They need to bring Inuyahsa back
Hello,
It is my humble oponion that they need to bring Inuyasha back. If there is anyone whom has been reading the lastest Manga. things are getting quite interesting especially for Sesshomaru's group. I won't spoil the details for anyone but lets say things are very cool now. Anyway I had been thinking about this for a long time, and could not hold it in any longer. They need to bring the anime back. ah there I feel better now. Teresa. |
I would've liked Inuyasha alot more if it wasn't for all the fangirlish episodes and filler episodes. Im serious about it. When it first came up on adult swim. I wasn't really impress with these episodes til Sesshomaru came out and ended up being related to Inu. After more boring episodes, i decided to see the last episodes of it.
Weren't they supposed make more afterwards? its been a long time now..o.o. btw, You should add some details and a few more info so this thread doesn't close. |
I don't read the manga but as for the anime I only watch once in awhile. I just got tired of the fillers and thought the show could have been a nice 50 episode series.

Hello,
Well i don't really want to spoil it for anyone, so if anyone wants just send me a pm, and I will give them a quick run down of what is happening in the manga, but I will say thins it is not just filler like a few parts of the seriese was. I had heard rumors that the series was going to come back, but have heard nothing more on the matter for quite some time either, but I truly hope that they do. I hate when they stop a series right in the middle. Teresa. |
I think if the manga keeps getting enough support they'll bring it back in some form be it OVAs or a TV series that follows the manga pretty straight forward. I think the problem was they had caught up with the manga and had to make a lot of filler. With enough time they could bring the show back and continue where they left off. However, if they're just going to do a ton of filler and not get on with the story if the story is actually going somewhere then fuck it there are much better things worth spending money and effort to animate. Like Ranma 1/2, Takahashi Rumiko has trouble ending certain formula series. At least I think so.

Acer reminded me of sad events ;__;
I started reading Ranma manga back when I was in 6th grade. Continued until I was almost in college. I stopped buying 'em around GN#21 or so. I got frustrated with slow releases. Then I downloaded scanslations and read all the way through until the end courtesy of some lovely torrent site. I have this to say: BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME. EVER. She repeats ideas later and the manga builds up to jack shit =( Doesn't even have a complete ending. I read the final chapter and wasn't "upset that it was all over". Lord no. I was pissed that I paid $15 apiece for those twenty some-odd GNs and they were a huge waste. The manga went in ciiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrclllllllllllllllles then she said "ITT END THIS". And she did so with little to no grace at all. Anger. ANGER. Still, <3 Maison Ikkoku manga and Lum like no others. |
Yeah, I only have volume 1 of Ranma 1/2. I saw how many volumes it was and how it still wasn't finished releasing over here and decided to download it. I'm VERY glad I did.
So sorry for you, Gechmir. :( |
I'm sorry but Inu Yasha has to go down as one of the most linear anime I've ever seen. Out of the 160+ episodes it logged, I'd say the ratio of filler episodes to actual plot episodes is 7:1.
Bored much? |

I only watch it once in a while on YTV when it comes on via channel surfing, and I find myself hooked. I'm scared that if I tried to actually follow it, then I would lose interest, since the episodes do seem to follow a generic progression if you look at them. Although, I haven't seen it for a while and I've heard that it ended, but it didn't really end, despite the final episode being shown?
"Kikyo! Kagome! Miroku! Sango! Kirara! Naraku!" I'd always shout, and 90% of the time. I would be saying it unison with a character currently on screen by chance. |

I highly doubt that Cartoon Network would've gone and shown the final episodes before they have a chance to be released on DVD. It keeps people from making illegal box sets. With DVD releases this month, they will only be up through episode 135. |
I can't bring myself to like the Inuyasha anime anymore. I like the idea, some of the plot, and some characters, but if i go through another episode of "INUYASHAAAAA" "KAGOMEEEEEE" someone will die painfully.

Ok i won't kill anyone for that, that was hilarious :)

Indeed, Adult Swim would have to have a sense of humor to keep airing that show (if not for the pool of fangirls watching it). Thanks for sharing that bit of awesome, Synthesis. ='D

No, they do not need to make more episodes of this shit. Only good thing about Inu is Sesshomaru. A spin-off with him on his own travels is a different story.
Kagome needs to die a slow and painful death. That is the truth. |
Hello,
Though I dosagree with you as far as the series goes I like it. I do have to agree with you on a spin off of Sesshomaru That would be awsome. Teresa. |
I agree with Acer. When the manga ends, they'll most likely bring it back as an OVA that follows the manga to a T or more movies. And hopefuly cast better people if they do.
I used to be a fan, but I have to say this...even though some of the fillers were funny, most of them turned me off of the series. When I was watching AS I opped to skip Inuyasha intierly due to this. Another reason was the rabid fangirls. I just couldn't take them anymore so I desided to drop out of the fandom. Even though Inuyasha remains one of my favorite anime. It has become like pokemon where I only liked the first few seasons before it went down hill. |

I've seen quite a few episodes of the anime, although not quite the whole thing, and I really don't think it's either that great or that bad. What I'd like to see is for Takahashi to finally finish the damn manga (which she recently said is still a way off) and then start a new anime, whether it be OVA or TV from the beginning, the same way that Ah! My Goddess! has just been restarted. Acer is quite right when he states that Takahashi has a problem with endings, most of the time. The old anime needs to be nuked, because of the huge amounts of filler, and even the later manga chapters could do with being tightened up, from what I'm told. I'd like to see a good version of Inuyasha one day, but it won't be until the manga is complete. |
I would be highly interested in reading the mangas that follow the events of the anime. Any place i can get them all?
|
Hello,
yes you can though some are scans, and others are just reading with some pichures. Teresa. http://www.ear-tweak.com/ Just go to the manga section, and there you go. |
I remember previewing this in my school's anime club in 2002 or 2003. Can't remember, but I liked the first one or two episodes. Then when Naraku was introduced I got a bit more interested. I never got on the Sesshoumaru bandwagon since my friends were so crazy fangirl for him, and I found his very character a stiff, annoying and unimpressive walking cliche. Funny, considering the rest of the cast (and the medium).
The trend of "Naraku always gets away" and endless fillers (though I had no idea they were fillers and just assumed the series was poorly structured) turned me off, in a major way. I rebelled and started watching Naruto instead. THE VICIOUS CYCLE NEVER ENDS. |
I agree with most of the poster. I'd actually like to see a much shorter, to the point OAV incarnation would be welcome. That would have some potential.

I would just like to add to this conversation my sagely wisdom and knowledge:
They need to make more of this series as much as we need another Dragonball series. |

It's funny, I was ready to make a journal entry or something to comment on the current state of Inu Yasha. Honestly, I've pretty much given up on the show at this point. It has become the prime example of a series that started off strongly, then became bogged down with filler upon filler to the point of tedium (refrain from any Naruto comments, since I've only been watching the episodes from Toonami).
I haven't read any of the manga, so I'm not sure which parts are filler and which aren't, but that's irrelavent, because the entire series has become one big circle. I honestly can't believe how they've recycled the same plots over and over. Naraku increases his power, forms a powerful barrier (funny how it's ALWAYS a barrier. The term "barrier" is repeated almost as many times as the characters' names), Inu Yasha travels around to strengthen his sword, he manages to break Naraku's barrier and almost kills him, the bastard runs away and hides somewhere, gets his strength back, gets stronger, rinse and repeat. The non-Naraku parts are even worse. The stories involving other one-note villains are so bland and uininteresting it's almost too embarrasing to watch. No matter what language you're watching it with, there's no way you can take a name like "Nagi-nata of Tenkkon" (sp) seriously, especially when it's repeated ad nasuem. God, they even make filler that takes place after the filler. It's gotten so bad it's almost the equivalent of "filler bad guy's second cousin gets revenge". All this filler, and it has done absolutely nothing to add to the characters. Even Sango, who I really liked for her tragic backstory and cool design, has become a complete bore, along with Miroku. In fact, all those two do even more is repeat whatever Inu Yasha or Kagome say. Kagome: "The Tetsaiga had no effect!" Miroku: "It couldn't pierce the barrier!?" Sango: "The sword isn't strong enough!" Shippo: "Oh no!" The worst offender though is Sesshomeru. To hell with any of his fans, the man is the most boring character in the show, and that's very unfortunate. He certainly has the look and power, but he is never, ever challenged. You would think a fight between him and Naraku would be cool, but it always resorts to a match over which asshole is more pompous. Naraku, who is supposedly the greatest threat in the series, can never do any damage to Sessho, but never gets worried for a second. While Sessho, who is supposedly a badass, always stands around looking so bored he might fall asleep while standing. He never reacts to a single thing, even if Naraku has him in a trap or if some girl comes by and outright claims her love for him. Not showing any emotion whatsoever doesn't make you a badass, it makes you boring. And he still hasn't had a proper rematch with Inuyasha (the only guy who actually gave him a tough time), and he probably never will. I'm hoping at least that third movie will deliver on one of the two things lacking in anything involving Sesshomeru. I honestly thought during last night's episode that maybe, JUST MAYBE, with Inu Yasha's cool new attack, he would finally kill Naraku, and the series could focus on some other villain for a change (that white haired kid would be an interesting replacement). But no, once again Naraku escapes no matter how many chunks he's in, and the whole goddamn dance has started all over again. Christ, to hell with this show. At least in Dragon Ball Z the characters actually aged. |
