South Park: A Season 11?

Has anyone heard anything about a new season coming out? Season 10 was pure genius. Is there a yearly pattern to the launching of a new South Park Season? Any news, post it here!

Sepharite Feb 26, 2007 09:42 PM

It's coming back in two weeks, according to TV.com ~ March 7, 2007. <3

Can't wait. xD

DeLorean Mar 1, 2007 05:56 PM

The lack of interest in the Media Centre in South Park really amazes me!

The Furious One Mar 1, 2007 07:00 PM

I got sick of south park years ago, then I started watching 10th and 11th season on fixmedia, lol how do they make so fresh and funny all these years. Im glad I've started watching it again, cartman is too funny :D

scotty Mar 1, 2007 07:45 PM

Yes! I have been looking forward to the 11th season so badly. I hope this season stays as good as season 9 and 10

Thalin Mar 2, 2007 07:22 AM

Ah, I was going to start a new thread on the new season like I did last year, but it appears there's no need.

There is a rumour over at one of the 'big tv' sites that the new season will feature more jokes about Hillary Clinton and a spoof of 24, I look forward to the latter :) Less that a week to go, let's hope this season is good. I wasn't too keen on the second half of last season at all.

Because it's nothing but political/pop culture humor. The formulas gotten really stale.

You've seen part of the 11th season...?

I totally disagree, they always surprise me somehow.

But anyway... I love deftones as well! I live in their hometown, saw them 2-3 times. Chino stood on my shoulders (along with a few other peoples) while singing 'My Own Summer' cause I happened to be right infront of him in the moshpit.... badass

The Furious One Mar 2, 2007 02:05 PM

yes recently sold my house for a time machine, travelled into the future to watch season 11.

GhaleonQ Mar 4, 2007 05:28 AM

It begins in 3 days, I believe.

I hate how you have the authority to be a dick and post something completely irrelevant to my thread just because you're a moderator.

Thalin Mar 4, 2007 01:59 PM

It's official. South Park will parody 24!

"We have so many good ideas, it's hard to pick what the first one should be," says Matt Stone. For once, he's not joking. Thanks to a fruitful February writers' retreat in Palm Springs, he and partner Trey Parker say they've got at least two ideas for Season 11 that "someone" will be very unhappy about. Hooray! They won't reveal more, but one story line they will share is a 24 parody. "We're fans, and really impressed with the writing," says Parker, "but as soon as you have Cartman saying the same stuff, it's pretty damn funny."
Basically, we've spent the last month watching like three or four episodes a day, studying what they do," Parker says

vuigun Mar 4, 2007 03:03 PM

Everytime I hear of a new South Park season, I think of how (in their 'simpsons did it' episode) they said something about shows getting old and boring when they are on the air too long.

Gechmir Mar 4, 2007 03:10 PM

I fucking love South Park. Been watching it since Season 1. Can't wait for the 7th. This is the first I've heard of the new season, but luckily I won't have to wait one :3

I SHALL CRUSH YOU LIKE A CLAM UPON MY TUMMY.

Muzza Mar 5, 2007 01:47 AM

This is good news; I like South Park. It's not one of my favourite shows, but I do love how the creators raise important, current issues and openly express their perspective through them. It's fresh to see a cartoon do such a thing so openly. Having said that, I do tend to find it a bit monotonous sometimes. I've seen every episode released, some more than once, and I can firmly say that it's always worth watching.

I like how some people I know are dogmatic in the fact that they perceive South Park to be mindless smut, mainly basing this opinion on the show's earlier episodes (which I find more funny slapstick-wise) and the character voices. I keep insisting them to watch one of the more recent episodes (for example, Smug Alert!), but I'm afraid they will never watch it due to the sour reputation it's built among (conservative) people (and that's understandable).

My verdict? 8/10.

:twitch:

Anyway, hooray for a South Park season 11. Here's hoping the plots of the episodes aren't too America-only friendly and appeal to people on a global scale. (I know that's an exaggeration...I'd back it up but I can't think of any specific scenes/episodes)

Thalin Mar 5, 2007 08:25 AM

We have a small description -

"With Apologies to Jesse Jackson"

The “N” bomb hits South Park and Cartman fights a midget.

bested Mar 5, 2007 12:56 PM

I haven't heard of it... but if its coming out then I can't wait :P

DeLorean Mar 7, 2007 09:56 PM

I wish I had cable/satellite... South Park airs in like 5 minutes right???

scotty Mar 7, 2007 10:55 PM

The torrent just came out at http://www.mrtwig.net/ in .rm format for those who are interested

Zip Mar 8, 2007 05:05 AM

God damn this episode was extreme lol. I couldnt help laughing though, especially in the middle of the episode. I can see the SP team getting tons of heat from this one..

The Furious One Mar 8, 2007 08:20 AM

you can directly download it here to if you arent to fussed over the quality, as well some of the old classic episodes

Chie Mar 8, 2007 08:54 AM

not as funny as the start off of season 10 but still had some laughs in it, mostly in the beginning.

Thalin Mar 8, 2007 09:39 AM

I was pretty disappointed to be honest.

Gechmir Mar 8, 2007 10:31 AM

WORDS ARE LIKE BULLETS =Y

"Ohh god! Who put him in little suspenders?! Was it you, Kyle??"

DeLorean Mar 16, 2007 12:28 PM

The first episode was awesome, and crossed new lines that South Park hadnt crossed before! I found the 2nd episode to be not quite as funny though :\

Thalin Mar 22, 2007 08:14 AM

3rd episode - dismal.

I'm really not enjoying South Park anymore. Ah well it's been a good 10 seasons :)

You have the admit the first episode was awesome lol. 'Actually... the correct answer is 'Naggers'.'

nuttyturnip Mar 22, 2007 08:30 AM

It wasn't that bad. The Oprah episode was a whole lot worse than this one, and I found some of the lice's comments funny. For some reason, every time the one said "Kelly" with his overly dramatic accent, it cracked me up. It wasn't the greatest episode, but it wasn't dismal either.

Thalin Mar 22, 2007 09:19 AM

It just dosn't make me laugh anymore. I still think my favourite episodes are the Walmart one, and The Biggest Douche in the Universe :)

S_K Mar 22, 2007 10:25 AM

10 seasons should really be a good time to end it they just rely on mocking whatever they can get away with now to fill an entire episode not to mention those kiss ass episodes where they pretty much dedicate entire episodes to a product (the WoW and PSP episodes anyone? -_-)

Also South Park parodying 24? Who didn't see that coming... I find it amusing that 'Simpsons did it' first though :D

Will Mar 22, 2007 12:58 PM

Are we all watching the same show? Honestly, I thought the lice episode was hilarious.

Thalin Mar 22, 2007 02:08 PM

OK, I laughed once, that was when the boys were arguing about what they would say to cover up that they had the lice themselves, then Cartman says 'and this is exactly what Kenny would do, stand there and say nothing'. That made me chuckle, but overall it was pretty unmemorable.

There's something the older episodes had though that these don't. I'm not talking about the plot, obviously the first few seasons focused on making the viewer laugh with anything they could throw at them, the later ones more on political humour, the ones in the middle a bit of both. But after watching the Walmart episode again, it just seemed completely different, and funny.

DeLorean Apr 11, 2007 03:09 PM

Whoever posted that www.fixed-media.com link, thank you. This last episode about Easter was pure genius. I loved it when Kyle had to kill jesus, freakin fantastic. If anyone has ever been to a Catholic church, you'll love this episode. 'Hippitus hoppitus'.

makura Apr 12, 2007 04:28 AM

Today's episode "D-Yikes!" was pretty funny. Loved the 300 references.

I thought south parks 24 spoof came out first. Because as far as I know the simpsons ver is not out yet.

ps: what was the psp eps?

Genthar Apr 12, 2007 05:50 AM

LOL Cartman made an excellent "Jack Bauer". One day the real Jack will resort to the Cartman torture methods as the writers will run out of ideas.

I agree he did a good impersonation of Jack Bauer

Shenlon Apr 12, 2007 02:08 PM

I think after the lice episode the episodes have been getting a bit better, the first 2 totally blew chunks.

The newest one made fun of 300 halfway through the episode. I noticed some people complained about the unnecessary slow motion in the movie and I guess the creators of south park felt the same way.
They slow-mo'd every useless scene including the dramatic coffee making.

It seems like south park is just trying to get any cheap laughs while it still has some juice in it up to the point where its predictible and stale.

nuttyturnip Apr 19, 2007 07:53 AM

Zombie homeless people made me laugh (especially Stan's dad's antics), but did anyone else find the homeless expert's suicide scene somewhat ill-timed, considering recent events?

Will Apr 19, 2007 04:04 PM

That episode was great. I don't generally watch horror movies, but I did see Dawn of the Dead, thankfully. Cartman's rendition of "California Love" was priceless.

Not really no. I don't really see a connection between school shootings and a suicide from "zombie" homeless people.

LoL, thank you. I can't believe someone would link those two. 'Omg how can you even look at guns after what happened!'. South Park didn't really kill anybody, its just make-believe.

Ditto. But why does it have to be on so dang late in the night! At least it doesn't conflict with Wednesday prime-time I guess with juggernaut Lost in the mix... The first season was just good silly humor, but I'm really enjoying the fun they're poking at pop culture & politics lately - great stuff.

DeLorean May 7, 2007 08:41 PM

It'll be okay everyone... I know your life is empty with South Park on a break, but just hang in there. We can get through this together.

DeLorean Nov 9, 2007 04:01 PM

South Park is off of break, and about 5 episodes have come out since this thread was last posted in! How is everyone liking the new episodes. I absolutely loved all of the new ones... but thought the trilogy was not the funniest of the new season...

Rockgamer Nov 9, 2007 05:38 PM

A little late, considering next week's episode is the season finale, but yeah, this season has been alright so far. The Imaginationland trilogy was pretty good, but my favorite of this season so far was probably that episode about the world's largest shit.
