Playboy - May 2006 - Top 10 Party Schools

So, is your university on the list? Mine is. #10 - McGill, the only Canadian school. Do I agree with it? Yup, we party like freaks here. I can only imagine what the other schools did to beat us in the rankings.

I'm buying the issue tomorrow just to see if I know any of the McGill girls in it. I heard that some chick in my program is one of the four - I just want to see if it's true.

Meth Apr 7, 2006 12:27 AM

ASU #1 as usual

I don't go there but most everybody I know here does. I live about 5 mins away. Crazy Tempe, AZ. It's always a party down here.

Stealth Apr 7, 2006 12:36 AM

Was it to much to ask that you paste the list?

I hate downtown Tempe so much. And ASU. Fuck I just hate college towns in general.

Paco Apr 7, 2006 12:47 AM

You're only saying this because you've never done a kegstand while two scantily-clad girls covered in Jello held your legs up in the air and then poured shots of Jägermeister down your hatchet using their cleavage.

I miss college. :(

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Apr 7, 2006 01:10 AM

What the FUCK Enceph. Where did you go to college?

(Fucking U of M. What do we have. NOTHING.)

That really doesn't interest me. So that's not the reason why I'm saying that.

Paco Apr 7, 2006 02:30 AM

You're just saying that because you haven't tried it. :p

why do you hate downtown tempe? yeah, there's cover at all the bars, but you'd have to go to south beach miami in order to find a higher density of hot chicks. Tempe's not a bad place to be, cause you can always roll up to scottsdale if you're tired of Mill.

I'd rather hang out with ASU kids than most of the kids at our school. At least the ASUers bathe on a regular basis.

Is the M for Montreal or Manitoba?

1. Arizona State
2. Wisconsin, Madison
3. San Diego State
4. Florida State
5. Santa Barbara
6. Georgia
7. Tennessee
8. Indiana
9. Ohio University
10. McGill

russ Apr 7, 2006 08:14 AM

Oh dear, there will be a lot of University of Alabama kids mad about being left off the list.

SuperNova Apr 7, 2006 08:27 AM

I wonder where Zoo-Mass was overall. They've been up there before. My brother's college, Plymouth State University in NH was at one time Best Small Party School. Fairly recently too if I remember.

Mucknuggle Apr 7, 2006 09:32 AM

Ok, so now that I have the list I see that what I found online is wrong.

1. Wisconsin
2. UC Santa Barbara
3. Arizona State
4. Indiana
5. San Diego State
6. Florida State
7. Ohio
8. Georgia
9. Tennessee
10. McGill

Also, I'm pretty sure that I know the middle chick in the McGill section.

bighunt Apr 7, 2006 12:26 PM

what no D-III schools on the list?? damn... we could party in the college i went to. 2000 students in the middle of PA can't be wrong!

First, I hate bars. I just hate the scene there. Downtown is bloody crowded all the time with retarded college kids. The only reason I'd want to be in downtown is for either the Valley Arts or Zia Records. The density of hot chicks I really don't care about since I already have a hot girlfriend, and most of the chicks at ASU are not my type. Plus I like being bitter.

Igod82 Apr 7, 2006 02:38 PM

Hell Yea UCSB - Im telling u hottest woman - One time i was down in Del Playa st this is back when i lived in cali ( now in DC metropolitan Virginia) And it was like 1:30 Am everyone drinking walking on the street its like a parade - and then all the sudden the hot ass swim team comes running by all of them like 30 girls in Bikinis in the middle of the night - and they where going threw the crowd taunting guys and such Verry fun. And not to mention just the hot girls that live there in Isla Vista ( which is one of the most densly populated areas in the US. ) down there u just go from house to house and drink whatever - One house me and my boys got invited too by this hot girl who looked like Alicia Keys, and she had like 8 room mates - including a very cute little filipina who ran around in her panties. Ahhh I wanted to go to that school too - i dont think i woudl have got one bit of studying done.

Star Man Aevum Apr 7, 2006 02:41 PM

I could have sworn that CSU Boulder was on there.

Damn.

Manitoba, my good man. A relatively dull campus by comparison to many others. Not bad or unpleasant by any stretch but you hardly, if ever, catch wind of major parties happening.

Let me guess. You went to IUP.

Mucknuggle Apr 7, 2006 05:33 PM

The cool thing about McGill is that the few sororities and frats that do exist do not dominate the party scene. Most of the big parties are actually run by the various student governments on campus. Money well spent I say.

I went to a small community college here in Central Cali, but back then I was always on the move. Most weekends I was out and about the county on weekends getting plastered. The weekends when I wasn't here in Central Cali I was out visiting my high school buddies in other colleges who, unlike me, actually applied themselves to their studies and went on to the large universities in California.

For example, #2 on the list: U.C.S.B.

No surprises here, my friends. Isla Vista is basically a town full of drunks, only they happen to be college students with really high G.P.A.s. This is also the campus where I've met the most beautiful girls I've ever met in my life, so it doesn't surprise me that these party animal girls are all over the opportunity to be spreading their legs to a magazine cover.

I REALLY miss college. :(

U of M as in University of Michigan? I only ask since I go there, Ann Arbor campus :)

RABicle Apr 7, 2006 11:49 PM

I like the way Trinity College as part of University of Western Australia would beat all of these joints.

I went there once, outta control. And I was told it was a quieter night by a resident.

Wisconsin is number one? I guess since there's literally nothing to do there, the only thing they can do is party. Haha.

Mojougwe Apr 10, 2006 11:04 PM

Mind my ignorance, but how was this information on party statistics obtained? Did Playboy go and look up how many students were arrested while attending certain institutions? Or did they explore what happened on campus at certain institutions?

No idea. I didn't read the article. I just bought the issue because I wanted to see if I knew any of the McGill chicks. Wisconsin got #1 because it's a crazy party place. The Halloween party there every year attracts over 100 000 people.

Gr|M Apr 11, 2006 01:18 AM

Yeah I go to Wisconsin and I am not surprised at all to see this result.

Igod82 Apr 12, 2006 03:14 PM

Encephalon - What part of Central Cali did u stay in - I was born out there, A boring place for someone in their 20's

Other than santa barbara Oh and San Luis Obispo has some hot Barbie Doll girls.

Watashi_Baka_Da Apr 16, 2006 10:21 PM

Oh Damn, University of West Florida didn't make it. lol

My school is pretty lame, but I don't think I could really handle too much excitement.

Arainach Apr 16, 2006 11:11 PM

Did this edition still state that it refused to put Michigan State on the list because it was unfair to compare Professionals to Amatures? I know the last version did, and while the noise ordinances have slightly toned stuff down compared to a year ago, stuff hasn't changed to the point where I believe we could leave the Top 10 completely.

EDIT: #20? Harsh. Harsh, Hugh. Dang. Oh well, we're still on the Top 25 list, I suppose.

YeOldeButchere Apr 17, 2006 12:07 AM

McGill is a party school? Uh oh, might be time for me to reconsider my choice of school for next year...

In all seriousness, I can't wait to see how it'll be. I'm not much of a party person, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy one from time to time. Just as long as I don't wake up in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere, without remembering anything.

Mucknuggle Apr 19, 2006 03:51 PM

What are you going into at McGill next year? Management people are uhh.... quite the partyers.

YeOldeButchere Apr 19, 2006 07:45 PM

Physics. Likely the farthest you can get from being in a management program.

No. Hard Pass. Apr 19, 2006 07:46 PM

Fucking coward. That's why they BUILT barns.

Summonmaster Apr 19, 2006 08:35 PM

Oh man, I SO thought that Western was more of a party university than McGill, since I associate Western with that kind of stuff. Since it includes America, I'm not too shocked it's not on the list though.

I know some physics people...ya.... BTW for Halloween you must check out the Anatomy and Cell Biology (MACSS) Haunted House pre-party. I'm not just saying that because I'm on the student council...

Yggdrasil Apr 20, 2006 10:03 PM

Wow, when I heard that UCSB was a party school I didn't think it was the nation's #2.
