Free F.E.A.R Multiplayer
 

Well, I haven't seen any topic about F.E.A.R multiplayer version going public, so I thought I might make one.

Can't wait, only 2 days away, and I was going to buy the game anyway, so I might as download this instead =D

Oh sweet, this is awesome news. This will save me from actually buying the game.

I'm not a big fan of Deathmatch, so I hope they have some sort of team-based, goal-oriented gameplay, like Day of Defeat or Enemy Territory.

So, how is the MP portion anyway? I might try it after finishing the SP game if it's worth playing as well...

I remember clocking in an obscene amount of hours with the F.E.A.R. MP beta. The moment I nailgunned a guy to the ceiling I was in love with this game!

I'm impressed, this looks excellent. I just registered, so see you guys there in a day or so. Anyone have any idea how big the download will be?

=O Good news. I was on F.E.A.R main site, and I read something about this new multiplayer mode is able to play with F.E.A.R disk owners =D

There are team modes. I haven't played F.E.A.R MP in awhile but i cant remember any objective based modes.

everybody know that you don't get FEAR for the MP part >.> but heh it's free so why not... (well I already got the game anyway -_- )

I'm DLing the client right now. I've never enjoyed any FPS multiplayer more than F.E.A.R. and can't wait to get back to some merciless killage. :D

OMJESUS! This just made my fucking week. After playing the FEAR MP DEMO for literally MONTHS (nothing but Factory :P), I'm so glad I was stumbling around GFF and seen this thread.

I own the full version of fear and used to play MP all the time. Community eventually died down ALOT so i stopped playing. I think i might reinstall now though.

Indeed, I signed up since August 10th, still no CD-Key. Those cheap lying bastards ! =O

Don't worry, I had to try three times before they finally sent me one. Just keep trying, and use a different email address. It finally worked for me.

Yeah theres something wrong in the javascript in the 2nd part of the signup procedure... :(

This game doesn't even work for me. Everytime I try to open it, I get a Windows XP error. I'm sure I have all the latest drivers, and I already have F.E.A.R on this computer and it works perfectly. I don't know what the problem is.

Could be a bummed installation. Uninstall it, clean the registry, and try again.

So this is pretty much the game for free? or is it just multiplayer?

I signed up for a cd-key and got it instantly, the only thing I need to know is the system requirements, my computer is 4 years old. I can't seem to find the system req's on the website.

edit: NVM, I found it.

It was on fileplanet.com a couple days ago. If you didn't see the option to pre-register, then you'll have to wait till the end of the next week. It's a subscriber-only beta right now. EA and DICE aren't sure if they're going to release an open public beta (which is ass if you ask me), but we'll have to wait and see. =/

Aww rats. Subscriptions are closed. I better keep an eye open next week and grab a spot at first opportunity.

Well, there may be good news for you. I pre-registered twice, so I MIGHT get 2 keys (signed up with 2 different email addys), so I'll throw you down a key if that happens. :)

Sadly, I'd probably end up getting hopelessly addicted to the game, just like I am with BF2.

Well, it is supposted to be in 22th centuary. I say Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will own Battlefield 2142.

Um.... am I the only one who actually didn't enjoy playing the multiplayer? I don't know why, but I just don't like the way plays in multiplayer. Single-playing is fine, but its multiplayer thats bugging me.

Not just you, I lost intrest, and its off from my Pc now.

I was wondering, can this be played in LAN servers?

Oh and kinda off topic: I downloaded the 5 CDs of F.E.A.R. And it comes to 3 GBs but the DVD version is 4+ GBs. Did the CD version get a higher compression or is this a virus? xD
