Ok...let's start the suggestions for this soundtrack extravaganza full of Nintendo goodness!:p

The rules:
~Nominate 1st party music and music from games that are exclusive to Nintendo consoles.
(try to nominate as much 1st party Nintendo tracks as possible, because you need to keep in mind that there's also a "General Game Music" album being made by Kairyu)
~Try to nominate 1 song from each Nintendo console (NES, GB, SNES, GBA, N64, GC, NDS).
(if you can't come up with 1 for each console then just nominate another one for any of the other console's! Just be sure to keep your nominations diverse and not 7 songs from the same game!!)
~The maximum number of nominations are 7 songs!
(or less if you can't come up with 7)
~I would prefer if you would nominate original songs and no arranged Nintendo tunes, but if you feel that a certain arranged tune MUST be in there, then by all means....nominate it!!
~The following albums/games have been disqualified, since they were already used in the last incarnation of the GFF soundtrack!:

Not much of it. I ripped Red Alarm straight from an emulator, but I haven't released it because almost every single track clips like a motherfucker.

I want to say that I saw a VB rip on an FTP somewhere, and that it was Mario Clash. Although the fact that I didn't download it immediately when I saw it makes that seem a little dubious. :(

Galactic Pinball has a rip at virtual-boy.org. Colony's there.

Which track is this on the NSF set?
I'm listening to it right now and I think it's a rather good NES soundtrack....I especially love track 19, it's rather uplifting!:D

Well... cool. Red Alarm was the first VB game I ever played, and I REMEMBER liking the music, so seeing it in BIG BOLD TEXT was WIN.

If you're talking about the main theme that everyone (should) know (i.e., the one that was remixed in SSBM), it's Fever.

The game had one rerelease in the Final Fantasy Anthology for the PS (where it was bundled with FF5). I was hoping that wouldn't count. :(

Rereleases are ok. It's fine on here.

Then Chilled was the one I was looking for, I liked it better than the one in SSBM.

I don't know why we don't just make it compulsory for the Ouendan OST to be heard at birth.

Did this track appear in the game, or is it an OST-exclusive remix? I've never played the game, so I don't know. The word "mix" appearing in the title makes me wonder.

It's not like it would disqualify the track immediately ("if you feel that a certain arranged tune MUST be in there, then by all means....nominate it"), but I'm just curious.

It appears in the game. That is, if you turn it on.

There's a brief menu of "Original - Remix" settings which you can select, just before an option to remove subtitles and dialogue from the game(it is a shooting game, after all) appears.

Like every track hasn't been nominated already.

Seriously, I play other games besides Ouendan on my DS.

Galactic Pinball - Colony

Check Rimo's Western FTP; there's a rip of Iridion II there. There's no track called "Zantentsu Clough," though, so you'd have to check the tracks one by one to find what its alternative name is.

Oh... wow... I had no idea.

Hmm... the track I want is Cool Wave. I know it's in the arranged soundtrack, but that version sucks.

EDIT: So in the end, I'll stay with the Iridion II Arranged Soundtrack - Aniki.

I'm still wishy-washy on the Toki Tori track, but I uploaded the other three. The quality on the Red Alarm track ain't particularly hot in any way, but it's unfortunately the best it'll get unless someone has a Virtual Boy and Red Alarm laying around somewhere. Although I get the feeling the sound quality isn't what'll turn people away from it, because it's quite a demented little number. :(

Luigi's Mansion - End Credits

This song is so damn funky, one of the best Mario songs ever. I finished Luigi's Mansion 7 times just to hear it. I had others but they've mostly been mentioned, and obviously Super Mario Bros - Overworld 1 is an essential. Most of the Zelda and Metroid songs i'm thinking of don't sound as good on their own when they're outside the game.. so i'll forget those. Let's see...

Assuming it's not too late, and that it's okay to nominate blatantly nonobscure tracks everyone on the planet knows, my SNES pick is Searching for Friends from FF6.

If not, go with Revenge of MetaKnight Ending from Kirby Super Star. Didn't really want to go with three Kirby tracks, but it's good music and I don't want to wade through the 50 million other SPC sets I have. :(
