Best Movie Based Games You Have Played

What are the best movie based games you have played? A game can be either based directly on a movie and it's story (i.e. 'Goldeneye', 'The World Is Not Enough') or just have something to do with a movie or movie series (i.e. a prequal like 'The Chonicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay'). My top games:

1)The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Buthcer Bay -- Great gameplay, combination of gameplay (FPS, stealth, exploration), great story, great graphics, great audio, great music, really good acting. I don't think I'll ever get tired of playing this game.

2)Goldeneye -- The first movie based game that I played. While its only mode of gameplay is FPS, it's really fun, gives you good objectives to complete, gives you more objectives to do when you raise the difficulty level, the highest difficulty level can be pretty hard.

3)Everything or Nothing -- Great Bond game. Best Bond game not based on a movie, really good story, has a great cast, really good acting, diverse game play, nice to look at, Sean Callery composed great music, good audio, a fairly long game.

4)The Godfather (XBOX 360 version) -- A pretty good adaptaion of the movie. Brought in some plot points from the second movie. A really long game. It took me a little over 39 hours to do the story missions, take over all store fronts, rackets, favors, merchant favors, contract hits, and take control over all of New York. The faces of the main characters look great. It's nice that most of the actors from the movie voiced their own characters. Al Pacino is missed. I wish EA did a better job of upgrading the visuals for the 360. The music is nice, sounds like it did from the movies.

5)Nightfire -- Second best original-story Bond game, fun and diverse gameplay, nice graphics, the music and audio are both good. The only bad thing is that the game is too short.

6)The World Is Not Enough (N64 version) -- Great adaption of the movie, really fun to play. Good multiplayer, good unlockables for the multiplayer, music is good, the graphic were good for their time. Nice level design.

7)From Russia With Love -- Captures the feel of the movie very well, Sean Connery is back as James Bond, the faces of the characters look just like their movie counterparts, excellent music that sounds very much like John Barry's Bond music, game is fun to play, long game. The one bad thing is that EA changed the driving controls. I don't know why, the previous Bond games had great driving controls.

8)Agent Under Fire -- Third best original-story Bond game. Fun to play, good music, but it's too short and easy.

9)Aeon Flux -- I got this game two days ago. I just started level four (of seven). So I can't give a complete review, but I like it so far. It's better than I thought it would be. When I get through with the game it might go up the list. The gameplay is fun, the graphics and audio are nice. The music is good. Charlize Theron lent her likeness and voice to the game, but it does sound like she is board with everything. One negative, sometimes the camera is pulled a little to far from the action. I finished this yesterday (3/13/06). This was at number 9 behind T3:The Redemption, but after beating it I can say it's better than that game. The game is fairly easy, but the final battle is a little too hard. This game fills the gap between the TV series and the movie. A 400 year gap.

10)Terminator 3:The Redemption -- Expands on the story of the third Terminator movie, long game, diverse gameplay, good music. Bad thing is that the game can be too hard, to add to this, there are no check points, so if you die at the end of a level you have to start all over. What makes this painful is that the levels are long.

11)Goldeneye:Rogue Agent -- Great concept, but average game. Gameplay is clunky, but the music is good, great characters from old Bond movies. Christoper Lee and Judi Dench supplied their voices for Scaramanga and M, respectively.

12)Catwoman -- yeah, yeah I know the movie stunk, but I'm a BIG fan of Halle Berry. I like listening to her say the one-liners that are in the game. The game is actually better than the movie. The music is actually pretty good. The game version of Halle looks good, though not as good as the real Halle, but better than the CGI Halle from the movie.

Hell, I've just been playing The Warriors and I'm surprised at just how good it is. There haven't been too many brawlers recently (and I've heard the new Final Fight isn't so hot) so it's nice to see that a game company was able to do a modern take on the genre. It's definitely not Streets of Rage, but at least it knows it's a video game...based on a movie.

Side note: This week I rented The Warriors for PS2 and Doom: The Movie. Consider that for a moment.

*AkirA* Mar 10, 2006 02:08 AM

I think you just named every movie based game ever made.

Kilroy Mar 10, 2006 02:12 AM

Rogue Agent? Catwoman? My god, both games was seriously some of the worst games ever... The gameplay bad, graphics clunky (Well, in Catwoman they played the: Let's make all the bad guys identical and make everything shiny!-card) Even the proffesional actors hired couldn't save the games for being disasters...
Each to his own, though...

Spider-Man 2 still's the bar when I think about 'movies to games'. The structure was a bit annoying, I grant you that, but it was simply amazing to swing around New York, thanks to some brilliant swing-physics and a good graphic engine.

xman25 Mar 10, 2006 02:15 AM

I didn't say Rogue Agent and Catwoman were good games, I included them because I played them and they are movie based games. There is a reason why they are at the bottom of the list.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and to a lesser extent KOTOR2.

Since KOTOR was basically GOTY 2003, I'd say there isn't much of a contest here. It's one of the few games that managed to get me to play it as much as possible until completion (Other games in recent memory with such a distinction are Fable and Beyond Good and Evil.) Not to mention I played through KOTOR immediately a second time as an evil character (Although, I admittedly did the same with Fable, but I wasn't as motivated.)

The Chronicles of Riddick is also pretty damn good. One hell of a good FPS, honestly overshadowing most regular FPS games.

The Punisher is a damn cool game, despite how the gimmick of torturing people gets old after a while, but some of the torture scenes are just fantastic.

Star Wars: Jedi Academy is also pretty damn cool, although I really wish they would make a Star Wars game with more precise lightsaber action scenes (Revolution, anyone?)

Goldeneye is always awesome, but more for it's multiplayer than it's single-player campaign. Everything or Nothing has it easily beat in that respect.

jRev Mar 10, 2006 02:30 AM

I'd have to say Lego Star Wars and Fate of Atlantis. KOTOR too, but that's already been mentioned.

I don't think anyone could actually dislike Lego Star Wars. And Indy's branching paths, multiple puzzle solutions and great use of the license make it a timeless adventure game classic. Can't say I cared much for the voices in the talkie version, though.

Also, now that I think about it, I really liked Jurassic Park on the SNES. I was trying to get my hands on anything that resembled Wolfenstein 3-D back then, so the first-person segments were right up my alley.

Snowknight Mar 10, 2006 08:12 AM

My vote goes in for Spiderman 2 and The Chronicles of Riddick: EFBB.
Spiderman 2 was simply fun. Granted, gameplay was a bit... clunky at times. (Why did I just run into a building again? ;_; )
However, the ability to freely roam around the city (and actually touch the ground this time) is wonderful. Not to mention the sheer amount of crap to collect and complete.

The Chronicles of Riddick was excellent as well; I was addicted to it for a good time...
It's one of the few games--especially out of 'movie games'--that's able to pull off first-person stealth well.

Simo Mar 10, 2006 08:55 AM

I think all of the best titles have already been mentioned but I'll go back a ways and mention Die Hard Trilogy for the PSone. I rented that game constantly with Die Hard 2 & 3 being my favourite out of the 3 "sections" as Die Hard 1 pissed me off to no end with that "Find the bomb" at the end of every level.

Other top titles include Spider-Man 2 which while it got repetive at times, especially with the civilian missions, the webswinging mechanics and the ability to freeroam through the city was excellent.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay. Excellent FP game that as mentioned is one of the few games to pull of FP Stealth well but also FP Hand to Hand combat too. Beautiful graphics with some excellent voice action and a memorable soundtrack.

Blade Runner was another I liked. Of course it was an adventure game so that helped but replicating the sets and environments from the film as well as tracks from Vangelis' score helped recreate the mood and feel of the film in the game perfectly.

Memorable mentions: Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King & GoldenEye.

russ Mar 10, 2006 11:59 AM

Goldeneye is such a good game that I never really even consider it a game based on a movie. Because games based on movies aren't typically good things. How can the best game on a console be based on a movie? It boggles the mind.

If you consider Kotor and Kotor II movie based games, then they obviously rank right up there with Goldeneye, but I find it difficult to really consider many of the Star Wars games as being movie based games, with the exception of the ones based directly on one of the films.

Sharath Mar 10, 2006 12:17 PM

Spiderman : Go Beyond the Movie is a good game...voice acting/action/graphics all are good..best was the gameplay and villians.

Its not exactly a movie based game...but it is almost based on the movie.

I still remember when this got released..it was the first game that dint work on my old p3 system (cause dint have graphics card).

vuigun Mar 10, 2006 12:24 PM

Scooby Doo: Cyber Chase for GBA...It wasn't really good or entertaining but it was the only Movie Based game I have ever played.

I felt so dumb and used for buying it that I pretty much swore of Movie Based games for good. >_>

Now that I think about it, I must have really been naive at the time to buy a Scooby doo game and expect it to be good, expect for the Scooby Doo game I had for the SNES which I enjoyed.

speculative Mar 10, 2006 01:39 PM

I liked the Star Wars games for SNES. I actually picked up a used copy of Empire because it's my favorite. The pseudo-3d flying levels were pretty impressive for the SNES era if you think about it. The difficulty level is probably the only drawback, but they were decent titles and I enjoyed them.

I own about 45 titles between my PS2 and GC, and I don't think one of them is a title based on a movie. Although Spider-man 2 does indeed look good.

Wojo Mar 10, 2006 02:13 PM

Defenitly The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay and Goldeneye. Riddick just had amazing visuals and if you were a fan of the movies you can really like the game too. Goldeneye is one of my favorite FPSes ever so naturally I picked that one.

Acro-nym Mar 10, 2006 05:59 PM

Goldeneye and Spider-Man 2 are my two personal favorites in this category. I think people have already expressed my sentiments towards these games. However, Lego Star Wars is pretty good, albeit short and easy.

Freelance Mar 10, 2006 06:09 PM

Man, nobody mentioned the king of movie-based games, Tie Fighter. That game is a total blast. I wonder if anyone actually hates the game. I wish I could play it again, but on the Windows platform and a new joystick.

Pretty much any old LucasArts Star Wars or Indiana Jones games were awesome, such as Dark Forces and Fate of Atlantis. More recent games I've enjoyed are Indiana Jones and The Emperor's Tomb and SW Episode 1: Racer. They sure know how to make movie-based games good, unlike most other companies.

Another noteworthy title is AvP 2. You can play as an Alien, people! It doesn't get any better than that.

NovaX Mar 10, 2006 08:33 PM

Definately Goldeneye. Probably my second favourite game on N64, and my favourite FPS shooter. Hours of fun, hours of laughs and hours of pure gaming blissdom.

Zero Mar 10, 2006 08:59 PM

Goldeneye is definitely my all time favorite movie-based game. But beside this one, another I found excellent was King Kong. Playing this game was an amazing experience. They captured the tension and the feel of the movie throwing you in the action almost all the time without backtracking or finding keys and solving puzzles. Playing as Kong never gets old and smashing T-Rex too bits was so much fun.

Other of my favorite movie-based games are Everything or Nothing, From Russia With Love, The Chronicles of Riddick, Star Wars KOTOR, Racer, Lego, Rogue Leader, Republic Commando and Jedi Power Battle.

Kaiten Mar 10, 2006 09:06 PM

Aladdin for the Sega Genesis was always a great game. The challenging gameplay, graphics drew me in almost instantly. More platform games should look this good.

Jawa Podracer Mar 11, 2006 10:22 AM

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Academy, and Rogue Squadron all stand out quite well in my mind. KotOR for the immersive-ness into the world, Jedi Academy for the multiplayer and Lightsaber-weilding, and Rogue Squadron was just awesome. Especially Hoth.

evilboris Mar 11, 2006 04:29 PM

True Lies, Terminator 2: Arcade (SNES and Aladdin (Megadrive) are awesome. Haven't played many others (or none come to mind atm).

subferno Mar 11, 2006 08:15 PM

A game I thought was really good was Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle Earth. Its a PC RTS game with great production value.

orion_mk3 Mar 11, 2006 09:32 PM

I suppose you could consider Kingdom Hearts to be a movie-based game; that and some of the better Star Wars games (KOTOR in particular) would take the cake for me. There's no point in splitting hairs, though; 99% of all movie-based games are spiritual successors to E.T. for the 2600.

Meth Mar 12, 2006 02:39 AM

Hook for SNES - a kinda quirky side scroller based on the 1991 spielberg movie. The game had a kick ass soundtrack straight from the movie. I still pick it up and play through it every now and then. The game was actually put out by sony imagesoft back when sony had ties with nintendo and was propositioning the "playstation" snes cd, add on.

The game as actually inspired me to do concept art and design doc planning for a cool peter pan game. just imagine exploring the island, flying around in 3d, fighting pirates... it would be the shit.

Yuna Mar 16, 2006 10:11 PM

KOTOR is in my top list of games, but since Star Wars is a lot more than movies nowadays it's not fair with the other to put it in the "movie game" category.

About the others:
[b]Batman Begins[b/] is a great Spliner Cell wannabe, I really liked this game especially because I jus recently became a fan of SC.
Spiderman Movie, the 2nd is better, I know, but I played a lot more of the first.
Unfortunatly I haven't played Chronicles of Riddick yet, but I'm working on it.

NES Oldskooler Mar 17, 2006 01:18 AM

I really liked Star Wars Episode 1: Podracer.

At the time of it coming out, I hadn't played a game that actually got across a great sense of speed, and the whole upgrading and boost system worked well. I still think it was the only good thing to come out of that movie.

Also, once you unlock it, you can light other people on fire with the last pod's taunt. It wasn't just a minor singe, or like throwing hot strips of bacon at them, it was a full-fledged explosion. But by that point you've already beaten the entire game... :edgartpg:

Prinnydood Mar 17, 2006 02:36 PM

I would say my favorite movie based game is Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. Fun all around. Second is a more accurate movie based game, King Kong. I rented it and even though some parts got old after a while and it was very linear, that the tension just never let up.

xman25 Oct 3, 2006 10:20 PM

I updated my list (first post in thread) with the 360 version of The Godfather. I put the game at number four. I got the game based on Alias last week for the XBOX. I know Alias is a TV show and not a movie, but I've decided to include games based on TV shows. I'll put Alias on the list when I'm done playing it. I'm going to try to find a copy of Dark Angel for the XBOX.

xman25

Kloak Oct 3, 2006 11:05 PM

I was wondering and not sure but..

Can i put FInal Fantasy VII down on this list?
Technically the movie is a continuation of the game but not an actual remake of the game...Then again so is Resident Evil and that movie was horrible so I decided NOT to put that down

xman25 Oct 3, 2006 11:10 PM

No, it's movie made into a game, not game made into a movie. Game into a movie would be a whole different topic.

I was a big fan of the Game Gear version of Jurassic Park, it followed the movie really well. Especially the part where you dodge tornados by ducking underneath them and the levels where you'd have to run faster than the car along a Green Hill Zone style ground in order to shoot rocks and dinosaurs that would appear out of nowhere while making sure to collect floating cans of petrol.

I remember that part in the movie it was so great. ^____^

ALADDIN. BEST MOVIE BASED GAME BEFORE GOLDENEYE.

Seriously, it was one of the best games on the Megadri- I mean, Genesis. The second level was always my favorite (desert level) along with the bonus levels where you had to control Apu and dodge falling pots out of windows. Good times.

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/864/aladdinkx7.gif

HOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE THIS? It had awesome sound effects, too.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Oct 4, 2006 07:33 AM

The two KOTOR games are amongst my favourite games of all time and the Lego Star Wars games are incredible too.

I have to say though, I really enjoyed Enter the Matrix. It wasn't the best game ever by any means but it was a lot of fun running up walls into groups of SWAT guys and beating them to death with their own rifles in slow motion. Sadly the sinping sections were really poorly executed which made finishing the game more frustrating than fun. I gave up at Ghost's sniping section in the power plant.

ashaman Oct 6, 2006 10:32 AM

I haven't played many movie-based games since the 16-bit era so my picks are a little outdated.

1. Jurassic Park: The Lost World (PS1) Extremely addicting game where you can play as a compy, raptor, T-rex, or boring old humans. I loved the different options you had with each dinosaur. With the T-Rex you could choose to eat someone and then just toss him, or just sit there and roar and scare everyone away. From what I've seen, movie games of today probably include much more depth and immersion, but being released a decade ago this game was way ahead of its time. The absolute best part of it was the soundtrack. It was fully orcherstrated, no synth, a redbook audio, and composed by an unknown named Michael Giachinno who would later go on to compose for the Medal of Honor games, Alias, Lost, and The Incredibles, and is now considered a full-blown movie composer. I still listen to this soundtrack on an almost daily basis (my computer sound scheme is based it).

2. Aladdin (Genesis): All the reasons mentioned in posts above.

That's the extent of my positive movie game experiences. I loved many of the Star Wars games (Rebel Assault) but those almost require a category all to themselves. The only other movie games that I can remember playing are Friday the 13th, Gremlins II, and Predator (all NES) and I don't have any positive memories of them.

I personally liked the SNES Aladdin more though they were both excellent.

Star Wars definitely has way too many games to be included here. Rebel Assault was uber-awesome though.

I remember this game pretty well too, as the Game Gear was my first system I must have beaten this game +10 times. It was great that it could be beaten in like an hour.

Other than the obvious ones, the Lord of the Rings beat-em ups by EA (Two Towers and ROTK) were pretty good.

As for a very obscure title, Home Alone on game gear. The game looks like dirt, but actually had some good game play for its time (though has aged horribly imo). You could plan traps and make weapons, which was really cool to me at the time.

TheKnightOfNee Oct 6, 2006 11:55 AM

The Lion King for SNES (was it also for Genesis? Probably) was a pretty good one. I liked it better than Aladdin.

28Link Oct 6, 2006 02:38 PM

Star Wars Episode I: Racer

That was really the only movie based game I remember playing, aside from the letdown that was X-Men 3 game (I swear, it would have been a lot better if they just cut the Wolverine missions). Anyway, podracing reminded me of F-Zero + diverse track/environments. The track designs were awsome, even though some of them can get really hard (Mos Eisley, full track version comes to mind). It's also nice that, for once, you get to repair your craft on the fly.

My top 5 games based on movies. Not surprisingly, all five games are from the same company. LucasArts has a knack with making excellent movie-to-game conversions.

http://www2.fileplanet.com/images/10000/10636ss_sm2.jpg
Dark Forces, one of the best FPS' ever. It actually had a story line, excellent voice acting as always, and it was set in the Star Wars universe. The only bad part was that you couldn't use light sabers.

http://www.lucasarts.com/products/st...r/snap_042.jpg
Star Wars Episode 1: Racer, an excellent racing game with uber-fast speed, great music, and lots of awesome locales. Sure, episodes 1-3 sucked, but who cares. This game rocks.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...TIEFighter.jpg
Tie Fighter Collector's CD-ROM, one of the best games ever to grace the PC, if not the best. Highly recommended.

http://media.teamxbox.com/games/ss/392/1037020106.jpg
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. The combat system used in this game is one of the best things about it. Definitely captures the Indy magic like in the movies.

http://www.juegomania.org/Indiana+Jo...b3.5%22%5d.jpg
Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis, a definite classic in the days of point-and-click adventures, with great characters, three different paths to the end, and a good score.

UPDATE: CRAP! I didn't know I had already posted in this thread before. Oh well, this new post has PICTURES. You mods, you can go delete the other post I made. Yok yok! It's #16.

Golfdish from Hell Oct 7, 2006 12:24 AM

Back to the Future for the NES...Great game actually. It was a major challenge for me, but one of those where I can really get "in the zone". Have never beaten it though...

And both SNES and Genesis Aladdin were some of the better platformers of their time.

And while it is hardly my "favorite" movie-based game (though, sadly, it probably is close), I do enjoy ET for the Atari 2600 and stand by my comments that people who honestly believe it was responsible for any kind of video game crash have no idea what they're talking about.*

Note: NOT directed at orion, who mentioned this earlier in the thread...I was talking more in general (mainstream press, general perception, etc.).

ashaman Oct 7, 2006 01:27 AM

Oh yea, Back to the Future was fun but hard as hell. I could never beat those later "soda shop" levels where you had to throw drinks at enemies.

Two more games to my list:
Terminator CD Sega CD: Came out during a time when T2 the Arcade Game was all the rage and yet was based on the first movie. Don't remember too much about the game other than the walk cycles were cool (I think the game ran at 60 fps so the animations ran smoother than anything I had seen). It was an okay shooter/platformer, but the soundtrack was awesome. Like Aladdin, this is another Tommy Tallarico soundtrack and I loved it all the way. When other games only had 16-bit midi sound, this Sega CD game used live rock tracks which blew the Sega midi sounds away. Destinationz Unknown is still one of my favorite songs of all time.

Cliffhanger (Sega CD): A rather common fighter in the vain of Final Fight (but with snow!). The snow boarding levels were different and added a little variety, and the FMVs from the movie were standard fare for Sega CD games at the time. But, once again, the soundtrack is what made this game rock. They used the full movie symphonic soundtrack which was amazing considering everything else at the time was midi sound. Best of all, I bought this game for $2.00 and it had the redbook audio of the entire movie soundtrack so I saved the $13 I would have spent on buying the movie OST (which I ended up buying anyways).

Finally, does Kingdom Hearts 1,2 count in this discussion? Considering each level pretty much recreates an entire movie plot, I would think they would fit in. If so, they take my top spots. :)

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Oct 7, 2006 12:03 PM

Edit: Oh, FUCK ME.

Someone can delete this. I didn't see how OLD the post I was quoting was.

Well the main reason is probably because I owned an SNES and only played the Genesis one on emulators. It was just more colorful and I loved the Genie stage.

Burp Oct 8, 2006 12:12 AM

Allright, of course that i love mostly all games that... well... everybody loves? (specially Goldeneye) but also, True Lies was a really good game on SNES, it was really underrated in those years.

Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire its another title that i like a lot, i know that the replay value of the game isnt too high but it was a very well made it, fresh and interesting title in the first n64 era.

The Wise Vivi Oct 8, 2006 01:11 PM

There have been some good movie to games.... The usual Goldeneye, and Star Wars for SNES. Those are the only real Star Wars games I have played as well. Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade was a cool game for SNES (or was it NES?) but I had a hard time spelling the name of Jesus... (I think it was supposed to be an I? Not a J...?)

Erisu Kimu Oct 9, 2006 09:31 AM

I don't know about all the new movie-based games that are out right now, since I've never played any...but I do know that "Batman" for the NES was nicely done even though it contained a few characters here and there that didn't appear in the movie.

Collock Jan 26, 2007 05:23 PM

KoTOR One is the top followed by KOTOR two. Aladdin has to be one of the funnest traditional adventure games made. Tie Fighter up till Freespace Two was the best space sim period in my mind so it is up their also.

guyinrubbersuit Jan 26, 2007 06:56 PM

Time Cop. Oh you said best! KOTOR, Chronicles of Riddick and Goldeneye are my favorites. Great games.

Firefly Jan 26, 2007 08:40 PM

Quite a few good calls here; I think I'll toss in a couple more:
  • Alien^3 (SNES) - not 100% faithful to the movie, of course, but still a good game. Interestingly, few of the missions in the game have 'kill X' as a primary goal - for most of the game you'll be rescuing people or repairing things... but fear not, there're plenty of xenomorphs you'll have to kill in order to do these things in peace.
  • Scarface: The World is Yours - the game which asks 'what if Tony Montana survived Sosa's kill team?' In addition to capturing the spirit of the movie it is based on very well, it brings to the sandbox several welcome additions - big example: Everything or Nothing-style targeting which works when you're firing from a vehicle as well as on foot.

And I can't be the only person who thinks we're long overdue for a new X-Wing/TIE Fighter game. Bonus points for using the Freespace 2 engine...

TMNT4: Turtles in Time

... well, if it really could be considered a movie-tie in to the horrible 3rd movie.

Tron 2.0. Fabulous awe-inspiring graphics, tons of nods to the original movie and a brand new storyline. And of course light cycle races.

And it's made by Monolith, easily one of the most underrated software developers of all time.

King Kong: for recapturing the feel and action of the film so vividly and for throwing in some truly memorable sequences. Shame there aren't more Kong levels.

007: Everything or Nothing: fun and deep action romp with gadgets, stunts, fights, good story and high production values.

X-Wing Alliance: Star Wars title with a superb storyline and brilliantly designed missions. Blowing up the death star in the final mission? I'm there...

SW: Kotor: Though the game bores me to death now, I had immense fun playing it the first time. Deep combat system and tons of things to see and fight. I got hooked the more I played it.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay: Visually outstanding FPS/stealth/fighting game with one of the coolest main characters ever. Love the dark humor and variety in gameplay.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine: action/adventure that's heavy on the puzzles and platforming but manages remain good even though it's showing its age. The controls are awkward but one can get used to it. I find this one slightly better than its action-oriented sequel 'Emperor's tomb'.

TLOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth: Superb visuals and great audio in an entertaining RTS that has some cool features and is as addictive as watching the films themselves.
