Colts vs. Bears. Who's gonna win Kurado!?
Man, tomorrow's the big game. I GOT SPANISH ESPN also! Who do you guys want to win, and who do you guys think will win? I'd edging towards the Colts here, but it's finally one of those games for me that I'll be happy with either side winning. I just wish the Patriots hadn't let that last game go! FUCK!
|
ESPN Deportes ain't no joke, son,
I want the bears, I pick the Colts. Whoo. |

I'm going with the Bears all the way. Peyton Manning will have his anual playoff collapse and the Bears D will pick him apart. My nigga Muhsin Muhammad best get some looks, too.
|
Thread title spelling fixed. :)
I haven't really followed NFL this year, but based on the games I have been able to watch, I would say the Colts. They seem to have been more inspired in their march to the top. The tide of popular opinion might push the Bears to a spectactular performance a la Florida in the BCS championship, though. |
Want the Bears to win, but the Colts probably will.
Though, the spinmeisters on ESPN are good at using the time between the championships and the Super Bowl to say, "(Immediately after the championships) We're saying this team is gonna win because they're the favorites...(within a week of the Super Bowl) now this team is gonna win because they're such resounding underdogs and no one's rooting for them...(days leading up to and the day of the Super Bowl) team one's gonna win for sure." |
I'm really not sure. I picked the Colts though, in hopes that Peyton will finally get that Super Bowl victory he's been longing for. Unfortunately, his past hasn't been very promising in playoff games, and the Bears do look like they have a lot of confidence with Grossman leading the way. Finally, if the weather is as predicted, I wonder how Manning will handle it. Maybe they'll run it, and he won't have to worry about being picked off :P
|
Hmm, more people want the Bears to win but more people (just one though) think the Colts will win. Less than an hour, I'm pretty excited. First Superbowl I'll sit down to watch at home since... Hmm. Since the Patriots first Superbowl win in 2002.
And thanks for the fix on the title, Drex. It was so glaring I didn't even ask for it to be changed out of shame. |
Die Colts! Die!
And that ain't German! (but I think they'll win if I were betting money) |
Going for the Bears all the way. Super bowl shuffle aint no thang.
|
Bears score in fourteen fucking seconds. Is that a Superbowl record?
|
Why did the crowd boo the guy named Mohammed?

o indy u
|
Manning threatened to /wrists if he didn't win. Chicago just felt sorry him.
:( |
Yay im from indy ftw!!!111 Party Party!
|
Rex Grossman should change his name to either Neil O'Donnel or possibly Kordel Stewart after that pathetic performance.
|
My god, what a horrible performance. What the hell was that pop fly Rexman threw? Muhammad deserves better than him. I demand he comes back to the Panthers. Now.
|
I blame Grossman most of all. Threw interceptions at the worst possible times. Jones could've ran more, would've helped the running game if Benson wasn't out so early. And those two back-to-back fumbles? Ridiculous.
|
Rex Grossman = fuckup.
Colts = lucky enough to take advantage of the fuckup. Pah...The Ravens could've used this free win. Next year... |
God, that opening kick TD return by Hester was friggin beautiful. I don't even wanna see what headline the Sun-Times is gonna throw at my ass tomorrow...
|
Eh, to be fair to Grossman, the rest of the Bears were kinda totally lame tonight too. Too bad about Benson getting taken out, because the offense REALLY hurt without him. Even the defense seemed to be out of it for most of the second half. Meh.
Grossman still sucks, mind you, but you can't blame him entirely for that game. It was a team effort. Credit where credit's due, though...the Colts did a good job on offense, and even their defense outplayed the Bears's D, which was pretty surprising. |

Man, after that rocky start the Colts came back like fucking champions. Manning and the Colts deserve that shit.
|
Fuck Yeahh!!! Colts won!!
|
With the Colts great offense and the Bears highly-touted defense, I thought this matchup was going to be one of those "irresistible force meets immovable object" type deals, but it wasn't even close. Aside from Hester's runback, it was a no-contest. How you gonna recover a fumble and then give it right back to 'em on the very next play? That's just unacceptable, regardless of the weather conditions. The loss can't be totaly placed on Grossman's doorstep but I think most of it should. They were still in the game when he threw that INT that led to a touchdown.
Anyways, congrats to Dungy, Manning and the rest of the Colts... especially, Dungy. I really like that guy. The league couldn't have had a better ambassador to achieve such a huge milestone. Keep up the good work, playah. |
Yeah, the head coach seems like a really good guy. It was funny because the Spanish translators seemed extra happy that he was such a man of God.
I started to feel bad for the Bears when they went for it on the fourth down with five minutes left and the guy caught it but got his so hard he let it go. And that other time when Grossman fucked up hard two plays in a row fumbling around with the ball. |
Yay, Colts won. But more importantly, Dungy won.
Dungy is a great guy in all respects, and I really respect him as the coach of an NFL team and as a person. Grossman did alright in terms of completion percentage. If he had better control of the ball when it was snapped, and better decision making when he dropped back to pass in the second half, it would have been a tad closer game. But Indy did stomp all over the Bear's D. 81 plays, 24 First Downs and 430 Total Net Yards versus what the Colts gave up on defense is pretty extreme (though Grossman didn't exactly allow the Bear's defense to rest, and combining that with what Manning does to defenses is pretty harsh). |
Indy won. Fine. Now the rest of the world can shut the hell up about how fucking awesomely awesome Peyton Manning is and how he's so underrated. Manning didn't win the Super Bowl. Grossman lost it.
However, it's my opinion that every Super Bowl should be held in the pouring rain. The first eight minutes of play were the greatest I've ever seen in the Bowl. Slapstick makes every football game better. Totally makes up for the piss-poor commercial selection. |
I didn't even get to see the awesome commercials in this country. Ah well. Also, cool that two records were set yesterday.
|
I'm just a little bit angrier now that I've learned that the Bears had Brian Griese on the bench. What were they waiting for? Grossman has sucked dick all year and he wasn't going to have a miraculous turnaround in the last half of the last game of the year. (And the most important nonetheless.) Griese has started for a team and has been somewhat successful... or at least more successful than Grossman has been.
|
I don't know what's funnier; Grossman fumbling two plays in a row, or Rock Paper Scissors. I'm trying to be fair to the Bears, but... damn they dropped 8 miles after stepping up just a foot after the first 14 seconds.
|
So Grossman wasn't playing this way all season long? Did he choke or what? Who do you guys think would've won had both teams been at their best?
|

Grossman has been playing pretty poor since the horrid game he had against the Cardinals (where he turned the ball over far too many times, and it was the defense that won it for them). I think that was a huge confidence and he never recovered throughout the rest of the season. Like he made so mistakes he never should have made (cause there were times at the beginning of the season where he posted 250+ yards and 3 TDs easily). |
