Western Animation Whoopla!

So yeah this is short notice but I'm feeling like watching some good ol' western cartoons be they tv or movie and I'm gonna do this thang on Wednesdays cuz I like the name Western Animation Wednesdays and it fits well enough. Blah blah blah I'll be showing a movie or a few episodes of something on Wednesdays from 8 PM to 10 PM just in time to finish before nutty's radio show.

So yah talk about things you'd like to see, things we be watching, and get ready for some cawwtooons.

WE WATCHING HERCULES TONIGHT. CUZ I CAN GO THE DISTANCE.

GET IN THIS PAGE TO WATCH AT 8 PM:
DA SSTRRREAAAAM

I'll probably do archives of this stuff too.

Additional Spam:
Alright I'm starting this very shortly. I hope someone joins me. =U

FatsDomino Sep 22, 2010 10:24 PM

If anyone wants to watch Hercules it's in the archives now if you missed the broadcast. =)

Angel of Light Sep 22, 2010 11:31 PM

I strongly recommend. This is an awesome idea Acer.

I'm kind of disappointed, when I heard you mention Hercules. I thought you were going to refer to this really bland cartoon I use to watch as a kid.

Went onto the stream right now, no one on there. Am I early or late? Time Zones are the bane of my existence at times

The Plane Is A Tiger Sep 22, 2010 11:46 PM

Late.

I might pop in for a pre-radio show stream sometime; depends on what's being shown that week. I didn't see this until after it was long over, but I was never a fan of Hercules anyway.

Dark Nation Sep 22, 2010 11:55 PM

Dang, oh well. Always next week I guess!

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Sep 24, 2010 08:45 AM

If you want to show some good western animation, Mysterious Cities of Gold or Ulysses31 is about as good as it gets, plus both have awesome theme tunes.

Also, Bananaman and Rubarb & Custard.

FatsDomino Sep 24, 2010 09:53 AM

Shin, I actually do have Mysterious Cities of Gold somewhere but to be honest the only thing western about that show is that it's primarily found with an English dub. Otherwise dats some anime, bro.

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl...anime&aid=1006

But then again what 80s animation wasn't farmed out east?

However, I'm a little reluctant to show any long tv shows and would rather showcase a movie instead as I'm only doing this once a week as opposed to how I run the anime club here.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Sep 24, 2010 01:05 PM

It was commissioned, written, produced and paid for in France, all the Japs did was draw a bit of it. The original recording language was French too if memory serves. It's only anime if you consider Dogtanian or Belle and Sebastian as anime, I'm pretty sure French counts as Western.

Anyway, I was merely trying to suggest stuff that wasn't Disney, since most of the best Western animation isn't. You really should look up Bananaman, it's amazing. That or Dangermouse...

FatsDomino Sep 24, 2010 01:18 PM

Well the more you know I guess.

Anyway unless i change this from being a Wednesday thing to also a weekend event for some series I just don't see the two hour window on Wednesdays I've created for myself to be a very good fit for anything but a movie (I can show non-Disney movies too, yeesh) or a short series.

Tails Sep 24, 2010 02:47 PM

Call me when you're showing SWAT KATS.

Well I for one, definitely support the idea Acer. I'm bag fan of the cartoon series of the 80's and 90's. I also loved a lot of the animated movies during that time frame as well.

I personally would love to see some 80's or 90's animated series showcased on this. I think one of the best things about most cartoons especially from the 80's and 90's were a lot of them had self contained episodes. You really didn't have to watch the rest of the series to know whats going on. The intro pretty much took care of who the bad guys and good guys were. It is always based pretty much a battle between good and evil.

I wouldn't see any problems if you could show two episodes of a random western animated series and show a movie after-wards. Hell, I would stay for the entire thing.

Honestly Acer, I'm just throwing a friendly suggestion out there. I know this is your baby and I don't want to make any more work on your part, but I absolutely loved almost all cartoons and animated movies in the 1980's and 1990's. I will fully support this and you will see me there every week. I just wanted to give a few suggestions if your looking for some western animated movies to show in the next couple of months.

The Secret of Nimh
An American Tail
Ducktales: The Movie
Babar: The Movie
The Jetsons Movie
The Prince of Egypt
Batman Beyond: The Return of the Joker
Watership Down
Reboot Movies (Damon Rising or My Two Bobs)
The Transformers Movie

Also if you can find this my friend, I will commend you ten fold. Its a cheesy direct to video animated movie, but I remember enjoying it as a kid a lot.

YouTube Video

Acer, if you did want to go the route of showing a few episodes of a different western animated series, I would love to see random episodes of:

Exo-Squad
Botsmaster
M.A.S.K.
COPS
Dungeons and Dragons
Centurions
Dino-riders

I hope it continues to be a success Acer.

RacinReaver Sep 24, 2010 03:53 PM

Can we just watch the Chipmunks Adventure every week. I'll get drunk and sing along to all the songs like last time.

FatsDomino Sep 24, 2010 04:15 PM

Aw jeez, well I suppose I could start the show a little earlier and maybe do 2 or 3 episodes from an animated show or two and then a movie. A mini drink-on if you will. You are right about most of those old shows being episodic in nature so picking 3 random episodes would work although I suppose seeing the first episode is a good idea.

Anyway I'll have to think about it.

Misogynyst Gynecologist Sep 24, 2010 06:41 PM

Oh man - what about that bizzare Pinnochio sequel from the 80s - Pinocchio & the Emperor of the Night

YouTube Video

Angel of Light Sep 24, 2010 06:54 PM

I would think it would count LeHah, since a lot of cartoons in the 80's and 90's were animated in Japan and Korea. The best example I can think of is Gargoyles. Gargoyles was an awesome western cartoon, but it was animated in Korea or it could be Japan as far as I know.

Edit: Nevermind, you changed your initial post.

They use to show this Pinocchio Cartoon on YTV (Canadian equivalent of the cartoon network in the US) back in the early 1990's, but its not a western cartoon. Its obviously anime.

YouTube Video

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Sep 25, 2010 07:18 AM

Transformers the Movie is an awesome choice. There are a lot of cartoons with short episode too, a lot of old British ones ran to just ten minute episodes. Bod, Mr Benn, King Rolo, Trapdoor all had ten minute or so episodes and were all great.

FatsDomino Sep 25, 2010 09:18 PM

Where were you guys during the last drink-on? I showed both G.I. Joe the Movie and Transformers the Movie as my secret third act - a double feature.

FatsDomino Sep 29, 2010 02:54 PM

Alright as it has been requested that I play various episodes of various animated shows we will be starting the program earlier at around 7:20 PM EST.

After those shows have played you'll be in for an animation treat more than 30 years in the making so be sure to tune in for The Thief and the Cobbler.

For another in this category, Oban Star-Racers is awesome.

DangerMouse is also classic, I watched taped episodes a lot. =)

FatsDomino Sep 29, 2010 06:46 PM

Oban is great. I pretty much consider it anime though.

Anyway we've started the show. Please join in the fun. =)

FatsDomino Oct 5, 2010 10:26 PM

Alright last week we showed an episode of The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin, an episode of The Magic School Bus, an episode Freakazoid, and The Thief and the Cobbler.

This week I want to try something a bit different. Instead of going to great nostalgic shows I'd like to show off some shows hot off the press. I've been impressed with Cartoon Network as of late so instead of a few shows and a movie I'm gonna just spend two and a half hours (starting early again at 7:20ish EST) showing newcomer shows Regular Show and Sym-Bionic Titan and also the latest episodes of The Venture Bros.

Does that sound like a good plan? =o

The Plane Is A Tiger Oct 5, 2010 11:23 PM

I completely forgot about Sym-Bionic Titan after the first episode. What are they up to now?

FatsDomino Oct 5, 2010 11:32 PM

Three episodes so far. New episodes on Fridays at 8PM EST. So yeah episode four will air this Friday.

FatsDomino Oct 6, 2010 06:58 PM

Alright I'm gonna catch a quick bite to eat and when I'm back I'll start the show. So probably in 20 minutes. Hope to see you there.

Alright I'm ready to start. Seems like chat is pretty empty though. Where is everyone? =I

FatsDomino Oct 8, 2010 04:13 PM

Just wanted to note that this Wednesday's show is now available in the archive.

Also, I'm thinking about showing Archer for the next two weeks if there aren't any objections.

Actually I've thought of something that might be fun. WAW stands for Western Animation Wednesdays. Well I suppose it could also stand for Western Animation Weekends too. Would anyone object to me just doing marathons on the weekends? Keep in mind I say Friday night to Sunday night is the weekend so it could fall on any one of those days. That might be good for a ten episode series like Archer. Do it all in one go. Is this a better idea?

Well I don't necessarily have any objections. You've been on the mark with the last couple of cartoons you have shown especially last Wednesday. I kind of lost hope for cartoons nowadays, but those two series you showed during the last little marathon was a good pleasant change. I would have no problems if you wanted to hold it over the weekends. I would probably only be able to make it, to once out of every two weekends only because of the long hours at my job.

I would love to see more 80's stuff Acer, but you've been on the ball for this event anyway. So for the most part everything you've shown has been pure gold. I'm actually noticing more people attending this than the anime showings.

Shorty Oct 8, 2010 07:34 PM

Hey Acer, what's the link for the Western Animation Archives? Is it separate from the Anime one?

FatsDomino Oct 8, 2010 07:40 PM

Yes, it's a separate archive. Thought I put a link to it in the opening post but I guess I forgot. In any case there's a link to it on the stream page in the same area as the anime club stream page.

WAW Archives

Angel, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm not sure if I'd make weekends a regular thing like I do for anime club but for when I feel like it. This weekend is a three day weekend for me (Columbus Day on Monday) so I'm certainly able to stay up late and get sleep later.

FatsDomino Oct 10, 2010 12:05 PM

I have been given the blessing to have WAW to include weekends should I feel like it. I will be marathoning all 10 episodes of Archer for a little over 3 hours today. It should happen shortly. I'll give notice when I am about to start.

No. Hard Pass. Oct 10, 2010 12:07 PM

I am giving notice that you are entering the DANGERZONE.

FatsDomino Oct 10, 2010 12:31 PM

Alright I'll be starting now. This is one of Deni's favorites. I hope you can join us. =)

FatsDomino Oct 13, 2010 06:27 PM

Hunchback tonight! Hope to see you at around 8. Gotta scoot!

Shorty Oct 16, 2010 12:14 PM

I forget what you played after Hunchback of Notre Dame but I remember I loved it. <3 Will eagerly wait for the archives.

FatsDomino Oct 20, 2010 02:31 PM

Oh dang I keep forgetting about the archives. I'll have to get around to doing last week's again.

Tonight we dine on the years 1987 and 1988. Hope you enjoy your soup. Or would you prefer the dip?

FatsDomino Oct 20, 2010 07:16 PM

Alright I'm ready to start. See ya in the stream. =)

FatsDomino Oct 27, 2010 06:10 PM

Tonight I'll be showing off another new show on cartoon network that is very appropriate for Halloween. Hope to see ya in the stream. =)

FatsDomino Nov 2, 2010 08:18 AM

Oh WAW I haven't forgotten you. I have neglected your archives though so I'll try to work on getting them up to date. Let's see I'm missing broadcasts 4, 5, 6, and 7. I believe two of them need rebroadcasting... hmmm... hunchback & cwacom and maybe scoobydoo marathon.

Shorty Nov 3, 2010 01:34 AM

Will there be Ratatouie this Wednesday? =D

FatsDomino Nov 3, 2010 06:35 AM

Haha I was actually planning on something something when I remembered that you wanted Ratatouille. I'll have to go nab that and something fitting to go with it.

Also I just need to rebroadcast Scooby-Doo and time the new archive additions and I'll be up-to-date.

Additional Spam:
Oh that's right. Brad Bird also made a very very good animated movie before going to Pixar to work on The Incredibles and Ratatouille. I've found my movie.

FatsDomino Nov 3, 2010 06:35 PM

Should be starting the show in 30 min or an hour depending on traffic. Hope to see you there. =)

FatsDomino Nov 4, 2010 01:57 PM

I now have the waw archives up to date except number seven. I still need to rebroadcast that.

FatsDomino Nov 10, 2010 07:56 PM

Gonna feature two films by Chris Sanders tonight~

Lilo & Stitch and then How To Train Your Dragon

Hopping on the road and then I'll start when I get in so hopefully 30 minutes from now. See ya then~

FatsDomino Nov 17, 2010 05:16 PM

Inanimate objects and robots are adorable! Tonight it's time for for bravery and love as we watch The Brave Little Toaster and WALL-E.

RacinReaver Nov 17, 2010 06:24 PM

Man, I'd totally be down for Toaster Jesus if not for this homework I need to finish grading by the end of the week. :(

FatsDomino Nov 17, 2010 08:04 PM

Alright I'll be starting the show in like 30 min to an hour from now. VROOM VROOOM

FatsDomino Nov 24, 2010 06:25 PM

In celebration of Thanksgiving tonight we'll be watching Pocahontas and The Emperor's New Groove! See ya in a few hours. =)

FatsDomino Dec 1, 2010 04:40 PM

In celebration of the life of Leslie Nielsen we will be playing The Nutcracker and the Mouseking. He provided the voice for the Mouseking. This movie will probably be terrible but it's one of the few animated movies Leslie was a part of. That said the last movie he will be part of is The Waterman Movie if it is ever completed which is animated. The main character who he plays is a dashing older gentleman with white hair much like himself. It would have been nice to have that on hand as well but instead I will pair TNATR with another movie starring a dead comedian: Rover Dangerfield. Look at this as an early celebration for this weekend's Leslie Nielsen Drink-On Extravaganza! Hope to see you guys tonight.

Please take note that I've switched to justin.tv for higher quality broadcasting now so you'll need to press the play button once you've loaded the stream page (those of you that attended anime club last night already know this).

Oh! While typing this I found a silly animated superhero tv show called Zeroman with Leslie Nielsen as the star! Supposedly it's like Venture Bros or something. I dunno looks more like Canada's version of Freakazoid on first glance. I'll throw it in the mix and we can find out if it's any good.

Hey acer, if you do look for specific zeroman episodes, try to find an episode in which Don Cherry and Ron Maclean of Hockey Night in Canada fame is included with that episode.

They're called Don & Ron in the series.

FatsDomino Dec 1, 2010 09:17 PM

We've started the show - just in case you're wandering these forums.

Angel, I was only able to find episodes 1-3 and 7-9. I looked up and down everywhere for them.

Talec Dec 4, 2010 08:05 AM

And now we know why it was so hard to find! :tpg:

Chemical_Bastard from #pokegoons asked me to convey his request for Earthworm Jim, so I'm gonna leave that here. :3

FatsDomino Dec 4, 2010 06:33 PM

I do believe I have Earthworm Jim somewhere. I'll have to think of something for next week. Maybe I can worm it in there. =)

FatsDomino Dec 8, 2010 07:41 PM

Hmmm... I was thinking of doing Cats Don't Dance today but it's gonna take like a week to get the widescreen version that was only released in Europe so I'm gonna show The Road to El Dorado and Atlantis: The Lost Empire instead.

Probably see you guys in like an hour or so. Traffic can bite me.

FatsDomino Dec 15, 2010 07:15 PM

I'm going to be trekking home now. I'll be trying to start on time at around 8 PM. There is no realistic way that I can keep this show under 2 hours. If you're a regular on nutty's radio show please make the transition at 10 PM to tune into his show. If you're able to you can always watch the waw stream in the background while chit-chattin with whatever fun topics nutty has scrounged up for this week (I've done this before). I've been starting this show (all my shows really) much later than I should and it's quite possible that my starting super late took away folks from his radio show when I've stated from the beginning that I've never wanted that to happen. The least I can do is give a proper shout out for when his radio talk show is about to start.

Gamingforce Talk Radio

As a new feature for all my streams I have started a twitter account which you can follow for broadcast announcements. This is for all the people who find twitter updates the most convenient way of getting up to date news. However due to the nature of my streams I am making it private so you will need to have a twitter account and send me a follow request in order to see any updates.

Twitter

Honestly the real reason I want to do this is because I'd like to know who truly wants to be spammed for alerts. I send out spammy IMs before each stream to people I think might be interested but I'd really like people to let me know if they do or do not want me to do that. I know how annoying this might be if you do not wish for my WAW TIME GET IN THE STREAM URL URL GET IN HERE NOW instant messages.

So yeah, if you are a GFF Talk Radio regular please don't leave nutty hanging like last week (his show starts at 10 PM) and also new this week is twitter announcements for my streams (this will include ALL of my streams - mind you).

OH RIGHT Cat's Don't Dance and A Goofy Movie featured tonight. Also, a fun surprise at the beginning and end of the broadcast~

Additional Spam:
We have started~

FatsDomino Dec 22, 2010 04:45 PM

Alright gonna prep you guys. Tonight is Christmas Special Extravaganza. I have a ridiculous amount of Christmas movies I can pull from and quite honestly we could do this until like 2 AM if we wanted but good lord why would you want to watch THAT MUCH?

Anyway I'm gonna bite the bullet and set precedent for muppets at WAW tonight. Quite honestly puppetry and animation do often go hand in hand and have a lot in common so why the hell not?

Key features include A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Muppet Christmas Carol, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, and much much more! Grab some candy canes and get sick to your stomach because tonight's WAW is going to be disgustingly saccharine.

The Plane Is A Tiger Dec 22, 2010 05:01 PM

I may have to tune in for the Muppet Christmas Carol. It's been far too long since I've seen that.

Dark Nation Dec 22, 2010 07:19 PM

I just got back home in time to participate, perfect timing! :D

FatsDomino Dec 22, 2010 07:47 PM

Alright I've been working on making the page a jovial nightmare. Feel free to enjoy the splendor of javascript snowflakes or if you or your browser cannot handle the seasonal delight of winter then click on the link at the bottom for the non-snow version.

In the meantime I have to get my ass on the road. See you guys in 45 min to an hour. Idle in chat or something. This is gonna be a long night of merriment.

FatsDomino Dec 23, 2010 05:03 AM

7 hours. By god. We made it. We made it happen. ^5 to those who stuck around. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves. =)

Dark Nation Dec 23, 2010 05:14 AM

It was quite a treat, thanks for the show~

FatsDomino Dec 28, 2010 01:13 PM

I think last week was quite a success. Exhausting but successful. I'm not quite decided on what I want to show tomorrow. We can do something I've had queued up for a while which can include more EWJ and MLP:FiM (fuck yeah more bronies) or we can end the year with that Toy Story marathon I've been talking about for a while which would have Star Command episodes before, after, and between the three movies. Please let me know what you'd like.

In the meantime over at the anime club tonight we'll be starting Panty & Stocking which recently finished airing. The show has a western leaning both in its design and humor which is why I mention it here. If you like sex jokes and violence (and gainax trolling) then you're in for a treat.

FatsDomino Dec 29, 2010 08:36 PM

ChocoDecide has told me we are having a Toy Story marathon tonight. It'll be a long one. Should be starting in a couple minutes. Hope to see you guys there. =)

FatsDomino Jan 5, 2011 09:47 PM

No WAW tonight. Sorry about that but I have important things to take care of.

also more bronies and brobotomy =)

FatsDomino Feb 10, 2011 12:55 AM

Forgot to make a post. We watched Fantastic Mr. Fox and Les Triplettes de Belleville which were both amazing. We still have robotomy and bronies coming up next if you still want to tune in.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 10, 2011 03:51 AM

Fantastic Mr Fox must be the worst mangling of an awesome Roald Dahl book yet, I really disliked that movie.

FatsDomino Feb 10, 2011 08:37 AM

If you look at it strictly from a movie perspective it was fine. It was enjoyable to me.

FatsDomino Feb 16, 2011 08:40 PM

Tonight begins our journey into the world of Don Bluth. We'll first be watching The Black Cauldron followed by The Secret of NIMH. See ya in 10 to 15 minutes.

FatsDomino Feb 22, 2011 05:49 PM

I am very busy this week. I do not believe it wise to do the show. Hopefully next week will be better. Sorry. :(

FatsDomino Mar 2, 2011 06:00 PM

Nope. This week isn't much better and I have no time for 5 hour WAW sessions. Sorry. :(

packrat Mar 2, 2011 06:03 PM

Aww. Best of luck in your class.
In the meantime, everyone can go here to get their Brony fix.

FatsDomino Mar 8, 2011 07:25 PM

I do believe that this week I should be able to do WAW. I think I've decided our Don Bluth movie will be The Land Before Time. I'm not sure what our second movie should be though. Any suggestions?

Zergrinch Mar 8, 2011 08:01 PM

Maybe something released in the same year!

FatsDomino Mar 8, 2011 08:22 PM

I couldn't really think of another non-Don Bluth movie to show tonight so I figure oh hell let's have both American Tail movies in one go. Show will start in a couple minutes.

FatsDomino Mar 17, 2011 04:26 PM

Shorty asked about the archives last night. I've recently come across a method that allows me to make archived broadcasts again, so with that said last night's show is available in the archives.

I have a ton of older broadcasts that I still need to do though. All in due to time. Point is I'll try to archive future WAW broadcasts.

FatsDomino Mar 23, 2011 07:45 PM

All right gonna be starting the show shortly. The Illusionist and All Dogs Go to Heaven tonight~

FatsDomino Mar 30, 2011 07:57 PM

Sorry for the late start. I'll be starting in about 10 minutes. Secret of the Kells and Ferngully tonight. =)

Dark Nation Mar 31, 2011 02:03 AM

Just wanted to say, I thought Kells was brilliant. Thanks for showing it tonight.

FatsDomino Mar 31, 2011 04:33 AM

Haha no problem. I should have it in the archives eventually, just too tired to work on it right now. Man, I really should be asleep.

FatsDomino Apr 1, 2011 03:30 PM

We'll be having a very special WAW marathon tonight in celebration of our April Fool's Day. Over 7 hours of ponies - all 21 episodes. We should start at around 8 to 9 pm EST and finish somewhere between 3 to 4 AM EST. Hope to see you guys there! :3:

FatsDomino Apr 2, 2011 04:06 AM

Just finished the marathon a bit ago. 10 people at the end. I think we had like 15 or so at our peak. I'm really proud and super happy that you all made it through to the end. I hope you enjoyed the show. I'll certainly be continuing to show it in WAW when it's available now that we're caught up to the current episode. I really hope they make a second season as the show certainly deserves it. Anyway time to get some sleep~

LIAR Apr 4, 2011 10:11 AM

The marathon never ends. It goes on FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

FatsDomino Apr 6, 2011 07:25 PM

Gonna start tonight's broadcast featuring The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under in a few minutes. Hope to see you guys there.

FatsDomino Apr 13, 2011 03:14 PM

Tonight we'll be watching Kirikou and the Sorceress and Tangled. So lots of African titties and lots and lots of hair. Be there!

Philia Apr 13, 2011 07:52 PM

Tangled the movie! PEOPLE. TANGLED. How could you NOT want to see this. JOIN US already.

The Plane Is A Tiger Apr 13, 2011 08:36 PM

Technically I just finished watching Tangled a few minutes ago. Just not with you guys. Sorry. :(

FatsDomino Apr 20, 2011 05:01 PM

It's 4/20 so what better movie to watch than Alice in Wonderland? Don't answer that (or do I'm up for trippy movies for future waws). Also since it's Easter time I'll be showing a little something Easter related prior to the big movies. It's also the time of Passover or something (I don't understand Jewish calendars but it's usually around Easter so whatever) so we'll also be watching The Prince of Egypt. The usual fun stuff before and after the main movies too. Hope to see you guys there! =D

Shorty Apr 25, 2011 01:06 PM

Aww man, I'm so bummed I missed that! Hopefully that's up on archives?

FatsDomino Apr 27, 2011 08:11 PM

I haven't gotten last weeks in the archives yet, but eventually it'll be there.

This week I'm going to show Bass/Rankin's animated version of The Hobbit. I enjoyed watching The First Easter Rabbit last week so I decided to dig a little more on some of their other stuff and some of it is quite quality. Unfortunately the current DVD release of The Hobbit is missing a lot of the nostalgia inducing sound effects so I'll be showing a VHS version. Sorry ahead of time for the poor video quality and the hiss but I like preserving the original intended way of experiencing film when I can.

A suggestion from last week was Coraline so I'll be showing this as well.

We'll be finishing up Regular Show season 2 tonight and it will be some time before season 3 begins again. I'll have to figure out something to fill its place. Bronies will be ending in two weeks as well. It will be hell without them. So I'm starting up something that I think will last us a while - Wakfu. Hopefully you guys enjoy it.

Anyway I'll be starting all this fairly soon. Hope to see you soon.

FatsDomino May 4, 2011 09:05 PM

I've been working on revamping how the broadcast page works. I'll talk more on that later.

Tonight The Lord of the Rings which actually only covers the first two books but whatever and Fantasia which has been long requested. See ya there.

FatsDomino May 11, 2011 08:18 PM

We'll be finishing off The Lord of the Rings with The Return of the King by the same dudes who did The Hobbit and also our second picture tonight, The Last Unicorn. Hope to see ya soon.

FatsDomino May 18, 2011 05:15 PM

Tonight's features are The Muppet Movie and Fantasia 2000. It should be a fun time so hope to see you guys in a few hours. =)

FatsDomino May 25, 2011 08:43 PM

We'll be watching The Incredibles and The Princess and the Frog tonight. We'll be starting shortly. Hope to see you there.

FatsDomino Jun 1, 2011 08:25 PM

No WAW tonight. However, I'll be doing what was supposed to be last night's anime club movie night instead. It works out to be shorter than what WAW would be so it works out for me. I wasn't really planning to do WAW this week anyway.

FatsDomino Jun 15, 2011 07:12 PM

WAW is back! I'll be doing it a bit differently tonight though. We'll be watching six episodes Archer season 2 instead of two movies along with the usual Wakfu. Oh and I'm finally showing more Regular Show as well. *nod* *nod* *nod*

If you haven't seen Archer before it is available in the archives.

I imagine we'll probably start in maybe 10 minutes. I have to finish nabbing a few things.

FatsDomino Jun 23, 2011 09:16 PM

oh dang i usually don't forget posting this stuff but yeah we finished archer season 2 yesterday but had a bunch of tech difficulties toward the end. more of a reminder for myself than anything

FatsDomino Jun 29, 2011 07:20 PM

Tonight we'll be watching Exosquad along with a bunch of our usual stuff. We'll also be testing the new chat software that I finally got around to properly skinning (well beyond a few dimension hiccups that I might tweak later on) so be sure to hard reset the page if you don't see it. We'll also be using justin.tv since webcaston is utter garbage these days for whatever reason. But yeah new chat. If you don't feel like registering for an account you can use a guest name of your choosing and log in with that. I'm using this new chat because it isn't flash based so it should make your browser much happier - I know it makes mine happier. Anyway see you in like I dunno 10 to 20 minutes.

FatsDomino Jul 6, 2011 08:40 PM

We'll be finishing up Wakfu season 1 and Exosquad season 1 and Regular Show season 2 tonight. Oh, there will also be more The Amazing World of Gumball as well. Sorry for the late start but it's been a really long day. I should probably get this thing rolling in ten minutes.

FatsDomino Jul 13, 2011 09:00 PM

Quite a bit late I know but tonight will be Tarzan and South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. Hope to see you in a few minutes.

FatsDomino Jul 20, 2011 08:36 PM

Kung Fu Panda and Beavis & Butthead Do America. Why not?

See you in the stream soon. Also I've revamped the page a little. Should be slightly easier on the eyes.

FatsDomino Jul 27, 2011 09:41 PM

I had other plans for tonight but eh I'm still feeling like having a shorter waw tonight. Just one movie - Wallace and Gromit In The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit and your usual wakfu etc. etc. See you in a few minutes maybe.

FatsDomino Aug 9, 2011 04:12 PM

ATTENTION! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

Okay, this has probably been a long time coming but it's something that needs to be done. I'm going on hiatus after this week. I will be finishing up what I have left of anime club by Thursday. There will also be one more WAW on Wednesday for those of you that double dip. After that I will be on hiatus only doing Let's Play streams every now and then.

Why am I doing this? A couple reasons actually.

1) I have a huge backlog of shows that need archiving and that means both actually going through and encoding, timing, and doing html bullshit and also rebroadcasting a good amount of shows locally that got cut short due to technical difficulties and other unforeseen crap that was out of my control that left me with partial recordings. So I will taking some of the hiatus time to just rebuild a proper archive and hopefully get a nice system down so I can keep it going well when I break hiatus.

2) I'll be returning to school and until I can figure out how that will work for me it might be a good thing I'm not doing shows. Depending on my school schedule I may have to shuffle the streaming schedule around to different days and/or times.

3) Attendance has honestly been pretty poor (even for WAW) and that could be attributed to waning interest, conflicting schedules on the part of viewers, my inconsistent broadcast start time, disinterest in what is showing, and/or disinterest with my stream entirely. I realize you all have your own lives and it's just another dumb stream on the Internet. Some of my fondest memories were when I started this thing up and had some funny regulars from #gfchat that got me into this to begin with but they have since either lost interest or have conflicting schedules. I regret not being able to satisfy everyone's schedule and that was what the archives were for and I think neglecting them is part of how I lost some of my audience. Another thing is general apathy I see in the forums and even this thread. When I started this thing I thought it would be more like the simulcast threads on something awful where we watch a couple episodes and then while we do some fun mst3k hijinks in the stream chat we'd then come back to the thread and talk more seriously about what we're watching. Instead it's usually just me chiming in with a post indicating I'm starting the stream soon and maybe a post asking for show requests met usually with no responses. I'm not perfect and I do shoot down some ideas but I think I've been fair and meeting requests too. In any case it is true that attendance has been rather low. The best events I do are still the rare Drink On and my Let's Plays and as such those will be the only streams I'll do during the hiatus.

For those of you that have been with me through most of this I really appreciate you being there and all the bullshit you have put up with me. If this was the thing that really made your Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights then I'm really sorry that I'm letting you down. Hopefully when I come back it will be a more consistent program with a honest to goodness archive kept up to date regularly and hopefully a better attended stream. Thank you all so much again for making this one hell of a thing. Here's to one more week and then it shall be hiatus time. Feel free to let me know what you think of all this and of course any suggestions that I should take into account during the down time.

FatsDomino Aug 10, 2011 08:16 PM

Alright well I couldn't really think of much to show tonight so it'll be Duck Tails The Movie, Wakfu specials, and Gumball. Hope to see you guys soon.
