Worst Composited Posters ever!

Hello there!

As it ever happen to you to stumble upon a movie or DVD cover and realize that somethings wrong with it but you just cant quite put youre finger on?

Well, welcome to the thread that will help you and youre loved ones, put a stake in those abominations!

Heres a few recent exemples!

50 Cents - Get Rich or Die Trying:

Now, except for the fact that 50 Cents plays in that movie, Ive been bugged the fuck out of EVERY single time I see that poster. Did you guys notice that the way his right elbow is located and his right hand is situated makes it so his forearm is way too long? Also, the photoshoped gun on his back is just sad.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...tist/Fiddy.jpg

Wesley Snipes - The Detonator (OOooooohhhhhh.)

Either it's someone else holding the gun in front of him or he's got one hell of a long Left arm!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5.../Detonator.jpg

Steven Seagal - Out of Reach

Why is she holding her gun sideways? Is she showing off that piece in her hand?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...OutofReach.jpg

Please! Send some more so we can celebrate mediocrity together!

Arkhangelsk May 16, 2006 03:11 PM

I think all Steven Segal movies have lousy posters/cover designs. Example:

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg http://www.jnpp.ee/dvd/Pildid/DVD%20...0Siege%202.jpg http://www.thezreview.co.uk/posters/...forjustice.jpg

Not that they're phenomenal movies...

SketchTheArtist May 16, 2006 04:21 PM

Wow, Belly of the Beast sucks! Look how he's holding his gun!

Kaleb.G May 16, 2006 04:33 PM

I recall it being against general audience guidelines for a poster to feature a gun pointing towards the viewer.

Really? Hmm.

Dubble May 16, 2006 06:29 PM

Really now, I did not know that.

As far as those posters go they all look pretty low budget and sucky. You'd think that there'd be some kind of quality control somewhere when producing these things cause those monsters do indeed look pretty awful. :P

"The fate of thousands are in their hands," Sketch. He's gotta be able to reach! Also, do you remember when the fate of millions were in Wesley's hands? Pretty soon, it'll be "The fate of this Hot Pocket is in his hands! Watch out, he might get BUUUUUUUUURNED!"

Tsk tsk tsk. How the mighty have fallen.

But seriously, look at his shoulder, it's straight. He could reach it, but he would have to twist his shoulder to do it.

evergreen May 16, 2006 09:44 PM

You know, maybe it's someone else's hand reaching up from the explosion below.

"I'm not done with you yet, SNIIIIIIIIIIIPES!"

That could definitely work!

Goldeneye doesn't seem to follow that, and it was in 1995.

It's kind of weird. Whereas some people feel bad knowing the real name, I feel miserable forgetting. Go ahead, Star Wars fanboys: bash me for my lack of knowledge.

Misogynyst Gynecologist May 16, 2006 11:23 PM

What the hell do you people know about badly composited movie posters?

Wow. That's bad. But that's Amateurish. We're looking for mainstream stuff.

Wall Feces May 16, 2006 11:47 PM

Here's one of my least favorites-

http://img13.exs.cx/img13/3918/first_daughter.jpg

This poster tells us nothing about the movie except that Katie Holmes liked to suck dingleberries but is now being accepted by her peers for some reason.

0 / 10

I like how it talks about fitting in and her white clothes makes her 'fit in' with the background. Like a chameleon.

Tawnee Van Pelt May 17, 2006 12:14 AM

I mean what the fuck!

I would think that the fact that he was topless alone was enough to freak one out; a very analytical way of being fearful.

Also, let's not forget the Matrix Revolutions boxart:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

3 minutes in Photoshop.

Inhert May 19, 2006 01:21 AM

i'm not sure if you accept games cover but this is one of the worst composition!

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

like 3min too in photoshop >.> (if it's not even less)

Dee May 19, 2006 01:29 AM

This could be the worst game cover I've ever seen. Doesn't do justice to the series.

Or this abomidable movie.

I hope you're not making fun of Raul Julia. I will mourn, if so.

Well it was just funny seeing him in that weird pose ontop of some flying thing. I really like Raul, my favorite role of him was in Adams Family.
RIP

Newbie1234 May 19, 2006 07:32 PM

Aww, I always liked that SF poster. It's one of Van Damme's better ones in my opinion.

I saw this poster taking over the side of Los Angeles/Hollywood building when the movie was out. His body looks all kinds of awkward, imo. His neck+head doesn't go with his body. And the kid he's carrying on his back seems to have a photoshopped head, too. The biggest blunder of this poster, however, is the mom's outfit. Someone definitely re-colored her sweater and purse in photoshop from what it really was. No one wears THAT much pink in real life. Not even with orange shoes. C'mon now, let's get real.

I can think of a hundred other movie posters with photoshopped faces/heads in them. They're not too hard to spot, unfortunately.

ava lilly May 22, 2006 10:43 PM

actually I think what's most wrong with that poster is that it looks like a photograph of a bunch of cardboard standups of all the characters. that might explain the uh... weird proportional issues happening.

more likely though, all of the characters were photographed separately and not all at the same angle, so when they're all 'shopped together like that you get some pretty odd discrepancies.
