The RPG Character Name Game
I know there hasn't been much news in terms of RPG's lately unless I'm completely out of the loop. I was thinking of a fun idea that a lot of rpg gamers could have a little fun with.
It's a game a little like guess that anime screenshot. The only difference is that the first person gives a description about a playable rpg character from a game. If you want to use humor to describe that character it is highly encouraged. That person has to guess who the character is and from what game. The person who gets it right will continue by giving their description of a playable character and the GFF members will guess who it is, and it will continue like that. For Example: I'm a spiky haired warrior that does not have one bit of dialogue throughout the entire game unless you get one of the many endings in the game. I try my best to help out those in need but it always seems to get me in trouble especially when it comes to helping a certain princess. Time travel is such a bitch. Who am I and what game am I from? Obviously it would be Crono from Chrono Trigger. So I hope its a good idea and it gets plenty of forum participation. If people want to add any ideas or any ways to make this idea better I would greatly appreciate it. Just remember the person you chose to write a description on has to be a playable rpg character. Here we go: Boy do I love my guns. Its really funny that I love using my guns so much especially since I'm a very religious person, but I'm actually a hunter for my church. I have issues with my dad who abandoned my family. I actually run an orphanage in which I dedicate my life to looking after children but in reality I actually put these little bastards through slave labor when I unleashed my secret weapon for the first time in the game. Who am I and from what game? Guess right and you get to write the next description of a playable rpg character of your choice. If nobody can't get the answer after a day or two, you have to revel who it is, and then someone else will volunteer to write the description of the next character. |
Billy from Xenogears.
Sorry it only lasted seven minutes |

Smarmy and sarcastic, this fellow trades jabs with a talking bird on his shoulder. His quest involves typical JRPG shit like songstresses, demons split into a bunch of parts via a church that spreads some bullshit lies regarding an ancient war, and that whole relunctant hero crap. He also has a stupid haircut, but his best bit is the battle system his game has. It involves move cancelling and initiative points.
|
Ryudo from Grandia II
|
Quite. You're up.
|
My name is both a guy's and a girl's, and when you look at me, you might not be sure right away which, perhaps the antler hair gives it away. I am known for chasing shirtless blonds with metallic hands and my leather shorts feature revolutionary cooling vents around the buttocks.
I also happen to star in the greatest PS1 game ever made |
Ashley from Vagrant Story (loooool antler hair).
|
Diss beat me to it. :)
|
I don't want to leave you guys with nothing to guess (I'm going to bed) so I'll just assume I'm right and move on (since I'm right).
I've got to get something off my chest, man, I tell you. I work, and I fight, and I bleed for the good of the land. Sometimes I even die, ending up all face-down over there. You know. On the right. And you know what? I'm happy to do it. Even when it turns out that nobody even realizes that I helped save the god damn world. I'm cool with that. It's not about glory. You know what gets me, though? Crono. That little son of a bitch is one of the most well-known characters in RPG history. For what? I have just as much dialogue. My red hair is just as spiky. I can't use magic like he can, but back in my day our classes were more cut-and-dry, and that's the way we liked it! Honestly, I think I've always just been a little sensitive about this whole "Super" Nintendo thing. I always thought it was pretty super to begin with. :( |
Err... Might it be the fighter class from FF I??
|
It might!
And, indeed, is! I see now I may have made that too easy. I also see the latest 5 posts box kind of ruins the whole recursive sub tags thing. :( |
:p
Here goes: And so I led them through the forest. With my trusty short bow in hand, I helped my winged companion and her "boyfriend" stop the General and his Gremlins from using the Golem's power to destroy my home, as he had done the humans'. I still can't believe it sacrificed itself just so we could cross the river and continue our quest ! |
I'll venture a guess with Bo from Breath of Fire. I remember nothing about a General, gremlins, or a Golem, but the first part all fits!
|
That's it.
I think the golem was actually called a robot in game though I'm not 100% on that. The General and Gremlins were the foes who took control of it when the party was off in some cave. |
That was a fun game.
|
Seriously, is that it? I was hoping to get in on the action.
|
What happens if Tritoch doesnt post one?
|
Technically the game is not over. Tritoch was the last member to get the game right. I kind of thought he would put up his character description, but its been over two days now. So I guess, I'll be the next one to describe a character. Tritoch if you see this in the next few minutes, just let me know, and I'll omit the entry, so that you can describe your rpg character.
I'll just make this clear, as long as anybody doesn't mind. If the person that guesses the character and game correctly does not make a post in the next two days, anybody can continue on with their next description of a rpg character. Edit: I took my choice for my character away |
(Ah crap, you'd think with all the procrastinating I did this weekend I would've remembered to come back to this thread. I sort of completely lost track of time for the past three days, and Nutty just pointed this out to me. In the future we should probably have a rule of something like one day leeway before anyone can post the next clue.)
I am the most powerful human to ever live, and even the king of the gods fell before my might. Never again shall others look down on me. So what if I have a few small personality quirks? I'm not the first guy to obsess over a woman. Plenty of people keep a basement full of naked clones of their beloved, right? EDIT: To keep things in order, Angel's talking about Anise from Tales of the Abyss. Mwahaha. |
Thanks for posting quick Tritoch, we'll keep that rule into effect. Give it one day leeway. Sorry about that, I knew you were busy with a lot of assignments and all that good stuff. I have no idea who your character is.
|
You're Lezard from Valkyrie Profile.
|
Yep, the basement o' Lenneths makes it pretty obvious.
|
Mistranslated lines? Changed names? Intentionally jazzing up (or dulling down) your personalities? Insinuating you're dead, leading to ten years of emo fanfiction about your supposed death just to be retconned accidentally through a movie seqel?
You characters don't know how good you got it. I changed races when I was ported over to America. New profile picture and all. They changed my hat, too, not that that matters. Did they change the fencer's race? No. Did they change the rich guy's race? No, they changed mine, the guy who dances. Seriously fucked up over here. :c-walks out: |
Bump.
|
Mark, aka Masao Inaba from Persona 1, right.
|
THANK YOU.
|
That sprung to mind when you mentioned race-swapping, but I couldn't be sure since I've yet to play Persona 1.
|
You get my turn.
|
What? You've got to pay the price for knowing the answer. I'm not your Finnish man-servant.
|
Hmph. Fine.
"Old Ward. Also known as: Wanker City" Let's see if ye ken guess eet without googling, berk. |
You should make it less obvious. If you use a game you're currently ranting and raving about it's quite easy to hazard a guess. Using an easy quote doesn't make it any better. Might as well use THIS GUY ARE SICK.
I refuse to answer solely because I ain't got shit I want to use as a followup question, so I'll let the next fella get it. |
Well, there's a huge chuck of RPG Forumites who don't know about my journal, nor click on the little popup tab. Or would even make the connection because lol genre :3:
Plus even if they spot the game, they likely don't know the character, cutter. |
Anna from Planescape: Torment, right?
|
Annah, but yes you are quite correct. Should have said "Annah of the Shadows" for that extra flair~
|
Ok then, I guess it's my turn then.
I guess you could say I was never really close to my father. I mean, he did banish my mother and me when I was only 7 years old, all because I didn't have the ability to use magic. When I was 12 years old I started learning how to be a blacksmith and because of my skill at it, I would later become know as "The Steel". A few years later my mother died and that really tore me up. None of my misfortunes would stop me from making something of myself though, in fact, I ended up becoming the ruler of my own kingdom, one that I started created from the ground up. |
Gustave XIII, SaGa Frontier 2.
|
You are correct!
|
I am the illegitimate son of the chairman of the powerful Merchant's Guild, as it turns out. Upon my unexpected return home to meet him, he sent me off to a town on the fringes of the country and out of the view of his political rivals. I did pretty nicely for myself in this new place, but my father and his agents tried to arrest me for tax fraud when I cut them out of the loop (which may have been the case, but that's neither here nor there!). Through hard work, dedication, and a little bit of political intrigue, I fought off the battalion sent to apprehend me-- and brought down my father's power base in the process. Sorry, Dad?
Now if only people could pronounce the town's name right. |
That sounds like Thomas from Suikoden III...
|
That sounds like the correct answer.
This is good for gauging how vague I need to be in future questions. Apparently much more so. |
It helps that I just got past that part in the game.
I had to stay behind in a small town because something valuable belonging to my master, a merchant, was stolen. He thought that my special abilities would help me to find the item. With the help of two strangers from the north, I was able to recover it, and upon discovering that there was no way for me to return to my master, I decided to join them on their quest. (trying not to make it too easy, and probably failing) |
Ivan from Golden Sun?
|
Well that lasted a long time.
|
As cool as a winter breeze, and as lethal as a flying knife, I'm an assassin. People around me often mention words such as "emotion" and "remorse", but such phrases are wasted on me. I am a corpse who has never been alive, willing to kill whoever by whatever means. With my cape and dagger, I can glide through the blanket of the night and strike like a nimble tiger all within the time span of a few seconds. That girl, though......she is the only one I even remotely sense any feeling of attachment with.
|
Assuming you're just speaking in metaphor, Shadow?
|
Nope. But you are correct in that first assumption.
<_< >_> |
The cold assassin whose emotions are awakened by a girl is a pretty common theme, really. You may want to expand upon that if a day or two passes with no answer, since the only useful identifier there is the mentioning of a cape (which now apparently may or may not be a metaphor).
For now though, I'm stumped. |
Yeah, Shadow was my only guess too, but I ruled him out because of the cape.
|
People were looking for a challenge, weren't they? And the best way to offer a challenge with this game is to remain fairly ambiguous and/or choose a relatively unknown character. But yeah, if it's too general, then I'll offer a couple of hints.
Also the blanket of night is a metaphor, the cape isn't...I think what Axel was alluding to was the "corpse" bit anyway. |
I should have just ended mine at "hero who uses a sword and has a retarded haircut". Then I could be deliciously vague too.
|
Cape + assassin = Clyde from Suiko 1 & 2.
Oh, there's a dagger. Nevermind then. I hope I don't guess it anyway since last time I guessed right, I had to beg people to guess my character :( |
As much as Clyde is awesome and using his name as an answer should be correct for just about anything, he's not the one I'm talking about. :(
Quote:
|
I'm guessing Jaffar from Fire Emblem, though I have to be honest I wouldn't have remembered his name without googling a bit, and I certainly wouldn't have known without your mention of the strategy RPG.
|
Yep, that's it! (Sorry guys I'll do a better one next time :eagletear:)
|
All right here's my next one:
I can't believe how my outlook on life has changed since I started traveling with this raggedy bunch. Who could have ever thought I might one day find another reason to fight besides the satisfaction of planting my fist on someone's skull? Returning to my clan was quite a trial also, what with their new leader who wasn't even willing to speak to me anymore. Aye, it's a good thing I recovered that artifact from our enemies in the mountain, otherwise I would have never been able to regain my honor. These new robes sure are more comfortable than that heavy armor I used to wear. Additionnal spam: No one? Really? Ok here's a bigger hint: I've even come to understand that the demon girl and the tree-worshiper aren't so bad since I've started traveling with this group. |
In the interest of keeping this thread alive I'll give out a final hint that'll make this obvious for anyone who's played the game (or fond of google):
How could those Luskan bastards think our leader would go so far as to slay a whole village? It's not right I tell you! |
Go, go, gadget Google!
Is it Daelan Red Tiger from Neverwinter Nights? |
Errr... No but your getting awfully close (read sequel)...
|
Then its maybe Khelgar Ironfist from NWN2? Also using the power o' search.
|
That's right.
I really didn't expect it to be this hard to guess, maybe not too many people here have played this game? |
Can't say I had. The impression from the first NWN was less than stellar, and it pretty much convinced me never to touch the franchise again. The reviews then comparing it to Knights of the Old Republic 2 didn't help much either. I'll see what I can do about getting something up in a little bit.
|
I've never played it either to be honest. I think without those extra clues we would have been here a while.
|
I see. I haven't played KOTOR 2 or even the first one, but I played both NWN games and thoroughly enjoyed them, even though the ending to the second one is probably the biggest load of baloney put in a game.
|
The KOTOR games are two of the greatest rpgs of all time, even without the lightsabers although they'd have been even better if either was actually finished properly.
|
That's pretty much the same complaint I saw about NWN2 on a number of different sites. I thought it was great through and through, but the ending. Oh my. What a failed attempt at a cliffhanger.
|
Tween brigands bends the whiten path,
O' harrowed souls their hearts have sold. Search faithful shafts for heathen mark, Strive ere the world burn for the old. Removed and present, saved and lost, Captive what prayer is thine colleen? In lands they fall for lumps of rock, Their power path to sights unseen. O' odius orb, o' shifting sight, Let loose your glow where brothers vie. Give health to all who'd ask my aid, This fragile flowered form am I. {I guess we'll see whether this is too vague.} I loved the first KOTOR, as it evoked all of the good writing and storytelling of Baldur's Gate in a Star Wars setting. I would have loved KOTOR 2 if it hadn't been incredibly error and crash prone, as well as unfinished. The fact that all the data for the game actually made it onto the disk, but wasn't actually implemented just made it all the more annoying. |
The second one had the advantage of starting you off as a Jedi though so you didn't have to wait until half way through to start mind tricking people. I agree it could have been much, much better but it's still one of my all time favourite games.
|
As there are no guesses yet, a further clue. The game this character is from is old enough (and popular enough) that its been republished several times.
Additional Spam: Still nothing, so another. The character this references is in and out of your party multiple times over the course of the game, but has rejoined by the finale. |
I think even with the hints it might still be a little hard to get. I'm at a loss.
|
The Minstrel from Romancing SaGa?
I have no clue, I'm just putting up a guess so that at least one person attempted it. |
I'm just going to take a wild guess. I think its Kain from Final Fantasy IV, not by the riddle Araes you put at the beginning, just because of the other clues such as a game that is popular that its been republished several times, and the fact that he is always in and out of your party, and doesn't join again until close to the very end.
I'm probably wrong, but oh well. |
I'm thinking the line "this fragile flowered form am I" is a tip of some kind.
I considered it being metaphorical and literal... both to no avail. |
Close Angel, but you're off target slightly.
|
since I'm so close, I'm going to make one more guess and think its Rydia from Final Fantasy IV because of her fragiled form, when she is in your party at first, and she gets stronger when you get her again, but I'm probably off. As far as I know she only leaves your party I think twice, but if its not it, somebody else can take it.
|
You've knocked through two people who are in your last five. Attrition is your ally. White. Flower.
|
alright, its Rosa isn't it, man I can't believe I missed that. Flower, of course.
Edit: if its not rosa, then it has to be edge. Edit Again: Reading the riddle again, especially the last few lines, rosa is the white mage so therefore she can heal, so I'm confirming with Rosa |
You are correct sir. Could also be that I was pretty elliptical. Clues as poetry may be a little much. Still, I'll probably write haikus or a sonnet or some other such doggerel if I win again.
|
Mine is going to be nowhere near as tough, but here we go:
Its a pretty tough life, when I'm considered the comic relief of a game. I really thought I would be a little more respected. My party members think I'm strange despite I fight strongly for the freedom of my country. I'm a ninja I should be respected. I think the fact I pick up obscure objects and use them as a weapon doesn't win me much respect with my party members. Its probably a little easy, so Who am I? |
Rodney Dangerfield?
|
Reminds me a bit of Frank from Shadow Hearts 3, but I don't remember him fighting for the freedom of his country.
|
Quote:
|
Man, my life sucks. I've only got two friends. One is my robot who I can't even afford a battery for, and the other is my long-dead friend that just exists inside my PDA. The first time you meet me I'm getting curb-stomped by a bunch of thugs because I didn't pay up on my debts. Eventually I go on to find a couple of other friends to go adventuring around the universe with, even at one point finding an entire planet which wants to befriend me. Sadly, the RPG mechanics in my game almost appear as an afterthought, and I'd probably have been better off just having been an adventure game.
Additional Spam: Hints! My development was delayed even longer than Daikatana! Sadly, talk of me won't always make someone want to reinstall my game. My game is also known for having witty dialogue and text that's worth reading (ie not a JRPG). |
could it be Sylvester Bucelli from Anachronox?
|
Yep, it's Detective Sly Boots.
|
this won't be too difficult I guess.
I often perform kamen rider poses and have a strict sense of justice, since the start I forced my underclassmen to join my quest for justice, some of my special attacks involve drills. |
I'm pretty sure you're talking about Flay from Mana Khemia. His hero of justice sidequests were fantastic.
|
I wonder if he noticed your response.
|
Yeah, i wanted to get in on this action too.
|
Eh, go ahead and take my turn. I'm fairly certain I was right, but I don't have a good hint in mind at the moment.
|
Well I'll try one.
I seem destined to be a slave. Hell, I have a princess and a supposed king of evil who currently share ownership over me. The king is admittedly not the brightest soul and sometimes asks me questions to which the correct answer seems to be completely random. At least my shadow isn't pink. |
That almost sounds like Prinny.
|
Nope. Not Prinny. That was one of the characters I was considering though.
|
OMG. What's his name... Ari, the boy hero from Okage the SHADOW KING. Beaten that cute rpg not too long ago! HIS SISTER got that pink shadow lmao.
Alright, hmm... here we go... this one is an oldie. Not going for subtleties here. Grandpa taught me a move to make me go very fast before I left for the kingdom. My father died for his kingdom leaving behind a legacy that is expected of me. On my very first job for the King, everyone fell asleep! |
Meia>Yup, you got it.
And damnit, that sounds familiar but I'm not remembering! ARGH! |
Hrm... 4 days and no show. I suppose E3 is distracting everyone right now. Which is fine. I'll just give another random hint.
You'd think I'm Adol the Red but I'm not. Although my game is similar in the gameplay to that series. In fact, my game is considered as a black sheep to its series. |
Actually, that hint has made me more confused than ever. I figured it was one of the Dragon Quest games from the first clue, since I remembered a village entirely put to sleep and that spell that allowed instant teleportation between towns (moving very fast).
|
Black sheep? I simply must guess Suikoden IV for that.
Honestly though, I have no clue since I don't have enough oldies under my belt. Hope I don't kick myself for having actually played it but not long enough. |
It has to be a black sheep because it's an action-RPG instead of a (likely) turn-based RPG, like the rest of the games in its series. Probably wasn't reviewed very well, either (lending to its... black sheepness).
It feels like it's on the tip of my tongue, but I'm at a loss. Only commenting to show what I've deduced from the hints. |
You're right so far GB, but I also included Adol the Red hint for a very obvious characteristic.
|
I keep thinking it has to be a console RPG since that cross-genre stuff happens way more often there, but nothing seems to be coming to mind.
Max from Shining Force Neo? I don't think the people fell asleep in that game, though. He does learn a warp move from... someone who may be his grandfather, so who knows. |
You're pretty damn close, but its not Max or Neo.
|
Uh... Amitaliri from Shining Force EXA? I remember nothing about that game except that she was a redhead.
|
Think of a very much older game (apparently... >.> ). Its definitely more than 10 years old. ;__; Next time I shouldn't use SUCH AN OLD TITLE.
I actually enjoyed NEO and started up EXA not too long ago. But got distracted again and after like 2 or so hours of EXA, its on hold. What's weird is that I watched SD play some old game on Dreamcast that looks exactly like NEO. I did a double take on that and it was Record of the Lodoss War. Should get around to that eventually. :D |
Yeah, Neverland developed all three of those games. I never played Lodoss War though, so I have no idea if you're hinting that the redhead in that game is the one you're looking for (I tried looking up "old" too, with little luck). A google search seems to indicate that that dude has no real backstory anyway.
It's a good one, Meia! EDIT: Now that I think about it, Record of Lodoss War isn't a game series, so it wouldn't have worked anyway. |
LOL, alright I'm barreling down to the last kind of hint.
HERE WE GO. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...avon/doh-1.gif If I gave out the system that its for, its done. |
I imagine it's for the Genesis since you can see A, B, and C in the top left. However, I didn't own any RPGs for my Genesis, so I have no idea. I googled that dude's name and it returend Ys, though I've never played any, so I have no clue (and am too lazy to further google).
|
Just for the record, its not for genesis... but its in the same vein though.
|
Hahaha, Christ almighty.
Mars from Shining Wisdom. |
Fucking A GB, now you go. Thank god that's over! ;) What finally broke it by the way? Was it really the image? Or the system?
Also notice how damn close you were when you said Max from Neo? LOL |
Yeah, the picture is what jogged my memory. I barely played the game, so I never would have guessed it without a visual aid! Okay, here's the new one:
I am one of the famed "Four Swordsmen" of my homeland. Though I bear a cursed rune on my hand that people say is responsible for the world's troubles, I continue to search for a way to end the great war ravaging the realm. Maybe this mark is bad luck though-- after all, my friends and I had our life forces bound together by an evil warlock for a time, and I've even been flung through time and space to the final days of a legendary empire in order to stop its court magician from completing his catastrophic research. |
Quote:
There are a few characters from Genso Suikoden that may fit this description... Do I at least have the game right?? |
Nope, you're getting tripped up by the word "rune," I'm sure. This particular rune serves no purpose in the gameplay, and is mostly just a plot device. More hints... this series only had two entries, and the second game's events (the bound lifeforces and the evil wizard) are chronologically the first. I'll throw in another snippet:
A girl who looked after me as a child disappeared many years ago. As it turns out, she was also sent back in time to the same place. But, seeing as I wasn't sent back until much later, there is no real age difference between us anymore. This girl is the other playable character in the first game of the series. |
Sagi from Baten Kaitos Origins?
This and Lufia are the only two games that I know that had been chronically played out of order. And Lufia had more than two installments. ;) |
No, neither of those. Though, like those two series, the two installments of this one were both found on the same console (let's not count the Legend Returns or the Ruins of Lore).
Unlike them, however, is that both mystery games have the same protagonist-- Baten Kaitos and Lufia changed heroes in their respective sequels. |
If it helps, here's a picture of the cursed mark:
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...el/wall-05.jpg The mark also serves as the series' logo. If that still isn't enough, I'll post a gameplay picture that I think wouldn't give away too much. Hopefully this is enough though. |
Can we get another hint?
|
|
I knew that symbol looked familiar, it's Darius from Evergrace on the PS2.
|
Correct. Your turn.
|
I feel like I've changed so much in such a short amount of time. I mean, what is a monk like me doing traveling with people like this? I've never met a girl raised by a wolf before and this blue haired kid doesn't really talk much, he only shakes his head yes or no when he's asked a question. Oh, and I can't forget that each of us have a special "friend" of our own. Oh well, it's up to me to find "HIM", the one that betrayed me and my fellow monks. Maybe with the help of my new friends I can accomplish this task that was given to me.
|
Gala from Legend of Legaia.
|
Correct. I guess it's back to you.
|
Whoever posts a new one first gets my spot. Except you, Tankalex, since you just went.
|
Thanks GB, I greatly appreciate it:
This one is a little easy, so hopefully it'll give the thread a little more momentum, since the last two rpg characters were pretty tough to guess. "I've always been into fashion, and one of these days I feel like I can be a great designer. I suffer from a lot of insecurity. In the game I take the form of my best friend who I have always envied for a very long time. I spend a lot of time with the main character trying to make him realize he doesn't always have to be alone." |
It's Shiki Misaki from the world ends with you.
|
Quote:
|
"I'm a strong, trustworthy young woman warrior and will risk my very own life for my people. I'm not religious, but I follow the ways of the ancient of my planet strictly. I was always a natural leader and I can also be very persuasive... using threats, that is. It wasn't always like this, however. My motivation to be such a powerful warrior stems from an incident in my childhood that led to my mother's death and my sister losing her eyesight."
(I hope it's enough, not sure how easy it will be) |
Lilika from Rogue Galaxy.
If correct, someone else can have my turn. |
Quote:
|
Yep it's indeed Lilika, so since Peter is passing I guess you can have it shin lol
|
Right you are!
I never wanted to be a hero, I was just after some coin and cleavage. Bloody druids ruin everything. That should be more than enough to get it. It's probably too easy in fact. |
Lmao, The Bard from Bard's Tale. I played this a while back, couldn't get into it as much I would had liked though.
Okay, now that's out the way, I'm reserving this space til I figured out which rpg to go for... by now, you guys should know that I love my OLD 2D rpgs. :) I'm a bounty hunter out to save the world! We (she's NOT my girlfriend, she's my mentor!) found out that while there was a growing drought in the area, there's a related increase in monsters. So we set about the world recruiting whoever wanted to join as we investigated to find the real cause of this systematic catastrophe. Turns out its just not our area, but 2 other areas too, that are undergoing a shift in climate and related increase of monsters. And finally, they're just not your usual monsters either, they were manufactured. |
I knew it was too easy. :(
It's an awesome game though, shame on you for not getting into it. |
I bet this one's very easy.
"I'm a Dragon Knight. I've been away from my home for a long time now. I have been traveling the world in search of my boyfriend (who is another Knight) who left for a mission and never came back. We eventually met, but he forgot me. Oh, I'm actually a rat." |
Hmmm... sounds like Freya from FF IX, though I don't remember anything about her boyfriend...
|
Oh. Perhaps I should give a hint for mine then. ;__________;
Seth is a terrible character, he liked me and despite of his profession (archaeologist) he seems fishy... He joined us late in the game and yet his stats are pretty standard and somehow he has a powerful dark based spell set. |
Quote:
|
I'll let whoever guesses Meia's take it since I don't really have any good ideas for one right now.
|
Just hadn't looked at this one today. Meia: You could only be talking about Chaz Ashley, bounty hunter extraordinaire, from the wonderful Phantasy Star IV.
|
I think Meia is talking about Chaz from Phantasy Star IV. Had to look up the name, but her first description reminded me of the very small amount of PSIV that I've played.
EDIT: Beaten by Araes! |

Oh god. It's more decipherable than your previous poem, but you've doomed us all by doing that.
Fairly certain you're talking about Kefka. We all know which game. |

Glad it wasn't too bad this time (except for the evil song). Thought of it last night when GB had his free opening posted, and I hoped the insane clown villain would be easier than "girl who's only in your party 1/3 of the game". Yours Tritoch. |
Poem nothing. That's the Spongebob Theme. Genius.

I hate to pass off my turn, but I'm offering it up as a freebie to anyone who wants it. Even if I had someone in mind I'm about to go to bed and then be on the road all day tomorrow, so I wouldn't be able to respond.

I think what really got everyone angry was when I managed to freeze them in place. I mean, that'd make anyone mad, right? I tried to make it up to everyone by bringing everyone--no, everything--back, but I just managed to make it worse. I had to resurrect a few things, and in the end, even myself, but I think I pulled it off. I hope I did. More for her sake than mine.
(This should be simple) |
Hmmm, a lot of games come to my mind that sound like that, so I'm going to exhaust my first guess with Terranigma. Particularly with Ark unleashing Pandora's Box, resurrecting the world, wanting to meet with Elle again, etc. Don't think Will was particularly as valiant for Kara in Illusion of Gaia, and Soul Blazer didn't seem to be as fleshed out. That was a great trilogy, even if my guess is completely wrong.

oh god could this be Crono from Chrono Trigger?

Now these generals are after my friends and I. It would make much more sense if they came at us all together instead of one at a time. Why does one of these generals cry for us? They all have weird powers. |
Hmm... I don't know. Kalas from Baten Kaitos?
|
Jude from Wild Arms 4? It has been ages since I played any WA games (Alter Code F left a bit of a sour taste).
I forfeit my turn if it's correct. |
Peter would have to be correct! Thus, the turn is up for grabs.
Good guess though Kesubei. |
I was once a dedicated farmer, that took pride in my time that I spent on my farm. I even a big fan of vegetables since they make you healthy and strong. I'm an experienced warrior, who a lot of people respect. My team counts on me especially to take down larger enemies. I also watch over a friend of mine that suffered a great tragedy in her life.
It's probably really easy. |
Sounds like Largo from Valkyria Chronicles.

Stealing since it's been a month!
I have a crush on one of my male friends. Another one of them annoys me, but knows that I am a woman trapped in a man's body. Our trio's adventures were cut short when I supposedly met a chilly end. |
Makoto, Enchanted Arms.

Yes, yes. Reclaim your turn!
