, here is a list of the games that I refuse to part with:

Star Fox - I don't even have a SNES anymore, but I'll never part with it. It's an amazing game, and the best SF game to date.

FFVIII - My favourite RPG, and it has my favourite VG character in it, so nobody lays a hand on it.

Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen series - My first and only import games, they hold a special place in my heart. I have the first 3 games, and it's an fun series and worth a buy for any Naruto fan.

The Sims 2 - The game you either love or hate. I've had such a blast with it that I'd really hate to see it go, especially now that a pets expansion pack has been confirmed. It's a far better game than the first one.

BF2 - Unless I stop getting broadband, I'd never trade what is possibly one of the best muilti-player games ever made.

Yeah. I still remember holding the box for the first time and not being able to open it until Christmas. At least I got a taste of the game early at a friend's house.

Other than the majority of my Super NES collection, I could never, ever part with Guilty Gear X2. I found a copy off eBay last year, and since last March, I've played it on most days at least once. I thought it looked like a fun, interesting game, but I never imagined it'd end up being my favorite game of all-time, nor did I think I'd still be playing it over a year later. Doesn't look like I'm going to stop playing it anytime soon, either.

I would never trade "Every Game in my collection" for the "Every console made" console.

Any and all of my game purchases. Seriously. Though If I had to pick just a few to keep preserved even after my death, it'd have to be:
Megaman X3. Oh sure, not as good as the previous ones, or the latter for that matter. However the rarity alone is incentive, but more than that, is the sentimental value. I truly loved that game, still do; it was one of the most challenging and fun ones I can recall. Plus, my current copy was given to me by someone very close, so there's emotional attachment as well.
I HAD a copy of Phantasy Star 4 for the SEGA Genesis, which I would have kept for the rest of my life, but some fucker stole it. It was one of the first RPGs I've played that had a good story, likeable characters, beautiful in-game graphics (especially for a 16-bit game), and an impressive battle system complete with combo-attacks. God fucking damnit, I miss that game so much...
The Megaman Zero games for GBA. 2 & 4 were hard as hell to find, and 3 was just awesome. 1 wasn't as good, but still did justice to the Megaman franchise. Plus, the ending of Zero 4 actually brought tears to my eyes. Final battle (against an actual human, more or less) with the best battle theme ever and all.

Hmm....One single game? That would be Final Fantasy Tactics. Leave me on an island with a PS1, TV, and lifetime supply of food/water and I'd be good to go. This game is beyond amazing. Though a close second would be my beloved Final Fantasy VI.
