Well, I wanted to make such a thread too. In about a hour and 15 minutes, which makes 1pm PDT, the show kicks off. Discussion and such could be held here. (Awesome!)
Gamespot is feeding the show, so grab a chair and some popcorns. Hopefully this is gonna be good...

I will laugh if it opens to a CG of master chief blowing up a PS3 shaped object.

Two things; one, show fuckin' Halo 3. If they do, It'll be my fuckin' day again (Yesterday being the day I was accepted at Art School ;-D). Secondly, if they show or tell me that Killer Instinct 1 or 2 (or both) will be available on Xbox Live Arcade or even if they announce Killer Instinct 3, I will get naked and run around the streets.

Hell, I think I'll settle for some kickass Arcade games. After all, that's where Xbox proves that gameplay is as important as graphics...

Also, I hope it's true, the rumor about the fact that MS may announce a legal version of a MAME-kind of emulator on Xbox Live. That would just rule beyond everything.

MS has SO MUCH stuff they could show at the conference, this could be it for MS going into high gear.

The hell? Why were the other conferences free for non-subscribers but not the Microsoft one? That's pretty stupid, do they really expect that people are going to pay $6 to see 1 more conference live when we've already seen 2?

Yeah and even then you'll probably just get a crappy cam version. Seems live streams are not allowed due to copyright regulations from MS.

Anyhow, Microsoft sucks for ruining my E3 evening.

I'm actually VERY GLAD it looks like an RPG and not a first person action game like was rumored. Kinda like KOTOR but in the Shadowrun universe, which IMO, is very cool. I can't say I'm impressed with how it looks though, I really hope they put gameplay footage of it up.

Did I read that right? A constantly updated GTA 4 exclusive to the 360? I'm surprised it isn't going to be ported if that's true. Especially to the PC.

Wow, now THAT is surprising. Looks like MS pulled a rabbit out of their hat this time. Strange as it may sound, this was probably the most unexpected news I've heard from the show yet, just because the chance of it happening seemed so unlikely. That would explain why there was no mention of a GTA game at the Sony conference...

Wow, a version of Xbox live for Vista now too.

12:44: Gates announces new platform--"Live Anywhere." Will be part of Windows Vista--will have one user interface, one identity, one friends list, one message center, one marketplace. Same as Xbox Live 360, same interface, embedded in Windows.

I really have no plans of ever using Vista. But I guess that's one big way to get people to go for it.

Woah, really ambitious with that Live Anywhere stuff.

I personally would not want this crap on my home computer, and would prefer that it stayed on my Xbox alone, but I guess some people might.

Ahh, it seems the "exclusive deal" with GTA4 was to provide the episodic content on Live. I can see how they misinterpreted it.

How could Sony not mention GTA4??

Sony have always had GTA in their games arsenal, i guess it's kinda seen as a given that it's in there. X-Box got it a lot later remember....

Same with Final Fantasy and MGS. It's really strange that they would not have mentionned it at the very least. Why let Microsoft steal all the thunder off of it.

Maybe Microsoft fattened Rockstar's wallets a bit and got exclusive announcement rights, as a sort of "up yours" to Sony. If this is the case, MS probably wouldn't have even bothered had they known what Sony had planned for their conference.

I'm personally more hyped up for Gears of War at the moment. Looks like Halo 3 won't be out for awhile.

I like how Microsoft took XBL down for the "E3: Xbox Live Bringing It Home" and it's still crashing.

But back to the games; I too am looking forward to GoW over Halo 3 (just because I want to see what Cliffy B can do with UE3) but neither of those games is anywhere near Forza 2 on my "list".

Not a bad showing at E3 so far. Not an amazing one either. Nintendo seems to be winning.

But they both destroyed Sony.

But really, a GTA4 tattoo? Why try and make people think it's exclusive. It's not. True, I believe it being out on 360 and PS3 on the same day means it will sell more on 360 (why not buy the cheaper system for GTA, after all?), but come on. The tattoo thing was pathetic.

Well, it's quite a big step having the GTA series, which sells like crazy, not Sony exclusive anymore.
