Since other people in the other thread have been complaining about relatively obscure games and screenshots being unguessable, I figured instead of forcing the other thread into going into a string of really simple and easy screenshots from Final Fantasy X, we might as well make a seperate thread for those who would rather have easier screenshots. This way, everyone's happy, right?

And that's what this thread is for. Same rules as last time. Post a pic. As soon as someone guesses it correctly, they get a point and they get to post a screen.

Just a note: I won't be participating in this one, I like the sort of things posted in the other thread better.

I was mocking your sample. There is no way someone who doesn't recognize a PS2 launch title would know Every Extend Extra. I'll pass my turn over to the next person anyway.

I didn't want to insult their intelligence by posting Final Fantasy 6. A game that you can currently pick up off of EB shelves for a handheld that's currently out seems like it wouldn't be too difficult, especially since googling ""Next Extend" game" will tell you the answer.

Anyway, enough of this. This is proof positive that we need an easier thread, since even my "easy" isn't easy enough. Let's see if they take advantage of this thread instead of us fucking it up with idle conversation any further.

To be honest, I've recognized a much higher percentage of games in the obscure thread than in this thread. And the number of titles I've heard of but didn't recognize is about equal for both. I'm not sure why this is, perhaps it's the types of games I buy.

the only card game like that on gamecube I can think of is Baten Kaitos and I don't remember seeing her in the original so I will say Baten Kaitos: Origins but still I'm not so sure... (that screen shot look more like a action game then an rpg...

I always thought this was an obscure game even after I got it from Ebay, but it's not after I saw it en masse in a bargain bin.

Yeah, it was LK1.

That's because it is a real-time action RPG. I knew it wasn't exactly popular, but I didn't think of it as being particularly obscure, either. It seems like the phrase "card game" scares people away more than it should, whether or not it's really much like an actual card game.

I would have played this for a long time since it looked neat, but the controls were annoying.

The controls drove me nuts as well, so I sold mine. Been recently replaying the game on my PSP and it's quite atmospheric. If still hideously frustrating cause of the viewpoint.

Oh, Clock Tower 3, isn't it? I wouldn't have had any idea were it not for the fact that I played the game for the first time a few weeks ago.

I was going to guess Clock Tower 2 since I remember that Alyssa sort of had that uniform and read a letter, but I remember that it looked nowhere as good as that cap (PS1 obviously) but it didn't dawn on me to think of CT3. Aagh, close, but not close enough.

Total Annihilation, isn't it? I remember there must have been hundreds and hundreds of user-made units available; made the game a bit confusing once I had so many.

Yup, it's Total Annihilation. I think at least a few dozen units and structures were added in the expansion, and then there were user-made packs of them too. I think one compilation pack had to start removing old units to make room for new ones because they reached the limit of 512.

Also, TA's spiritual sequel (a very worthy one at that), Supreme Commander, releases later this week.

Yeah, I've seen my brother playing the demo. The sheer size of the battlefields is amazing.

The first one was highly regarded, but I thought it was pretty bad. BioWare hasn't ever come out with a game that I've liked. And to Inhert: the second one got much worse reviews than the first.

Both NW games averaged reviews in the 80 percentile range. I wouldn't say that is bad at all.

Sorry I took so long, was on vacation, but yes it is indeed "WTF" (Aka. "Work Time Fun"). Quite a hilarious and frustrating little gem for the PSP. First shot from the Matchmaker job, and the second from the Karate Punch job.

Aye, this is X-COM: Email Games. Most people are not aware of it's existence despite the popularity it used to enjoy back in the days. It's still a good game in my opinion, from time to time I play some matches with my friends and prefer it over Laser Squad Nemesis (which needs monthly pay).
