Two Pic. Guessing Game (take2)

i remember this game being around before the collapse of the old gamingforce...was pretty fun.

Directions:
post two pics that together create a word or phrase. first person to guess the word or phrase gets to post another two pics. i'll get it going with a pretty easy one.

Funny antique.
I dunno lol. I get the feeling the second part might not be gun, but then again it should be an easy one :s

nuttyturnip Oct 17, 2007 10:43 PM

Capo might actually be correct on that one, since the gun is pointing at Ronald.

CryHavoc Oct 18, 2007 12:58 AM

Thats a Buck Rogers Ray Gun..!

Hmmm... McRay? Ronald Rogers?

brknredcrayon Oct 18, 2007 01:26 AM

umm..ok...hint#1

its a person.
cryhavov: you're on on the right track with ray gun.

..i'm going out of town for a few days. so if no one gets it by the time i must leave i'll leave the answer and someone else can start.

Dullenplain Oct 18, 2007 09:12 AM

Ronald Reagan

I'll pass this to someone else to make something to guess.

CryHavoc Oct 18, 2007 01:35 PM

I think Dullen got it, makes total sense.. I say you should post another 2 pics..

It's not "chateau", but you're close.

brknredcrayon Oct 30, 2007 12:56 PM

is the girl drew barrymore?

katchum Oct 30, 2007 01:06 PM

I think no.

Ah! Amoeba Oct 30, 2007 04:04 PM

They both look vaguely familiar, but I can't place a name on either.

My knowledge of 70's-ish era models/actresses is pretty slim; likewise is my ability to identify oil portraits of old white guys in ruffly shirts.

Oh dammit. This is why I passed the first time.

Another hint: the man was a U.S. President.

Okay, good. Keep guessing. BTW, what anime is your sig?

Summonmaster Nov 2, 2007 10:39 AM

katchum Nov 10, 2007 04:41 PM

Oh my... I'm just going to give the answer and let Summonmaster do the next one, you deserve it for guessing so many times.

Six Sigma.

knkwzrd Nov 10, 2007 04:59 PM

What the hell is Six Sigma?

Identity Crisis Nov 10, 2007 05:27 PM

Apparently some kind of registered trademark of Motorola.

Slash Nov 10, 2007 05:36 PM

Six Sigma = Six = how many times katchum should be kicked/punched in the face by each of us

CryHavoc Nov 10, 2007 05:37 PM

Katchum, i love your input to this thread and all, but dude, if it ain't anime, it's complex math. If it ain't math it's obscure unknown references.

Dude.. I mean..

Dude...

Summonmaster Nov 11, 2007 05:17 PM

Really? I thought six sigma was a sort of quality control measure like ISO 9000. Not that I would have guessed hehe.
Anyways, here's a fun one then:

http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9841/68697704tz2.jpghttp://img216.imageshack.us/img216/9885/42322537yx8.jpg

Slash Nov 11, 2007 05:46 PM

Okay for the weird answer

FLAMIN ASIAN!!! LoL

Summonmaster Nov 11, 2007 05:50 PM

Haha, funny guess, but unfortunately, part of the answer is incredibly specific.

Slash Nov 11, 2007 06:09 PM

Poison? lol

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Nov 11, 2007 06:23 PM

Slow shutter-speed east Asian family in a "cute" pose.

Is this specific enough?

Yeldarb Nov 11, 2007 09:55 PM

I'm going to be gay and say: flower child?

Wrong, right?

Ah! Amoeba Nov 11, 2007 10:19 PM

I thought of this too, but unfortunately I am too insecure about my sexuality to offer it up as an answer. So, instead I drove around town until I found a homeless person to beat to death with the concrete end of an uprooted tether ball pole, while imagining that he sleeps with men in the privacy of their homes.

Summonmaster Nov 11, 2007 11:39 PM

Oh my~ so effortlessly guessed (by Slash)!
It is poison indeed, since the first picture is "poi" and the second is just "son".

Ah! Amoeba Nov 11, 2007 11:42 PM

What is "poi"?

YO PITTSBURGH MIKE HERE Nov 11, 2007 11:45 PM

New Rule: Must use actual words.

Summonmaster Nov 11, 2007 11:52 PM

Poi is a form "dancercise" apparently. Google images explains best hehe.

Slash Nov 12, 2007 01:20 AM

Well, poi is actually something that the fire toys are as well. ((and its also a hawaiian food

But actually I was thinking poi and asian...or poi-asian = poison...shit..now I have to come up with something...I'll have it up sometime soon...just got off work

CryHavoc Nov 20, 2007 03:28 PM

Anyone plan on reviving this thread?

Edit: Looks like i'll have to do it. Be back in a few with a couple pics.

Summonmaster Nov 21, 2007 08:56 PM

wild guess:

red martini?

Summonmaster Nov 22, 2007 12:11 PM

Sorry, one of the words is truncated, and this one's easier than I'm pretending it is.

i am good at jokes Nov 28, 2007 01:06 PM

Is it Penguin?

knkwzrd Nov 28, 2007 01:09 PM

It's totally penguin. Seems so obvious now.

I was really thrown off by the red pen being circled.

Summonmaster Nov 28, 2007 07:40 PM

All right, yes! Rychord is correct.
The circle was to stop it from being dangerously obvious. Go ahead!

i am good at jokes Nov 28, 2007 08:04 PM

Here goes.
Attachment 22331Attachment 22333

Sure hope it isn't too obvious.

katchum Nov 29, 2007 10:32 AM

Slipknot

i am good at jokes Nov 29, 2007 05:22 PM

Nope. The first part of the is close, but not right on. The second part of the word is way of.

Oh, and it's two words. ;)

katchum Nov 29, 2007 06:59 PM

Trip Card

i am good at jokes Nov 29, 2007 07:14 PM

Nope. Getting colder.

blue Nov 30, 2007 03:06 AM

I can't figure it out, but apparently it translates (very) roughly to:
"do not forget that I will always be it for you"

Edit: skid row? *shrugs*

Slash Nov 30, 2007 03:10 AM

actually its there for you

whinehurst Nov 30, 2007 09:16 AM

Falling note?

katchum Nov 30, 2007 09:43 AM

Slide Message

i am good at jokes Nov 30, 2007 02:28 PM

Katchum, you're pretty close on this one. The message in the second image has nothing to do with it though, besides the language, which applies to the object I put it there for.

In other words, think of a french translation of something in that image.

whinehurst Nov 30, 2007 02:35 PM

i think i got it, but i don't want to steal it from Katchum
Spoiler:
Slide trombone

i am good at jokes Nov 30, 2007 02:38 PM

You got it whinehurst. I figured my last post would give it away. :p

whinehurst Nov 30, 2007 03:10 PM

i hope this isn't guessed as quickly as my last one:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2059/...2d31e5c5_o.jpg

it probably will be.

whinehurst Nov 30, 2007 03:50 PM

frayed knot.

i am good at jokes Dec 2, 2007 01:56 PM

Is it cold water?

katchum Dec 2, 2007 03:55 PM

1) cream, salve, itch, balsam
2) dam, fall, brook, barrier

Any combination of the above words.

whinehurst Dec 2, 2007 05:24 PM

katchum, you're reasonably close on #2.

hint: the key's the key.

i am good at jokes Dec 2, 2007 05:38 PM

Could it be firewall??

You know, because when you freeze a part of your body it feels like it's burning when the feeling starts to come back???

whinehurst Dec 3, 2007 01:02 PM

nope.

hint 2: the subject in the second picture can be opened.

Yeldarb Dec 3, 2007 03:40 PM

I'm going to guess that Brook could translate to BOOK. But I can't figure out the first one.

Ah! Amoeba Dec 3, 2007 03:48 PM

I am thinking it's gate, but now I am stuck trying to get the first image to go with that word.

katchum Dec 3, 2007 06:51 PM

Closed/sealed gate?
Shadowgate

whinehurst Dec 3, 2007 08:01 PM

you guys are off track with gate - but I would say it's synonymous with the word you're looking for.
hint 3: for the first pic, it's a lot more literal than you think.

Dullenplain Dec 3, 2007 09:16 PM

He's referring to the Num Lock key on a standard keyboard.

whinehurst Dec 3, 2007 10:20 PM

Dullenplain swooped in for the kill.

Yeldarb Dec 5, 2007 04:26 PM

Okay, just to get things rolling again I'll post something REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY easy.

S_K Dec 5, 2007 07:11 PM

survey says...

Spoiler:
drum roll

I'm not 100% sure since I don't know if the first picture is a drum, pot, or what?

Summonmaster Dec 5, 2007 07:43 PM

I'm going to chime in with barrel roll then.

S_K Dec 5, 2007 08:49 PM

Crap so close yet so far :( I'll be surprised if drum roll was the answer he wanted.

blue Dec 5, 2007 10:30 PM

Those sound like reasonable guesses, hmm (I'm awful at this game--I've been watching it, but I have have a clue of what to guess). All I'm thinking is that perhaps the second picture has something to do with the fact that the guy and his bike are shaped like an "S"?

katchum Dec 6, 2007 04:10 AM

All wrong!

Hint: one word.
First pic: It's more than just a barrel, what's in it? Also, it's Japanese.
Second pic: what kind of machine is that? How do you call such a machine used for transportation and sometimes tricks.

Don't make me make a list of 10 hints! Y'all know what I'm talking about, this is "Gaming"force isn't it?

whinehurst Dec 6, 2007 02:17 PM

it's sake in the barrel, and a dirt bike. I can't think of a resonable combination of these things, or their synonyms.

No. Hard Pass. Dec 6, 2007 02:26 PM

Oh, sake moto. Sakimoto. As in Hitoshi Sakimoto.

TWO WORDS. FIRST WORD:

I know exactly what it is, but I hate posting new ones, so I'll keep my mouth shut unless no one else can figure it out.

I know this too, and I'm keeping my silence on this as well.

josho Dec 13, 2007 12:40 PM

Maybe some hints are in order:
It's one word.
The first pic, you want to focus on what's most noticeable and try to piece it together from there.
The second pic, you want to focus on what doesn't have an X on it.

Summonmaster Dec 13, 2007 12:52 PM

Esquire. I don't know, that guess doesn't really fit either picture.

whinehurst Dec 13, 2007 01:49 PM

hijacking

"yes" in japanese = hai (or however you spell it)

jack + king = jacking

Some species of bird that I didn't know existed until now.

whinehurst Dec 13, 2007 04:14 PM

close, but...actually not. :P

pyrrhus Dec 14, 2007 03:15 AM

It won't be as simple as ladybird won't it?

whinehurst Dec 14, 2007 08:21 AM

nope.

hint: the gesture is insignificant.

Summonmaster Dec 14, 2007 10:21 PM

I'm going to go wild here with Daft Punk, maybe.

whinehurst Dec 15, 2007 03:04 PM

hint: two words.

also: the girls are wearing the...clues (for lack of a better term).

TheReverend Dec 15, 2007 05:51 PM

Herring. Like the fish?

Summonmaster Dec 15, 2007 09:05 PM

On that note, given the two-word clue, I'll say "Red Herring".
How clever!

whinehurst Dec 16, 2007 01:03 AM

we have a winner!

Summonmaster get's it, thought kudos to thereverend for the meat of the answer

2nd pic is a bit of brainstorming or maybe not.

Treasured Secret?

i am good at jokes Dec 17, 2007 03:03 PM

Summonmaster Dec 18, 2007 12:10 PM

Rychord's guess is very clever, but since it's not what I intended, it's only half correct! :o
Change the second half to make the two pics one word ;)

Summonmaster Dec 20, 2007 02:54 AM

Big hint, since interest seems to die quickly :S

It's a VERB!
