What's your internet addiction?
What's your internet addiction?
I'm obsessed with explosm.net. The comics are hilarious. |
Not too much beside Gamingforce. Everything else pales in comparison.
I tend to hoard webcomics, though, and last.fm has been quite addicting at times. |
I have three simple ones:
1. Gamingforce 2. Web Comics 3. Digg.com |
- gamingforce
- variety of forums |
Quote:
I agree, some of these are really funny.. I made a thread about them in the Laughs and Games a few weeks ago. I guess my addictions would be gamingforce.. and playing helicopter. |
I like megaTokyo comics...
but I'm basically obsessed with a certain other forum...if I'm not on it, it's on my mind |
-----
|
Other than Gamingforce I mainly flip through my webcomic lineup and check up on news at RPGamer.com. I mess around with Facebook quite a bit too, but I never really do much with it outside of talking to a couple of friends.
|
1. YTMND: Yes...YES! 2. 4chan DESU DESU DESU DESU DESU 3. Metafilter: Hates America. 4. Wikipedia: Okami was a game released in 2006 for YOUR MOM. |
GFF because it's the first thing I check when I go on the net each day 8-|
and then after that the Jump Ultimate Stars message board on gamefaqs since I'm still addicted to the game and am looking for people to face constantly in my spare (and busy) time. :p Everything else I check routinely out of habit, but once in a while, I'll spend a long time reading movie spoilers at www.themoviespoiler.com or look at random rpg wiki entries at wikipedia, or game reviews at gamespot, as well as the clearly biased reader reviews of gamefaqs, to at least have a faint idea of the games I should have but never played. |
1. Slashdot (and sometimes Digg)
2. Webcomics, such as penny arcade, questionable content, dinosaur comics, white ninja, and others. 3. Email. Email. email. 4. Netflix (rating movies I've seen, adding more movies to my queue, checking to see if they've added the streaming option to my account yet...) 5. Facebook (and to a lesser extent, myspace) 6. General news 7. Car news 8. Finance news 9. Wikipedia 10. techbargains.com |
News, email, check gamespot or ign if anything groundbreaking happened while I was asleep, webcomics for a good laugh if its a good day, otherwise just a chuckle. Then its off to whatever comes to my mind. Sometimes its GFF, maybe 4chan, or Wikipedia. Maybe even the World of warcraft forums for a good laugh at some stupid post, which on the WoW forums there is bound to be one.
|
My internet time, which happens to be a lot, is usually spent here on GFF, Oink looking for new music, checking out some webcomics or messaging and exchanging music with my friends and neighbors on Last.fm.
|
1. Gamingforce
2. Gmail 3. Gamerankings/Gamespy 4. The Magic Box (gaming site) 5. Rightstuf 6. Fappable Material 7. Best Buy LOL This is usually the order that I visit, starting off with any GFF news and tidbits. I'm surprise I check GFF even before my personal mail. And some how I save the "best" for last. Okay that was bad. |
The sequence is usually something like this…
Gaming news: Joystiq, Kotaku, 4CR, Gamasutra etc Gotlurk.net (latest manga chapters) GFF TheWiikly.com: The Cycle Theory piece sucked me in. I think every gamer would appreciate this article, but there’s been nothing of that caliber since. I just check in hope. Random med forums/Random blogs Jugglezine (monthly only) Wikipedia or Encyclopaedia Dramatica |
I really need to broaden my horizon. Currently, this is my list.
news.yahoo.com - I check this first, daily. wunderground.com - I need to know the weather, duh. facebook.com - Check up on my friends. myspace.com - ditto. spoofee.com - check some deals woot.com - check this at midnight for deals. gamingforce.com - im starting to come back a little more each day. youtube.com - it's becoming a necessity. louisiana.edu - for various school things. Really, that's about it. |
www.youtube.com
There is so much shit to watch on that. I used to watch movies off this before they were taken down. Lots of anime to watch too, though it's poor quality. But I can't use bit torrent, so this is a nice substitute. |
1. Gamingforce
2. Gamingforce 3. Wikipedia 4. YouTube |
This place. :( I keep telling myself I have other, more important, things to do but I always end up here. I don't know if that's good or bad.
I also hang out at Livejournal a lot, but not nearly as much as I used to. Lately I've been poking around Gamefaqs. I know the forums suck, but I can't help using the FAQs and guides there. Finally, I check my Gmail several times a day, but that's a given. |
IMDB (www.imdb.com)- I LOVE imdb. Even though most of the people on the discussion boards are "special" I just can't help but discussing movies. I'm a movie fanatic; love talking about movies and actors/actresses. I've been an active member on that site for 3 years now.
Livejournal (www.livejournal.com)- I'm mostly there for the communities. I've been on LJ since the 9th grade. Alluc (www.alluc.org/alluc)- Umm this site is awesome. Hundreds of tv links, movie links, anime links, cartoon links w/o the hassel of downloading them. However sometimes you have to catch the links quick because some will get taken down. Most of the ones that get taken down the most are probably anime links. The ones for television/cartoons and movies stay up for a while. Check it out sometime. Other sites: Gmail Pajiba Gamingforce Rottentomatoes Youtube |
My first port of call are a couple of speedrunning sites. Then GameFAQ's (for some reason I just vote in the daily poll and leave :3: ), and then here. Occasionally I'll pop in to the 8 Bit Theater (although It's not quite as funny as it used to be...) and DontStayIn (as part of my social life).
|
I haven't really had any internet addictions lately. Gamingforce was definitely an addiction 4-5 years ago. My last "addiction" was probably online poker back in 2005, but that was okay since I won a lot. I just stopped because it took too much time, but it's definitely something I want to get back into, if I could find that time again. ^^
Right now though, I don't really have any addictions. There's places I frequent, like here (though I don't even log onto Gamingforce everyday anymore). The list of sites I check out would be way too long, but basically there's at least a hundred sites that I regularly get around to visiting every few days. If I had to say some more than others, then they would be: Yahoo! Sports, ESPN, other sports news places ~ gotta keep up my fantasy teams. Xanga, Facebook, LiveJournal ~ keep up with friends online, especially since it's difficult to get together these days. slashdot, Gamasutra, Ars Technica, Tom's HW, etc. ~ nerd news and gaming news. 8-Bit Theater, VGcats, PennyArcade, etc. ~ webcomics. <3 Last.fm ~ audioscrobblin' liek wut. Gamingforce ~ sup. |
Haha, when I started I just couldn't get enough of chat rooms, instant messages, and Star Wars sites.
Also, is the person that made this thread even a regular member or was it an opportunity to advertise? |
I guess my Internet addictions would be -
gamingforce ~ I find myself spending more and more time here everyday gamespot ~ catch up on any game news that may have come out play.com ~ see what deals they have going sendit.com ~ see what deals that have going and a few other forums that I spend time on. And that is about the extent of my Internet habits as I rarely check my email, all I ever get is spam. |
Wikipedia: I've spent more time reading trivial articles there than I have studying (which explains my GPA :eagletear:).
|
Gassyforce - Some horrible forum that keeps eating my watch.
YouTube - There's a lot of garbage on the internet, YouTube stores most of it which is nice! Amazon.com.uk.jp / GameWatch / ToTheGame - To feed my shameful porn collection in video game box art form. NeoGAF - Absolute shit hole gaming forum, but it's massive, so most news somehow makes it there before any other site. Perry Bible Fellowship - OH MY YES. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/3...iancefoju7.png |
-Gamingforce and a string of other forums I check daily, and sometimes multiple times a day.
-Youtube -Wikipedia -Various sites with video game music -ESPN/NHL's websites I never got caught up in the facebook/myspace thing like everyone else. I signed up for facebook, but it seems so useless, and I still do not have a myspace. |
I usually hit up these sites at least once a day:
-GFF -Myspace -4Chan & 7Chan -Muchosucko -Ytmnd -Ihacked -Cannabis.com -Anime News Network -Rob Zombie Forum -MSI Geekarmy site -Bemanistyle -Skoopy -Torrentscan |
hongfire
4chan some other emu sites.. =^^= that's the main.. unless i got bored and once in a while jumping here and there.. |
I read them almost daily!
Wikipedia Gamekult - French site video games news Gamespot |
-Chatrooms (IRC)
-Yahoo Messenger -Gamingforce, Megatokyo, Machall, Vgcats, Penny Arcade, Cyber Nations -Torrents (I seem to want to have something to download all the time ;__; ) |
In no particular order:
Gamingforce--since I think it's more of a habit... The Sims Resource--I make stuff for the Sims Spirited Sims--it's my site--I HAVE to be there...and did I mention I make things for the Sims? |
My internet addications are as follows in no order gamingforce, zylom, myspace and isketch. for the moment anyway =P
|
Well, my internet addiction is reading interesting stuff...and news.
So, digg.com is probably the site I go almost everyday. Then comes Shoutwire.com And then Newsvine.com Also, the Onion has been my source of laughter lately (that and Scrubs episodes) But, I'm addicted to Digg (sad but true) |
Probably definitely digg and Slashdot. There have been days on which I've spent hours on end doing nothing but refresh their homepages.
Used to be this lame little forum called Video Game Chat (yes that's what it was called). Used to have a large memberbase and a GFF-comparable level of intelligence, but that's no longer true. |
I would have to say that some of random internet addictions are definetely:
1.) Gamingforce 2.) Youtube (I just need my fix of watching random 90's dance music video's and other random DDR and IIDX videos.) 3.) My local provincial forum site 4.) G4TV 5.) RPGFAN 6.) DDRFREAK 7.) Wikipedia 8.) Gamefaqs |
My addiction is the Internet itself. I'm one of those people who follows link after link down the rabbit-hole to see where it will lead me. ;)
|
I've got a few addictions...
Bittorrent/downloading music, OCRemix/Gamingforce Forums, Last.fm, StumbleUpon, Questionable Content webcomic, browsing deviantArt, Wikipedia... I should get out more ^^;; |
I leave my gmail on forever, obsessively long. Any email that appears I read immediately.
|
Torrents, music, anime, and forums.
|
I'll be honest, gamingforce hasn't been on top of my "biggest time waste" list for quite some time now. It's something like this:
1. The Awful Forums 2. Various webcomics 3. Ye Olde Something Awful 4. Gamingforce 5. Wikipedia 6. Various websites I check often enough (slashdot, hackaday.com, google news, etc) 7. nk-news.net for my more or less regular dose of North Korean propaganda. Some of that stuff is absolutely hilarious. The KCNA has a peculiar writing style, with a bunch of recurring, colorful expressions which only add to the whole thing. For example, they always have at least 3 fresh articles aimed at Japan, and they're always something like "KCNA Blasts Japan's Sinister Moves to Scuttle Six-party Talks". That's copy/pasted without any edit, another one would be: "Sinister Intention of Japanese Reactionaries in Suppressing Chongryon Debunked" or "Japan's Ambition for Militarist Reinvasion under Fire". Of course there's plenty about the US imperialists, too. |
Id have to go with youtube.com seeing videos of stupid people is more than enough to make my day
|
I used to love Digg, but now I barely frequent it because of all the fanboyism that's required to get a good story out of the depths and onto the front page.
These days though, I'm addicted to blogs. Not 'Journals per se, but blogs like Joystiq, DS Fanboy, and Destructoid. A few more sites I enjoy: Lifehacker Will Wheaton's blog Tiki Bar TV And of course, sites like Slashdot, Youtube, Ars Technica, Gamingforce, news websites (BBC, NY Times, CNN) and Apple.com's Movie Trailers. |
DEFINATLY it is youtube.com. I love to watch the Japanese movies and TV shows that are posted on there. I could watch for hours! Strangely enough, it is also a great place to see sample video of video games before you buy them.
|
Here's my list:
1. Gmail.com - I check every 2 mins 2. YouTube 3. Drudge Report 4. NYTimes 5. People.com It's a mix of trashy and classy - actually more trashy than classy. :) |
Ugh, I have too many sites that too many people post on too much, which makes me check them frequently:
- Facebook (if you're a musician, especially a string player who has orchestra and string drama to discuss, you're going to be on Facebook) - MySpace (for the drama that expands outside of the music school) - Gamingforce (for the drama spawned by the internets) - Dr. Mowinckel's Akuttmottak (for the Kaizers Orchestra -obsessed) - DeviantArt (only if I've upped a new pic, to see if I have any comments) Yeah. It's pretty distracting, and that's bad for a music major. |
1. Wikipedia
2. A couple of forums 3. Facebook 4. Email 5. Google news 6. VOW |
I spend too much time on Ciao! and dooyoo...
Not to forget checkin my email. |
mostly IRC. I do that or browse the boards while working on music. Especially when I can't think of anything.
|
1) Blueserver (A DotA server's forum)
2) Oink 3) EZTV Recently I just cannot get enough out of downloading. DOWNLOAD ADDICTIONZZZ!!! |
GFF is my first port of call, followed by (in no particular order):
allpoetry fat-pie wikipedia uncyclopedia a few other forums myspace youtube And anything anyone cares to send me over MSN. I watch things on weebls-stuff, legendaryfrog, illwillpress etc but I wouldn't call them obsessions. I also used to be addicted to quiz websites but I've passed through that phase apparently. |
GameTab
Seriously, I probably check that site every 30 minutes while on the computer. Automatic knowledge of any new gaming stories from an absolute myriad of sites including 1up, IGN, Gamespot, slashdot, Evil Avatar, and even Game Trailers??? YES PLEASE. I absolutely recommend it to any and all of you. |
Gamingforce comes before all.
Then I go onto Myspace and Wikipedia. I find myself going to Imdb many times as well. |
It seems everyone loves to avoid GaiaOnline or, at least, mention that they actually go on that site.
|
Usually GFF and Slashdot first (tabs motherfucker, do you use them?), and after that, it's anyone's guess. Usually a torrent site or two for Stargate and House, DeviantArt for wallpaper, OCR, and Wikipedia for whatever weird shit I want to look up on a given day.
Lately it's also been MSFN for my unattended Windows install project. And animemusicvideos.org to help people pirate. As for other sites I frequent that are not online communities or otherwise socially-inclined, Newegg ranks pretty much numero uno amongst them at the moment. O DAMN, that reminds me I wanted to see if they still have the rebates on the MX Revo. Back in a sec. They do. For the win, bitches. |
1. Gamingforce (home page)
2. MySpace (always my 2nd visit on the net) 3. YouTube (I think I must have like, 50 YouTube videos on my MySpace) 4. Gmail(more shit notifying me of my MySpace crap.) Yeah, I'm addicted to GFF and MySpace. Ghey. |
Gamingforce
Youtube OLRemix Hotmail GameMP3s.net sometimes TASvideos.org WOW, WHAT A USEFUL AND INFORMATIVE POST. |
Gamingforce
Gmail My bank account My dad's cousin's wife's weblog. Her dog is the main essence. <3 Various WoW related forums including guilds and whatnot. |
Penny Arcade and Wikipedia. I spend so much time on the PA forums at work that the last two times the forums crashed I got promoted at work due to the rise in productivity I had from not being on the forums all the time.
And Wikipedia. I waste so much time on wikibinges after I read an article and open a new tab for every link I come across as I read through it. |
word slinger, backgammon, and hi5.com
|
Internet Addictions...
1. Myspace.com (Yeah, can't help it...)
2. AIM 3. Xplosm.net 4. YouTube.com 5. EMAIL out the Wazoo 6. Bodybuilding.com 7. Yahoo Chess 8. Google 9. Wikipedia 10. Finding Mugen Characters BTW, hello!.... I'm new to the forums, so... Uh, hi.... again? |

gamingforce and penney arcade!
|
Current addictions:
Wikipedia, Wikiquote (more so wikiquote than wikipedia..) Digg Youtube StumbleUpon (if that counts?) Random web comics. |
Hmmmm . . . At work, I usually have GFF on. After GFF, I check OCR, youtube, fanfiction.net and the Rick Mercer Report. Oh and everyonce in a while, I get the urge to read through the entire archive of random webcomics, which is a huge pain with Penny Arcade.
|
ADC
Baka-Updates/AniDB GMail Shizmoo (w00t!) Download and more downloads :( |
The only site I have to obsessively visit throughout the day is j-poop. It's a very slow forum, so I can actually read each and every post, which is nice.
I don't visit Wikipedia too often, but when I do I can kill a good hour or two just following links through articles, maybe even throwing in an edit along the way. Quote:
|
Facebook, MySpace, mybb(school website), EBAY!, uxcell, lorifoster, imdb (i like to look up movies), alloy
|
urgh. livejournal. checking friends pages gets so tedious sometimes.
checking out my friends blogs and what not. since when did my friends have lives?!? lol. and definitely msn. spend too much time talking to my boy... end result? no homework done and/or a lot of sleepless nights. thus, i am now sick. and it sucks. |
Instant Messengers and forums, I've pretty much became an International icon, more or less. If World of Warcraft would stop being lame and work on my machine, I'd probably fully jump into that and just play it nonstop for the next three years.
|
embarrased to say...
but I'm addicted to myspace.....is there a 12-step program?!
|
livejournal, facebook and psiblade (RO) ._.
and can i say... deviantart without being flamed? =_= |
Yeah... I just got into Facebook myself. It can be quite addictive, but I'm not too deep into it yet.
The other addictions, hmm.. 1. Youtube.com 2. Spikedhumor.com 3. RPOL.net |
current addictions:
Soompi Anime News Network Aim (lol) Wikipedia ...and the usual sites I go to everyday |
Wiki
Spoofee Fatwallet Anandtech lots of music downloads... On an unrelated note to battle_cry, is the girl from your ava/sig from Spring Waltz? |

1. Facebook (and other online communities.)
2. Mugen :) 3. Forums 4. Explosm.net (Haha I love those Cyanide and Happiness comics and films.) 5. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 ( Tutorials ) 6. Web designing |
I love Youtube, Wikipedia, NASCAR.com, cbc.ca, gamingforce, dolphin olympics flash game, and Outpost Gallifrey for all the Doctor Who news!
|
My major web addiction is using msn. :D I tend to always be signed in...except for right now it seems.
|
1. Gamingforce (For obvious reason)
2. ESPN/YahooSports/etc. 3. Web Comics - CtrlAltDel, NuklearPower, etc. 4. G-Mail and my University E-Mail 5. Facebook 6. Amazon, Bestbuy, Circuitcity, NewEgg, etc. 7. Youtube |
My biggest addiction would be the massive amounts of online web comics that I read.
This along with the flurry of news sites to keep me updated with the newest tech stories. |
deviantART, myspace, facebook, last.fm and qualitysheetmusic...oh and msn messenger *blush*...I LIVE on it...
|
online addictions include a variety of webcomics (queen of wands, ctrl+alt+del, vgcats, penny-arcade, lfgcomic and explosm.net)
Uncyclopedia (google it.. it's a knock-off of wikipedia.. do a search for kitten huffing and you'll get the funniest story on the internets) 4chan.org... yes, I do visit the original hive of scum and villainy on the internet once in a while. digg.com is my main news source. When people say have you heard what happened on the news? A good deal of the time I can say I knew. a few hours ago actually thanks to this site. and last but certainly least, myspace.. the perpetual thorn in the internet. Yes I do have a myspace. may the lawling commence. |
video game forums
myspace 4chan youtube They all relate to each other in some disgusting web that I can't describe. BUT THEY ARE! |
|
Myspace, sad as it sounds
RPGFan, pretty good news on the upcomming. and stuff on the released Wikipedia, my multitool for the internet Email, obvious enough Youtube, it's youtube, lolz. Andrew Sullivan's The Daily Dish, pretty good take on current event news. Shoutwire, news all around, humorous and not |
Quote:
In which case I'm just addicted to Vemp in general. |
Daily, I usually vist the following without fail, in the order listed:
1.) Gamingforce 2.) MySpace (shut up) 3.) Gmail 4.) SlickDeals I'll kick around on those sites for a WHILE. If I have more time and less to do, I will visit SA, Rotten, Facebook, things of that nature. I am definitely addicted to GFF and MySpace, though. ;_; |
Sass posts a lot on MySpace. I attest to this fact.
|
Wikipedia
Uncyclopedia Between the two, information and misinformation galore Plus I enjoy editing the really badly written articles. Ich bin ein grammar Nazi! (Of course that was probably grammatically incorrect German...) I guess next would be Techeblog and Engadget, like to keep up with technology, well knowledge wise, too poor to actually become part of it... |
IGN: Basically trust their reviews the most and their videos are the best quality. I also like the IGN Weekly thing they do.
Gamespot: More for the user comments on reviews ESPN: Lots of visits during college football season Kotaku: Introduced this year by my roommate. Lots of gaming news on a more casual and comedic style |
Wikipedia, gamingforce and arto.dk . The latter is like a danish myspace, but it's only for teenagers. I would also like to put MSN Messenger in if it's also the point of this thread.
|
In no particular order:
MySpace Gamingforce Fark RockinHalifax (local board) |
Addictions
|
You mean porn?
|
Yes, indeed. Don't you agree? But, since this thread is not in The Sewers, I guess that's understandable.
|
1. ZeldaUniverse
2. deviantART 3. Gaia 4. PEELified |
Anandtech, Gamespot, IGN, 1up, Kotaku just to name a few.
|
- Fok.nl
- The Piratebay - YouTube .. And a lot of different forums Btw, I'm new to this forum, hello everyone! |
1. Staring at my list of downloads, and waiting for it to finish. (It never does, because by the time the list is about to be exhausted, I would have already queued 20 new downloads to be taken care of.)
2. Blowing at my computer screen hoping to increase the percentage-finished download speed. 3. Seeing what unusual phenomenons and memes them young uns cook up these days. And read/watch bizarre stuff only sick people who use the Internet can ever dream of and have access to. 4. Wikipedia! I love Wikipedia. |
Social sites. I could not believe how long its been since the last time I chatted with friends from old, and it's pretty addicting to play "catch up" with high school and college buddies.
|
I'm not too much 'obsessed' with anything on the internet, though i do play my brothers hab server and go on forums, etc.
|
Wikipedia: I'll go just to look up something really fast, usually about video games, and I'll somehow end up learning about Medical Fetishism. I don't even remember how I reached that page.
GFF: I'm mostly ignored, yet I still come back here. Reasons unknown. |
www.neomonsterisland.com that's my addiction. plain and simple.
|
Quote:
To me it's Facebook mainly, then Wikipedia, Uncyclopedia (allthough that gets kind of monotonous pretty quick) and occasionally Gamingforce. |
http://amplovesyou.net/
4chan, the other -chans and GreatestJournal are fine too. I should get back to reading webcomics or something. |
I don't really have any addiction. My main desire on the computer is checking the latest news and rumors of my local sports teams, but I really don't need any of that because when a deal goes down it goes down. You will find out via TV or radio ultimately anyway.
But when I am without a computer for a week or so that is what I really want to know. The rumors of my teams and stuff. The only real thing I am ADDICTED to is music, but that really isn't internet. The downloading itself is, but not the listening. |
-Torrent Sites
-Porn -Forums -FFXI That pretty much sums it up for me. Torrent Sites been the main since I can't seem to go one day w/o trying to download something...anything...as long as I know I'm getting my money's worth for my broadband. |
e-mail, bank accounts, myspace/livejournal/facebook, gff, modthesims2, xboxlive.
So pretty much online profile/blogs, game sites. Oh, and ebay. Quote:
|
I'm embarrassed to say I spend alot of my time on stupid flash game sites! I jsut get so damn bored and need something to kill time...
I'm a student... so frankly, aside from d/l stuff, i'd rather waste time chatting or playing a pointless game than study ehhehe |
-forums (most of my time goes to this)
-wikipedia -blogger -news -last.fm -youtube -games |
Wikipedia, Foruming (GamingForce), and Crazy Anime
|
Oo, interesting thread.
Usually the order in which I check things often goes something like this: 1. GamingForce Forums - ever since the whole music database went down and it turned into a forum, I've had it as my homepage and there was always something interesting to read or add to :) 2. Facebook - because I'm a tool :( 3. Break.com - for amusing videos, but lately it's been pretty junk, and the comments are getting really annoying 4. ebay.ca - search for my regular items in search for deals :3 |
Youtube: truely, the last bastion of decent mugen stuff (and that is in no way the fault the mods here, thier hand was forced on the matter)
Podcasts: Godamnit, Clarissa, get your freaking episode of Anime World Order out already! You Don't know jack: It's just so much fun to play, sorta like light speed sodoku, also it lightens up my Monday with the "full" games. Internet Explosions: I particluary enjoy watching the internet explode over trival or not so trivial matters (The "Nymphet" issue, the "Director hates Bokurano manga"). Occasioanly faning the flames of war for personal lols. |
Hm, GFF, Facebook, OiNK, deviantART, IMDB, Youtube, and Last.FM
Heh. |
My internet addiction is to streaming videos. It is just so easy and I can watch whatever I want at any time. Internet video streaming is just so convenient.
|
Sheesh!
Lately Ive been thinking of stopping my addiction. Im addicted to art tutorials. I have close to a hundred dvd/cd tutorials on painting both traditional and digital. Heck, I have all those Gnomon Analog dvds about dozen Oil painting videos from Smartflix.com all titles from Digitalarttutorials.com a few from APVfilms.com.. all issues from 2dartistmag.com, Computer Arts etc and 10 gigabytes of ebooks and artbooks! I cant get enough. So is there a ftp here that has tutorials? and the thing is, I've only watched 5 or 6 of them and never read any of the books, I just look at the pictures lol. btw heres a sample of my artwork: http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/1...tombsw9.th.jpg |
Facebook (outrageously addictive, when you have 50+ people who are also on it all the time)
Gamingforce (sometimes...mostly in the summer, when I have time to follow posts and such) MySpace (not as entertaining as Facebook, but I like surveys/bulletins) DeviantART Wikipedia (yeah, I do waste a lot of time discovering nuggets of completely useless information) and Downloading in general, especially via DC++. Especially searching out random viola recordings, which is my primary musical hobby. |
1. Myspace.com
2. google.com 3. gamingforce.com That's about as far as my internet exploring goes.. |
Digg, Facebook, Gamingforce, and Jpopsuki.
Besides that, I either code sites or waste time. edit//Also news but since I uninstalled Flock I've been falling off and just checking Engadget and PS3Fanboy. |
Lets see...
Gamingforce: duh. Encyclopedia Dramatica.: I did it for the lulz. 4chan: i hurd u liek mudkips. irc.helldive.net/#redarmyoflol: my irc irc.bantown.com/#ed: ED irc There are a few others, but these are the main ones. |
I work at the information desk in my university's student center. So, when I'm not telling people how to find the bathrooms, I'm trying to pass the time by diddling around on the interwebs.
I'm totally addicted to blogs. Almost any kind of blogs. Particularly feminist ones, personal ones, and those kept by writers. Mmm blogs. Gaming-themed webcomics are also like crack to me: Penny Arcade, Fanboys, VGcats, Looking For Group, Awkward Zombie, etc., etc. Random miscellaneous goodies such as GirlsArePretty.com also tickle me. |
