Epic Mickey
http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/t...EpicMickey.jpg Here's more on this EPIC game Spoiler:
Spoiler:
He also said quote "Disney scared the pants off me when I was a little kid. Disney needs to scare kids" and "We're kind of looking at this as the bast@rds love child of Tim Burton & Walt Disney" __________________________________________________ __________________________ Here are some facts about Mickey's image One: Mickey Mouse has been a favorite to everyone since the early days of Disney along with the other favorite Disney characters, but Mickey was the one who was "sort of" at the top of entertainment during his time. Two: Mickey's previous games "Magical Mirror" and "Hide & Sneak" had been given poor reviews do to the lack of good ideas for both games. Three: Mickey has been but on the Disney Company's back burner and has been reduced to T-shrits and other personal stuff. Four: In the previous years, PIXAR Entertainment was the new version of Mickey and that the mouse himself has his popularity reduced to doing a daytime kids educational show, but not doing a similar "Mouseworks Works" series since it ended back in 2002. Five: This game 'some what" explains the most obvious facts of how some the Disney stuff and movies like "Hercules" and others have been forgotten over the last decade, due to newer stuff like "Pirates of the Caribbean" being more of hit than others. Six: If all goes well, this might be the mouse's key for redemption not only in the Entertainment area, but the gaming area as well. What do you guys think?:eye: PS: I've been hearing rumors about Disney doing a possible animated short and comic books in order to publicize the game even more. |
This description above says absolutely NOTHING about what this game is.
PS: Don't compare Mickey with Sonic...ever. |
Oh...your right. give me minute to get the info on here.
PS: About the deal with comparing Sonic to Mickey was just a thought. |
Is thread about a game or is it some kind of weird new style of fanfiction?
|
What's a Bas@ard?

I'm disappointed that the second half of that post was barely comprehensible English. I don't think that's the OP's fault, it looks like he was copying from another source, but since this is a game made by a native English speaker I would've expected a better rundown.
Even tantalizing details about what clothing designer made the FFXIII cast's underwear tends to be more comprehensible than "Two: Mickey has been "slamed" do to the previous games "Magical Mirror" and "Hide & Sneak" not doing what people expected them to be." |

The bizarre English, different font colour and random use of underline and bold has shades of the Time-Cube in it. It suggests - like that site - a feverish, hurried excitement behind every sentence. It's always lovely to see a display of such enthusiasm, even about a game. |
I was trying to get my points out there about why this game sounds so incredible.
Also thanks for the commit. |
I'm assuming English is your second language, Sonic. Where you from originally?
|
I'm sorry Sonic. I thought I was bagging on a dude who speaks English natively but isn't very good at writing. I don't mean to bag on somebody who is learning English, I mean, I don't know any other languages so who am I to insult somebody who's learning one?
As for making your points more clear, it just felt like you were talking without having any context, so that was really confusing to me. It might also be because I'm not a gamer so I didn't know that those two were games; I thought that they might be fake-games referenced in the Epic Mickey game that provide part of the backstory. Also: if you are exuberantly enthused about this game, rock on. It does look sweet as hell. |

PS: I like the game's artwork because it reminds me of Tim Burton. |
I love the childlike enthusiasm in the opening post, it's refreshing to see a post so devoid of cynicism here from time to time.
What sort of game is it Sonic-Dude? I'm assuming it's a platform game because Disney games pretty much always are but if the Resident Evil people are involved, a Mickey survival horror game would be beyond awesome. |
I remember seeing the article in Game Informer about the game, and it looked pretty neat. There's supposed to be two paths to playing the game you can take, either destroying everything in the world as an evil Mickey or saving all of the other characters and becoming a good Mickey. Depending on the choices you make, your character model (and I think a bit of how the world looks) will transform based on your actions.
I think they also talked about having to solve puzzles and defeating bosses/enemies in different ways depending on which path you're going with, so that could make it a bit more interesting than just another generic platform game. |
Ya, I've heard about the possibly about the game going on mutible platforms, but I thought the Warren only wanted to do this game only for the Wii
|
UPDATE:
According to IGN.com, The game will appear at E3 this June Quote:
|
Fuck, it's actually comeing to e3? Didn't expect that.
|
There are rumors that they've really rehauled the game after fans voiced out disappointment at the game not looking remotely close to its concept art. Here's hoping that's true.
|
really, well that's interesting. Let's just hope that the developers put on a good show for the game.
Where did you hear about this problem? |
|
ah, i see. Well, I hope this is just a...rumor, and anything more.
|
I read your post it's complete package for a Mickey scoop. There is supposed to be two paths to playing the game you can take, either destroying everything in the world as an evil Mickey or saving all of the other characters and becoming a good Mickey. It's all are depends on our mind set. That why it's making this game is very much interesting.
|
The game plays like "Spider-Man: Webs of Shadows". The whole deal with choosing which sides was the best idea ever created.
|
Wait, it's still in development? I thought it was out already? The first pictures came out, like, years ago.
|
"two paths in the story"
Man, this game is getting ridiculous, if not already. |
well, we'll just have to wait and see how the game does at E3
|
OMG, I've just watched the gameplay for it, it completely incredible and lives up the game's title. Spector certainly did NOT disappoint us at the huge Nintendo Briefing. I can't wait to see more of this within the coming months yet I'm certainly buy it along with all the other BIG Nintendo games.
From a comment from Shin says that the game isn't as dark as we all saw from the previously incredible concept art, yet I believe Spector won't leave us hanging without adding that stuff which gave the game publicity. Official Story Trailer

It looks like Epic Mickey turning out to be an incredible and EPIC game. Yet, I hope they add the Scary/Tim Burton stuff in the end because I love to see that in the game which would just make my day. |

Well now, that's bit harsh but really, the mouse is on his own path regardless of Disney's intentions.

I see what you mean. I just want the game to have the scary & creepy stuff that I saw from the concept art and nothing more.

People listen up, I've got some frustrating news about one of the main features of the game

Honestly, who cares what some biker dude thinks. Yet, I thought this game was to go more for the Preteen and older audience let along remaking Mickey's image. Personally Robot Donald looks like a zombie and I hope that it's not taken away along with the others do to being, too scary for the younger audience. Dang, Focus Groups Could the Focus Group be mixed with parents of little children to make this questionable decision as well? What do you guys think? |
