Negima!? New Series (Spoilers?)

WHY THE FUCK IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS.

AQS forum members got it up, so thank them for me.

It's something quite different than expected. The good news is that they aren't the same assmonkeys that made the first series. The real news is that there is quite some differences, right off the bat, unlike the manga and series 1:

-Konoka and Setsuna are on friendly terms (shoujo-ai? PLZ GANSIS [fix'd from GAINAX])
-Nodoka falls for Negi
-We meet Evangeline
-Kamo's with Negi
-There's no ecchi fanservice (lack of fanservice would be inaccurate, as there's a hilarious skit at the end)

The art direction is gorgeous and I was actually laughing in glee over the opening scenes and the end of the episode. The musical score is beautiful.

SO WE GOT SUBS NOW BITCHES.

Episode 1 v2 From Mahora Fansubs

Episode 2

Episode 3

Episode 4

BONUS: Spring OVA RAW!

BONUS 2~: SUMMER OVA RAW!

New group dedicated to this project, so regardless of quality it's likely they'll be the fastest.

I saw around 13 episodes of the original series a long while back and didn't like it. I've never read the Manga, but people told me that it was nothing like the Anime series. Good thing there's a new remake series. Evangeline's my favourite, although I also like Kaede and Mana.

Taco Oct 4, 2006 06:33 PM

I agree that it needs to be subbed. I can hardly understand a lick of japanese, but I still watched the raw. VERY enjoyable, the production values are much higher than the last series. You can tell in the first episode alone. Is this an OVA or a whole new series?

This has a very Pani Poni Dash feel.

Spoiler:
The pigtails + chiyo-chan on the blackboard was awesome XD

CuteChocobo Oct 5, 2006 03:18 AM

This is a 2 part OAV if I am not wrong.

I just finished watching it, and yup indeed the art is definetly better than the first one :) However it seems like this is just a side story coz it has a start and an end.

Can't wait for the next one!

Only two parts? Also, can anyone tell me if its starting from scratch or from where the original anime left off, because I'd much rather see it go from the start again.

Bigblah Oct 5, 2006 05:53 AM

CuteChocobo got it wrong. The 2 part OVA is over and done with, this is the new TV series which just started airing. No word on how many episodes it'll have, though I'm expecting it to be 26.

It's starting from scratch -- basically a remake, or "re-imagining", if you like. It'll take the basic elements from the manga, but with plenty of other original material thrown in. Word has it that instead of one pactio card, there'll be three, with different effects. Yes, this series will be focusing more on the battles than on harem fanservice.

At what point is this a good point :aargh:

I'm glad there's not a negima series that dosen't suck. I can't get a hold of the manga, don't want the licenced manga, and the first show was so bad

Oppsie, thanks for the correction Bigblah~ I didn't notice that the OAV were out!

But its a great news that this will be the re-make of the original since I really like this design~~

If you're referring to this clip released on August 1st, that was a promo/preview of the OVA. The completed OVA will be released on October 25th, seperate to the TV series remake. The 2nd episode of that OVA comes out on November 22nd.

I will post an English source if I find one, but this will do for now. [ link ] (see bolded orange text at bottom of page)

Why wouldn't you want the liscensed manga? Del Ray does an excellent job, considering how comparatively new they are to the business. Better than Tokyopop by far.

Oh, i had no idea a different company took the manga up. When i last read that the manga was censored, i just didn't bother.

Bigblah Oct 5, 2006 01:36 PM

So I guess you didn't stick around for the news that Del Rey wasn't going to censor the manga after all.

If you want fanservice, get the (upcoming, thanks Sar) OVAs by Shaft.

Ashton Oct 5, 2006 01:49 PM

Yay, fanservice!

FatsDomino Oct 5, 2006 07:56 PM

Wow, I enjoyed that much more than any of the original show. It may be much different from the manga but it does its own thing, runs with it, and gets things accomplished much better for doing so than the original show being a loosely and poorly executed adaption of the manga. I'll keep watching Nemima!? for sure.

Sin Ansem Oct 7, 2006 11:12 AM

I reiterate my first point because I've seen interested parties but no official announcements:

It's not like the fansubbers are watching this thread for instructions.

And, in reference to your first post, GAINAX isn't involved in this series.

Sin Ansem Oct 7, 2006 12:38 PM

...shit. I've heard both companies used in this interchangably.

So I can narrow that down to SHAFT being the company behind this.

Bigblah Oct 7, 2006 12:42 PM

Well it's Shaft/GANSIS. The original source had confused GANSIS with GAINAX. I can understand the slip-up though, since GAINAX/Shaft had teamed up previously on Mahoromatic/Konomini/He is My Master.

Lord Styphon Oct 8, 2006 06:38 PM

For those interested, a funsubbed version of episode 1 has been released by what appears to be a Negima fansite that has taken on a life of its own.

While it's better than nothing, I'm not sure of the quality as of yet (though, as this is apparently their first release, I don't have high expectations), and I'm quite prepared to switch if another, more recognizable group picks the series up.

All this said, what I've heard so far mhas me enthused about this series, especially after the utter disappointment the previous one turned out to be.

[/content here to be more than just a torrent link]

Sin Ansem Oct 8, 2006 06:54 PM

Fastest subber wins here. Sort of. I'll see what they're capable of when I see this.

I figure now that someone's actually subbing it we won't be waiting half a week to get subs, unless the other groups don't finish by next wednesday.

If you don't mind, I'll be posting that link up in the first post.

FatsDomino Oct 8, 2006 10:16 PM

I don't know what your sources are, Styphon, but that was definitely not a funsub. It was a legit fansub and was pretty accurate. They even attempted to translate all the random crap on the blackboards and did karaoke for the small next episode preview sequence. Everything was great about it except for the video encoding which could have been due to a crappy RAW or whatever. The video source was a bit better than the earlier RAW that we were linked to in this thread as this fansub's RAW was in widescreen. Really, all it needs is better video quality and it would be perfect. Fantastic job for first attempt at fansubbing. Go ahead and download it, guys. It's good stuff. =)

Lord Styphon Oct 8, 2006 10:30 PM

So you're saying it wasn't fun, Acer?

Okay, nevermind. Fuck it. If it's not fun I'll just delete it now. >=[

FatsDomino Oct 8, 2006 10:41 PM

lol it was fun but it wasn't a funsubbed episode. >=U

Anyway, I just talked to them and they said that the widescreen RAW they got was kind of meh but if they can find a better widescreen RAW or a better decoder for their current RAW for better encoding they might come out with a version 2.

<BillyG> thanks yo
<BillyG> the raw was tricky
> otherwise timing, translation, karaoke, and blackboard was awesome
<BillyG> Sorry for the encoding, thing :P
> yeah was the raw's video quality not that great?
<BillyG> well
> b/c I figured that maybe that was it
<BillyG> it would've been good if we didn't use the widescreen raw
> yeah but widescreen is <3
<DSJFX18> the widescreen is the better one tho.
<BillyG> but we got the widescreen raw that had a codec that was tough to encode with
<BillyG> so I stripped it of that code, problem is that the raw size went to 500 MB
> well if you guys find a better widescreen raw and decide to make a version 2 I'd totally download it again =)
<BillyG> so when I brought it down from 500 to 175, quality kinda reduced, sorry about that. Probably won't be like that next release.
<BillyG> if i get a good decoder, yeah, v2 is possible.
> sweet
<Hitokiri-Battoussai> ouch fat ass raw file
<BillyG> yeah
<BillyG> which is why when I brought it down, quality got bad

Sin Ansem Oct 8, 2006 10:56 PM

Yes, they were awesome. There were two phrases that people pointed out to me that they didn't translate--"Uo mabushi!" and "Da Bomb!" Both which were on the blackboard...

But I guess it's not all that much. They started... Friday, I think. And with them being dedicated, I bet it won't take long much after that. It's all a matter of getting the widescreen raw.

FatsDomino Oct 9, 2006 10:41 PM

Mahora's tracker is down now but no matter because they have a sendspace link for version 2 of episode 1. Much better video quality is what I've been promised. I'll take a look at it once it's done to confirm.

In the meantime here's the link to version 2 of episode 1. Enjoy! =)

Bigblah Oct 11, 2006 12:50 PM

Episode 2 has aired (raw at tokyotosho), featuring the OP. And what a stylish opening animation sequence, Utena references and all! For some reason they used the character monologue portion of the song. Those who want to hear the rest can get this radio rip (warning: low quality, plus Ai Nonaka talks through most of it):

http://astost.condign.org/Negima%20O...0%28rip%29.mp3

As for the rest of the episode, whoa. It's even better than episode 1, and the way they handled Evangeline's character was spot-on.

FatsDomino Oct 11, 2006 04:21 PM

Dude, episode two is freaking amazing. If they make this show any more awesome I'm going to start liking it more than the original manga.

Spoiler:
Oh god the ending sequence with the Baka Rangers is priceless.

If you don't mind 4:3 and a low quality RAW at that then feel free to download episode 2 with the torrent I've attached.
Its origins are at http://bt.saiyaman.info/

Sin Ansem Oct 11, 2006 04:28 PM

The OP is fucking sexcellent, especially with the KonoSetsu touches.

I actually liked the talking before the lyrics kicked in. >:/

Ep 2 was a bit of an infodump, so I'm going to wait for a sub before I rate it.

FatsDomino Oct 11, 2006 04:48 PM

You'll probably see a sub by Sunday. The widescreen RAW that they use comes out on Friday on BS-Japan. It's fun talking to the dudes on #Mahora-Fansubs.

A reference question, not a big spoiler:
Also, does anyone know what this reference is or who this is? =o

Double Post:
Spoiler:
As I suspected, A.I. ga Tomaranai (aka A.I. Love You) is written on the pan and was confirmed by Hina of Mahora-Fansubs. Fun little reference there. =)

Sin Ansem Oct 17, 2006 09:24 AM

Wait a shit... what the fuck happened to my other post?

Anyway I've seen Ep 2 subbed finally... Mahora could've put a better font for the OP.

Also they fail at translating the board... at least find some amusing things out of it. :(

Overall I finally understand how the show views Eva. Ep 3 will be interesting when the RAW comes out tomorrow.

slayer25k Oct 17, 2006 09:53 AM

Oh yeah - what a great episode -

First of all - that SHAFT-like innovative opening ;D - And a new cool part of the BakaRangers at the end ;D
It's pretty nice that they attached to their neat picturecrossing-style of the first episode - It's fun to watch

Ah well ..anything else to say? -
The Story stays alike the manga-storyline - at least for now - That's fine by me - -

I've got nothing to complain ;)

Sin Ansem Oct 18, 2006 04:55 PM

Episode 3 RAW

Quite frankly, this episode pwned hard. Best fight scene so far, along with the fact that there are some funny moments:

Spoiler:
-Asuna creaming Eva with a BOAT
-Konoka is a hardcore gamer, and Setsuna doesn't like it
-Makie STILL gets pwned at the end of every Baka Rangers skit!

And the music was godly this episode.

And yes Ace, I learned my lesson and won't post useless sub advertisements.

Taco Oct 18, 2006 05:53 PM

I'm probably going to wait until the sub comes out from Mahora (It IS fun talking to them in the channel, nice since they're not a huge channel of idlers yet). I tried doing the raw first with the first episode, but I didn't care so much to rewatch it just to read the subs.

Altogether I am enjoying the new series though, in all of its Pani Poni-style glory.

FatsDomino Oct 18, 2006 08:42 PM

Yup, episode three continues to deliver hardcore awesomeness.

Spoiler:
I was surprised that they decided to deck Asuna in full-out battle gear instead of her usual harisen. I just wonder how she'll improve over the series.

But yeah, I really like her personality change in Negima!? instead of the typical drawn-out reluctance Naru character she is in the manga. Just another perk of taking the series and doing whatever you want and getting things done that SHAFT is delivering wonderfully.

So far it's pretty much the same as the manga as in where things are heading but it's just delivered faster and better. At least to me. I'm also enjoying the extra backstory they're giving Eva.

Oh and lol'd so hard at Baka Pink again. Best running joke ever. ='D

Double Post:
Oh, just a note. Don't expect any more chalkboard translations from Mahora-Fansubs. They mistranslated too many in episode 1 and it's more or less too difficult and kind of a waste of time. Instead, go check animesuki or mahora-fansubs' forums for chalkboard translations.

Bigblah Oct 19, 2006 07:42 AM

I'm sorry to say this, but Mahora should start looking for another encoder. Forcefully mashing a 4:3 karaoke hardsub into a 16:9 raw is an encoding decision that simply boggles the mind.

No wonder the OP and ED sequences are horribly pixelated and stretched.

FatsDomino Oct 19, 2006 09:23 AM

Well, I'm not sure how great the raws they're able to get are to begin with. Besides, karaoke is negligible if the actual subs are good because subs are really what matter. Still, improvement is improvement, and I'll agree that encoding is where it's most needed.

Bigblah Oct 19, 2006 09:28 AM

It's not about the karaoke. The actual 16:9 raw has the OP and ED sequences in the correct proportions (with the top and bottom bars removed). What they did here was to cut out the 16:9 sequences just so they could slot in a karaoke sub that they had encoded in a different 4:3 raw.

It's almost like inserting 30 seconds of 128kbps into a 5 minute 320kbps song.

FatsDomino Oct 19, 2006 09:31 AM

Oh holy shit! So that's why they looked wide as fuck. Ew. I'll definitely have to talk to them about that.

Tama8-chan Oct 19, 2006 11:06 AM

Yeah, it's definitely annoying me as well.

What confuses the hell outta me is why the hell they had to remake the series SO SOON :tpg:

Spare a thought to all those who worked on the series last year, only to see that their version is regarded as FAIL :(

It's funny to see all the original voice actors back though XD

Because the last anime WAS fail. I mean it was far too simplistic and FAILED to follow the manga. At least this new series recognizes it won't do that and doesn't try.

And is it just me or is Setsuna sounding sexier?

Also the dub doesn't improve matters much with the first series, and it wouldn't have SUCKED if it weren't for TWO horrible voices: Negi and Kamo. Both of them are ABSOLUTELY HORRID.

Asuna and Ayaka sound pretty good though.

I'm also getting pissed that it's taking the subbers steadily longer for them to release subs. I've been like, reading/watching everything Negima related RAW now. :'D

FatsDomino Oct 24, 2006 01:08 PM

What's wrong with Negi and Kamo? I thought they were fine. Kamo's voice fit perfectly for how I pictured him actually.

Really, besides the interesting original moments that did their own thing (like the ending) in the original series the only good thing to come out of it was the vocal cast - all of which were and still are awesome.

Also, it's a pretty small group that's handling this, Sin. Please have patience. I am kind of surprised that there aren't more subbers for this though since it's both quality and by SHAFT who did Pani Poni Dash.

Sar Oct 25, 2006 03:50 AM

So the OVA Negima Spring Special came out today. Only the RAW is available right now.

And someone blogged what happens in it. [ link ]

Sin Ansem Oct 25, 2006 07:34 AM

^Already have the link on the front page!

And just because I care Episode 4 Raw is out.

:D

Sin Ansem Nov 1, 2006 08:32 AM

Oh wow. This is horrible. Episode 5 RAW is out and still no subbed ep 4. Aggravating.

I hear some interesting stuff happens in this episode, but I'll probably edit this space later to make notes.

As well as link to the OVA sub. That's out too!

Sin Ansem Nov 7, 2006 01:51 AM

Finally! Episode 4 is out!

I've browsed around and it appears that the sluggish subbing is a result of their problems with the karaoke for the OP and the ED. Remember that shitty encoder that jacked their episode 2? Kicking him out of the fun meant that they have jack squat in the natural JP speakers.

Also this episode Nodoka get the kissu kissu, and I've learned to love her a whole lot more with this series!

EDIT: Oh, and just to humor those who watch this series... http://negimamotivators.ytmnd.com

something I made. Forgive the crappy pic quality of it.

FatsDomino Nov 7, 2006 11:30 AM

Heh, I wouldn't mind the original pictures for that. Feel free to post them in here in spoiler tags to save space. =)

Sin Ansem Nov 9, 2006 11:58 AM

I actually got the majority of them from Omni's Blog. If I get the time I might upload some of my unique ones (Nodoka's evil grin and Negi's Timeless River face) to imageshack sometime.

Oh, and I added ten new posters to that ytmnd above.

ALSO! The episode 6 raw is out, and I must say it's sexcellent. Setsuna FINALLY gets her badass back, and with more KonoSetsu to boot! Also Konoka gets to actually fight, and I find the KonoSetsu teamwork quite sexy to be quite honest. :P

Sin Ansem Nov 15, 2006 10:54 PM

Episode 7 Raw out.

Sayo ep was highly amusing, but not up to the caliber of the other eps sadly.

Scores for:
-Sayo Wreaking Havoc: the Video game. ^5 GP Sayo.
-Zazie: "There's something in my clothes"
-Mana's reaction: "let's shoot that shit"
-Setsuna going back to dumbass?
-^5 GP Konoka because I can.
-Eva being just nice enough to care.

No points for:
-Asuna being a loser
-One liners from Nodoka/Chao/anyone who should've had more than one line
-JUST HOW MANY FREAKING BOWLS OF NOODLES ARE YOU GOING TO EAT, TAKAMICHI?

Taco Nov 16, 2006 12:15 AM

Maybe use spoiler tags? :/ I still haven't seen episode 4 since Mahora has yet to get its act together.

FatsDomino Nov 16, 2006 12:47 AM

Yeah, I wish Megami would focus more on this show than Sumomo mo momo mo. They've done the best job at subbing so far.

You can get their second episode here:

SRY :/

Also the majority of the subbers at Mahora are high schoolers, thusly they have high school interfering with their lives D:. They're looking for a Translation Checker right now, as a matter of fact.

Sin Ansem Nov 26, 2006 12:57 PM

Wow, I'm totally getting slack about this crap! Mahora released Episodes 5 and 6 a couple of days ago (link in first post). I've also got the Summer OVA up and as well I haaaave

Episode 8 RAW. Interesting stuff I think.

Spoiler:
-Earligame pactios with Fuuka/Fumika
-New pseudo-shoujo villain
-Setsuna continues dumbassery

Looks like only Episode 7 is the only "filler" episode so far.

Sin Ansem Nov 29, 2006 10:40 AM

Episode 9 RAW is out.

Getting more random and infodumpy... not good.

I defenitely need to start waiting for subs to get this info out. It's not helping that this series is getting so random that I need Omni's Blog as a guidebook almost every ep now.

Next episode is Ayaka... won't that be interesting.

Taco Nov 29, 2006 12:30 PM

Still only seen up to 6, but hearing that it's getting more random is actually good news to me. I loved the randomness of PPD, so anything like that series' insanity is an instant win :tpg:

Sin Ansem Dec 13, 2006 01:42 AM

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!

So guys, how about it. Episode 8 has been released, and Episode 11's raw is now out.
A few things about 8:
-Needs moar desu.
-Who the hell is this "Black Rose Baron" freak.
-Nodoka is cute in this episode.
-Makie phails for dumbassery.

Episode 11:
Spoiler:
-Asuna's chupa tees phail in the clutch!
-Haruna and Yue can be sneaky
-If Eva knows who the Black Rose Baron is... is there any reason why she's pointing and laughing at Takimichi instead of rushing out to kick his ass?
-Wow. Does Zazie has more lines here than she does even in the original manga?
-Misora, oh your wacky Yoga hijinks <3. You'd make a nice Sonic.
-Setsuna has no reservations about giving Konoka a back massage, I see.
-What's up with BRB trying to kiss Yue.

I'm expecting a bit more magical battles. Is that so wrong?

Wai Dec 16, 2006 12:08 PM

is it just me or was the subtitles in ep 8 not synced?

Eros Dec 18, 2006 04:01 PM

Before i download anything is it indeed worth it?

~Eros

Taco Dec 18, 2006 04:07 PM

Short answer: Yes.

If you can handle the pace the show moves at (very fast), and enjoy sometimes random off-the-wall humor and chupacabras, then by all means get it. You won't be disappointed.

cannot recommend it enough.

HazelGuy Dec 23, 2006 12:59 AM

Has anyone heard about when the OST will be released? Theres been a number of tracks I want to get.

PactioMan27 Dec 27, 2006 02:57 PM

hey...im new here.. and i have seen the whole series of the original Negima show.. and i thought it was okay but i heard there was a remake of it.. and so i found this forum..so i would like to ask where can i find these remakes of Negima??? i need to know ASAP..plz!!!!!!!!

Taco Dec 27, 2006 03:44 PM

The torrents for Negima!? can be found here: http://www.rpguru.com/series.php/892.html

Note that this is not a remake, but a completely different story. It has the same characters and a similar background, but the way the show moves and the lack of extreme fanservice make it much different (and better) than the original Negima! anime.

jouhou Jan 7, 2007 07:30 PM

First post of 2007 for Negima!?
Well, I started watching this slowly then it kinda caught on. The drawing style a lot better and so is the music. I especially like the track used for pactio.
So far, Episode 9 is the latest for Mahora and out of all the transformations, Setsuna's rare is the nicest.

And DAMN, That ending song is even more catchier than "Happy Material."

I'm kinda disappointed in Mahora. They're getting steadily slower in releases. It's one thing to be slow, and that's okay, but if you're going to GET SLOWER FOR EVERY RELEASE I'd like a heads up.

Ep. 10, 11, 12 and 13 are out now ;)

Now I find that Mahora does do a status update... but only on mIRC ;_;

I'll need to update page one with the torrent links of course.

SO HAY GUYZ HOW ABOUT THAT PLOT TWIST ON EPISODE 12.

Ced The Lad Jan 23, 2007 12:18 AM

I only saw the first two episodes and I have to say that I really like the direction it presented. I can deal with the fact that it's slightly different than the manga, but the first anime was just abysmal.

But you guys are saying that it's getting random as the story progresses? I don't like the sound of that at all. That's one of the reasons why I hated the first anime with a passion.

Sin Ansem Jan 24, 2007 03:54 PM

Well it does get random.

In a good way.

It's not like the first at all, OR the manga, and neither does it try to be. It's PPD styled fun with a plot and smooth animation, and that's why I like it.

It could use more action, though.

OH, and the raw for Episode 17 is out, with a massive shocker. get it here.

Spoiler:
-The Black Rose Baron is... Nekane. I'm not joking.
-Setsuna goes back to massive phail!
-Some older jokes return.
-This episode was retarded. In a good way.

Well, they've done it again with the entire class singing the theme song but this time they sing both the OP and ED songs. So there's 10 "different" versions of the songs. Needless to say, I have them all. =)

Official soundtrack out! It's pretty badass.

Excellent. Thanks for the link.

Sin Ansem Feb 23, 2007 06:29 PM

Ah geez!

I admit I kinda lost interest in keeping up this thread because subs come out so infrequently. Mahora is a) slow as hell and b) swamped with problems. While it'd be nice if someone else did it, everyone else is a) slower and b) swamped with other anime.

There is no love for this series, and to make matters worse recent RAWS have shown a lack of plot, though I hear it's supposed to return next week.

HazelGuy Feb 24, 2007 06:29 AM

I would just like to see a Negima series that could actually make it to the tournament arc. Kotaru is one of my favourite characters from the manga but he still hasn't shown up in two series, so I'm dissappointed they've never shown him.

Dark_Rika Mar 4, 2007 12:40 PM

I've read up to volume 12 of the manga and seen up to ep 10 or so of the new anime.. To my view, I think the manga is a bit better more funny then the anime. But, I think, when it comes to the anime itself anyways, it's pretty good though I'm going nearily crazy to see a certain fox kid show up.. would be cool to see.

Sin Ansem Mar 14, 2007 03:39 PM

So for all of you waiting for subs: the jig is up. Game over. Mahora's TL has betrayed them, thusly Mahora's got nothing. Better start crackin' on those RAWS.

FatsDomino Mar 15, 2007 03:29 PM

Ugh, thanks for the news. I suppose I'll have to go and see if any of those raw torrents are still up and going. I think I downloaded up to episode nine raw if I remember correctly.

At least Shinsen is pooping out an episode every now and then. Perhaps one day they'll complete this show.

Sin Ansem Mar 16, 2007 04:05 PM

Actually according to one of the staff they got a temp TL on the job, and 15 is 2/3 done and on the way.

But they're still slow. Ah well. Slow is better than none at all.

Sin Ansem Jul 24, 2007 06:45 PM

^I take that shit back.

Slow's okay, unless you're being a childish asshole about it. No updates on why you're slow, constant staff changes and firing off random members, and a pride so thick that anyone who isn't a devoted fanboy gets flamed to hell and back.

AND THEN YOU'RE TAKING ON MULTIPLE COMPLETELY USELESS PROJECTS. HAY GUYS, WHERE'S MAH LUCKY STAR? HOW ABOUT THAT EUREKA 7 WHICH JUST GOT FINISHED AIRING IN THE US? And you have the audacity to say that other projects aren't slowing you down? Don't make me laugh.

...now with that vent out of the way, I'm here to announce that this anime's been licensed by FUNimation. Expect it in 2008. You can probably count on actually seeing the last seven episodes subbed by then! Isn't it awesome? :tpg:

FatsDomino Jul 25, 2007 11:33 AM

Oh wow, I'm gonna enjoy Funimation trying to justify selling this and the original series. UH... IT'S MORE NEGIMA HAVE A BALL. Yeah, probably.

I'll have to go and buy this too because I'm a consumer whore for all things Akamatsu. I have mixed feelings about buying anime that was broadcasted in high definition though. DVD quality isn't bad but it makes me wonder if they're going to release it one of these days again on Blu-ray or HDDVD.

Sin Ansem Aug 8, 2007 02:49 PM

In an M. Night Shamaylan twist, I've decided to go try and rescue Negima!? by doing a BS/educated guess sub in an attempt to taunt Mahora into finishing their subs.

...I'm hoping it's gonna work.

FatsDomino Aug 8, 2007 05:18 PM

Give me a holla when you're done. I'd love to take a look at it. =))))
