Ah, I remember the second piece of art from before the crash. You mentioned you were influenced by .hack and Final Fantasy characters, right?

Hey that is pretty cool stuff you got going there. I really like your style as well.
My only thought is that it seems the hands are a bit disproportionately large, and not entirely suited to the design of the rest of the bodies.
I dunno. Just a thought. :)

Tails' Plushie: Yah I'm still having a pretty hard time drawing hands, there is something about them that makes it hard for me to draw them right. T.T

magi: Well since I don't have a tablet and it's pretty hard coloring with a mouse. Also I didn't really like the outcome of the coloring so I rather make it all one background color or leave it black and white.

Rydia: Yah I loved some of the unique designs in .Hack, but mainly influenced by the art style of Tetsuya Nomura, that's why you see many belts...

Haha, I like your megaman, I wish there is a bigger version. Even though those are pencil drawings, CG coloring isn't out of question. Have you think about that or having someone do some coloring for it? :b

Added a new drawing, Super Novice High. Hope you all would like the simple color and happiness in it. : )

It feel kinda blurry. It is taken with digital camera or scanned? Gauss Blur maybe? :b

The winged piglet is very cute. ^.^ I like the clothing design. I still think it could benefiting from some sort of color scheme for the costume though, I am sure it can use an extra dimension, even if it is very intricate and well thought out.

Posted a new artwork, Thantos Honemura the Ninja. It's quickly colored on Open Canvas and blurred with Photoshop. Finally a colored picture in quite a while... ^^''

Hey, the colored pic looks just fine. The coloring and the line art compliment each other in my opinion. What version of Open Canvas are you using? Considering that the first version handles quite differently as appose to the current one, in terms of water color brush and how it handles layering.

I feel that the character should have more of chest; it seems that abs reach up a little bit high. It looks okay though, because the sword harness is obscuring it.

I'm currently using openCanvas3.03e Plus, if there is a newer one...I might not want to use it because I got used to this version. :P

As for the character's chest..I was inspired by this drawing. As you can see, the chest is very high...so I drew the chest that way..

Those are great artworks! I especially love the emphasis you put in to the textures in the clothes and the armors (?) in Random Class art.

Added a new drawing, Final Fantasy XIII. This is just a fan drawing so nothing in there is real. :P

Eh, putting tradmark on other people's tradmark. :p Interesting concept. I wonder how old that guy is. Its unusual for them to put a old guy like that as a main charat. :D There is a wholeness coming from this composition that I really like. Speaking of Final Fantasy, didn't you do a doujin for advent children?

Well I only put a trademark on Rousteinire, which is my website. :) As for the Final Fantasy XIII logo....>.> I couldn't put a trademark that's a right size for the logo. The guy is about 27-29 years old, he is the main character of this game. I've heard many people that they wanted a change from the happy main characters (Zidane,Tidus and Vaan) and the Quiet characters (Cloud and Squall) to 'bad ass' characters. That's why I made this male character very..."angry looking". I've never finish that doujinshi, after the movie came out...I didn't even want to work on it anymore. >.< ahhh lazy me..

Excellent, excellent work. I'm really in love with your style. I suggest investing in a tablet, you'd probably make better use in one than I do. For 100 bucks you can probably get a decent tablet, thats about as much as I've paid for mine.

Also I saw your site, it seems you found Soul Eater. I'm a huge fan of the series, I picked up one of Ookubo Atsushi's other manga a few months ago. Soul Eater is really a great manga though.

I can't wait to see more artwork from you. I'll add your site to my links page on my blog so that I can keep up.

Thanks for the comments ^^ There are tablets around $100?? I've only seen ones that cost around $400 O.o Soul Eater is a weird manga, that's why I liked it. The characters are so nicely designed, each of them with an unique characteristic. I haven't seen Ookubo Atsushi's other mangas...

Added another Final Fantasy XIII fanart, she is the Heroine of this series.
I'll say she is about 21-23 years old.

I would say that would make a unconventional, but more interesting main character. :D She looks like the type that really stand on her own. Why does it have to be Final Fantasy? Why couldn't this be something that you work on your own? Considering that it is pretty much all original. I would love to see those character in action. ^.^

Aiptek have tablet under 100 dollar, although their quality is probably not nearly as good as the ones from Wacom.

I don't know...I guess I'm a really big fan of the Final Fantasy series to even try making the next installment. I guess I want it to be called Final Fantasy XIII is because I was inspired by other peoples idea for the next series. (More bad ass main character, set in a time other time period..etc.)

The tablet that I own is DELETER's XP-Pen. Their list price is $120, but if you buy it from Akadot Retail, you might be able to get it a little cheaper. It's a pretty good tablet for its price.

But if given the chance, an artist of your caliber should probably purchase an intuos3 (the really expensive ones).

Well, I think one of the aspect about doing stuff on your own is that you could say this to yourself: "Its mine! Its all , mine! And I can do whatever I want with it!" Even if it is "inspired" by something else, in terms of style, design sensitivity, as long as it isn't something that you rip off from others (I mean specific stuff, specific story and character stuff) then it is still pretty much your own , and you can do what you want without without having to subscribe certain restriction like continuities issues and inventive details amongst other constrains, and just allow your imagination run wild, that's where fresh stuff come from.

a_yaoi: Thanks for the site : ) That tablet looks very cute, looks a bit small but for about $100 it is indeed a great price.

a_mage: True, right now I'm kinda feeling inside a box. These drawings are only fanarts though, as I have my own idea for a manga. ^^ I think I'm going to draw another Final Fantasy XIII fanart...the last one. I'll call that person, Cid. :P

Yeah, it's the smallest standard sized tablet, at 4x5 inches active area. But I guess you can't expect much more for $100. Especially considering it matches the specs on a graphire3, I think.

oh I totally remember your art from before the crash. Well not exactly the art but your style.
Its so good but it would be great to see some more of your colored works.

Added a new drawing called Ernerment. This is an original charater for a short manga I have in mind.

I guess it's alright for me to bump this...

I've added 3 drawings of a short fan made title "End of Crisis" Final Fantasy VII. The story takes place about 5 years after DoC. The evil character is named Claude Strife, who is a clone of Cloud Strife and Hojo's XIV creation.
