"Whats in your wallet"

Oh, good old Capital One commercials.

What happens to be in that mammoth-sized wallet of yours? Is it filled with billions of cards and receipts or whatever and the wallet itself is just preparing itself for an explosion that'll blow up Times Square?

Or

Do you a dinky-thin wallet with a few cards, a picture of your kiddies, and you don't store all your money in your wallet (while someone of us just store $6,000,000 in the bank, and only carry $60.

My wallet is quite big actually. Not because I have a lot of cards or anything, but just enough change to fill a small ball. I usually tend to use the most creditted coins ($1, $2) instead of giving the cashier 5 pennies, 5 dimes, 1 quarter, and 4 nickles. Its a big pain to go rummege down that hole anyway. Too much change!

knkwzrd Mar 27, 2006 07:50 PM

At any one time:

A bus pass, some I.D., and maybe $10.

"Dinky-thin" for me. Less to lose that way.

Stealth Mar 27, 2006 07:55 PM

2 Credit Cards, 1 Debit Card
$15
License

Best Buy Reward Zone card.

I have a small wallet with two debit cards, an under-21 state ID (I don't have a license yet), and anywhere from $5 to $20. It's a girl wallet that only really fits in a purse, though, and I only carry my purse when I'm buying something with my debit card or when I'm on my rag. I'd really like to get the kind of wallet that goes in the back pocket, but everyone I've pitched the idea to says that it would make me look like a dyke. Well, screw them, I'm buying one anyway once I save enough money. It's amazing how people choose looks over practicality.

I have in my wallet right now: A Capital one credit card (Starry Night Design), a Wachovia check card, a state ID card (no license yet), a ton of receipts from various places (gas station, Wal-Mart, Gamestop, Post Office, etc), a Smoothie King punch card, and my Wachovia account number card. I generally don't carry cash with me. Oh, and my staff badge from the Winter Blast christian retreat!

My wallet is fairly thick, and it's also real leather. It smells very nice.

b-hc.net|andrew Mar 27, 2006 08:10 PM

I have a very small wallet.. for me its:

3 pictures of my Girlfriend
4 movie store passes (one from each in town)

Medicare & hospital cards (pays off to be canadian.... just the only reason to)
Phone card to call my father whenever I feel the need to
my CPR & first aid certifacation card..
Bank Card ( GO TD Go)

The normal stuff like that.... Its small but it gets me around & its easy not to loose things: havent lost one thing yet so its a great rep for me!

Permit, High School ID, two different library cards, a $50 Gamestop Gift card, some receipts, $60 cash in 20s, a used ticket to a theme park, credit card, some random business cards, and an EB Gamers Edge card.

I have what any typical 24 year old would have in his wallet:

driver's license
debit card
my corporate expense Visa
my old college student ID {it saves me a buck at the movies WOW}
health insurance card
receipts from using my corporate expense card.

I generally don't carry cash.

CileGray Mar 27, 2006 10:03 PM

Let's see....

Car parts store membership discount card
Video rental-place membership card
2 hospital cards
Paypal debit card
Library card
Dental/medical insurance card
Eb Games membership card
2x Mastercards
SIN # card
Public medical insurance card
Debit card
185$ and some change...

and for you canadians, 12.85 $ Canadian tire money (basically a 'cash' back at a canadian big surface story, in cuts of 0.25$ 0.10$... etc)

It's pretty bloated, and I probably have an ass-cheek bigger than the other one since I'm always sitting on the thing.

Snowknight Mar 27, 2006 10:09 PM

In my wallet, I find...
My student ID
My library card
Various discount cards
Money
Reciepts

No, it's not very organized; the money is kind of... crumpled.

...Planeteer membership?

...Does this by any chance have anything to do with... Captain Planet?

and kids, remember, don't keep jimmy hats in leather wallets. leather wallets next to your skin get heated up, and latex starts to melt, becoming weaker.

Rockgamer Mar 27, 2006 10:11 PM

I never keep much in there. Let's see...

Driver's License
Social Security Card
School ID
Gamestop Card
Sam Goody Replay Rewards Card

The money usually varies, but other than that this is usually all what I have in there.

What's in my wallet? A capital one card. A bank card. Health cards. A few receipts. A 10 dollar bill. And a drivers license.

YeOldeButchere Mar 27, 2006 10:35 PM

I used to have $20 in coins in there until recently. I couldn't even close the damn thing. I wish that was because of, say, $100 bills instead. Alas.

Here's what I have:

- A few bills
- Old papers
- Debit card
- Credit card
- Library card
- Phone card
- School ID
- Another school ID
- Yet another school ID
- Health insurance card (I look like a convict on that one)
- Driver's license
- Coins

I guess I could weed out a few school IDs from there.

Kaiten Mar 27, 2006 10:47 PM

Arkhangelsk Mar 28, 2006 01:42 AM

I try to clean out my wallet ever so often, but at the moment it has:

my ATM/Debit card
my credit card (that is only for emergencies...)
my Borders rewards card (stupid stores...)
my UT ID, because it buys me food and gets me into my dorm building and gets me free rides on the bus.
my CA ID, because I'm not a Texan.
Random reciepts from ATM transactions and such.

Wow. I don't have much compared to the rest of you.

Shadow Drax Mar 28, 2006 05:04 AM

In mine, I've got

Drivers license
Debit card
Visa card
2 store cards (not the credit kind, the loyalty points type)
My staff discount card for my work
My Student ID, Union membership card, photocopy credit card
£30 cash
~£3 change

I try not to let it get out of hand. My bag on the other hand, is a complete disaster!

w3sp Mar 28, 2006 05:06 AM

Pass, Student Pass, a biro and money up to 10-20$

Infernal Monkey Mar 28, 2006 05:20 AM

Up until now, my wallet had stuff in it.

http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/187...ubbish29qm.jpg

Now it doesn't. I have nothing in my wallet.

Spoiler:
Counter-clockwise,

- Games Wizards 'GOLD CARD'. They shoved it into my world after one purchase, apparently if I spend seven hundred million dollars I'll obtain four points, which can be used to save half a percent off any game.

- Useless card with boring information.

- Train ticket from today (I'd better keep this forever)

- Bus ticket, also from today. Quite a day for profit in the public transport industry! "HERE'S MY DOLLAR SEVENTY" "Wow!"

- Proof of age card

- Dodgy health care card (it's made of cardboard)

- 'Blacktown Worker's Club' membership card. Hey. Cheap meals.

- A Sega Saturn battery. I've been carrying it around for about four years now. (??)

- TAFE student card

- Job Network shit information behind that

- BLOCKBUSTER. The only time I go there is when I have a voucher to rent something for free. Which isn't very often.

- Flybuys. Oh God only another billion points and I'll be able to hop on a plane for five minutes, then get shoved out.

- Medicare/Other Mystery

- THE ACTUAL WALLET. Such a brand.

- Fifty buck note, old creepy guy stares from it. A dollar forty in change. There's more money here than in my bank account. :(

I have carefully edited out parts which will be no use to anybody and you couldn't see anyway due to the very shitty photo quality. Phew!

magewarrior Mar 28, 2006 06:11 AM

What I have in my wallet at this current moment ...

- birth certificate
- health card
- and about $10 (canadian)

Schadenfreude Mar 28, 2006 06:47 AM

My wallet doesn't contain much of anything at all for the time being. Once/if I get some sort of vehicle licence and go off to uni and whatnot it's probably going to change. For now though, all I have in my wallet is some ID and RM45 (give or take a few RM) in bills + coins. That RM45 is all I have in terms of cash.

According to this, that would mean I only have US$12.

Of course, it's not that bad due to the fact that I still stay at home with my parents.

Dubble Mar 28, 2006 07:49 AM

16 dollars
Gas Card
My last college ID (which I dont wanna throw away)
Library Card
Kinko's Card
Drivers Liscence
Insurance Card
Calling Card
A Card for a free car wash down the street
Friends business card
ATM card

And outside of a few reciepts I need to store away thats it. :)

ComCrimson Mar 28, 2006 09:49 AM

I've got hardly anything in my wallet right now. It was full to the brim but now i only have:

£30 spending money (with 10p randomly in there)
Old cinema ticket
Halifax debit card
Really old Express Cash card
3 BTBA cards (British Ten Pin Bolwing Association)

I did have about £130 odd in there a while back and shit loads of reciepts, cards, vouchers, and cinema tickets, but i've had a clean out since then

Txitxan Mar 28, 2006 10:44 AM

My wallet is small, black... and has evrything but money xD Too many cinema tickets i think... lol, if i could buy with my receipts i would be rich LMAO

Relic Mar 28, 2006 11:35 AM

Let's see here...

$4 USD
Wells Fargo Gold Check Card (do they even make non-silver/gold/platinum cards anymore?)
1st Financial Bank credit card
Ironically enough, a CapitalOne credit card (I don't use it anymore, since the interest rate on it is nearly twice that of the other one)
University of Iowa student ID card
a library card for a city that I don't live in anymore. ^^
CD Warehouse punch card
UnitedHealthcare insurance card
EB Edge discount card (do they even take these anymore?)
Social Security card
Car insurance card
Dormitory rental card
and a punch card from some Mexican restaraunt that has a whole bunch of CD keys, order numbers, and other stuff scribbled down on it.

The actual wallet is black, ugly, and it's one of those three-fold things, so it's fat and uncomfortable even when it's not full of stuff. I really need to pick up a new one sometime. :\

Syndrome Mar 28, 2006 12:57 PM

Bank card (Deposit/Visa)
I.D
My gym I.D
Bus/Train Card
VIP Membership from a clothing store
Burger King coupons! (wtf, didn't know I had these. Thanks gff~)

I don't carry cash since I pay with my bank card. I usually have some change in my pocket though, in case of emergency (= craving for a soda or something).

Acro-nym Mar 28, 2006 05:31 PM

By wallet remains pretty empty. However, I feel that most people my age should have a fairly empty wallet. I always have a small amount of money in it, my insurance card, and my driving permit. At one time I had my library card in there, but since I don't use it often, I later misplaced it after taking it out one time. I had my social in there until I learned that that isn't a good idea.

iokcs Mar 29, 2006 06:46 AM

From top left to bottom right:

Mc Donald's Arch Card - which is pretty much used up.

Planet Zero Game Card - From Planet Zero in Houston, it's a rechargeable card to play the games there.

Drivers Liscense - Well, it is.

20 bux - USD, of course.

Blockbuster Card - To rent stuff.

Hibernia Bank Master Card/Debit Card - For the win.

UL Student I.D. - Ugly long hair.

Giga Lan Business Card - From Giga Lan Gaming Center in Houston off Westheimer Rd.

EmpyreanHorizon Mar 29, 2006 08:32 PM

Let's see...
I've got: business cards of people I don't even know
two discount cards (bookstore and Friday's/Outback/Italianni's)
my expired United Nations ID
picture of me, family, friends
Uni receipts
High School ID (for those stuck up security guards to look at when i go back to visit)
Membership cards
My driver's license
a piece of blue paper I can shove in the registrar's face if and when they won't allow me to graduate
some blood donation card
and money equivalent to about $80...

I keep the big bucks in my socks when i take public transportation. My friends have already experienced hold-ups or mugging on their way home from class. Apparently, it's my turn.

ArrowHead Mar 30, 2006 04:06 AM

My wallets tend to get fat to the point that they eventually tear apart.

Nowadays I periodically dump the business cards that have been collecting in my wallet. What do I do with them? I put them away in the boxes that my old wallets came in. :D

Anyway, my wallet currently contains:
No cash! :tpg:
Debit card
1 Visa credit card
School ID
Work ID
2 or 3 discount cards for different stores
Library card
Social insurance card
Medicare card
Bus tickets

T0X1Qu3 Mar 30, 2006 04:13 AM

In my wallet I have:

Picture ID
Drivers Permit
SSCard
Workers Permit (for 2 more months -_-)
Blockbuster Rewards Card
YCA I.D.
Safeway Card
Picture of a friend (dunno why)
2 Towers gift cards
1 Ross' gift card
78 cents
Medical Card
ASVAB test scores
my MINI resume @_@
random business cards

It gets worse then that on payday since I refuse to open up a bank account before I turn 18.
