Click the Gunbound link, not the retarded "You can not (sic!) run away from extreme strike sensation" bullshit! Download the client (only a few dozen MB), register an account and play! It's really fun. If you don't end up in a room with a couple of retarded chinaboi who don't really know that there's a language called "English", that is.

Listen, I am tremendously interested in playing with more or less non-retarded people, so I thought maybe some of you would like to play this game every now and then.

I disliked the revamping that GB went through when World Champion was released. Has it been changed again or it's just an event?

I dunno dude, I don't think that much changed, except for some new stupid maps which must have been designed by some basement workers which seem to work on $1/day basis and two even more stupid mobiles (a tractor and a frog!!)

Well when I started playing it again last week I was like whoamg I still have my items, nobody hacked my account O_o, so that's all pretty nifty. We usually play on avatar-off servers anyway.

I love my wizard-pirate combo so I always play on avatars off servers. Those are win.

Zomfg, Gunbound? Soft lost so many players. I hate GB now since it is annoying seeing your rank go up and down, and trying to go back to Ruby Staff again is just retarded -.-

I hate it so much because of the rent system, sudden wind change, noobs who can't aim fro crap and dmgs you. So many annoying crap, including "delay", and there used to be bugged SS for Nak. Man, is it any better ? I perfer fortress VS Gunbound IF i had to play a game like that.

There's a private server floating around somewhere, and it's not World Champion. I don't know if registrations are open, but I believe some of the old 404 players are on it (Sol!).

Boomer shots? Not that difficult unless the wind is pushing in the wrong direction. If it was a heavy shell type then you're just plain SOL on that, might as well hurt yourself some and punch yourself some room.

It was a nak #1 bullet, usulaly I can fire backwards when it's like you know 20 wind to the left and up and the ass of the mobile is aimmed the other way.

Yeah, I made a DK cause of Ape helped me and I used a grub SS cause of it. He had cakebot or whatever and pulled them.

Is there anyway to change the screen resolution for this game? There's a huge black bar that run the right side of my screen and now whenever I open a program up, it opens up in the upper left corner of my monitor and I have to drag it out from there.

I don't think so and I wish they had made a US server only. Like block out everyone but Canada, US and Europe. :X

I downloaded this and played yesterday. I'm surprised, they've really fixed WC up quite a bit. It's less buggy than the original, tons of new maps, and I saw no jajaja people.

The only thing that bugs me is the flooding of Aduka games with teams stacked to hell. Four dragons against silver hammers? :/

I hate that pipe one where it's just in the center and the pipes zig zag. The only time I like it is when I'm near the bottom cause of the fact that I play turtle/nak it's hard if your on top.

OMG!! Now I remember the day when I swore that I would never ever skype when I'm drunk anymore.

For those of you who preferred the original GB over the craptacular WC, you could give "silent gunbound" a shot. It's basically a private server trying (fairly successfully) to backwards engineer GB. It runs basically the same as the old game does. There aren't as many people on it, but get a couple of friends online and it's a good time.

Ape and I occasionally still play on it, but it's finals week so I probably won't be on Gunbound at all until the 13th.

Awesome! I just registered on Silent GB and I'm waiting for the download to finish. I'm Luxo in that server. It does look promising.

We can always make a IRC channel to organize games between us in the server.

I'm fairly certain you can play on both simultaneously, but I don't play on WC, so I'm not 100% sure. I think it's been mentioned that you can though.

You can play WC and silent together they are seperate clients as long as you don't install them into hte same directory.

EDIT: I would play silent GB more but due to either lack of games or people not speaking english. It's so hard to play, but I love how I can make any avatar I want.

It's not my fault I can aim high angle with it and or SG someone.

I know I shouldn't SG but hey when it's a shield mobile is right next to you and you can't move, why not deal the 800 or so damage to it.

I thought of a way to let everyone know when will someone be playing, it would be to let everybody get halfops upon entering to be able to set the channel title to something like "Play with xxxx at xxxx hour Saturday!" or something. You can also leave a message, but we'd need someone who will be on all the time so they can filter all the dates/hours and announce it. Tell me your ideas :o

I came to the conclusion that I suck ass at the game now.

Arc, I know the feeling but some reason after taking a break I can fire at high angle betters for turtle and as well Nak but I do much better with the turtle not only cause of the high armor but high damage from either high angle or SGing.

I feel like buying power user for a month or something so my room is on top so we can play. Impossible to make a room and as well impossible to get three people on the same side. :X

I felt I was really sucking when I first came back to it, but after a few games I found myself getting the hang of it again; getting those long range shots on the first try, accurately dealing with wind, etc. I still don't know the strengths/weaknesses/tricks of all the mobiles and various other scientific game mechanics, but I'm getting used to the game again.

Also, what is Silent Gunbound compared to World Champion.

Silent Gunbound is nice but I prefer playing WC because I kinda got used to it and because well there are more people playing on it.

Eleo, Silent Gunbound is like the original Gunbound; it's a private server.

The problem I have is that power is actually a bit different in WC, and it basically fucks my shot up completely. That and damage is ridiculous, the two new mobiles suck, and other problems. But yea, Silent Gunbound doesn't have as many people on it.

Yes, the two new mobiles are not tremendously awesome. I can agree with that. The new maps suck as well.

The new maps suck but I noticed some Kal bot users(The one that looks like the missle mobile) is actually good when someone uses it right. I mean the SS is very powerful and so is the other things maybe it's just me but I haven't used it before.

Second, basically all I know is that turtle wtfpwns mobiles with shields and naks wtfpwn the armor ones I think.

I still love how I keep getting this random error from my windows saying this,

"bFF6:958a3670" and it involves my explorer for windows(You know the item that runs windows or whatever?).

And this has been happening a lot recently for NO REASON and it happens at random. I get dced and this happens, and I get dced cause I think someone is fucking with me or overloading my comp when I play gunbound so I lag out.

I don't know, I'm just confused. I uninstalled and reinstall it and it's still there.

Just wondering...would anybody know how to play this via LAN? The reason is because when I try playing other people on the same network/router it causes to glitch and we can't play in the creative server we had...it also make it lag when we join other people's server when we die...anybody can help out with this problem? You can't play it via lan without somehow hosting your own server and other mess. In other words, not really worth it.

Do enough people from GFF actually play WC to give me a reason to install that devil game again on my computer? Silent Gunbound is nice, but I swear I'm the only english speaker that plays on it. I might just wait for the North American servers to come out, as that will hopefully reduce the amount of non-english speakers, but knowing the Softnyx idea of time, there's no telling when that'll actually happen.

I would play a lot more if well this fucking game wouldn't stop crasing no matter what and etc. It like lags out and then says everything like exploerer and shit has faulted/errored itself.

Yeah ava off = no point to avatar but for look.

Random interruption from out of nowhere, but, didn't Ape quit playing and pass on leadership to some one else? I thought I remembered him stating that he quit because everyone was an ass hat to him because he was a high rank and when ever he missed a shot they'd go nuts on him.

Anyways, I actually was one of the few (I'm assuming) that never quit playing. Never really mastered a bot, although I'm coming along well with Trico. My alias on WC is Kawaiibox and I have a guild (~W00f~) with just one other person in it so if anyone else wants to join, I'd be happy to let you in. Just mention that your from GFF so that I can just add you without worry. And I've never really had any crashing or lagging with WC in reply to some other the other posts I've read.

I really hope this doesn't die again on GFF. It's still a good game and I never got to play with Ape or Rose (if he? is still around) or any other of the people here.

I would play more but I can't. People think I talk a lot and then when I miss they taunt me cause I made a simple mistake cause I really have mastered the turtle bot quite well. Either in SGing or high angle, espeically high angle. Heh I killed a shield bot shooting backwards cause the wind was to my back and I could shoot straight up 90.

Why don't you guys just mute those people. I muted Aperama and especially falkon2 ("you don't deserve battle axe") quite often back then.

Cause I'm too lazy to Mush and even if I do, 20 more spawn up. All I have is a double metal but even then. I do very well and then I miss one shot and they go jajajaj turtle pro not so pro and it just boils my blood even after I kill them + mute them.

I don't even mute those guys, I just ignore them. Its the people who make fun of others because of thier playing that I hate the most. Otherwise I really don't care what you say. And I really don't encounter much of those guys any more even though I miss a lot. It seems that everyone I play with today is silent or doesn't speak english.

Well, fortunately most people don't speak English anymore anyway, so all you actually gonna hear will be stuff like "za re me go de ra lah" or stuff like that. "jajajajaja" means that they're laughing at you. You could also put some sticker at the left upper top of the screen so that you won't see chat anymore.

Well, I finally ran into a little SOB today while I was playing and I think I was still pretty lucky that I actually had some good people playing with me. Some idiot in a 2v2 game on my team finally decided to 'damnit can't you do anything right?' after repeatedly missing shots on my part. Whoo boy was I in for a surprise. Right after the game they booted his ass so fast I swear they had it on clipboard before. They actually said they were part of a 'clean-up' crew on GB, trying to report people who use fowl language and otherwise ruin the game for others. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that I really think GB has gotten better over the past year. I even see less jajaja out there now a days and the im board in the lobby isn't really filled with spam anymore. I really wish Ape and rose and others would have given it another chance instead of quitting so soon. we really need more GFFers playing to gether because playing with strangers gets a little boring at times. If that didn't sound too wierd. <.<

All the avatars are free in SGB, so there's no real need to worry about that. The NAGB ones aren't, though, so you'd lose everything if you're not from the states.

You also can't say ho, or anything that includes it. Might want to cut these words out of your Gunbound vocabulary: shoot, shot, hot, horrible, hope.

I personally get really fucking frustrated when this game tells my my sentance is inappropriate. I'm never a big fan of censors in games because it's more annoying when they're circumvented than if someone just uses the word. Who here would rather have someone say "fuk u, u suk a$$"? I was hoping GBNA would reflect a tiny bit the freedom of speech we have in North America. Maybe they could have made the censor a personal option, but they way they implement it is god awful.

I was starting to enjoy the new Gunbound with the world tourney servers... But with this new NA-only thing, and the incredibly stupid web-launcher that ONLY works through Internet Explorer (I use Firefox by default), it's just too much of a pain in the ass for me to play regularily anymore. A pity too, because I was having fun with the new frog bot.

Well I played a couple of games, and other than the weblauncher, it doesn't seem any worse than the GBWC. As long as you choose maps (I cycle through the ones that don't suck), you can avoid the terrible B sides from WC and the filter was far less restrictive than I imagined. I should actually be playing from time to time now so send me a buddy invite so we can get some old school GFF games goin.

With all the filters it sounds like they prefer to have us ruin the english language. If everyone is going to play on it though I guess I'll just have to deal with it and play too.

We can always use voice chat or something anyway.

It's funny cause now they block some filter circumventions as well. You have to wonder if they realize what an incredibly slippery slope they're on right now.

The problem isn't the filter, but rather how it's implemented. All they need to do is make it optional and only censor words, not entire phrases. There's nothing more annoying than typing repetition or circumvention in a phrase and having it blocked because it contains tit and cum. I played on them for a bit and I prefer them the the GB servers. However, no one else playing on them speaks english, which almost everyone on GBNA does. Not sure if the tradeoff's worth it, but all you can really do is 1v1 on the private server.

Well, the idea here was to set a date/time for the gunbound players here to do some awesome-filled battles. I am aware of SGB's limitations when playing alone, but if we meet there as a group, we could have lots of fun.

I'd rather play with servers being full then the private servers...

Well, I'm redownloading this. I believe my username is SkyDragon. Before my laptop fucked up (like a month ago) I was playing almost everyday. Whatever happened to Ape ;_;

Sometimes, I get an error saying "could not retrieve necessary game information". That sucks and should be solved asap.

I get disconnected like every 4~6 games or so.

It takes you to said fantastic homepage. You click the PLAY LIVE (sic!) button. It says you need IE. I don't have fukken internet explorer. I need to install it. I am like "okay IT SHOULD WORK NOW". I played with my friend for like 5 hours today. It's not so bad. The interface sucks, yeah, but I got used to it.

Amazingly, I'm saving gold. As opposed to buying items and then reselling them once I decided I wanted something new. 200k and counting :rock:

Okay cool, now I always get some "unregistered ID" error. Either it's totally fucked up now and I have to wait for a new update or something like that or they just don't want any European players anymore :mad:

Totally fucked up, it is doing that for me too. When I logged in and clicked Play Live, I saw this box that said "UPDATE PERFORMED DO THAT AGAIN" and when I clicked on it again, it said Unregistered ID. What the fuck are these morons doing.

You could try making a new id and seeing if it works with that one.

I will be making a guild of some sort when they become available (21st) and need to toss around some name ideas. The guild will not be GFF only (not sure if any of you want to join it anyway), but will be limited to people who I don't hate. A couple of ideas are "Surious" and reviving "usk" (not really sure about that one), but guild names are tricky things, so feel free to toss me some ideas.

I have a friend who had the same problem. He sent a 'bug report' to them but all he got back was a standard 'we are currently trying to help you with your problem as fast as we can.' I think it was because you had more than 20k so when you got the bonus gold for playing five games, the stupid game reset it back to 20k. They seriously need a better QA team.

As for the guild thing, what about just plain ol' 'GFF'? Unless you want a serious guild (i.e., a respected guild) name, I'm no help there. My own guild was called ~W00f~ before it got deleted by the move.

I had more than 20k gold when I got my bonus, and mine got added just fine.

Granted, I had literally 20,100, so maybe it's a problem with 6-digit gold amounts.

As I said before, I'm not making a GFF guild, although it's certainly open to everyone here. I'm now thinking about using "Wut" as the name.

Gave up on Ijji today, the NA servers are shit. They go down for hours and hours without any explanation why, they add a bunch of shit that no one cares about without fixing a single problem in the game, and the user base is getting worse and worse.

I found my old password for Softnyx, so I guess I'll check that out. Sounds like WC is a lot more stable than Revolution.

I can't even run Revolution and if I have to lie about my location and start over on my avatar I will but WC is better.

You can't just lie about your location, if you try to register, they run an IP location check. The only way I got on was from having an old account from when Softnyx was worldwide (can't believe they didn't wipe, but oh well).

I think a few of you may remember playing with me a while back when Gunbound was MY ADDICTION! I had a brief moment of introspection and quit cold turkey 3 years ago. I was quite proud of myself, but now after trying my hands at Worms a while ago I decided to consider revisiting this. I doubt it'll have the same hold on me this time around however.
