Renkin San-kyuu Magical Pokaan (a.k.a. MagiPoka)
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ipokaTitle.jpg MagiPoka (as it's often shortened to) is a currently running series that tells the story of the everyday life of four princesses from the World of Magic who are oblivious to the happenings in everyday life in the human world. It's a Slice of Life/Comedy show with a bit of Ecchi thrown in for good measure (hahaha japan). Characters Uma could be considered the main character of sorts. She's a happy-go-lucky witch, though she isn't all too good at spellcasting. She's the most oblivious of the group, and when pointing out her findings to the others, is dissapointed to find she's usually the last to find out about things. Pachira is a vampire, although she can be found eating normal food as well as thirsting for blood. She does have typical vampire weaknesses, such as reactions to garlic and daylight. She hates her breast size and can be usually found wandering around the city causing trouble for herself. Liru is a werewolf with an energetic personality and the ability to leap great distances, much like any other werewolf. She dislikes silver and loves meat. She appears to be the most level headed of the group, but even she finds her ways of getting into trouble. Aiko is a cyborg who performs all the chores and other duties around the house. She weighs over 300kg and is very quiet and reserved. Together the four girls manage to cause extreme hijinks, from trying to get the attention of a mailman to overordering from TV informercials. The show is being subbed by GIVEMEBLOOD and FROTH-BITE (GMB is currently ahead), and there are 11 episodes out as of 6/17/06. If you're unsure about it, I'd definetely reccomend you download and watch episode one. It's highly worth it. Otherwise, dive right in and get em all. ='D Torrent Listing |

What a moving series! I laughed, I cried (from laughing), and stared in utter disbelief at some points. And that was only the first episode after staggering through the opening theme. |
I like how the opening totally makes you think there's going to be some lolifurryyuri action going on.
This anime wins for being so crazy. |
Yeah, I'm not much of an anime fan, but this series is both excellent and hilarious. Although, personally, I think it could do without all the panty shots and some of the cruder jokes. But I guess since, as the series shows, every single guy in Japan is a pedo, that's part of the appeal.
Anyways, Liru rocks. Pachira fans, drop your track or leave forever. |
Episode 10: Oh my goodness, what the hell did I just watch

Hahaha awesome, can't believe I got you guys watching this. Seriously, I know I'm MEGA HOOKED, because Liru is made of extreme win. Her playing Umas #1 fan/show helper in Episode 6 had me rolling. Every time they scrolled the crowd she'd have that XD look on her face.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...okaScreen2.jpg =0 And as Lace said, this show wins so much for being random and just crazy as hell. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...okaScreen1.jpg I laughed forever. ::blood out of nowhere:: |
I've seen up through episode 5. I do believe Aiko wins forever XD
|
Does this have subtitles? How to enable them?
Can't understand a word. :( |
Just finished #9. Suffice to say, its such a cute series. >w< and I am loving parts of its sound tracks too. The light hearted piece that lead in with piano is just wonderful. It sounds really familiar though.
I wonder where we can find it? on Episode 9:
Luxo What do you use to watch it? I think you might be missing a component similar to Direct Vob Sub? |
Episode 12 was up as of this morning. I've downloaded and am seeding, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. =/

Also thanks Starman! My internet died this morning so I couldn't post any updates. This is awesome. =o |
i don't even really like anime, but after downloading and watching the two episodes i have to admit that this series is in fact comedy gold. i'm still laughing like a fool.

Although I can't believe it's really over. ;_; Glad the series ended on a positive note Spoiler:
Overall the series definetly provides some awesome entertainment (and far too many laughs), and I'm pretty sure Liru and Pachira agree it's over all too soon. ;_; http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ka12Screen.jpg OMG WHAT. |
Over already?
;________________________________________________; Question, though, if anyone has any idea, who exactly was Cammy? Apparently some sort of invisible mentor/authority figure to the girls, as far as the series shows. My guess is that she's a ghost, perhaps? |

;________________________________; Second season pls |
You can thank Kawaii Liru-Chan's avy/sig sets for making me interested in this series. I already downloaded all of the torrents but haven't been able to watch them yet.
According to CDJapan, the first DVD volume and the first DVD boxset both came out several days ago, on the 23rd. The second and third volumes, the second boxset, and the soundtrack are ALL being released within the next two months. Sources: DVD Vol. 1 DVD Vol. 2 DVD Vol. 3 Boxset Vol. 1 Boxset Vol. 2 Soundtrack EDIT: Whoops, didn't see that the soundtrack was already posted. ;_; |
DON'T WHIP IT OUT LIKE THAT
Absolute win :edgartpg: Seriously, a vote from me for best anime ever. |
Where the hell are the subtitles? I'm using MPC. I already downloaded all 12 episodes; don't leave me hanging.
|
You do have VobSub, right?

Let's hope they keep 'em coming. |

Double Post: Having problems getting that Matroska Pack installed. Corrupt install file and I already downloaded twice. I'm aborting this mission for now. |
I'm going to FileFront that fucker. Will update when it's done.
There we go: http://files.filefront.com/Matroska_.../fileinfo.html |

It will probably be a while before I get around to watching all of this, but I'll post my thoughts here when I do. ;) |
Ha, I love how every third episode is resolved by Uma flashing her panties.
|
Alright guys, my soundtrack came in the mail and I finally got a chance to rip it. =o I owe a huge thanks to Bigblah for translating the track titles and artist names.
I've uploaded a .rar here. Enjoy! |
I can confidently proclaim this soundtrack to be one of the best of its season. Noriyasu Agematsu is an awesome composer -- if you've heard the Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito Image Soundtrack, which he was involved in (as part of the group "feel"), some of the tracks here will sound slightly familiar.
|
The whole soundtrack described by one word: marvelous!
I have to admit, there are songs I wouldn't load on my mp3player (like "Like an Adventure Action Show..." and the TV-Sized Opening-Song from which I have the whole Version, which I ripped down from kawaii-radio a while ago) Well - I really enjoy that OST - thank you very much, tails  ah BTW: I've just reached ep.19 [through watching 5/6 animes and reading 3 mangas at the same time] - so there's still a lot to see ;) - Furthermore, I'll probably re-watch some episodes after replacing them with the Froth-Bite release ^_^ |
The first episode was pretty amusing, but I have a question about the other episodes. I got the full series from BoxTorrents, and it seems like they're out of order. The one labeled episode 2 is episode 3, the one labeled episode 3 is five. Is that a mistake or is there some joke I'm missing?
|
There's two "episodes" per episode.
Did you not notice the completely sudden plot change halfway between the first episode. |

Well, I still think it's strange, but now less so. |
I've got a technical problem, here. I've downloaded around 9 episodes of the series, so far. Subtitles work on 8 of the episodes. For some reason, they just won't show up on episode 1.
I use MPC and I have the latest CCCP installed, and given that the subs for the rest of the episodes work fine I can only assume there's nothing wrong there. I could get the Froth-Bite version, but I'd like to maintain consistency so that's not a preferable option. Any suggestions on what to do? |
I've manage to succesfully play the files using both VLC and KMPlayer, so you could download either one of those and use them to play the file (I personally don't have any codecs installed in my box). However, the downside is that the subs are very badly encoded. In VLC the subs sometimes overlap, and KMPlayer avoids this problem by simply throwing out one of the overlapping subs. I've only found this to be a problem in the OP and ED songs though.
|
Fixed the problem. It's kind of weird.
So, the subs won't display for me in MPC no matter what I do, but if I view them in WMP it works just fine, so... beats me. So long as I don't have to download additional junk, I'm satisfied. |
help pls?
okay this is the first time I've been in this place ever, and I don't know a torrent from a lima bean... please oh god please someone tell me how to play these episodes!! ;-;
|
|
uhhhh
my whatpad?.... I don't think I have one of those >.>'''
Like I said, I don't know anything about torrents :( |
clck meh lest txt nd go zooom zooooom!!!!!
|
okay I've gone over all that stuff and set up everything. So far it seems all a torrent is good for is making my computer a big expensive bin for holding the files so other people can grab them, which I wouldn't mind if I could just watch the show.. yet I remain unable to actually play the show I'm supposed to be downloading! there is no emote angry looking enough to express my feeling about this..
|
Dude it's pretty fucking easy. Bittorrent is just a peer2peer network blah blah jargon that allows you to download files. You download a torrent which has the information that allows you to connect to the main guy who's seeding the files and the swarm of other people downloading the same files as you. Eventually it'll be done downloading and then you'll become a seeder until you stop or kill the torrent. Oh and just like any other download once it's fucking done downloading the files you'll be able to play them.
Get a client, either bitlord, u-torrent, or azureus. Download the torrents you want. Run them and download the files you want and wait for them to finish. Enough said there. If you're having issues playing the anime, tv show, movie, whatever then you probably don't have the right codecs. Go download an easy to install codec pack and you problems should be over. http://www.cccp-project.net/ My recommendation is to play every type of video media in media player classic. It's the best video media player out there. It comes with most codec packs. Good god. |
Thank you, that was apparently what I was missing.
Though I wouldn't call it easy in any way when you try opening a file and you're missing a program you don't even know exists to make it work. Just remember there are people like me in this world who don't know what these things are... -.-' At any rate it works now and you're the person who got me from point A to B so thanks again! |
Well next time could you ask in a more appropriate thread and forum? Ugh. It's just that practically every torrent site has a faq or guide to doing these things. Just a little independent research will do you a good deal on the Internet.
Anyway, has anyone heard anything more about the MagiPoka OVA? =o |
