For anyone that hasn't seen it yet, the new trailer is out, and it looks bloody spectacular.

I saw that for the first time today also. Fanfuckingtastic.

The movie looks AWESOME.

Yeah, no kidding. I was doing homework when the trailer came on and it became instant AIM capslock time.

A buddy of mine sent it to me, and I was just floored.

Well, I got the joy of seeing it on my super fancy 26" 1990 TV.

Actually, it was pretty great that it was a complete surprise. And at least it's not a horribly long time to wait.

The movie company I worked for got their hands on a copy of the trailer, and we pirated us a movie screen for twenty minutes this afternoon. Awesome.

ARE THEY STEERING THE SHIP IN SAND? This looks so awesome. I will watch this movie, with my eyes. Then I'll watch internet goons flood in and start complaining about it like number 2 (even though that was ALSO awesome). *Cool sunnies smiley goes here*

Agreed, Infernal. Two was great, and people whined incessantly.

I like how the trailer completely ruined the giant twist in the ending of 2. But I guess if people hadn't seen it by now, they probably didn't care to begin with.

Can't wait to see the rest of that Jack/Davy Jones fight. I couldn't help but grin at how epic that looked, with the trailer's music synced up with the sword clashes. Fucking splendid.

Umm.... WOW! I am definitely going to love this!

My parents love this and I am sure that we will go and see the movie as soon as it comes out.

More Davy Jones is awesome. Chow Yun Fat is a big surprise, but I'm slightly disappointed at the lack of Keith Richards :(.

I loved the first two movies and this one looks to be another great thrill ride and laugh fest (Johnny Depp FTW).

Barbossa comin liek wut.

I've been looking forward to this movie ever since I saw the 2nd one in theaters. Im definitely going to go see it atleast 5 times. ;d The trailer has me so excited for it.

I didn't like POTC2 but I'm not willing to give up on a franchise because of a bad sequel. (but in the cases of Robocop and The Matrix- I probably should have).

Anyway, WTF is Chow Yun-Fat: God of Actors doing here? If he doesn't fly through a flock of doves in Slow-mo with two (flintlock) pistols, I'm gonna be a bit disappointed :)

I watched it over and over trying to figure out little things that are going to happen. It's AWESOME!. What can I say? I'm addicted to PotC.

The expression Jack made when that lone monkey raised his hand made me laugh. It look interesting, and I like the concept of bringing together the forces of disparate pirates from around the globe.

It looks like that leaked script had a vast majority of the locations correct, which means that, in the strict filming time that the films were given, the plot is likely correct, as well. It should be more fun, then.

...On another note, I'm a bit of a movie elitist, but I found myself disagreeing with the majority that dismissed the 2nd movie. Did anyone else find the writing encouragingly complex for what could have been a set of throw-away flicks?

I just saw the preview and I have to see.. that I'm excited about this film. I don't care what everyone else say about the 2nd one... it rocked.

And I have to say that I can't wait for this one to come out..

I actually enjoyed the second one more than the first - I felt it had more of everything done better, and this third one is shaping up to be something legendary. Enjoyable, yes!

No, but seriously. I want to see Pirates 3 so fucking bad. I don't know why everybody said Pirates 2 was a total let down. I thought it was fucking amazing. Davy Jones and his crew is one of the coolest group of villains ever. Whatever though. Sadly, one of the biggest things I'm interested in is how they explain the return of Barbossa.

I think I need new eyes for this movie. That was fucking great and when they trailers get to my local theater, I will have someone give me an extra so I can watch it over and over again.

It is a big surprise to me that people think this is a surprise. Shit, I knew he was going to be in it and what role he was playing the day Dead Man's Chest came into theaters. It just seems odd with all the movie fans here, that people are calling this a surprise.

Does anybody know what any of the music is that played during this trailer? Im especially looking for the music that played from the midway to the end of the trailer.

This is a good resource for identifying trailer music. I think it'll be hard to isolate music from the POTC:AWE trailer as it appears to be a meld of many tracks.

If the movie has the level of special effects in the trailer and more, I can clearly see it taking a second oscar for that category. I hope the story is more satisfying then the second one, though. Dead Man's Chest was great but it kinda lost the magic set by the first.
