Weird dreams

I didn't know whether this should go here or in The Quiet Place. Feel free to move this around if need be. Anyway, I love dreaming at night. The concept behind them fascinates me and I enjoy discussing them. Especially because mine are always so screwed up. Not in a scary way, but in a "wow, that makes no sense" way. So, lets use this thread to discuss the fucked up dreams we've all had and love.

Last night, I dreamt that I was in Detroit. I was staying at someone's house (whom I don't know). I went out for a walk later in the day, and some spanish guy in a Boston Celtics jersey mugged me. After that, I ran back to the person's house where I was staying, and his mom made me a big bowl of really good pasta.

Yeah, my subconscience is totally fucked up. I've had weirder dreams than that, but I'll save them for later.

What kinda dreams have you all had?

Lizardcommando Mar 31, 2006 11:18 PM

I've got so many weird and fucked up dreams, it's not even funny. I've been keeping records of my dreams for about 2 years. I've got several dreams I'll talk about here. The first one I've had was from January:
Quote:

For some odd reason, I wished Lizardcommando would appear and help rid the world of terror. I don't know why I made a stupid wish like that, but I just did.

Anyways, my wish came true and with a white flash of light accompanied with the Doom teleporting sound, Lizardcommando appeared but then he shot up my house. The funny thing is that I didn't even give a shit. Armed with his trusty Colt .45's modified with laser sights and exploding hollowpoint bullets, dual MP5K's, an XM8, Sawed off double barrel shotgun, and a Katana, he looked like he could take on legions of insurgents, terrorists, gangsters, murderers, the BTk Killer, etc. He said he had some stuff to do and he wanted me come and watch how people should deal with psychos, so he teleported us to some really weird places.

First he teleports us in the one of the airplanes that crashed into the Twin Towers and etc. The terrorists spotted us, but they didn't stand a chance against the government-hired killer. With the Berzerk Sphere and a short sword, he chopped off their arms and lob the arms into their stomach, impaling them and then punched a hole through their skulls to finish them off. And then LC would pick up one of the Box Cutters and throws in that one douche bag's head (the one everyone always remembers, it was Mohamad Mokaba or something. Who cares.) Anyways, LC carves a target in his head and when the Mohamad guy's screaming bloody gibberish, LC smashes his ribs, impaling his vital organs and throws him off the plane and takes out a high powered Bolt Action Rifle (from nowhere!) and shoots him in the middle of the air (shoots him right in the craved up target) and he blows up into a mist of gold coins and everyone down below starts taking them thanking the Reptillian hero. Lizardcommando and me continues teleporting to the other airplanes and single-handedly kills off each and every one of the terrorists. I thought the day was over, but apparently Lizardcommando had other stuff to do, so we teleport again.

Now we're at Columbine, so he tells me he's going to show the Jefferson County SWAT Team how their job should be done. Lizardcommando snuck through the ventilation shafts and when saw the two dumbasses in view... BLAM! Shoots one of them in the head! And the guy's head explodes from the hollowpoint bullet filled with enough explosives to clean a baby elephant's head off! He jumps down below and while the other guy tries shooting LC down with a shitty TEC-9 and missing like crazy, he fills him with lead with his trusty MP5K's. The guy's in a pool of blood and LC tells the other people hiding to get the hell out and get paramedics to tend to the wounded. The guy tries to shoot the kids running away, but he gets his arm blown away and and then another bullet right between the eyes. I somehow end up inside that school and then Lizardcommando said there was a giant army filled with all of the scum-of-the-earth pricks and we teleport down to some giant hellish-looking floating platform which is right above Los Angeles where the giant army was being made.

I was floating in the air for some reason watching through a bunch of cameras when Lizardcommando went against the army of assholes. So many serial killers, insurgents, terrorists, psychopaths, religious nutcases, every jack ass imaginable charged at Lizardcommando. Jack the Ripper couldn't touch him! Hell no! LC cut the fucker in half and then kick his top half at Scott Peterson and then right before he tries killing his wife, Lizardcommando shoots off his legs with a sawed off double barrel shotgun and then stabs him in the temples with two bowie knives. The BTk killer dies even quicker than Jack the Ripper because LC grabs his head and slam it down into the ground and then equip himself with a Bezerk Sphere and smash his brains into nothing. The Son of Sam came out of the ground and tried shooting at me, but Lizardcommando jumped in front of the crazy psycho's line of fire and deflected the bullets. When the Son of Sam ran out of ammo, his arm blew up and a drill came out and started charging at LC, but LC dashed forward and punched right through his stomach and then ripped off the drill arm and smashed his skull in with the drill arm and turned it on and then all this blood and gibs flew everywhere, turning the Son of Sam into a pile rotten meat. Then these Iraqi insurgents and the Afghani and Iraqi cannibals who killed and mutilated and ate parts of those US soldiers two or three years ago tried to bite Lizardcommando, but BLAM! BLAM! His good ol' Colt .45's gibbed them into oblivion.

Then all of a sudden Osama jumped into the air and swung a giant axe, but he was riddled with bullets by LC's XM8 and then threw his mangled bullet ridden corpse into a stick, impaling him through the heart. Abu Zabu Marcofi had giant hammers on his hands and swung like a mad man, but Lizardcommand tripped him and and Abu Zabu Marcofi fell inside a giant meat grinder. Another swarm of jack asses teleported onto the floating platform and charged Lizardcommando! He was out of ammo and all he had was his Katana, but I throw Lizardcommando another Berzerk Sphere and he is now filled with even more rage! He charges the legion of evil beings and starts slicing, dicing, and slashing his way through them! The body parts and limbs and gibs fly all the way up to where I was!

Just when half of the army was being desimated and destroyed, I woke up and I had about 30 minutes to get from my home to my psychology class...
Thought that was fucked up? Here's another I had from February:

Quote:

I dreamt that I was watching 24 and when someone mentioned Walt Cummings's name, I heard two idiots giggling behind me. I turned around and I saw Peter and Chris Griffin! Chris was like "Haha. He said Cummings." And Peter was like "Cummings. Ehhehehehehe. (that was supposed to be his signature giggle)" I look back at the TV and everything turned into the Family Guy-style animation/artwork. I was really confused and when I looked back at Peter and Chris, the entire world turned into the Family Guy-style animation/artwork!
This was my most recent dream:

Quote:

For some reason I was in the Surreal Life. I don't really remember who the other people were. All I know is that there was a hippy dude with scraggly long blond hair, a fat guy, that Omarosa bitch and that Janice Dickenson bitch.

Anyways, we all arrive at my grandparents' house for some reason. I was getting out of the car and i see some large rocks flying at me so I duck and the windows of the car (which was a black SUV) had shattered. When i got up, Omarosa and that Janice bitch were cackling like whorish witches. I few minutes later I was walking to the backyard of my grandparents' house and more large rocks were thrown at me. One of them almost knocked me in the head and saw the two bitches laughing like stupid bitches so i just "Ok, fuck this. I don't even know why I'm here. I'm outta here. See ya." So I walk across my grandparents' backyard and the hippy guy said 'Yeah, I'm with ya man. Fuck this shit, man!" So we both head to the exit then all of a sudden I hear foot steps and I look back and Omarosa and that Janice bitch swung bats at my head and I woke up.
Has anyone ever had a dream where it felt so real that you reacted in real life? Like this one for example:

Quote:

I was in this party at night and there was a pool. I was swimming for a minute then there was some kind of commotion. I got out of the pool and everyone was staring at me for a few seconds. Then I see a bunch of jock/preppy looking guys yelling and pointing at me. I thoutght things were going to get out of hand so I run out the door and my legs felt really wobbly so I stumbled out. I was running through this courtyard and I run into a few people. There was this chick that looked a lot like Eliza Dushku, but I only had a short glance. I fall into a bush and I hid there. I see the jock guys running every in a frenzy, but two guys stayed in the area I was hiding. They looked real pissed off for some odd reason, then all of a sudden, a dalmation was barking and ran towards my direction. I stumbled out of the bush and one of the jock guys had a hunting rifle pointed at me. The one with the rifle told his buddy to call the other guys. So he ran off and I was still stumbling around because my legs were feeling like jelly and I was yelling at him "Don't use that rifle. Fight me like a man." So the jock guy threw the rifle away and he stands there. I yell out "Fight me!"
What happened after I woke up was that I actually shouted out "fight me!" so my brother and mom got startled and asked what that noise was and I had to tell them I was having a dream. Crazy, eh?

Atomic Duck Mar 31, 2006 11:32 PM

Last night I had a dream that I got transferred to the Home Depot up in Fairlawn, which was cool by me because in my dream that place was really a big castle with the world's largest aquarium, and the freeway was out so I had to hike through the back country which happened to be a beautiful rainforest giving way to mountains far in the distance. So I decided to explore the area since I had time to kill, and saw these giant (as in 20 feet tall) grass-hopper creatures. I decided to get closer and one of them looked at me and growled, so I hid behind a rock. Then I saw one of them start sniffing the air and they all started walking toward me, and I made a strange discovery - I could lift the strange grass-like plantlife up in sheets and hide underneath it, and did so as the grasshopper things came closer. But one of them found me and started eating me and then my alarm went off and I woke up =/

I had a dream that Michael Moore floated to the moon in a balloon and then he conqured the moon and whenever I look up towards the moon, I would see him dancing around, going crazy.

And at some point, his head exploded and he came back to life and live on as a mentally-handicapped person like Steven Hawking.

Had a dream about a Resident Evil style horror movie with Doom 3 graphics... it was one of those psychological movies where the scary part comes from not knowing when the horrors will appear... an empty desolate and possibly abandoned private airport was the last place I remember being in the dream, especially when I was alone inside a parking lot and I could only hear the occasional far-off echo of ... something lurking about. I may turn it into a story, as some of the best stories come from dreams.

A cooler dream I had recently is where I was playing volleyball in the air :D

Nehmi Apr 1, 2006 02:55 AM

I usually have dreams every night that I can remember. Sometimes they are extremely weird, other times they aren't. The strangest thing I've drempt though, has been fairly recently. In it, I drempt of some things that occured later on in the week. Of course it wasn't a direct dream of what happened, but all the symbols in the dream occured on that night later on.

I'm not quite sure what that means for the rest of the dreams I have, but I keep having strange ones constantly.

McCloud Apr 1, 2006 04:22 AM

I had a dream that I was laying on a water bed (just like the one my mom used to have before her house burned down), and an old friend of mine form high school, a girl (very attractive, but not really my type) was laying next to me. She rolled over, and was on top of me. For some reason, I kissed her stomach, and then I saw out of the corner of my eye my girlfriend (who's in Japan right now) performing oral sex on some guy. Which is really odd because she isn't the type to do that, with me, much less anyone. I jump off the bed and walk out the door, grazing her as I passed. Then I was outside in some sort of garden, and she confronted me, asking what my problem was. Which is obvious. Then she accused me of cheating on her, and explained that she only did it to make me jealous. For some reason, this makes sense to me, and I apologize and walk off. That's when I wake up, thinking "She really needs to come home. 'Cause damn, I'm desperate to see her if I'm seeing her in my BAD dreams."

Wall Feces Apr 1, 2006 12:28 PM

The most surreal dream I've ever had lasted a grand total of about 3 seconds. I was on an airplane, and it started to go down. Right before it hit the ground, I saw a bright white light envelope everything. I woke up out of breath and scared.

Hmm.

Stress Relieving Toothpaste for Ancient Japanese Cannon Operators?

Weird crap in a Guitar shop that turns into a pet shop and then some dogs escape so I go mad looking for them and then my brother pops up with a box of breakfast cereal and tells me "Don't worry, there's something else on the front of the breakfast cereal now?

There's more but I can't remember them just now.

I had this crazy ass dream once. I was riding on one of those tram things through some really narrow canyon. Then these young kids dressed in rags with mining equipment showed up out of nowhere on the canyon cliffs overlooking the tram that I was riding in. Then they started jumping off the cliffs onto the wire that the tram was traveling on but everytime one of them would hit the wire their bodies would explode in a grotesque fashion. SO I was just sitting on the tram looking at the kids thinking to myself "WTF are they doing that for?" Then everything went into a sort of weird "rewind" mode and they all jumped onto the wire again.

I've had dreams where I would go to school or work and wear no shoes or socks. I'm Bare footed. I wouldn't know until I'm there. When I realize it, I feel all embarass and all, but it was only a dream. I wonder why is that.

I just had a dream last night that I was in an MMORPG. I remember meeting my friends at this town square with this huge amphitheater with tons of people, of course dressed in weird yet dangerous lookin' clothes, and trying to reconfigure my spells. Then I went out monster huntin' and whatnot.

Then I returned to the amphitheater and chatted up a storm. Then I inserted some smilies and logged off...i mean, woke up.

As a child, after watching horror movies like Child's Play, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, the one with the killer puppets, and all that shit, I used to have dreams where these villains would be chasing me through the woods, and one night they actually got me and started killing me or something, I think it was along the lines of they chopped off one of my arms, but then at that moment, I was like, hey, this is my dream, so I grew my arm back and proceeded to kick the shit out of them. That was one of the better ones anyway, but I guess you would call those nightmares.

Tonight I had a conversation with my dead grandfather (it was a lucid dream). I asked him if he's in heaven now and he answered "No". Then I wanted to know if there's something in-between (heaven/earth/hell). He gave me a serious "Yes" and told me that's where he is now. I'd so want to know if it was really him...

It's strange. Although I never had a real connection to him (he's not even my real grandfather but that's how I called him) - I hardly spoke to him since I was somehow afraid of him - he and his wife are the people I dream most about.

Shortly after he died (three years ago) I dreamt of him. He told me I had to look after his wife now (she had the same disease as him - something that makes the person unable to breath enough).

This is my latest dream, fresh outta the furnace. I'd like to see comments on it! :)

I was in the street next to home.
From there, I called my personal airship to come - way cooler than any car!. The ship was ocean blue, with a rather Star Wars-esque style.
Then, when it was flying here for me (it was in autopilot mode), it was intercepted by two helicopters from the police, which reached the ship with a missile, so it crashed in a precipice near home.

I talked to the policemen, telling 'em that I got an airship license - they excused themselves for doing such a mess...
Then, I went with the two policemen to the crash site to inspect the damaged ship, and entered the broken airship with 'em.
Inside, the machinery wasn't actually the real ship! Instead, there was just a old printer-typewriter and two big, red buttons.
I told them that it had to be the security system - I pressed then the red buttons in a sequence, and the printer-typewriter began printing two copies of the crash status report. Suddenly, enormous loads of energy started surrounding the airship.
The policemen were surprised because of the ship's behavior. I told them that they shouldn't worry, since the ship was going to rebuild itself into its real form.
It then started floating...next was a extremely short snapshot of ourselves inside the real, rebuilt ship, and then ...end of the story. I awakened.

I have alot of anime dreams. Random anime characters popping up. Heck I even had a Yellow Submarine/Hellsing crossover dream where during Bulldog scene Alucard was chasing the Beatles rather then the 4 headed blue bulldog. Go figure.

I also have alot of dark dreams. But I kind of wish to forget them. I don't know why they're so dark. It's like one night I have a strange happy dream that makes no sence what so ever then the next I have a very dark and bloody dream that I don't know what they mean or what they're a metaphor for......

eriol33 Apr 6, 2006 01:37 PM

Lizardcommando incase of your dream, you might have experienced Lucid Dream, this is common state where we experience dream as if it's in real life. The problem is sometimes we couldn't differ whether it's real or not, even though there is strangest thing happenning, you would just go with the flow and hardly could control your body and consciousness. Strangely, even though we experience it like in real life, there is a big chance we will eventually forget the dream instantly.

I heard that if we could control our dream, that means we actually have used 100% of our brain, and it could helps us in real life... though I'm not really sure what will change.

Well I hardly remember my dream, so I don't have many story to tell about. maybe later...

Soldier Apr 6, 2006 06:01 PM

I have tons of odd dreams, some that I definetely won't be sharing, but also some I wouldn't mind posting about.

One recent dream I had was me in a Blockbuster, looking for a movie to rent. As I look around the video racks, a guy passes by me, who turns out was Kiefer Sutherland. I stop and turn around, and he's already facing me, nodding his head as if saying "Yep, it's me."

I smile and say (in a deep voice) "Agent Jack Bauerrrrrr!"

He smiles again, then briefly mentions that he was looking for a movie for his kids (I'm not sure if he actually has any). I ask for an autograph, and fumble around trying to find something for him to write on (paper, DVD cover, etc).

A pretty hilarious, but also cool dream. :edgarrock:

Yggdrasil Apr 6, 2006 06:11 PM

I've had some pretty random dreams, although sometimes I've had lucid dreams, so not all my dreams are so random. However I've had a few rather random ones. One time I was flying in a jet at very high altitudes to the point where the clouds were below me and the sky above was black'n green. I hear some voice come over the radio, I don't remember what it said but for some reason I just knew to pull up. So I start pulling up and before I know it I'm plunged underwater, still in my jet. I can also hear my friend's voice behind me, apparently I was flying two-seater, now although he was yelling at me I could see the words he was yelling in my field of vision. Anyways after this I don't remember anything anymore. My head must have put the episodes of Yukikaze, a VGcats comic strip, and my everyday interaction with my friends together.

eriol33 Apr 6, 2006 09:29 PM

I wonder if any you ever experienced dream like sora did in the beginning of Kingdom hearts. lol :P.

I think that affirmation has no solid scientific backup. How many studies are there which link lucid dreaming with brain activity on its different areas?

When I was younger, I used to have dreams that I was being killed, stabbed, falling off cliffs, and similar things. It was awful because some of those dreams where I was being stabbed, cut, etc., I woke up with this horrible pain where I was "cut" in the dream. With the dreams of falling off cliffs and buildings, sometimes I've actually fallen out of bed or have caught myself while lying in bed. I don't really have these kinds of dreams anymore.

splur Apr 8, 2006 01:24 PM

A couple nights ago I had a very peculiar dream. I won't go into what the dream was about, it's just one thing which has me thinking. Somewhat through the dream, I picked up a diary labelled "Osteric". At the time, I had no idea what that word meant, I thought it meant diary (like oration except in writing). In the diary was entries written in poetic form, the style you'd see some WWI soldier write to his wife in. It described a ship which was plagued, filled with the sick and hit by storms like hurricanes.

I thought nothing of it till I searched the word. Weirdly enough, I could actually read the text right off the diary "Osteric". I'm never able to see specifics in dreams, I can never read text or switch on lights, etc. But this one I could see clear as day. I did a search and the SS Osteric was a steamship which travelled from Spain/Portugal to Hawaii of 1500 immigrants where some disease spread. Here is the weird thing. I've never once heard of this ship, nor could I have. This ship is so vague it only gets a couple results in google (around 10, the rest are of people's last names Osteric). Coincidence?

EDIT: wrote dream instead of diary, opps.

eriol33 Apr 8, 2006 01:51 PM

Maybe you have read that word unconsciously, you know, sublimation. Things that are put into unconsciousness occasionaly got into the surface, especially when you're dreaming.

Or maybe you're reincarnation of one of these people who was put into that ship :p

I too like discussing dreams. They are fascinating.

I had a dream the other night that I met the girl of my dreams. I was completely in love with this girl in my dream. It made me feel like the happiest person in the world being around her.

I was at a museum with my friend, and a really good looking blonde girl came up to us and showed us around. We made good conversation with her, and I got the feeling that there was something there, and that we made a connection.

So in my dream I kept going back and visiting, and eventually, I had the balls to ask her out. I called her very often, which is so unlike me, and I had this feeling that I didn't want to lose her.

I had a similiar dream like that a week ago too. I was over a friend's house and his friend, who was a girl was over there as well. We were all watching TV together, when he got a call and had to run out for an hour or so. He said we could hang out there until he got back.

So I was left alone with his friend, and we talked for like an hour or so. Then she went into the kitchen and she nailed me with a wet rolled up paper towel.

So then I got one and nailed her with it too. Then she got a cup of water and threw it at me, and next thing you know I kissed her.

It was a very good dream.

I'll share some other dreams of mine later. I've had a lot of ones that just seemed so real.

Wall Feces Apr 10, 2006 11:53 AM

I often have recurring dreams involving plane crashes. I'm very scared of getting into a plane crash, and they seem to pop up every so often in my dreams. Just the other night I dreamt that a plane crashed in my hometown in the shopping district.

A few months back I dreamt a plane crashed into my friend Ryan's house, who lives 2 streets away from me.

Before that I dreamt a plane crashed into a stadium full of people, and it showed instant replays of the people getting maimed by the engines.

The first plane crash dream I can recall was this one I posted on the previous page-

The weirdest dream I've ever had was one without images... Let me try to explain.

Imagine yourself in an ocean, but on the depts. You are surrounded by fish, lots of fish that are swimming all around you. These fish collide with each other from time to time and when they do, a new fish is created so there are 3 fish swimming from the collission.

Well, that's what I dreamt... only that instead of fishes it was sound. It was a crazy dream where I felt surrounded by music. The music collided with each oher creating a new sound and the 2 previous sounds. I heard LOTS of sounds at the same time and I did not see anything. It was a pure acoustic dream (the only one I've had of this kind). It was awesome. :)

The Wise Vivi Apr 10, 2006 12:39 PM

I enjoy dreaming and I have had some pretty weird ones. I had one that repeated a few times in a couple of years that I entitled "Dark Night" It involved people having to contain themselves in a room or space and lay claim to it before the spirits and ghosts of the past came out and haunted the cntire area. I, however, was late coming back from a friends place and could not claim a place... I had to avoid and confront ghosts from the past and whatnot.... actually very creepy....

I usually don't dream, but when I do, something's always trying to kill me. It sucks. ;_;

I remember one particular dream that I kept waking up and falling back into. Those suck most of all. I was being chased through the woods by some kind of fucked up Jason monster. The hockey mask had a crazy skull mouth thing instead of the holes, and he'd always let out a scary wail like Leatherface in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And he ran too.

So I come out into this sort of clearing with almost strategically placed bushes everywhere and there's a run-down trailer that I run to. I hide in the bushes next to it and wait for Jason to give up and run off and I head into the trailer. Suddenly I'm with people that I've never seen before, but somehow I know them and I'm being led down a hallway by Baby (I think that's her name) from Devil's Rejects. We're all being led to their dungeon or basement where they keep people their gonna kill later. I pass Otis and he gives me a look and taunts me in his fucked up Otis way, then Baby joins in and I catch her off guard by punching her in the face and I run outside, leaving everyone behind.

At this point I wake up, going wtf, fall back asleep, and I'm back in the woods being chased by Jason. I come back to the trailer and hide in the bushes again, but this time I don't go in. When Jason leaves, I start sneaking around. I think I was trying to get the people I left behind out. I look in a window and Captain Spaulding is sitting in one of those fuzzy redneck chairs, without his clown makeup, watching TV. Suddenly I've got my CO2 powered airsoft gun, and I aim at his head. I guess I thought it would kill him or something. I pull the trigger, but my clip is empty, so I basically just alerted him to my location. He looks at me and scowls, then he calls Otis and Baby and grabs a shotgun, and I run off again and wake up.

There's another one I've been having lately with this older woman who's trying to kill me in my house, so I grab a letter opener and a pair of scissors to defend myself. For whatever reason, she stoops down a little and starts talking, so I stab her in the neck a few times with the scissors. Weird shit.

DragoonKain Apr 11, 2006 01:13 AM

I have a reoccuring dream that I get maybe once every 1-2 months, which is pretty often. I get it like maybe 10 times a year.

But I am back in high school, and one of the following things happens:

I am back in a Literature class that I took my senior year, and it was a very difficult class. I always stressed out over it, because I had very good grades, except for that class. Anyway, I always stressed out about going to class because I never did the work, because for whatever reason(my stupidity) I neglected that class for 2 quarters of the year, and got myself in hot water. So I had to work my ass off for the 2nd half of the year to get myself up to a respectable grade.

Well, in my HS dreams I am often back in that class, and he asks for homework, and I didn't do it. Then he calls on random people in the class to go up to the front and read their papers to the class. I am extremely nervous, and hoping he doesn't call on me.

My other dreams consist of different things from HS, and I get them all the time for whatever reason. Maybe it's because I hated HS, and it stressed me out, and I counted the days until I graduated since day one of freshman year.

kat Apr 11, 2006 01:57 AM

Once I had a dream I got shot in the back of the head. I was in an elevator and someone behind me shot me and as soon as I felt the bullet go through my brain, I woke up. I was a spy and got caught (it was a long dream)

Another time I dreamed a friend of mine was a surrogate parent for her parent's kid. Instead it was born prematurely and it was still a fetus but they kept on insisting it was ok. One of the grosser of my dreams, they kept cuddling the fetus and carried it around in a jar full of water.

I've had dreams where I'm hurt or dying before, but the one injury-related dream I have many times involve my teeth. For some reason I keep dreaming that my teeth are stuck together (as if glued or something). I try opening my mouth as hard as I can to pry it open. Eventually I suceed, but end up shattering all of my teeth, or prying them clean off my mouth. It's a freaky dream, especially since I can feel the pain (or imagine it). I always wake up in a hurry and check each and every tooth.

Aah what a painful dream. Good thing your teeth are always intact ;)

I had the strangest and scariest dream of my life last night. None of this sleep paralysis rubbish that always bothers me. I have never done drugs and never plan to, and I don't know what events in my day yesterday had influenced this, but I dreamt that I had $50.00 (yes only and exactly $50.00, complete with price tag) worth of Cocaine (or some other drug) in my possession.
Apparently I had bought this plastic bag of cocaine from some resort place and I thought: "Oh I really need $50 (I'm broke in real life) so I'd rather sell it to the store instead of just saying I found it and turning it in to the police station." The whole thing turned into a heist flick of some sort and I was running away with two older male accomplices like those you would see in an old flick. I was walking out of the downtown mall and I was so scared that the police were watching me. For some reason, there's a bunch of cops at each exit and I ran my fastest to cross the street when the light turned green. Then I was on a boat/inflatable raft near a university and then police were patrolling the seas. I kept thinking: "How am I going to sell this cocaine if I can't get to the store?" and at the same time I thought: "Um.....what kind of store buys cocaine? Why did I buy this in the first place?" I was so scared that if I ditched it anywhere they'd look up my fingerprints and trace it back to me. I also thought: "Does cocaine dissolve in water?", and "How am I going to get rid of the bag? They'll check the garbage." The boat in front of us capsized and suspicion was drawn to me. My accomplices were on other boats. These two tough guys had whips and then were trying to herd us somewhere. I end up in front of my old school and I wasn't worried about the cocaine anymore. but I lifted the boat that I was on and threw it at the guys and I don't remember the rest.

Pretty random huh?

I usually get the most fucked up dreams ever. I have no idea, but I enjoy them a whole lot. There was this one time I dreamt I was in the old Wild West, where I was a sheriff in some town, and I was in a gunfight with some stranger, and we fighting on top of a moving freight train, it was going well until suddenly this mysterious white glowing figure appears in the distance. I had no idea what to make of it, so I woke up then because it kinda freaked me out.

I just had a weird dream last night:
Quote:

So my parents and I were at Target and they wanted to get something (I don't remember what it was) and this chinese lady was being a total bitch by intentionally pushing us when she walked by. The first time she did it, I just shrugged it off, thinking she was having a bad day or something. But she kept coming back and pushing us. Her kid would also tag along and curse at us when he walks by. After the third time, I finally walk up to her and ask her "Why do you keep following us?! What's your fucking problem." She flips out and rips off my jacket and stomps on it, screaming obscenities. Security personell arrived and escorted her out of the building.

Half an hour later, we leave and head to our car. Before we could get to our car, the chinese lady pops out from behind on of the parked cars and starts chasing us. She was weilding a large kitchen knife and was yelling at us. My dad tells me and my mom to get inside the car. I jump in and lock the car. The chinese lady's boy jumps on my mom and tries to bite her head, but she throws him onto the ground and then my dad picks him up and then slams him into the cardoor.
That's when my dream ended. Call me crazy, but could the reason I had this dream have been the fact that i had chinese food last night?

I have a lot of crazy dreams, however I never have a dream about meeting a "dream guy" and such. My dreams involve killing things, or being chased by something, or some kind of Die Hard movie type dream. Last night was a pretty fucked up one, I dreamt I was at a pub I never go to but somehow I was in there and the interior was like my Nana and Grandad's 50th Wedding Anniversary party that I went to last week. Anyway the dream was playing like what was really happening and then some crazy fucked up alternate dimension where everyone at the party got slaughtered by some evil monster. Then I was trying to get home on the bus near my school and each bus kept like going the completely wrong route and I had to keep jumping off and catching a new one and none of them were going where they should've. So I just stressed out and decided to walk home but I was completely lost. Then I rang home to see if someone could give me a lift and then I woke up to the phone ringing. My dreams always seem to end with how i'm woken up.

I recently had a dream that my good friend Evan was on an adventure. I can't remember if I was watching the adventure unfold in the form of a movie or a video game, but I definitely watched him and helped him advance. I remember the last scene/level was him in an fast flowing river inside of a mountain, jumping from log to log trying to make it to the top. When he reached the top, I saw the words The End and woke up.

I think its the first time I've ever had a dream with a three-act structure.

I was at the mall with my 5th grade class and teacher playing frisbee while Peter Pan flew around at the top of the ceiling. Then he did his little sprinkling thing and turned everything blue. I stood and watched and the frisbee flew to my head and I got knocked out. When I woke up I reappeared 10 years later on my couch watching Hook on TV. (At that time I thought my dream was over)

Then Hook came out of the TV and I don't really remember the rest.
It was really odd.

My weirdest dream that I can remember was me on a motorcycle driving on a rainbow with all the clouds passing by . . . I was very young at the time. Oh wait . . . there was also another dream where my current gf killed me for some unknown reason. That one was always unsettling.

Although lately, I've been having a lot of dreams where I have to fight for my life . . . I think I've only won against my opponents once. Anyways, the one dream that comes to mind is the one where I'm against terrorists and I have a family. I'm in some large auditorium with my wife and my kid . . . Dunno if boy or girl but anyways these terrorists burst into the place. I pull off a few moves taking down some of the terrorists and try hustling my wife and kid out of the place. I turn around and there's a punch heading for my head and then I woke up.

Most of my dreams usually end up with my death, followed by my watching over the aftermath of my death. Usually I die attempting to save friends lives, or in reaction to the death of a friend/friends.

Usually, when I die, I know my dream is about 1/2 to 3/4 over. This point is also the most calming part of my dream. The only reason I can attribute to this is that I always want to know what happens next. Not necessarily the afterlife, but what happens after I (presumably) am gone? I don't know why my friends are always dying though.

The second category of my dreams are the ones relating to a girl. Its NEVER the same girl, and with only 1 or 2 exceptions ever, its never a girl I know. Its always some nameless beauty with a smile and a sense of humor that happens to work her way into my life, usually following me around and asking me a lot of questions (just random conversation really). In some of the dreams, I'll wake up to find the girl (who I still don't know) in my room when I wake up.

The rest of my dreams are warped versions of whatever video game I spent too much time playing that week.

I love dreaming, because even though my dreams can be categorised easily, they're always interesting and have some twist to them that makes each one magical.

You know what dreams are the worst? The ones that occur when you're half-awake, thus they feel more real to you.

This happened to me last night, while tossing and turning, unable to sleep. I had a mid-dream where the floor began to shake, and my TV (which faces my bed from the front) morphed into a giant cannon. The cannon was pointing right at me, and begun to charge up.

In a panic, I literally jumped out of my bed and dropped to the floor, covering my head. After a bit, I wised up and went back to sleep. Damn that was embarrasing. :edgartpg:

I once had a dream that I lived with the Gundam Wing boys. I think I was in a relationship with Hiro (sp? sorry), but somehow I got pregnant by Quatra. I think. It was a while ago.

About two nights ago, I had a dream that I was traveling with Kenshin Himura, but not in Japan, but modern day America. I remember being really afraid for him. That's what I get for reading manga right before bed!

Weird, complicated dreams are my specialty. I don't want to get into those, though. oO;

horseman85 Apr 15, 2006 11:03 AM

Ok, really weird dream . . . But I can't really describe it that well . . .

First I got a job as Coke dispenser . . . for soda, not drugs and then I got a job as a producer for short films . . . For some strange reason, the HQ for both jobs was at my old high school and when I come up to the main floor, I see my gf and various other ppl there. Kissed my gf and then I go to the gym and then I see the band and a whole bunch of random ppl that I know playing . . . And then I write stuff on the ground with a pink highlighter, And the principal is Skinner from the simpsons . . . and then it ends there.

Flying guys, flying. Next time you have a dream just jump off a cliff/building/mountain. Its incredible, especially when you're swooping around or drop through some clouds and free fall for a while.

On a side note, I'm always curious to the degree of control anyone else has in a dream? Can anyone else do whatever they want in a dream or does it just play out and you have no choice as to what happens?

Wall Feces Apr 16, 2006 12:03 AM

Well I don't think I have much control, but things around me affect the dream. One time, the smoke detector in my house went off, and I heard it in my dream and thought it was a car alarm going off.

I took a 2 1/2 hour nap this afternoon. In it, I dreamed that I was eating cold pizza, in my darkened kitchen, while the theme song from "Welcome Back Kotter" was mysteriously playing all around me.

I have no idea what the fuck that was all about, but it was sorta cool because that's a really catchy tune.

Funny you should mention that. The most recent dream I can remember (I usually forget them) involved me flying through/over downtown Los Angeles (keep in mind I've never actually been there) with paper wings. There was no flapping, just catching drafts and staying aloft. I ended up flying outside the city limits and lost my draft and couldn't figure out how I actually started doing it in the first place, so I just wandered around through the town to a specific area I was told NOT to go, and almost ended up getting killed by stepping inbetween warring gangs. I somehow ended up in a random building with an elementary school classmate I haven't seen for at least 8 years. This wasn't the first time I'd had a dream in that fantasy-constructed LA, I've had numerous dreams that have taken place there.

However, that brings up another question. Has anyone else had recurring dream locations? I've had dreams that took place in the same area before, like a modified version of a mall or a theme park or something like that. The events are always different, sometimes there's different people, too, but the location is the same.
