DDR/ITG Accomplishment Thread
 

Post your accomplishments at DDR or ITG here. Right now I am halfway between 9 footers and 10 footers. I can get about halfway through MAX300 before dying (literally).

I finally passed MAX 300 about 3 weeks ago. Got an A that first time, too. However, the pads at my arcade are really wearing out, and it's hard to really clear any songs like I used to. I'd be AA'ing everything that wasn't a 10-footer (besides Sakura, I can AA that easily) or a hard 9 like HVAM.

I can beat Hybrid on heavy (9 feet) on command now, which is definitely my biggest accomplishment on ITG. :P There's a number of other 9 steps i can do as well, but also a lot i can't do. (mostly due to lack of practice on them)

Doesn't help that i haven't played in quite a while. ><

Gah. I already miss the old thread.. and looking back to how far I progressed since then. :(

Anyway, I haven't played much lately, but I did AAA www.blondegirl doubles about a week ago.

I've gotten some pictures of my ITG accomplishments, but I'm too lazy to go and get my flash drive. I'm still trying to exceed 98.74% in Disconnected ~Hyper~ in ITG. Trying to beat someone's high score there. I've only gotten 98.34% which is really starting to piss me off.

As far as DDR goes, nothing that stands out too much. I could pass PARANOiA Survivor on Heavy, but not much else. I passed MAX 300 a long time ago... I still struggle from time to time, but I could still pass it.

I'm getting into Catas... nothing big really but only been playing since Mid January...

If that counts, I also made myself a nice ass arcade-style pad :D

I, too, have some trouble with MAX 300 even after passing it: partially the pad's fault, partially my own for not keeping my stamina up.

As far as ITG goes, I've passed Energizer on Medium with no combobreakers. I don't remember my percentage, but it wasn't enough for a 1-Star rating, because I still has a bit of Excellents and a few Greats.

If I can do MAX 300 on Heavy, then I should be able to just pass Energizer on Hard, which is a 10.

I haven't been playing much lately, but I was able to pass Max 300 on heavy. And then I promptly just about died and passed out and kind of limped off to recouperate. Since I haven't played in a while, I doubt I'd be able to do it again anytime soon without working up to it.

FUll combod up to the slowdown on Energizer Expert, then my legs give out and I die T_T

My best accomplishment score-wise is probably a 98.98% on Solina Hard. SO CLOSE to a ***.

::bows down:: I can't full combo on Energizer expert if I try. ;_;

Pic of an AA'd Heavy CAN'T STOP FALLING IN LOVE (SPEED MIX) the other day. The only problem was, it was on DDR Ultramix 1, which has terrible timing windows, and my sound options were on +1. It was also at the end of a MAX run so I was exhausted.

On DDR Extreme CS (with much better timing) at a friend's house, my Great count was around the 20's.

I've gotten like 2 AAA's but they were all on really easy songs on light.

Oh yeah.. I've gotten five or six AAA's in Ultramix 2, which has a slow framerate but large perfect window. Half on light, half on standard, on songs like Captain Jack Miami Booty Mix, V for EXTREME...

Played a little today and AAA'd Paranoia KCET Clean Mix out of nowhere. Now I just need to go back and get it on double (since, strangely, I had less greats on it (2) than I had on single (3) before I AAA'd it this time).

Today, (well, technically, yesterday) I beat MaxX Unlimited without any kind of support for the very first time. It was only a C, but it's a start! I've gotten to the point where I can beat pretty much all other songs except for the Max songs and PSMO. So Deep? Drop out? HVAM? EOTC? Orion.78 Civ Mix? Burning Heat? Xenon? Tsugaru? bag 1X flat? Sakura? No problem. Hopefully I will be soon be able to beat the true 10 footers with equal consistancy.

Also, Cobalt Flux kicks ass. One of the best things I've ever purchased.

I always enjoyed So Deep. I never really found it that hard. I'm glad I can say I've beaten Sakura and Tsugaru (both mixes). Haven't really done Max300 yet. I still keep losing it after the hold.

Tonight was fun. I'm getting back into DDR again after not playing for a long time, so it's really all about my stamina, as there isn't much challenge to the actual game. I didn't bother checking the score, but I cleared the World Tour Oni course (Extreme, ARC) with only one slip up.

I miffed one of the jumps at the end of Afronova :X

I agree, So Deep is NOT hard. You just have to relax and let the steps flow. For some reason, many people never get around to beating it.

This was on 2X Solo, but I've gotten a AA on 1X Flat as well.

That's odd. I beat So Deep 1x Heavy with an A on my first try, but I find it much easier on 1.5x and have since AA'd it many times. In the last third of the song, the gallops get a little awkward compared to the first two-thirds, but that's just about the only difficult thing about it...

It took me a couple trys to actually get past a low/mid B during SO DEEP because the first time I played it I didn't really expect that type of arrow combo.

The only thing keeping me from FC'ing So Deep is the last step, or the one before last. I can easily score an averate of 450 Perfects, but there's always that last area that prevents me from AA'ing the song.

Honestly, I'm getting a little bored with doing DROP OUT on Stealth and Dark. I know I still get about 350-360 Perfects and FC the song every time, but the only reason I do the song is cuz people tell other people that I do it. Now, I'd rather do MAX 300 on Stealth and Dark (did it once and A'd it) all the time, only cuz I need to work on stamina.

One of my accomplishments is just completing Max Period without dying.

Wow...so far I'm getting there slowly. I can do Sakura and Dai Ken Kai on standard but I don't have the constant stream of focus for Dai Ken Kai on Heavy.

I got my first AAA today. I was in workout mode, so it didn't show up on the score screen, but the song was Let's Groove (Heavy).

I finally passed The legend of max the other day... Altough it was on the EXTREME US version... But still, it's an accomplishment to me. I've been struggling on that one for a while, and I haven't passed anything amazing in a while. I still have to beat MaxX Unlimited though. <_<

Happy Wedding is one of those PA songs that makes my knees sore afterwards. The pace and the off-beat sections force me to stomp to keep on track. I love that song though.

Interesting. I didn't have that problem. I'm not sure what you mean by off-beat either. All of the arrows are either 1/4 or 1/8 arrows.

Wow, DDR is memory.. I haven't played that or PIU in about a year now.

I've never really felt the motivation to play a song so many times and practice (is that what you do?) to get an AAA. My favorite accomplishment in old DDRMAX was memorizing HVAM and getting a 'decent' freestyle routine going. Of course, nothing more extreme than occasionally going backwards, but you get the occasional crowd, I'm sure you know what I mean. ;]

I doubt I could touch even Candy ¶ now; it's been so long.

I've never specifically gone and practiced any particular song. You simply get to know them from playing them all so often, and as time goes on, your timing naturally becomes better.

Having a Cobalt Flux dance pad also helps. I never got any AAAs until after I bought mine.

Does the C-Flux work with PIU too?

Yes. There's a piece of wood underneath the center panel, you can take it out and it works just like any other panel.

Wow. I wish I had around $300 to spend on a dance pad!

I want a CF... But it's too expensive. T_T

And i'm still in the process of building one. I've just had NO time to complete it, or work on it for that matter.

I'm mad because the top record for Disconnected ~Hyper~ at my arcade is 98.75%... I was SO close.

Nonetheless, that's an excellent score. I could never get that high on any song. I've only AAA'd one song in my entire life, and it was on a Solo 2000 machine. I think it was Temple of Love or Together And Forever. Nonetheless, not as good as that, especially since it's a 9 footer.
