I read this and I thought it was disgusting. 20 husbands? Was she bored during her life or something? I wonder how long each of those marriages was.

What's the point? She cant be living for much longer. I know the human lifespan has increased a whole lot. But how much further could it go right now?

Well it could be worse. I do recall in Japan the age of consent being 13, so a 80 year old man could pound a 13 year old girl.
I just wonder what drew the man to a woman older than his great grandparents. Of course some men do have a taste for older women, usually not this old of course.

From what the article says, it sounded like he was marrying her b/c of how wise and caring she was rather than how good she was in bed. I don't know a lot about Malaysia's culture, but I do know that there are Asians countries where the elderly are respected and cherished for their knowledge (unlike in America where they are thrown to the curb once they are gray and wrinkly).

I know some Asians have been noted to live up to 116 years old.

A coworker of mine had a grandmother live until 118 and was only had any serious issues until the last 6 months of her life.

It was odd to read about the marriage in general, but I was surprised about the woman's previous 20 husbands.

It's hilarious how this is the state of every news and radio media outlet in America, I've already heard this story 7 times today. All the immigrants who protested and boycotted yesterday must be pissed that some crotchety old woman from Malyasia stole their thunder. We didn't even talk of the economic impact the marches had!

And the guy sounds damaged. He probably married her because he has some desperate need for a maternal figure in his life.

I seem to remember something like this being done in Italy, but it was more so he could take care of her easily. I didn't really understand it as I don't know why they had to get married for him to care for her in her old age, but that was the reasoning behind it.
