The draft date is tentatively set for 4 PM EST on Sunday, October 1st. Free Agency will have ended at this point and rosters should be fairly locked in for the start of the season that week. This date is subject to change if necessary, but I figured a Sunday would have the best chance for everyone to be available.

I just registerd with the Aerobats

Just a reminder to everyone. The draft is 1 week from today at 4 PM EST. If you can't be there at that time, you can go in and pre-rank players that will be auto-drafted for you so you won't be stuck completely with players you dont want. Of course, everyone should try to be there!

We still have room for 4 more teams and everyone is welcome so go ahead and join up.

Oh man. I am going to be at work of course when we have to draft. Ronz if there was anyway you could push it up to 6 PM EST I would love you forever.

However if you can't then I guess I'll just have to prerank my players :(

Well unfortunately he told me in chat that he can't change the time this close to the draft. Oh well. I'll see what I can do with the players I have.

Last night when I checked it would not let me change the time to 6 PM, however this morning it is. I don't get it.

Anyway, draft changed to 6PM since I haven't heard any objections and I want as many people there as possible. Please try to be there!

I didn't get to say this, but Marc Denis for the...win? Probably loss, but he's my backup goalie anyway.

Well, an unexpected baseball game came up, and I missed this draft, too. That's two out of the four major sports down for me. :)

So uhhh, anyone figure they'll bomb already, figure they've got it in the bag, or just wanna revive a thread that's dead?

I think I'm finally back into running a fantasy team, and it seems if I pay attention I can do well. Doubt I'll win it, but I'm sure top 3 isn't out of the question.

All I know is Ward better start pulling his weight.

A 10.5pt surge is indicative of probably nothing. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I could see him keeping a few of those points if Ottawa doesn't forget how to score goals again.

Obviously I know that it won't last, but I know for a fact that as long as a team is managed on a daily basis, it can keep up with the best of them.

Aside from that, with only one player actually playing tonight, I'm probably gonna fall right back down again, depending on other outcomes.

I just sent a PM to Locke and sent out a league-wide e-mail about his inactivity with the Aerobats. I know I'm not the only one who would love to get their hands on Malkin, Phaneuf, Iginla, Richards, Tucker and Savard, but he hasn't even looked at the team since October. (Capo, December, and BucPride, November, aren't much better, but they're in playoff contention. Ronz is the only team that could probably sit back and not fall out of first, or second for that matter. The Aerobats are 26.5 points out of 7th place, behind the aforementioned Capo.)

Hopefully either Locke will respond or Ronz will take action.

I think it would also be disruptive to the league to just release all those players at once anyway. How could we do it so each person has a fair chance to take a shot at them if they wanted them? I can't think of any fair and manageable way off the top of my head.

Regardless, he stays. Whether he checks his team or not is sadly up to him.

Who is he, anyway?

The best way to handle it would be to release all his players, lock his team, then have the remaining teams "draft" players by in inverse order by record, or waiver priority (which I hate to mention would benefit me the most :p). It's a radical idea, and I did it once, and the league didn't change THAT much.

But that's just how I would do it.

In seriousness, it seems too late to do anything about it. Such is life.
