Recent Anime/Manga purchases
I thought I'd revive this one, since it's pretty general discussion.
I went to Super Dragon Toys in Brussel this week, and I found some manga that wasn't available in Leuven: -Fullmetal Alchemist 1-4: Although I've already read the manga in scanlations, but since it's os good I just had to have it in tanks. The release looks good overall, since I was a bit worried with Kurokawa being a new editor and all, and comments on the translation will have to wait until I've actually read it. Persona: 1-3I've recently become pretty interested in anything SMT-related, and I was pleasantly surprised that there was also a manga released. It's only three volumes, and it's supposed to retell the story of the first games, but I don't seem to recognize anything yet. Suikoden III 1-2: Being a huge fan of the series, I couldn't turn out the manga. the release looks gorgeous, but I'll wait with further comments until I actually read it. EDIT: Please be sure to put content and effort into your posts here. Don't just mention the name of your purchase, but rather elaborate on it. Where did you buy what you did? Why choose this very title? Any amusing stories to tell about this purchase? For reference, an example of a good post would be here. If you feel you don't have anything of that kind to share in your post, don't post at all. Posts not putting the effort in will be deleted as they serve absolutely no purpose. This thread will not be used just to up your postcount. |
Before the downtime i purchased Angel Sanctuary vol's 4,5,6 and 7 and last night i purchased the second volume of the Kingdom Hearts manga. Could not put down my AS books, read them all pretty much instantly. Now waiting on a few more to be released so i don't get to a point where i've got as many as have been translated.
|
Earlier this week I bought:
* Godchild #1 :: a complete and total surprise, since I didn't think it was going to be released for a while. Now they need to release Cain Saga, since it came out before Godchild... * Nodame Cantabile #4 :: the artwork isn't that hot, but the story is very cute and it centers around musicians in music school. How can I not like it? * Antique Bakery #2 :: it's Fumi Yoshinaga! That means the characters are well-developed, it's impeccably drawn, and there's a promise of guy-on-guy action waiting to be shown! |
O.O I AM BACK! AND HAVE MORE SHIT!!!!...well i didnt do near as bad as i have done in the past :)
I got .hack//Ai_Buster V2 thats IT!!!! tis amazing its been so long and i have bought so little... I plan on donating plasma here soon, and i get money for that, and with that money i will probly be getting gantz and chrno crusade boxes...I will have to donate like 5 times, but yeah :D |
Mangawise, today I picked up the newest volume of Negima (9) and the first of School Rumble.
Animewise, I bought Starship Operators DVD 2, Kaleido Star New Wings DVD 2 and Maburaho DVD 6 earlier this week, and I'm currently thinking about my next batch, with will include, among other things, Gankutsuou DVD 3 and My-HiME DVD 1 (w/ artbox =P). I also bought the Rozen Maiden Fanbook. |
DAMN YOU ENKIDU! I was gonna recreate my own thread. ; ;
Anywho, I've of course been keeping with my Flame of Recca manga series. I've also recently acquired the full Twelve Kingdoms anime and I must say, even though it's not a CLAMP work it could definitely tryout. But it's really good and anyone who's a fan of mythology should really pick this up. Animation's pretty top-notch, the voices are really well done and the story is absolutely superb. |
Here's what I've come away with in the past week. I don't have much spare time to watch Anime, so I've weened myself on to Manga.
Death Note Vol.4 -- I love this series, but I'm trying hard not to read scanlations of later volumes. Beck Vol.3 -- Ugly, but really awesome. Hikaru No Go Vol. 6 -- Can't live without my gimmicky, shota manga. Prince of Tennis Vol.12 -- See above. Genshiken Vol.4 -- I should really find the time to watch the Anime. This series is too hilarious. I'm missing a few, but those are the important ones to me :) |
I spent $600 in Animate in Akihabara during my trip. I bought 40 volumes of manga and 5 artbooks from there and other Bookoffs and Book Markets around the Kagoshima Prefecture along with figures, models, stationery, and other things.
I said I wasn't going to spend so much money. Do I have a problem? |
My order for the last Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex DVD of the first series came in a few days ago with an extra large 'Laughing Man' t-shirt which is totally awesome.
Finally being able to watch the end of the first series now lets me watch the second series with peace of mind. |

I bought this Tenjo Tenge bag a few weeks ago to replace my old messenger bag I use for school. It actually feels pretty cheap, but it's got Maya on the cover flap so I'm all  I've also been buying a crapload of Battle Angel: Last Order manga. I don't usually buy manga, but I'm really enjoying this one. I recommend it to anybody who's shown interest in the past Battle Angel volumes, or even those who thought Battle Angel sucked before. This "sequel" of sorts totally makes up for the rushed, piss-poor ending of the original series. |
k
Since the Gundam Astray mangas arent scanslated, I try to buy the whole series. Normal Astray is better than Astray R though. I wish Montreal has more anime figure stores, because I'd go bankrupt for those.
|
The last batch of DVDs that I received from Amazon.ca included Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig Vol.3 SE, Fullmetal Alchemist Vol.7 and Samurai Champloo Vol.7. As usual, I haven't watched any of this yet. I'm waiting to marathon it. Oh, they also sent me Cowboy Bebop Remix Vol.4, but no Vol.3 even though they were ordered together and I chose the option for them to ship simultaneously. Odd.
My Starship Operators DVDs are supposed to come in a big batch together when Vol.3 is released in May. |
I recently picked up I's Volume 6 - Bye Bye
It's a great series almost halfway through. Next volume is due sometime in May. |
Picked up Eyeshield 21 vols. 1-6 and I's vol. 1, the re-release (the size is larger, the print is better, the price is double). Eyeshield's getting really good now that the Shinryuuji Naga has finally come in.
|
I picked up Loveless vol. 1 and Beck vol. 1-3 only because I loved both series and we all know there's so much more to the storyline in the manga.
Also, since Borders has so graciously decided to carry (more explicit) yaoi titles, I picked up Kazusa Takashima's Wild Rock and Temari Matsumoto's Shinobu Kokoro. |
Has anyone heard of Special Duty Combat Unit Shinesman? I've read stellar reviews about it, but I was gonna gather some opinions on here before I bought it.
|
Got Dragon Quest Vol 13 and B't X Vol 10 last week.
http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/dragonquest13g.jpghttp://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/btx10g.jpg |
The last manga/anime I bought was technically it would be Nana Vol. 2 and Samurai Champloo Vol. 2 for my girlfriend, but for myself... lets see... Full Metal Alchemist Vol. 6, Rurouni Kenshin Vol. 24, RG Veda Vol. 4, and Fushigi Yugi Vol. 17 (I'm hoping it will end soon)...
The last anime I bought was... Argento Soma (good ol' Big Lots! heh), Brain Powered, and catching up with Sakura Wars TV (one volume to go), and Gundam SEED (Still need Vol. 2, 9, 10).... I also bough the first volume of Full Metal Panic, and really enjoyed it, so I traded it to Game Stop, since I want to get the whole series... and a boxset is the only way to really go financially. When will TokyoPop release more Slayers novels though? *shakes fist* |
I haven't had enough money to go on an anime buying spree (the discount bins were pretty horrible in selection for the past month or so), so I went ahead and yoinked all the Suikoden III manga.
|
ugh, i'm so behind on my manga ;_; my last spree found me with valkyrie profile volumes one and two, tenjou tenge volume seven, and nana volumes 10-13.
|
Bought volumes 2 and 3 of the ARIA manga. I would've bought volume 1 as well, but the only copy in the store looked like it had been left in the sun for too long -- the tops of the pages were all yellow. Nasty!
I would've also picked up Yotsuba&! Volume 3 but they didn't have it :( |
Hikaru no Go 20: It's not nearly as good as whe a certain character was still around, but it's still one of the most enjoably series I'm following. The characters are growing up, and with them we find out more and more about the professional Go world. I'm really sad that this series is ending in a few volumes.
20th Century Boys 19: What more can I say about this masterpiece. Some major revelations about certain characters here, and it looks like Urasawa will be wrapping up everything. Can't wait for Volume 20 (which also has the coolest manga cover I've ever seen). Samurai Deeper Kyo 25: Same old stuff as usual, but still almost embarassingly enjoyable. Looks like the 12 Sacred Generals will be defeated earlier than expected, but now Yukimura suddenly shows up again. |
Fullmetal Alchemist 1-3: The version with the nice silver/metallic covers ^___^ I love this series. The story of the manga goes further than the anime, and I just absolutely love the art style ^___^
One Piece 8: Still collecting this series slowly, even though I know it doesn't start getting good until ~Vol 12 :p Rurouni Kenshin 13: An classic series which I really enjoy ^__^ Also, I want to own the volume where the One Piece symbol makes a cameo appearance on a bomb in one obscure manga pane :p (Oda-sensei - manga-ka of One Piece - was an assistant on the Kenshin manga) Naruto 7: I think this is the last volume I'll buy of this series for a while. I love the series, but unfortunately I'm not too fond of the official english translation (e.g. "Kage Bunshin no Justsu" still sounds alot cooler than "Art of the Doppleganger" -___-; .... why did they have to change it, dammit!) GetBackers 10 & 11: And these volumes have nicely finished-off the Infinity Fortress saga ^___^ . This manga series is actually quite addictive, and it is the only series that I haven't read online before buying ;) I think I'll start collecting Bleach next, and possibly also the Dragonball & Dragonball Z series :p (just cos they're classics ^^; ) |
I've been keeping up with the CLAMP no Kiseki and just got vol 6. I'm doing it for the chess pieces. I could get the Jap versions since my primary purpose isn't the volumes, but oh well. ^^;;
|
I attacked the book store the othere day, looking for my Trigun 8, Suikoden III 9, Fullmetal Alchemist 6 and Novel 2 and was disapointed when they only had Trigun and FMA 6...but on a bright note, i did go accross the street to gamestop and find(i know its not anime but) A Bug's Life for 6.99 and the box for the 2nd StarWars Trillogy(ep 4-6) for 29.99 both where used, but buy used i mean, some one bout them at Walmart, made a copy of them, and then sold them to gamestop, so basily both are brand new :)
|
Finally managed to get out and grab Whisper of the Heart today. It's my favorite Ghibli film, unquestionably, and I'm so happy to have it on DVD. Grabbed the new release of Totoro too while I was at it. Next on my list is to start whittling away at SAC 2nd Gig.

Hmm, let's see.. my latest purchases? Well, I'm really getting into the Gamerz Heaven manga (although a friend of mine said it looked childish *shrugs*). I unfortunately haven't really purchased any anime recently, for I am poor and must rely on the kindness of strangers (aka: the kind souls who rip and torrent their anime). My most recent downloads were Yami no Matsuei (Descendants Of Darkness) in its entirety (only 13 episodes) and Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad (26 episodes). If I had money to spare, I'd totally be buying my anime, but the only anime I actually own in DVD form at the moment are the three volumes of FLCL.
|
King of Hell Volume 12 - I look forward to new releases of this all the time. Odd in that I prefer more serious series, but this is one of the few that straddles the line and doesn't get on my nerves.
Rebirth Volume 12 - I started slacking on this and have fallen behind. At first I didn't like the flashback story, but it grew on me. I wonder why more people don't read this. Death Note Volume 4 - I love this series so much, I have to resist the temptation to download later chapters to find out what happens later on. |
Today I checked for remains in Suncoast. Not much left there, but I was able to find a
"Ghost in the Shell Official Log 1" and the book is amazing! It comes with a Analysis/Interview DVD and looks cool. |
My most recent anime purchases this year have been very limited, though I intend to embellish more on my Trigun collection when I have a steady form of income.
Meanwhile, Gankutsuo: volume 1 & 2 are my two present anime purchases. It's a fairly new series, and as it comes out with more DVD's, I do want to finish it. I don't think I'll be making anymore anime purchases after that, unless they come out with a DVD collection of One Piece that isn't completely bastardized, because that is another series that I'm particularly interested in. And, for old times sake, I wouldn't mind getting some DBZ dvd's as well... And the first season of Pokemon, teehee. |
I finally got around to buying some DVDs I've been wanting for a while. First, I was finally able to find the Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Collection at a store, which is fucking awesome since I thought I was going to have to order it online. But lo and behold, the new Best Buy in town had it, and for only $58. Second, I finally got Gantz volume 10, which I could never find when I actually had any money. Now I can finally finish up this series, making it only the second series that I've managed to collect all the single volumes of (Gungrave being the first).
|
I finally got in my copy of Flame of Recca volume 17, manga of course. Another excellent read and provides the first few chapters of what I presume to be the last story arc.
|
I recently went out and bought Rurouni Kenshin: Volume 18, since I wanted to see what really happened after the Kyoto arc.
I was also thinking about picking up the Monster manga after watching the anime, but I decided against it, as I wanted to save the money to finish up Kenshin. |
Picked up four things today: Vampire Hunter D novels 2 and 3, and Rurouni Kenshin volumes 18 and 19. I'm trying to collect all the Vampire Hunter D novels (when they're released), even though I haven't read one yet (I know they'll be good, since the movies are). I got Kenshin in anticipation of getting the second season on DVD, which I hope to do soon. Just like elwe, I want to see what's really supposed to happen after the Kyoto arc. I was gonna get volume 20 as well, but decided to get hold off on it (and the rest of the volumes) for now.
|
Finally decided to order the 'Patlabor the Movie Limited Edition' for... well, a shitload of money. My wallet is hurting but I'm telling myself it'll be worth it when I have the sleek box and awesome books in my hands. Unless of course the box comes mashed or dented, in which case there will most likely be hell to pay.
Also got Totoro in the mail just now. Never seen it before (saved it for DVD) and with its reputation, I'm really looking forward to watching it soon. |
I had never heard of Chrono Crusade but during my search for animé wallpapers I came across some Chrono Crusade ones. I liked the art so when someone said on a forum about how they now have the entire series I figured I'd go pick up the first two volumes. I evidently got hooked enough to buy the third volume within a week of that. The story was picking up from there and I wanted the rest but considering my local Virgin Megastore only had up to volume 5 I got the rest at HMV, so that's all 7 volumes in the space of under 2 weeks.
Definitely goes down as my favourite animated series, though watching the extras it does go heavily into a few Catholic doctrines, some of which I'm at difference with, but what an ending! |
I just bought a ton of anime. I got G Gundam box sets 1, 2 and 4. I got the 8th MS Team box set, Gundam 0080 box set, My-Hime vol 1 and box, Scrapped Princess 5, Scrapped Princess 6, Eureka 7 vol. 1, Scryed box set, and Jubei-chan box set.
I think that's it. There was a sale, so I splurged. |
Sweet! Rei, you picked up a lot of my personal favorites. G Gundam, 8th MS Team, and Scryed. Good picks.
I'm enjoying what I'm seeing on Cartoon Network as far as Eureka 7 goes, so I can imagine I'll start buying it soon. |
Wait...there are people that like G Gundam?! :(
08th MS Team is amazing though. |
I finally caught up in whats being sold of Negima last week, I just got me volumes 8 and 9. Though im following the scans, which is about five volumes ahead, I still had the desire to keep up with the actual ones. Sides, reading it from a book is a lot better than from a screen!
The wait for the next official one begins~ I'm always eager for a new one! Well "new" one lol |

I had some time before classes and was in town to pick up some empty DVD+Rs, so I decided to pop in my manga store to check if they had Yubisaki Milk Tea. They had also restocked volumes 2 and 3 of Yotsuba, so I had to get those as well. From what little peek I took, Yubisaki seems to have remained "untouched", and Tokyopop's done a good enough job with it. I'll have to read it to properly assess this, but so far so good. Seeing this http://myy.helia.fi/~a0400729/Pics/IMG%20258.jpg proved both funny and sad :tpg: On one hand it's saddening that judging by the back blurb, they're presenting the series as some ultra raunchy tale of sexual deviants and horny women, when it's just about teenage sexuality and identity. Still, it's better that they do something like this, than censor the actual content in an effort to get a lower age rating. |

Karas and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children just arrived. Karas is going to be a great thing to watch when my exam is over tomorrow. I've already seen Advent Children, so I can put that off.
|
Since it's inevitable anyway, later today I'll be going to pick up a UMD and a DVD version of FInal Fantasy VII: Advent Children, as I pre-ordered both versions.
|
What. UMD. Why? The movies not even that good. I don't even know why I bought it.
|
The local awesome comic shop had a 25% off "manga melee" sale with bubble tea and people from TokyoPop. Nifty. I got some things that I had been wanting to catch up on:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/15...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg + 12 which I have no picture of. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/14...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg and http://images.amazon.com/images/P/14...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg http://images.amazon.com/images/P/15...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg. Yay! |
From 2 weeks ago during my trip to London:
Innocence: Ghost in the Shell 2 Visually stunning, but a little less philosphical banter would have been nice. I must have seen the intro sequence at least 10 times by now. This was the most recent anime I've actually seen in the cinema (which is pretty rare in Belgium). Innocence: Ghost in the Shell 2 - Music Video Anthology Milking the success of the franchise, a DVD with 7 music videos based on the CG artwork with Kenji Kawai's score. This wouldn't warrant much of a purchase except for the OST CD included. Recent manga I bought: Shaman King - Vol. 31 Penultimate volume to the manga. Takei tries to advance the story as much as he can without rushing, but this couldn't convince the readers apparently. Battle Royale - Vol. 11 After the watchtower tragedy, it's time to move on to the last remaining students. Martial expert Sugimura finds the girl (and stays alive in contrast to the movie :D ) and tries to protect her when maddog Kiriyama hunts them down. More characterisation to the students are definitely the best and most crucial difference to the movie. |
I finally got the Escaflowne TV series at Best buy the other day. I had been wanting it for a while, so when it was re released at 33 dollars, I had no choice :) I had seen the movie previously and it was pretty good, but so far the TV series is much better. Has anyone read the manga? Is it better or longer than the TV series, I am only on the 3rd disk of the series, but so far I love it.

Aw kinda dissapointing to hear when an anime is better than the manga. I remember loving S-Cry-ed then hearing the manga was utter crap lol. On a side note, watched Advent Children last night, that was some crazy fighting. The music was great too =)

|
Yesterday I ordered the Get Backers boxset and the Peace Maker Kurogane box. I hope PMK is good, and I already know Get Backers is. Anyone here seen and enjoyed PMK?
|
I just got Rurouni Kenshin, volumes 19-21. I still have to read 18, but I feel guilty reading a manga when I could be re-reading class texts. :p HAH! Don't get me wrong-- it's not that I can actually stand waiting. I'm going crazy.
|
Naruto Volume 1.
I wasn't planning on starting the manga for this one since I'm up to date with the anime. The manga came with a calendar and a box for the actual book. I might continue getting the rest of the volumes as they're released, but it's not high on my priority list. |
Psalms of Planet Eureka Seven Vol. 1 LE arrived two or three days ago. :) It came with a tshirt that I would actually wear in public, the DVD, OST1 (double disc) and vol.1 of the manga. This is a really great set. I gave the OST a quick listen and it was pretty good. Awesome stuff. I can't wait to watch the show.
|
I finally picked up the movie Perfect Blue today, after looking at it but never getting it for years. I finally seen for less than $30 (it was $20), so I had to get it this time. I also picked up Tokyo Babylon, since it seemed pretty cool and was only $10.
|
I've got volume five for Dream Gold~Knights in the Dark City~, volume 32 for Ah! My Goddess, and the collector's edition for the fourth episode of Tales of Phantasia waiting to be picked up at my cousin's place. While it's a hassle to go to their place to pick things up, it saves shipping costs and the likes for the both of us with combined orders through Amazon.
|
My boyfriend brought over his anime DVD hoard and combined it with mine so now it's uhh...kinda big. We're trying to complete some boxed sets.
Recent anime splurge included Elfen Lied 3, Chrno Crusade 5, FMA 6-8, and FMP Fumoffu 4. |
I haven't done much actual "purchasing" in the past month, but I did manage to pick up Fruits Basket vol. 13, Yubisaki Milk Tea vol. 1, and Yellow vol. 1 & 2. The latter is fantastic... if you're into yaoi, that is. Evidently, the people in my area must really enjoy it because it's hard as hell to find yaoi titles in stock lately. ...damn it all.
|
Quote:
And props (if I could) for Yubisaki Milk Tea goodness, let me know how you like it =D |
Naturally they're not going to carry mass volumes of yaoi titles. It's just a little disappointing how neglected the stock seems to be. I reckon a teeny, tiny sarcasm tag would have helped in that last post, as well. ^_^
Yubisaki Milk Tea was very, very good! I actually got the idea from your journal entry. Since I was going out to spend mass amounts of money on myself that day and the selections I was looking for weren't to be found, I decided to give it a shot. Shrink-wrap and a mature rating always doubly spark my interest. |
Quote:
I thought it would be kinda conceited of me to expect it was cause of my journal or the thread I made, so I didn't ask and assumed it was either the gender confusion or some mention of mine or all combined =P It was shrinkwrapped? Funny, mine wasn't. It's funny because I expected it to be. I remember when Negima appeared shrinkwrapped and I thought to myself "Why would a mainstream series with 12-14 year olds need to be shrinkwrapped like that O___________o" (and no, I don't read Negima), so I was sure something as scandalous as Yubisaki would be, but no. I guess it was just the store I went to, I've no idea if it's up to the store whether they keep the shrinkwrap or not. I'm glad you liked the first volume, it gets SO much better in the later chapters (not that I've gotten to read that far, naturally ._.) <3 |
Thanks to Q, I've ordered both Yubisaki Milk Tea volume 1 and Yotsuba&! volume 1. I bought YSMT because I want to find out what happens later on, and Yotsuba&! was so enjoyable that it certainly deserved my £££. I rarely make manga purchases because each volume is the same price as a book, but these two series certainly deserves to be bought. Also, it means I can share Yotsuba&! goodness with other people who are perhaps not into manga and convert them. \o/
|
Tonight I went into town and picked up I's Volume 7: Spank. Continually waiting 2-3 months between each release of I's and DearS can be difficult.
|
Well i finaly got a job, and that means, I WILL HAVE MONEY at some point in time 15/hour* ~60 hours a week = ALOT OF MONEY- taxes still = pretty good.(and no, i am earning this money the HARD WAY, so not mooching!)
Well, all i have picked up so fair is FMA vol 7 of the manga. but as soon as i get my 2nd paycheck(first one is going for Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama and Simpsons guna get them at 19.99 each!) i plan on picking up FMA novel V2-3, replacing afew of my bootlegs with legits, gettting the boxset of Gantz, and picking up my last dvd for WHR to complete the collection. Then, im probly guna start on the GitS stuff...oh, this is guna be a a full summer, very very full! |
Quote:
|
I picked up Girl Got Game because my friend kept bothering me about it. It's supposed to be about a girl who cross-dresses as a guy to play on the basketball team, and, of course, that leads to several strange but hilarious problems.
|
My recent order to Amazon for my manga fix was
Tsubasa Chronicles Vol 9, Getbackers Vol 11, and Cardcaptor Sakura: Master of the Clow Vol 6. I'm sure I'm gonna pick up some cool stuff this weekend at my convention. |
I finally got Genshiken vol 3 the other day. I somewhat feel like getting the whole Stand Alone 1 on the dvd but there is no point =/. or Not yet ^^:. As for Manga, D- Grayman is part of my manga library next to DN.

My wallet is empty. I wanted to get the GITS SAC1 Disk 7 (Tin) to complete the series, but they didn't have it, so I ended up grabbing Ah! My Goddess V5, Eureka Seven Disk1 (With box, t-shirt, first manga, and OST), Hare & Guu (With box), and a Bleach Hitsugaya Wall Scroll
http://static.zoovy.com/img/gkworld/-/ya37 What sucks is now I have to finish EVA Platinum, Ah! My Goddess, GITS, and these two new box sets....My wallet's burning like crazy. |
I just bought the third and fourth volumes of the Azumanga Daioh manga last night(after having purchased the first and second a week ago).
I am very disappointed that ADV decided to change "bonklers" to "numbnuts." Surely there could have been a better alternative. :( |
Eureka Seven Volume 1 special edition - I couldn't possibly pass this up, and I was low on funds to begin with. the box is pretty awesome, it's sorta opens like a container rather than be one of the usual boxes.
Rozen Maiden Vol 1 - I had to make a few trips to different book and anime stores but I eventually found it. alternatively, I could of just ordered it online, but I hate making an order and just getting one thing. Gundam SEED Astray R Vol 1 - It was free, the store I bought it at had a buy 1 get 1 free sale going on, so I got this. I was looking to buy the regular Astray actually, but they didn't have any in stock. But, this fills in some leftout story/plot from Astray, so it's all good. Blood Alone Vol 1 - Impulse purchase. I was really drawn to the artwork so I had to have it. I skimmed through the first few pages and love the art already. pretty excited to start reading it. |
Quote:
I managed to find a wall scroll with all the main characters from the "human world," but it was pretty plain. They were all in their Shinigami outfits, and the background was white. It was a waste of $15, but whatever. I had also wanted to pick up a Bleach calendar, simply for the awesome art and outfits, but I make it a rule not to spend more than $5 on a calendar, regardless of its level of awesomeness. :p |
I finally bought Akira on DVD. I already own it on VHS, but I'm trying to upgrade all the titles that I care about on VHS to DVD. Because no one watches videostapes anymore.
|
Planning to buy these tonight:
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...V50358894_.jpg Involves a violinist and music stuff. So I must buy. Only 7 volumes for the whole series. http://ec3.images-amazon.com/images/...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Yeah, another music-related series -- but this one is yaoi. Lots of yaoi that's music-related. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/15...V66228877_.jpg Asami Tojou has really nice artwork, and the series is only 2 volumes. I value series that are short and self-contained, because I don't want to devote a few years to one series (aside from Violinist of Hameln. Absolutely the only thing I collect that's over 20 volumes). |
Conage stuff = way too much! :x...me being the cheap ass that i am only gets it at a discount :-p but anyway, for what i was going to post. I got, The Notenki Memoirs(Eva stuff) the next 2 vols in FMA book. But on a non anime or related not, i now have all 4 seasons of family guy, first season of american dad and the first 5 seasons of the simpsons and first 4 seasons of 24 on legit dvds now...i have some watching to do!...see yall in a month or so :p

I made a small (pricey) raid to my friendly Bestbuy/B&N 259 locations the other day, but i picked up some good shit!
First off all, i got the Escaflowne Box set and the starter for Eureka 7 at Best buy (29.99+39.99+tax(9%)) ~$80 T_T...that finaly got me a legit copy of Esca, and the Box, T-shirt, Manga, DVD, and OST for E7. Then i went over to B&N and Picked up my finaly copy of Scrapped Princess manga...which kinda depressed me, because it wasn not near as good as the series and had points that they brought up earlyer and could have played more off of, but didnt...but not a waist of time...Anime>Manga in the case...but not bad. (Sorry walking ad for BONES here(loved everything they have put out that i haveseen to date ^^;;) o.o;; double posts???...there at one point was a post between here...other wise i wouldnt have posted :x |
Hit the jackpot in a coastal used book store...
http://www.moviefans.de/a-z/p/parasy...syte-manga.jpg (+ 11 more) they had the complete series for half off! So...entire thing for about $78. It's 12 volumes, and was one of the first series that I read (in the store) when I started getting into manga. That and it's simply a wonderful story; I wish that they would just up and make the movie based on it. I'm convinced it would be very good. |
Dramacon (Manga) by Svetlana Chmakova
I read a brief summary about this on Amazon a few months ago and the story was intriguing. After visiting Borders today, I found one copy on the bottom shelf in a corner by accident. I should note that this particular title isn't created by a Japanese artist. Instead, Chmakova's art resembles shoujo manga without looking as if she tried to imitate the art directly. The main female character still has large eyes and there are still super deformed poses throughout the story though. I plan to continue reading this one since the story takes place at an anime convention, and the humor is interesting. The comedy involves the main character's lack of knowledge at the con and the drama that she experiences later. |
/me was bad again :x
Well, today i found that the gamestop near me(houston tx, 1960@249) is selling new anime fore 5-10 a dvd(and box starters are like 12-15) but they where having a special by 3 for 10 of the $5 dvds, so i couldnt resiste... And i got The last dvd for WHR finaly filling that box up! Sin special edition dvd, and Millinnium Actress because i didnt have enough money to buy any more than 1 set, but they had all of Scryed and Rune Soldier and i think they had all of a few others, and at that price i dont care about the box, :p I also picked up the Best of FMA soundtrack :) the new .hack//infection Novel that follows the game i think, and the FMA profiles book. I have on order at Waldon Samurai Champloo V2 and Evangelion: Angelic Days V1. on another note none anime but still awsome. i picked up The first 3 dvds of Avatar: The Last Air Bender (walmart $28!) and the first 2 seaons of Futurama for $20 each at walmart as well. Thne at another gamestop i found Malcom in the Middle first season on dvd, and picked that up. Also i will be picking you Dark Angle from The gamestop i went by today for $45 for both seasons......i have way too much money to be blowing on this stuff. thats why in ill be capping it very very shortly! i think ;p |

Shaman King Vol. 32 (French Edition) with free Shitajiki :eyebrow: : I could rant forever about the final volume of Shaman King, especially about: - the "ending" that's not an ending.. - the tons of questions that are still open, despite the epilogue chapters. - the lack of action even though it's mostly fight scenes.. - the lame pieces of plastic that are Shitajikis. The Shaman King manga could have been one of the greats, maybe, if it was allowed to play it out untill its true ending. Now, it only ends with a whimper, with only a fool's hope that it may see the light again, some day. |
I just purchased the Fate/Stay Night Part 1 boxset -- www.discountanimedvd.com is having it as a pre-order sale for only $18. It's only in Japanese audio with English subtitles, but I'm so eager to watch it that I decided I'll buy the dubbed edition when it comes out.
Thankfully, I know I can trust Geneon to work with one of the better VA companies, like Ocean. |
While Deep Discount DVDs were having their 20% off sale, I was able to pick up the limited editions of Scrapped Princess Vol. 3 and 4... too bad 5 and 6 were out of stock... I watched it all fansubbed.. but I'm slowly getting the DVDs...
I also picked up Rurouni Kenshin Vol. 28... it was really good... a much better ending to the series when compared to the anime's drug-controlled-dogs, bees, Germans, and Zombie-Kenshin. |

I found this GitS novel called Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex: The Lost Memory at Barnes & Noble. I had never heard of it, but since I like GitS and it was cheap (only $9), I decided to go ahead and get it. It seems pretty interesting, and it will give me my GitS fix now that 2nd Gig is done airing on Adult Swim.
|
I was able to snag I's Volume 8: Magic Charm on the first day of my vacation. It was nice reading it on the beach because the volume itself had a oceanside setting as well.

Recently bought Kamichu! Vol.1 with the box, a seriously beautiful package. Though some of the pencilboards and the wallscroll included was quite a bit too loli for me so I'll keep that one unopened and stash it away somewhere. |

Well, I had a friend ask me for Miyazaki, so I couldn't just settle for giving her a copy of Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. I'm now the proud owner of Howl's Moving Castle (I saw it a few months ago) and Castle in the Sky. While I was at Best Buy, I also snagged the 3rd Hare+Guu DVD to add to my box set (Its full of Chest Hair!).
Last week I FINALLY finished my GitS set by purchasing the tin that has disk 7 and a cute white T-shirt. Now awaiting the release of the last Ah! My Goddess DVD to finish that awesome box set! |
forgot to update last week i picked up xxxholic vol 4 (godly series and the only clamp series i will finish till the end)
http://www.hillcity-comics.com/graph..._novel4206.jpg also blame! vol 1 urg.. i didn't like this at all in fact im selling it for 5bucks (plus s+h of course on amazon lawl) http://www.animefringe.com/magazine/...t/ms-blame.jpg |

Picked up the Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory Complete Collection tonight. A local store just started selling anime box sets for 20 bucks which other stores usually charge at least 50. Got a great deal. :)
|
Man, only 2 posts since my last purchase. I better stop. Well, Miyazaki films appear to be lower in price and so I grabbed "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Whisper of the Heart" to make 5 of his films now proudly on my shelves. I also snagged the first volume of the "Love Hina" Manga. Narusegawa is my favorite!

I need that collection ;_;.. I owned them on vhs (not recorded, the real deal =] ). But i need that boxset. Also. I purchased Death Note vol 6 and adding a new manga to my collection (which is only Death Note ;p ) ,D.Gray-man vol 1. The second volume comes out August. |
I went on a rampage and bought the following:
Death Note Vol. 1 - 6 Awesome of course. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Release Vol. 7, quick! Inuyasha Vol. 19 - 26 Fun, easy read. Miroku and Sango make it all that much better. Ranma 1/2 Vol. 32 Hilarious, as always! The stories seem to get more bizarre as the series advances, but they're still funny. Monster Vol. 1 & 2 Oh my God, so wonderful. Poor Tenma. Must have all 18 volumes as soon as possible. Naruto Vol. 9 & 10 I enjoy reading the manga better than watching the anime, actually. Some were from Chapters in Ancaster, and the rest were from the Chapters in Toronto. Why Chapters? Because I wanted to put my membership to good use, I guess. I can't calculate how much I spent, but I know I won't be buying anything else for a looooooooooooooong time. |
Went out tonight and picked up the DearS - Volume 7. I also went and preordered the last of the series' manga (Volume 8) as well. I'll have to wait until November to get it though. :(
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...rS-Volume7.jpg |
Well... i did just finaly picked up my Samuria Champloo V2 and my NGE - Angelic Days V1 and FMA V8...but then i brought my car into the shop to get an oil change and well they found a big problem...and that part they need to buy costs like $500!!!!! and that along with all the other stuff that i need to get done to it will cost me $1500!!! T_T well it looks like i wont be posting in this thread for a while....this sucks...
FYI the guy is my neighbor so i know he isnt just charging me out the ass for nothing... but still. $1500! youd think hed give a yough guy a break T_T |
This makes me sort of glad I don't own a car.
.... or not. -_- Just bought the Berserk complete DVD box set. Never watched it beforehand, but I have to say it is a bit over-rated. I'm one to prefer the manga over the anime, as the anime feels kinda watered down in comparison, and I'm not too impressed with the soundtrack either. *Patiently waits for volume 31* |
COMPLETE!
I now have my hands on the final DVD for the Ah! My Goddess DVD set and I'm loading Belldandy's hot sweet ass into my DVD player as we speak. Hot, hot, hot, sweet Belldandy (Shortly behind Misato and Narusegawa). Also on pre-order are Hare+Guu disks 4 and 5 (I ran out of monies to finish the pre-orders). |

I bought too much manga this past week!
I went to BN.com and bought One Piece 1-3. I remembered reading this manga in Shonen Jump a while back and really enjoying it, so I decided to buy it. The Buggy the Clown book seemed a little confused to me, but overall, it's a good manga. Also, on Sunday, I bought Ruruoni Kenshin 14-16. I've been collecting this one since my husband bought me the first two books for Christmas '05. The translations seemed a little awkward to me, but again, it's a good series overall. I don't know which manga I want to collect next. I want to finish Utena, but I cannot find books 2 and 3. The BN website has several editions listed, so it's hard to find the edition I want. I would also like to finish Magic Knights Rayearth. =) Any suggestions? |
heh i finally bought a bunch of manga
this week:: http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/c...0345477903.jpg xxxholic vol 6 (one more and im finally caught up with the U.S releases) http://www.incognitocomics.co.uk/cac...LLS_823001.JPG Battle Royale vol 7 (damn good manga just 8 more to go) http://www.hillcity-comics.com/graph..._novel6191.jpg tsukuyomii:MoonPhase vol 2 (first vol was ultra cute so i had to pick up the next vol) http://www.theempire.com.au/images/2...Volume%206.jpg Boys Be vol 6 (i can't get enough of this manga just took awhile to actually pick up another vol of it) http://viz.studiostore.com/images/p/VVV/pdGNVVV0110.jpg GodChild vol 1 (eh somebody was talking about it at a get together i went to plus the art is sexy) http://manga.chuxs.com/tapas/1/vol1.jpg D.Gray.Man (i ask all of y'all to get this manga its not mind blowing or anything its just cool) i forgot to update actually for these so i just name them Yotsuba vol 2/3 was bored and i re-organized my entire collection..took a hour but it looks better  |
I counted my manga recently.
197 volumes (English + Japanese; Japanese majority), and around 20 serialization magazines (Japanese), 3 serialization magazines (English), and about the same numbers for Japanese and English animation magazines. I'll edit this when I get home to actually recount that shit. |
Best Buy now carries the Excel Saga in a slimpack, $38. Since I have yet to see the very sexy regular box set, I had to settle for this. :D 7 complete sets! YAY!
|
Hrm...well, recently went on a bit of a spending spree.
Bought some Inu Yasha DVDs and the fourth Inu Yasha movie, but that's it for anime. Tried to get Chun Rhang Yhur Jhun volume 1, but it's "temporarily out of stock" so I passed on it in order to get the rest of that order shipped, which includes Warcraft vol. 2, Flame of Recca 19 and Chronicles of the Cursed Sword vol 1. |
Same here . I wanted to buy just D.Grayman vol 2 until i found Shonan Junai Gumi vol 1 and Air Gear v1. Good thing Del Rey licensed the manga. Otherwise there wouldn't be any color pages (For AG that is).
|
Just bought the Zeta Gundam limited edition 10 disc set with pencil sharpeners and posters. $74 brand new factory sealed on ebay too. Happy birthday to me =P
|
went overboard with manga shopping again heh
bought online Lupin III vol 9/10 (so close yet so far away.. 4 more vols till finish) the ring manga vol 1/2/3 (2 more and i finished the series) at the comic bookstore D.Gray Man vol 2 (damn good series can't wait for the anime in october) Battle Royale vol 8/9 ( it just gets more fuck up by the minute) XxX:Holic vol 7 (im caught up fuck yes) Galaxy Angel Beta Vol 2 (its actually the best vol out of the series) 100 dollars worth of manga i really should back away from this shit but i just can't  |
I was supposed to pick up the new volume of Yubisaki Milk Tea but instead of going directly to Fantasiapelit to buy it, I decided to turn around and walk to the other side of town to visit Good Fellows and Fennica Comics since I haven't been to either for ages.
Good Fellows, usually the most expensive of the three stores, had a window sale, and I managed to pick up both volumes of Heartbroken Angels for €4 each. Always wanted to buy them, but they're hardcover too, and have always been a tad pricy. Read the first volume on the train home and was trying to contain my laughter. Really funny stuff <3 Anyway, besides that, Good Fellows was selling all Tokyopop graphic novels for €10 (usually $9.99 books are €12 here), so I ended up buying the whole series of Peach Girl - Change of Heart. Well, almost the whole series since they didn't have vol. 2, so I picked that up from Fantasiapelit along with Yubisaki Vol. 2 (which Good Fellows didn't have yet). http://staff.gamingforce.com/qwarky/IMG434.jpg All in all, not cheap, but I did save around 25-35 euro considering Heartbroken Angels was so cheap and I've always wanted to get them. |
I'll be nice to the 56k losers. This was from today's raid of the bookstores. Copied and pasted from journal but postcount +1 so whatever.

I've got the same problem for some of my stuff. My shelves are well....unworthy of storing my DVDs and my few manga that I have. Considering the shitmess my room is, I doubt I can fit any more storage in here to preserve the anime goodness.
|
No camera, so unfortunately no pix! In the last couple of weeks I've bought more manga than I have the entire year, so... yay for the manga industry I guess. Oh fandom, you make me poor.
Puchased: Full Moon O Sagashite Volumes 1-6 (v7 coming out in a few months) Yotsuba&! Volume 3 (finally) ARIA Volume 1 (FINALLY A STORE THAT HAD IT WOOOOOOOO) There were some other series that I saw that I might like to own (Voices of a Distant Star, High School Girls, Someday's Dreamers... I found a well-stocked store for once) but alas, only so much money. For now I'll just be content with my mass of shoujo stuff. |
I just got my Yoshitoshi ABe Lain Illustrations "Rebuild an Omnipresence in the Wired" in the mail a few days ago from Overstock. For anyone that likes ABe's artwork, this new US version is definitely worth it. (Thank you, DMP.)
|
Just bought this in a quickie anime spree:
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Yes, it's YAAAAOI. And it's quite graphic. I actually have the scanlation of this, but I prefer having the actual book. They're releasing all the stuff that I have scanlated, and I can't help but want to replace it all! Man. |
|
So I got my second bookshelf today, this excites me a lot. I put it together and rearranged two parts of my room, although I'm not quite done cleaning.
Room Pics:
Purchases for today are the following. I already put them on my shelf so no pictures this time. BLEACH 14-18 ($5.66/ea) Fullmetal Alchemist Animanga 3 & 4 [Special Edition w/ Jigsaw puzzles] ($9.50/ea) One Piece 15 ($3.00) Yotsubato! 1 ($5.00) Erementar Gerad 7 ($1.00) Fullmetal Alchemist 14 Special Edition w/ Rough Sketch Gallery ($8.00) Exchanged Soul Eater 4 for Soul Eater 6 Quote:

Went over to my local video stores for once today, intending to find out how much it would cost me to order the third Patlabor TV series boxset through them. Turns out it's actually not going to cost me that much since the boxes have gotten a lot cheaper everywhere, so order placed, I should be able to pick up mine in a few weeks.
The store also had an aussie Haibane Renmei box, which looked wonderful, but it cost a ridiculous €80, which is way too steep for any 13 episode series for me, as much as I adore HR ;_; So I stopped by another video store near there and ended up buying Akira on DVD for €7.90. I've always loved the film, but like Ghost in the Shell, getting it on DVD has been a long and perilous task. http://staff.gamingforce.com/qwarky/IMG435.jpg They've been selling a "special Ultimate super mega pack" version of the movie for ages, but I haven't felt like paying €32 for a box that has a 16:9 widescreen version of the movie on one disc, with japanese and english audio, and then a 4:3, dub-only version of the film on another disc =/ This "no extras" version has been going around at an equally ridiculous €19.90 in every regular store, so I'm quite pleased for getting it for under 8 euro. I love how the sticker on the wrapper enthusiastically speaks of an exclusive bonus DVD included, which is basically a second disc with simply 60 minutes of Manga Entertainment trailers =x |
whoo i finished off two series since the last time i posted in this thread
galaxy angel beta vol 3 (compelete) Lupin III vol 10/11/12/13/14/15 (compelete) also there is the ones i still to finish battle royale vol 10 (im thinking of holding off on getting new shoes just to finish this series next week seriously :lolsign: ) Ultima i saw some series and games we both share horray for Otaku swag :megaman: i'll put up pictures of my bookself next week  |

No pix, but recent purchases:
xxxHOLiC Vol. 1-5 & 7 - Read the first volume while I was idling around the bookstore and I liked it, so I picked up all they had. Black Cat Vol. 3 & 4 - I've read some scanlations and it grabbed my interest, so I've been trying to keep up. Eureka seveN Vol. 2 - The first one came with the Eureka seveN DVD Box (along with a t-shirt and the first soundtrack) and I just had to buy the next volume D: Upcoming purchases (like, tomorrow when the first three on the list come out and after I've verified this won't dent my textbook funds that much): Negima! Vol. 11 - Prefer it over the anime currently ._. School Rumble Vol. 3 - Nice to have paperbacks instead of scanlations Rozen Maiden Vol. 2 xxxHOLiC Vol. 6 - Because they didn't have it in the store =/ Full Moon o Sagashite Vol. 1-6 - Recommended by Sakabaka and I slightly remember a bit of the anime when it was airing. Yubisaki Milk Tea Vol. 1 & 2 - Recommended by Q >=0! ARIA Vol. 1 - 3 - Another recommendation by Saka o= At least I'll get to use my member discount now and shave off like 20 bux off the total price and eliminate the shipping fees. |

Anyways, I recently got the Area 88 OAV from ADV; yay for cheap, remastered, old-school classics on DVD! It's over 20 years old but it looks absolutely fantastic. In addition to that I also got the Giant Robo economy collection from Media-Blasters. And believe me when I say that this is most likely the best-valued release in the history of anime on DVD. In fact it's unbelievably, insanely, ludicrously good. You get all the episodes of one of the best OAVs ever created, remastered, as well as the GinRei spin-off episodes, in individual keepcases with a box/sleeve for literally less than the cost of one regular DVD. See here or here. I really don't know what would make one not buy it at that price. Finally I also decided to start collecting the Crying Freeman manga from Dark Horse since the volumes are over 400 pages for the price of a standard VIZ/TP/etc. volume where I buy my books (adlibris.com), seems like they have some sort of special deal with DH or something. Story is pretty engaging but Ikegami's amazing art is what really makes it stand out. |
Quote:
For one, AxelMusic says the item is not in stock (which isn't surprising since it's out of stock almost everywhere), and the box in DVD Pacific says 4:3, even though this was a widescreen show and that just makes my skin crawl. I forgot to check if the R4 release was widescreen, but I can't afford it yet anyway. Oh Haibane, why must you make it so difficult for me ;_; Come to think of it, Deep Discount DVD has the same box (16:9) as axelmusic at $53.23, but I've no idea if they actually have the box in stock, I hate it when sites don't make that clear. |
All the releases are anamorphic 16:9, the listing on DVD Pacific is messed up but it's the right UPC #. Personally I wouldn't buy the R4 because it's PAL. The show was animated at 30fps and PAL is 25fps, so to get it to work they would have to either drop every sixth frame entirely or somehow blend a whole bunch of them together. It might look good, but then again it might not.
And generally if you get through customs without paying anything, Deep Discount DVD or DVD Pacific are the best deals, but if you don't Axel Music will almost always end up cheaper (free shipping, and no customs charges guaranteed because they ship from within the EU.) You could always e-mail them and ask if they really can get it in stock in a couple of days, usually they answer e-mail within a couple of hours. P.S. Buy Giant Robo instead! :aargh: |
It's common knowledge if Haibane Renmei is out of stock, it stays that way :(
|
I got B't X Vol 15 last week (just one more to complete the series), and Dragon Quest: Dai no Daiboken Vol 19 yesterday
http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/btx15g.jpghttp://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/dragon19g.jpg |
Went into town and picked up I"s Volume 9: Christmas Eve. Waiting for this stuff to come out is certainly a test of patience. That leaves 6 volumes yet to be released. :\
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6.../IsVolume9.jpg |
Just picked up some stuff I've been meaning to get for a while:
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...V59762105_.jpg R.O.D. 4, the last volume. I really like Yomiko Readman, and since this series is so short, I figured I'd better at least finish it. But I'd be lying if I said that the third book wasn't a confusing disappointment. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/15...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Il Gatto Sul G, another yaoi series dealing with musicians. For some reason, gay musicians just seem to go together o__O. |
Today I got B't X Vol 16, thus completing the entire series.
It's been one hell of a ride! http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/btx16g.jpg |
http://www.designdraft.net/stuff/purchases/CIMG0121.JPG
Went into BookOff before going to pick up my mother's check and found this gem for only $4.00. Mint condition with special booklet, which I did not previously have. Very pleased. |
I went into town on a whim with a friend of mine and picked up the DearS Official Fan Book. I had no idea there were any plans to release anything of this kind, but it will certainly help me in waiting for the final volume to be released in November. :)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...Loud/DearS.jpg |
It's been a long time coming but I finally finished off the DearS manga with DearS - Volume 8.
In addition to this I picked up I"s - Volume 10: To You. This story keeps getting better and better. Only 5 volumes left. :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ud/DearS-8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...Loud/Is-10.jpg |
I bought Ever17 the Visual Novel!! And boy I'm glad I did ;)
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...ver17cover.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...ever17back.jpg Seems like it's going to be a fun ride; just wish more people would try these games I bet a lot of people who love their manga would like em ah well... Rightstuf was able to ship internationally! Yes!! Go Hirameki! |
Made a few purchases today. Got Appleseed 2004 on UMD at GameStop since it was used for only $10 before employee discount and 10% discount card kicked in.
MovieStop's having a Buy 2 Get 1 free on all anime sale, so I took the opportunity to do something I rarely do -- bought volume 1 of Ergo Proxy, Fate/Stay Night (just to hear the English dub), and the new Guyver series. I rarely buy the first volume of a series, but I did since this opportunity was far too golden to pass up. |
I recently bought the Elfen Lied boxset at Best Buy for $32 (though I used a gift card). I had downloaded this show once before, but something happened that I wasn't able to watch it and I had to delete it for some reason (I honestly don't remember). So I get to watch it now, though I was disappointed to find out that the OVA isn't included.
|
Recently pre-ordered and pre-payed FLCL Ultimate Edition and friggin' Gunbuster! I should get FLCL soon(ish), but it's going to be a pain to wait till the end of February for Gunbuster. And it saddens me that I won't be able to get my hands on the exclusive Trailer Manga Card (damn mail-in offers...:(). Not sure exactly what it is, but it has art by Haruhiko Mikimoto on it so it has to be something awesome.
|
I just got Dragon Drive Complete Set I at Best Buy for $16. 5 DVDs for that much isn't bad. <_<
I started to download the series, then my provider of the anime got cut off. Also, I asked a friend to download this for me, but the videos he gave me wouldn't work either. After bothering with it for so long, I decided to get the DVD and end my troubles. <_< Now I just gotta complete this series and i'm good. |
i figured i should actually continue my hardcopy collection of manga. before this, i only had the .hack//legend of the twilight volumes and one naruto volume that was a christmas present. so, i'm starting now: i got naruto volume 2, the first 2 volumes of bleach, the first 2 volumes of fullmetal alchemist, and the first 2 volumes of love hina.
it's been a long while since i've watched or read anything love hina, so it should be fun again. and with naruto and bleach, i just finished catching up with the scanlations this past week (starting from the beginning); i just want hardcopies though. :p |
Well...I have been a very very busy wolf since i have last posted :D
I have gotten Manga wise: Evangelion Angelic Days V2&3 FMA V9-11 SUIKODEN V10-11(FINALLY!) Trigun Vol 9&10 FMP! V1-4 Slayers Special. now Anime wise, i got: <3 Evangelion Platinum Box(not thinpack) $50! <3 Chrno Crusade Box(not thinpack) 50$! Eureka 7(special editions) V1-5(meaning 3 mangas, 3 T-shirts and OST 1) Ergo Proxy V1(box +bonus dvd) -_- I've spend way too much over these past 6 months Yeah, i went and got alot, completed Suikoden finally, keeping up with me other manga addictions D: and then making sure i get some animes that i just really loved when i downloaded, so i can finally get the hardcopy...oh yeah anime sales are great arent they <3 |
Just got this in the mail today:
~I got this Ringetsu figure of Ayumi. It took me forever to find a good deal on this figurine. But patience has paid off mighty fine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...es/7788_12.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...es/76ef_12.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...es/75b1_12.jpg I also got Pani Poni Dash Vol 1. along with Genshiken Vol 4 too. Haven't got a chance to update that collection. |
Even though I've read the first 7 volumes of Death Note on my computer, I'm loving it so it's definitely a series I want a hard copy of. So I got myself the first two volumes of it. <3 Steadily growing my manga collection...

OMG Cloudkiller, awesome figure! I think my wife would make fun of me if I picked that one up. She wouldn't get mad, just call me "otaku".
I just started reading this awesome manga called "Red River". I picked up volumes 1-4 so far. My wife turned me onto this shojo manga and it is awesome. It is about this mordern day Japanese high school girl who finds herself transported back to an ancient egyptian-like time. It is really action packed and fun to read. |
I just bought Happy Lesson Teacher's Pet Collection. It is a very funny anime series. It has just the comedy I like similar to Azumanga Daioh and Love Hina. Good purchase for me!
|
15 days later... We wanna know what we got this month!.
$100 Captain Tylor - My sister and her friend recommended me to watch this. I hope its worth it. It's a small box that I bought from Suncoast (They are the devils when it comes to prices..) $25 Star Ocean EX Dub/Jap - The story wasn't what I expected but I am a huge SO2 fan so it deserved a purchase. I was thinking of getting Fate/Stay Night vol1 with the box. vol2 came out yesterday. Does anyone know what the dub is like? Im sure they pulled it off well. After all, it's always Geneon that has a batch of talented voice actors like David Lucas and Crispin Freeman. |
Quote:
Yeah, i know it makes a lot of since, an American company buys it and sends it back to Asia, to be dubbed in English. This is just from what i have heard from people that work in the dubbing industry. They are doing this because they dont seem the profit margins enough because people arent buying enough anime, so instead of raisint the price to make to where even less people would buy it, they drop the quality, so they a better chance of hitting a profit. |

Anyway I finally bought Satoshi Kon's Millennium Actress, haven't seen it yet, probably will sometime next week. Now get cracking on that Paprika DVD, Sony! |
Quote:
So to anyone who got it already. Is Fate/Stay Night worth to buy? |

|
I just bought Great Teacher Onizuka DVD 1...lessons 1-4...I already have it from torrents but it was too good of a price to just let it pass me by...that's about it for by anime/manga purchases for this week!!

I never saw the whole thing ;p edit : Forgot to mention that I also grabbed Death Note vol 8. Didn't know vol 9 came out a while ago O.o. Is vol 10 out already too? edit 2 : It is. |
In anticipation of getting Rurouni Kenshin Season Two (which I'm finally about to put an order in for at Right Stuf) I bought a few more volumes of the manga, volumes 20 and 21. The plan is to watch Season Two of the anime (the Kyoto arc), and then read the manga (volumes 18-28) to get the rest of the story rather then watch Season Three, which almost everyone says sucks.
I also got a few more anime-related novels: the third Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex novel, White Maze, and the fourth Vampire Hunter D novel, Tale of the Dead Town. I didn't realize that it was the third GitS novel that I picked up (I was deciding between this one and the second one, but took this one since there was only one copy left as opposed to the four copies left of the second one), so for now I only have the first and the third one. As for the VHD novels, I now have the first four, though I realize that the first six are out already now. |
it was a while ago, but the last ones i got were Kumo no Mukou and Hoshi no Koe. it was a special dvd set at Sakura Media. i just HAD to get it. the stories and the music for both are just beautiful. another bonus that came with it was the Hoshi no Koe OST! :D
|
Received this Fullmetal Alchemist box I ordered last week today for $10. It's got Volume 4 of the manga plus an Edward Elric figurine. Finally, I have a statue of my hero and my all-time favorite character. <3

Momo-con was last weekend and here's my share:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/Zires/hikaru.jpg Hikaru from Peace@Pieces :D. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...anofiggure.jpg One of my well liked series Pia Carrot. I'm a big figure collector heh. Also got genshiken vol 3 and 4. |
Whee, picked up the next 2 volumes of Death Note (3 & 4 for me) to continue my collection. I thought I would wait a while before going through story a fourth time (or third not counting the movies), but I don't see me getting over this Death Note high for a while... oh, hi sig. :3
Also got the third volume of Fullmetal Alchemist since I'm there now. I had Volumes 1, 2 , and 4 (which came with the figure), so Vol. 3 makes it contiguous now. :p Too bad the Volume 4 I have doesn't have the super shiny cover. :( |
Wow, the last post was at end of March! I think it's about time I posted here, since I haven't anything in a long while.
First off, I'm starting to collect the Death Note graphic novels. I currently have volumes 1 to 3. Cool. Then I got this: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...dnfastener.jpg It's a fastener, so you can stick it anywhere. There's around eight of these to collect, and you won't know what you get until you open the package. I ended up with Misa's Doll, which isn't exactly what I wanted, but at least I can start scaring random strangers with it. Other items include L's chair, L's coffee, L's laptop and an apple with a bite taken out of it. The package is triangular and cool, I guess. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8.../dnpackage.jpg The item came in a GIANT package, which totally baffles me. Why the giant envelope? Who knows. |
Yotsubato! Vol 1 + 2 (JPN) $1/ea.
Trigun Maximum Vol 2,3,4 (JPN) $1/ea. I love my job. Also, someones been deleting my posts. edit//Oh fine, I'll add pictures or something then. Post that got deleted said Kyoko Karasuma of the Asakusa Police Department Vol.1 // $1 |
Probably because it was short and read like a list. Put more into your posts I guess.

Ive Been a busy poor guy recently!
WELL! Ive picked up just A FEW DVDs. I've picked up: Chevalier Vol 1 Prerelease, in January. If you haven't seen this show, GO watch it! its wonderful! Phantom Memory Kurau Vol 1 Prerelease, in March. This show its awesome, there are some really cool fight scenes. The first episode reminded me a lot of Ghost in the Shell, its by BONES(meaning its a must see). Ergo Proxy vol 2. THIS SHOW, WOW, its getting better and better! Manga list: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, yeah i know, i picked it up just to have it. Fullmetal Alchemist up to Vol 12. Gata love this manga, its much better than the anime. Also picked up Vol 4 of Evangelion : Angelic Days. This manga is deffently interesting, if your an uber fanboy of the series you might not like it or you might love it. It might just be your looking for more eva STUFF(guilty here). I enjoy it. Stuff on backorder/preorder: I have the next 2 special edition volumes of Eureka 7 vol 6 and 7. So some time in the next few months i will be getting the next to E7 mangas, the OST2 and 2 more t-shirts! ^.^ i cant wait! |
http://houyokusen.com/images/mangapurchase.jpg
I've pretty much been neglecting my manga purchases (I tend to avoid purchasing anime so I just buy manga) because I've been really busy with school and a lot of other things. Well I had a bunch of free time lately and I wanted to catch up on stuff so super huge purchase go :E (Working my way to the bottom, sorta. Sorry for the huge post.) Eureka SeveN Vol. 3 & 4 - I like the way the manga is going with the series, and some of the characters have a really distinct personality than their anime counterparts. Emma Vol 1, 2, & 3 - Qwarky recommended this manga to me. Read it, fell in love with the designs and characters, one of my favorite series. Saw the anime, loved that too. Naturally I would pick up the manga >=0! Yubisaki Milk Tea Vol 3 & 4 - Another series recommended by Qwarky. The characters are kind of cute, but the plot is just all sorts of wtf (sometimes it is in a good way). It's a rather interesting read nonetheless. Only read if you don't mind crossdressing, loli, lesbianism, and other sorts of stuff. Nah I kid, although it does have those kind of things in it, it's still a pretty good read. Although I guess Qwarky and I must be immune to it though because most people seem to be under the impression that it's a disturbing series ;_; Blood Alone Vol 1 & 2 - A series that was recommended to me by Taco. At first I thought it would be "oh just another vampire series blah blah gore violence etc", but it has moments now and then where the story is rather romantic and Misaki is just all sorts of cute. Kuroe pretty much sucks though >=0. Seems to have a weird trend of 2-3 chapters of nice happy things, then 3 chapters of BLOOD.VIOLENCE.GORE. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days Vol 3 & 4 - Qwarky introduced me to this (he sure seems to introduce me to a lot of things), it's pretty much expanding on the "what if" situation that was touched upon in the final episode, where Shinji has a decision to make. As of volume 4 Shinji's story is finished, so the final volumes are going to be about Gendo's past. Full Moon o Sagasite Vol 7 - Somehow I never purchased the final volume to this great series. I don't know how I missed it, I just did =( Black Cat Vol 5, 6, & 7 - I already read this series long ago when it was first translated. I'm a big sucker for the cast though, so I always jump at the opportunity to purchase the next volume. Besides, it feels nice to hold the actual thing and read it as opposed to pressing "->" on the keyboard all the time. Negima! Vol 12 & 13 - When I first started this series I was kind of bored with it, the whole harem thing is kind of overdone. After a few volumes though the plot really picked up, and plus I had to read the end of that darn tournament arc, was tired of all the cliffhangers. The story is really keeping me interested now, especially after what happened at the end of the tournament! Rozen Maiden Vol 3 & 4 - It's Rozen Maiden, do I even need to explain myself? The only quirk I have about the english version is Tokyopop's adaptation. They replaced all desus with yes, so it's kind of weird to see a long string of "Yes" in a bubble. Other than that though it is good, and some things happen different than from the anime so I am always interested in seeing how they are represented. School Rumble Vol 4 & 5 - Clueless-chan is clueless. Sometimes I wonder if there will ever be a day when Tenma realizes Harima's feelings. They are both pretty stupid though so I doubt it will happen anytime soon. Unbalance x Unbalance Vol 1 - I am currently reading the scans of this korean manwha, and aside from it digressing to some shounen "GONNA KICK YER' FUCKIN' ASS" type of plot as of volume 5 it is pretty good. Student/Teacher romance kind of thing (although that didn't happen for quite a while, so it was mostly Student/Teacher getting into all sorts of trouble) Hayate the Combat Butler Vol 1 & 2 - Taco recommended this to me one night over AIM. It's freaking Hayate. It has a talking tiger (from Africa!), homicidal robots, a crazy head butler, cousins of Nagi's that want to turn Hayate into a comedian, the list just goes on and on. It makes fun of itself so many times it's hilarious. Welcome to the NHK! Vol 1 & 2 - I remember glancing at the anime a bit when it was airing and Merv was talking about it. I also read a scan or two from the first volume. It seemed kind of "out there" as far as most series are, but it was rather humorous about it (although sometimes disturbing) so I figured what the hell, might as well give it a read. I also ordered this Shinku PVC figure from Hobby Link Japan. I should really purchase manga on time and not wait to do giant purchases. The deliverymen really hate it (because the packages don't come in one big box, they come in many little boxes and on multiple days). |
I hadn't bought any manga for over 2 months, but I'm almost caught up with everything I have, so I thought I'd the next Full Metal Alchemist volumes. Borders I went to didn't have them though... so contingency plan:
Naruto, Vol. 3 and Bleach, Vol.3 because one day I will go through the beginnings for the fifth time. :3: And of course, [b]Death Note, Vol. 6[b] because L is my boy. But then again this volume... Lastly, Bleach box of mystery: http://images.sanemonkey.com/gff/rukia_box.jpg One of five.... who's inside? http://images.sanemonkey.com/gff/rukia_figure.jpg Rukia naman. <3 |
Quite a great month for manga here in Mexico.
Besides Dragon Quest Vol. 28, I grabbed the first volumes of Bleach, Naruto and Death Note. http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/bleach1g.jpg http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/naruto1g.jpg http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/deathnote1g.jpg |
I've just picked up the boxset of Kingdom Hearts. The drawing style is quite cute and it has quite funny moments. But it was too short, because they omitted some details from the game... Regardless, I'm still going to purchase the Chain of Memories boxset when it comes out in October (I think).
|
I recently picked up Gankutsuou 1-4. These DVDs were definitely worth the price. The series is visually appealing and just plain awesome. I'm still trying to hunt down the 5th disk while avoiding the interweb. Let's see how long I hold out. >:D
Since Noein - To Your Other Self was on sale, I gave that a go, too. (This has nothing to do with Hagu's VA...) It's pretty good so far! =D Like Noein, Basilisk and Trinity Blood were also on sale. Actually, disk 1 for both were on sale in a bundle for around $14. I was hoping that Basilisk would be much better, but I wasn't too enthused about it after the first 2 episodes. =[ Trinity Blood was fine, though. =] (Zoink! The Vatican!) |
Wooo! I finally found the next volumes for Death Note and Fullmetal Alchemist. Volume 6 of FMA has eluded me for quite some time, so I haven't been able to continue the story for over a month now. I went ahead and got volumes 6 & 7 of that. I was gonna get 8 too, but the lady warned of the super sticky security tag on it that would destroy the cover; so I didn't get that. Instead, I also got volume 7 of Death Note, which has also eluded me, but I'm only on volume 6 right now anyway. =p
BUT! Quote from the cashier when she saw my purchases: Quote:
Sike! :( I don't think I've ever had a cashier who was into manga. So I was able to have a fun conversation with her for a few minutes. Yay. |
With my recent completion of my university course, I decided to splash out early and grab the following titles on DVD.
Black Lagoon: Volume 1 - Limited Collector's Edition Berserk: TV Series: The Complete 1st Season Premium Collection Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, The: Volume 1 - Special Edition Shadow Skill TV #1-6 Volumes Black Lagoon was just an awesome series for me and now that it has been released on DVD I'm interested in hearing how the dubbed version will sound. The Haruhi DVD won't be released until the 29th but the pre-order has been placed in my name so I only hope there is one spare for me. I've been after both the Berserk and Shadow Skill series's for a long time and now that the company I order all my DVD's from has got them in stock, DC-DVD, I was more than happy to throw them into the basket whilst buying the other two. Minus the Haruhi DVD, they should all start arriving before the end of the week and most definately by next week. |
I'm on a budget, so I never buy my manga at full price (which means waiting for those 20-25% off coupons to wander into my inbox from Borders). That, combined with an utter inability to keep up with anything when I'm in school have made me get massively behind on my 'regular' series -- the ones that aren't stuck in limbo while the author writes more chapters (ie: Hellsing, Alichino, Priest).
That said, I finally got around to buying this: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...eL._AA240_.jpg Two years ago, I honesty didn't think I would see this officially translated. I was scraping around on the internet looking for fan-translations (which were few and far between) and japanese summaries. Now I'm kind of indifferent (much like how I was with the Vampire Hunter D novels, which I also casually buy). Heh. How times change. Regardless, I'm going to give them a shot. Most people said the books were a lot better than the manga, which I know is better than the anime. I've been a longtime fan of TB before it was even remotely known in the English-speaking world, so I'm glad that it's here. Too bad I've kind of lost a lot of interest in it. |
http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/5...ture012ch0.jpg
I had season 1 already but I should be getting season 2 today or tomorrow so everything else is all good. Macross Plus was a non-debatable purchase. I had to buy it >=]. I wonder if the movie version was better.. |
http://houyokusen.com/images/haruhi1.jpg
http://houyokusen.com/images/haruhi2.jpg http://houyokusen.com/images/haruhi3.jpg My Haruhi Special Edition came in, I am very happy about this. Mostly because when I first got the e-mail near the release date they said there was a delay and it wouldn't ship until June 29th. Felt as if they were going "lololo nuh you can't have it". The next day they send an e-mail saying it is already shipped, and sure enough that same day it was already in Houston. It arrived last night (as the UPS person threw it at my door ='D) I really wasn't sure what the hell the ribbon was at first, so out of curiosity I stuck it on my head. I was expecting a hair band and not something elastic. Then again if they did that then all the man-haruhis would be unable to complete their cosplay dream. I also ordered about 7 manga or so, 8 if you count a novel. Out of all the things purchased (Shakugan no Shana Vol 1 + Novel Vol 1, NHK Vol 3, Hayate Vol 3, Angelic Days Vol 5, Negima Vol 14, Eureka Seven Vol 5, and Black Cat Vol 8) I am probably looking forward the most to Shakugan no Shana, Angelic Days, and Eureka Seven. Sometimes I think about the things I could be doing with this money instead of splurging it on anime and manga, then I realize it would just be a different form of the same structure. |
This is what I got so far from rightstuff minus DBZ Season 2. Shitty cam it is.

Today's loot consists of One Piece 19-23 (End of Alabasta arc), ZOMBIE POWDER 1, and Air Gear 5. I love my job. http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/7...2681dj8.th.jpg My Japanese manga collection has amassed over 200 volumes as of today, now counting 202. I'm kind of proud in a geeky way. http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/9...2682oh0.th.jpg And for the hell of it my English manga collection that I'm trying to get rid of. |
I'll take your English manga. No fees included!
Uh, have this image: http://sakabadger.psiblade.net/img/DSC00359.jpg When my RightStuf order gets here (never) I'll try to take an image of my meager collection as a whole. |
My latest purchase consist of
Blood, The Last Vampire 2000 Death Note, Volume 3 Bleach, Volume 3 and Naruto, Volume 3 http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/blood1g.jpghttp://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/deathnote3g.jpg http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/bleach3g.jpghttp://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/naruto3g.jpg |
I've read the scanlations. I've watched the movies. I've completed the anime series. I've read the first 7 [English] volumes, and now I can completely finish it off...
Death Note. I bought the last four volumes last night. This may be my last DN fix. Ever. |

Took a month and 8 days, but the first package from RightStuf finally arrived. I'm still missing 3 of the ROD TV volumes. One of them is currently being shipped and the other two are "on order"... meaning I might get up to 4 different packages for a 10-dvd order placed over a month ago. Ah well. And yes, that is a Mickey Mouse design on the blankets. |
LOL! took them long enough! try waiting 3 months for 1 dvd :o i ordered in Feb and got them in June! the other stuff was preorder so that i can understand, but D: and whats even more sad, i ordered something I'm April and got that one before the first order! though, both game within 3 days of each other ^^;;
I guess i should add that i have gotten: Vol 2/box of Chevalier and Kurau <3 and am loving both shows Vol 3 of Ergo Proxy a while back, and once i sell my Optimus Prime Poster with Peter Cullen's sig on it :o I will probably be picking up Vol 4 of that Ive also managed to snag the rest of the E7 DVDs all special edition where apply <3 and cant WAIT for more At Akon I didn't pick up too much in the way of DVDs, but i did manage to grab 8 of the 12 Silent Mobius mangas for <3 35$!!!!!!(too bad im still missing vol 1,2,7,8 which will run me $50s on rightstuff when they are on sale for 33% off) Ive Also Picked up the 10th Vol of the Evangelion Manga <3 cant wait for the 11th!!!! And the 3 Scrapped Princess novels(not mangas, novels) I think thats it... Transformors Poster:
|
Just picked up the first volume of Trinity Blood: Reborn on the Mars.
http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/image...kL._AA240_.jpg I already read the first volume of the sister series Rage Against the Moons, but it doesn't belong to me. I'm enjoying the TB novels well enough, although I'm anxious to start getting beyond what the anime/manga have covered thoroughly. The Vampire Hunter D novels are of more interest to me in many ways. |
Finally about to catch up to something with my latest purchases: Fullmetal Alchemist, volumes 11-14, which should bring me up-to-date with the series. In addition, I also got .hack//AI buster so I can finally start on catching up to the .hack series that I stopped following several years ago. :(
|
Got Black Lagoon Volume 3 Limited Edition today but still haven't had volume 2 yet, hopefully they haven't ran out of them. ;_;
|
Much to my ado.. I bring you all a new figure!!! Yay for necro'ing a thread..
I haven't taken a picture but you will make do with a stock photo for the time being. :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...okkofigure.jpg The Hinata Bokko by Solid Theater. Hiragii Hinata! Unlike HLJ listed, This figure is not based to the bottom by a screw its just been glued a bit.. not super glue but something of that sort. One problem I had with it though. I know her dress is removable and all but damn.. did they have to make the seam part look so visible? She's also quite heavy, must be the skirt.. On the other hand. She comes with two cats one bigger, and one smaller. There inside each other though. Both are equally cute. :) But I won't see it, its only on the two sides views. You won't be able to see it front view. |
Recently purchased Ys Legacy and Planetes Complete Collection. Ys I mainly bought because I am in love with the games, and Falcom's music. The show hasn't aged that well (80's animation) but the music is great and it follows the game's story almost exactly - so that's pretty cool from the point of view of someone who's played Ys Books 1&2 countless times. Planete's I've researched a lot and heard many good things about it. Saw 3 episodes and am enjoying it very much.
|
^Awesomness. Planetes Complete Collection is on my wishlist.
As for recent purchase, I just bought the Genshiken box set on a whim. |
Look what the cat dragged in >.<
http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/8272/tyloram0.jpg I should be getting my GTO boxsets in today. I'll edit later. Time to give this show a chance. |
Finally, my collection of Dragon Quest: Dai no Daiboken is complete.
I write this with pride. Death Note is almost complete. Just got vol. 11 today. I don't know if How to Read will be published here, but at least the ending of the storyline is a couple of weeks away. http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/dragon37g.jpg http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/death-note11g.jpg Aaaaand Bleach and Naruto as well, which are just warming up. http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/bleach11g.jpg http://www.mundovid.com/img_prod/naruto11g.jpg |
Guess what I got several weeks ago during GFF's downtime:
http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b8...cewolf/all.jpg Might get the third volume if the L figure is decent. |
Recent manga run since I'm caught up with stuff. First, a crappy photo of the gets:
http://images.sanemonkey.com/gff/manga-20080324.jpg I haven't kept up with Death Note too much ever since going throw the anime twice, the movies, and the manga twice (scanlations than NA volumes). I don't know what's really in this Volume 13, but hopefully there's something interesting in there. I also got Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases. which looks fo' serious. I got .hack//AI buster 2 since I'm trying to get back into the series, and I just finished reading the first one. Next up will be the third PS2 video game. And lastly, I got the just-released Fullmetal Alchemist, Vol. 16. <3 EDIT: And two months later, I happen to make the next anime purchase. I finally gave in and got the Limited Edition Death Note DVD boxes with the figurines. <3 Now I have another excuse to go through the story again! http://images.sanemonkey.com/gff/manga-20080524a.jpg http://images.sanemonkey.com/gff/manga-20080524b.jpg Yes, Mario Kart Wii on the TV. :tpg: |
I just picked this baby up.
Mexican edition, bitches. ;) http://images.shareapic.net/fullsize3/008396399.jpg |
I recently purchased Ogenki Clinic vol 4-6 at a used book and video store. I remember downloading the first 3 but could never find the rest of them
