Features To Remove?
I'll get to the point:
« Previous Thread | Next Thread » Keep or remove? |
I've never even noticed that.
I've never noticed it before either, but might as well keep it i guess. On the other hand screw it, its useless amd no one likes it
Not sure what the hell I actually voted for in that fucked up poll, but I was attempting to vote for "Yes" as in "Yes, remove that pointless feature."
Axe it. Who even uses that anyway.
The only way I'd even see using it is if it were in a forum where all of the threads were in a specific order. And we have none of those here.
It's about as useful as the Kitchen forum.
I've never noticed it before, and I much rather like clicking specific threads that are interesting. So removing it wouldn't bother me.
I know it's there, but I never make use of it - I like to see what I'm going to be getting into when I read a thread.
I never use it. One time, I did, by accident, and resolved that by clickin "back".
It's a fairly useless feature to me. |
It's about as useful as Megalith, why lie.
i've never even known that it was there before, let alone use it. nor would it really be that helpful in this forum, so my vote is on nixing it.
Did we have it before?

I just tried using it for the first time and I don't even understand how it decides what is the next and previous thread, it just seemed to go through some in a random order to me, not really in numerical or forum listing order.
Get rid of it. |

So, no, most people don't seem to need it. |
That's kinda like the "Start reading" button over at the old Delphi forums, really for people who read EVERYTHING, regardless of the subject. Don't think those exist here and I personally have no use for it.
FEEL FREE TO AXE IT IT SERVES NO REAL PURPOSE HERE SWIFT AXE OF JUSTICE |
I've never used it.
I vote no. Who reads all of the threads???????????????????????????????????????? jeremy |
Remove.
I've never ever found need for such a thing :p I've found the "Forum Jump" and also the Forum Path (e.g. "Gamingforce Interactive Forums > Gamingforce Support > Board Support > Features To Remove?") far more helpful... So the Previous/Next Thread function is kinda redundant. Plus since the order of threads is constantly changing anyway, it also makes the Previous/Next Thread function almost useless really :p |
Damn people I use it all the time in my daily life. Keep them, because if you remove them, then you will have in effect be causing negativity in my browsing experience.
{not rly, remove them} |
Now that you bring it up, okay sure. I can't say it's ever actually bothered me, however.
It's an eyesore. I say remove it!

I've seen that somewhere before but now I can't find it anymore. |

Remove!
Remove it. It's really pointless.
Perhaps we could remove it and put in some freaking advertisements that no one will care about so we can actually avoid GFF crashes in the future and asking users to pay over a thousand dollars to bring it back.
Just sayin'. bobo. |
The horse is dead BM, I don't know why you keep beating it.
The horse hasn't even been born.
I, for one, can't wait for ChocoSponsor July. |

Can we get rid of the autocomplete thing that pops up when you search a username's posts? They just put it on CAG as well, and it really annoys me. =\
This forum already has enough ways to jump to the place you want in little to no time at all, axe the buttons

It's an AJAX feature, not the same as Autocomplete -- if you have javascript enabled, typing the first portion of any username will trigger a dropdown menu with partial username matches.
The problem is if you type faster than the thing updates and hit enter to search, it'll select whatever name you had highlighted (or was first in the list, I'm not sure) even though you don't want to choose anything.
Right, now I see it. Must be a new vB feature.
I don't know when this happened, but the "« Previous Thread | Next Thread »" links have been removed. I guess I'll close this now.
Hey Blah, did you remove the feature I was talking about, or is it just not showing up on the computer I'm using over break?
