1999 Ford Crown Victoria

It's my current car at the moment, and I wouldn't want to drive any other. It's like the bastard child between a luxury car and a sports car, and its durable as all fuck. A lot of police cars are modified Crown Victorias for that reason.

I mean, I've driven a Town Car and a Cadillac, and the Crown Victoria was better than both of them.

A buddy of mine drove a low riding yellow pinto. Big dice gearshift, mini skull hanging from the rear view mirror, medium sized subwoofer in the trunk (large weighed the car to the ground), that car was so cool before it got stolen. When I eventually get around to it, I'll post up my own car.

One of the other cars I've had a fascination with is the Plymouth Prowler. This automaker is, like DMC, now defunct. This was it's finest car produced since the 'Cuda. The unique modern-roadster design is so sexy. It was also rather affordable, somewhere in the range of the 350Z.

Plymouth was a subsidiary of Dodge, and they generally made the same exact cars that Dodge made in the later years...the Prowler being the big exception.

I know this. Subsidaries can go under just as well as an independent automaker. Think Oldsmobile.

Yah, those things are pretty sweet. Although for regular cars, most of all I like what I have - a Honda Civic. Very comfortable, excellent on gas, it has a shitload of space for such a small car, and it hauls ass.
The most impressed it's ever left me was when I moved out here. From Oceanside, CA to Canton, OH, with my mom and sister tagging along because we all always wanted to take a road trip, there was still room for me to pack literally everything except my bed and dresser, and it still hauled ass across the country, still got 40 mpg, and most importantly, it was a very comfortable ride. I mean, I had my clothes, my sheets, blankets, pillow, computer, games, books, bike, skates, camping gear, tv, travel stuff for all three of us, and a big-ass cooler of drinks and snacks. Since then I've referred to it as my truck =P

Although another vehicle I love is the Land Rover Discovery. My uncle has one and we used to take it offroading all the time. I can't believe the crazy shit you can do with one of those. If it were most other vehicles we would've destroyed it a couple dozen times. Land Rovers are the only exception to my tastes, in which I ussually like American and Japanese cars more than European. It's also an exception to my taste in which I ussually like vehicles a little more practical than that.

I'm weird in the way I don't like most sports cars.. To me, something has to be able to seat four or more people, get over 40 mpg, or be able to tow over 2,000 pounds to be thought of as a good car. If it meets at least one of those, it's good.

Sanny Mar 3, 2006 10:43 PM

Pfft, I'd take a Ford Crown Victoria over a Ferrari Suckmobile any day. It's all about personal taste. Some people like speed, I like utility and/or practicality. To me, a car where you can get all your friends or family and go downtown is a good deal more fun than one where all you can do is go fast. Besides, my Civic goes plenty fast enough. All I care about in speed is that a car doesn't take forever and a decade to reach freeway speed.

I'd probably change my mind too if I saw it in person, but until I do, it's just a mediocre replacement for the old one. Oh, my favorite car is the Audi R8. I'll probably never be able to buy it, but it's a racing monster that's easy on the eyes.

Yeah, the day we get an actual USDM Skyline will be the day I go broke. I do love the older ones though, and if I had the money I would import one just so I can go through drive-through lines backwards.
