I think it would have been cooler if Hardy got to do his own theme music

Like he had in TNA? *shudders*

mortis Mar 4, 2008 05:33 PM

Mayweather supposedly said he wasn't 'stopping until be became WWE champ'. Ugh.

Oh, and with all the new themes, it's the usual "We are about to release a new theme music CD but we actually have to make them theme music for our wrestlers first to release that CD"

Oh, and speaking of TNA, it's been reported that Flair's retirement is so huge that even TNA wrestlers are buying their own tickets for the HOF. I hope the WWE doesn't do something foolish as this shows a ton of respect towards Flair.

Slash Mar 4, 2008 06:08 PM

I think that Flair being inducted is going to be like...the biggest thing possibly in HOF history.

And I don't know if i said this but apparently Cena was talking smack against The Rock saying how he hasn't given anything back to the industry or some shit like that.

Seriously...The Rock has DONE-IT-ALL. He's made appearances since he's left and yeah, it'd be nice to see him back in WWE but I don't want him back wrestling because when he wrestled with foley (the return of the rock n' sock) That was his last match, it was enjoyable and I don't think he needs to do any more.

dagget Mar 4, 2008 06:37 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if Cena was put up to talking shit on the Rock, to try and coax him back for another run. Hell Rock vs Cena would be interesting to watch, only because we know that NO ONE is going to boo The Rock during that match.

Slash Mar 4, 2008 06:57 PM

I think we can pretty much determine The Rock is "retired" from wrestling.

Looks like Rey Rey didn't just tear the bicep but completely ruptured it.

mortis Mar 5, 2008 03:31 AM

That's unfortunately for Rey Rey. I guess he'll be out for some time.

The Rock COULD come back but it's very doubtful. Still, him punking Cena would be a huge match that people would love to see.

Slash Mar 5, 2008 04:24 AM

The only think I know is that the Rock is coming back for the HoF and the cena "rant" is on pwinsider.

mortis Mar 5, 2008 06:02 PM

Which was barely a rant. I felt people blew that out of proportion. Still though, MAYBE something will come of it...

SuperSonic Mar 6, 2008 05:40 PM

Maybe the Rock will screw Cena out of the title at Wrestlemania 24? Actually, here's something better...Rock becomes a surprise entrant in the MITB ladder match, wins it, cashes in later that night and wins the title.

Please, anybody but freakin Cena as the champion. I'd hate to wake up March 31st, go to WWE.com and find out that Cena had the title again.

dagget Mar 6, 2008 11:47 PM

I honestly believe Triple H is going to end up leaving Wrestlemania with the title. Mainly because he's lost the last 2 to Cena. If he doesn't walk out champ, I expect a heel turn from him hat night or the next on Raw depending on who won. Honestly, I think Cena should be turned heel now. He got booed big time during that tag match on Raw, especially when he did that "You can't see me" shit to Triple H in the corner.

I just hope Kennedy is thrown in the mix soon, especially with it being "out of the bag" that Hornswoggle is not the son. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I seriously wouldn't mind seeing a Triple H/Kennedy feud, especially if they leave Kennedy heel for it.

When the hell is Bobby Lashley coming back anyway.

NOT

He is/was dating Krystal Marshall and when she left because of that retarded storyline WWE wanted to do, Lashley pretty much told them to go fuck themselves

mortis Mar 7, 2008 04:32 AM

I do feel the following will happen:

In the Triple Threat Match, Triple H will finally win it, pinning Orton.

Kennedy will come out, and beat down Triple H during his celebration. He'll demand his match and beat Triple H.

Kennedy will walk out of Mania as champ to the surprise of everyone.

Of course, Vince will play a part and it will later be explained that Kennedy is his son, and he's proud that Kennedy, his son, is champ.

Kennedy will feud with Triple H for the next few months, although he'll defend the title against Cena, a newly turned Orton (and Cena will turn heel), and then Triple H by Summerslam.

Slash Mar 7, 2008 04:37 AM

And then by some bizzare twist, Cena will come out champion by summerslam

mortis Mar 7, 2008 04:54 AM

Doubtful. Cena as a heel champ isn't serving the purpose VInce wants (merchandise). Doesn't mean it's impossible but I can't see it. Then again, a heel Cena may be like a Heel Rock...

Slash Mar 7, 2008 05:04 AM

The only way Cena would make a comeback as a heel is to do the trash talking rapping that he did.

mortis Mar 7, 2008 05:12 AM

Which he COULD. Do you remember The Rock when he went heel after a long face turn? As a face, he slowly but surely became like most old-fashioned faces (hand-shakes, playing the hero, etc), kinda like Cena has done. Then, when he turned heel, he did his heelish mannerisms and was red-hot again.

Winter Storm Mar 7, 2008 09:36 AM

The Rock would be under incredible ring rust. And knowing the WWE, they'd have the Rock job to Cena like everyone else has.

Manny Biggz Mar 7, 2008 10:02 AM

Let's talk about good wrestling. I just watched the epic 6 man Dragon Gate rules tag match from ROH's Supercard of Honor II. Now that's pro wrestling at its finest!

dagget Mar 7, 2008 10:12 AM

I need to lay my hands on some of this Ring of Honor stuff. I keep hearing such great things about it.

Manny Biggz Mar 7, 2008 05:38 PM

I'll see if I can find links to some good matches to start you up on. Their website is ROH Wrestling

Slash Mar 7, 2008 05:44 PM

I'd say look up Austin Aries and CM Punk in ROH. They did some very impressive stuff there

Manny Biggz Mar 8, 2008 01:25 AM

I'm one of the few that's not a huge Fan of Aries and Roderick Strong. They can still entertain me though, just not the guys I would go absolutly out of my way to see over and over again.

My favorite ROH regulars are:

Claudio Castagnoli
American Dragon Bryan Danielson (Sorry Angle fans, but THIS is the best wrestler in the world today)
Delirious
Jay and Mark Brisco (BEST TAG TEAM EVER)
Jimmy Jacobs
BJ Whitmer

A lot of the current X Division guys in TNA, and Samoa Joe, all had much better days in ROH too.

Here's a good quickie I found after a quick search. The current ROH World Champion (he's the Pure Champ in this vid. thank god that belt is gone now >_<) Nigel McGuinness vs Delirious (He's a great worker and a unorthodox character)

ROH - Nigel McGuinness vs. Delirious

And that's just a quick match. Every DVD has mostly 20+ minute epic showdowns. Nearly the whole library is worth a purchase for sure. The booker is a amazing story teller too. Here's a great thread, on their boards, to help you if you wanna start watching their earlier stuff.

Ring of Honor Discussion Forum - ROH DVD Chapter Points - for new fans

Slash Mar 8, 2008 01:32 AM

I agree with you...WWETNA is kinda sucking up...oops. I mean TNA is kinda getting boring with WWE main-event hasbens (because i don't think Christian was given a true shot in the WWE) getting stuck and taking up all the light

Manny Biggz Mar 8, 2008 01:57 AM

Here's another quickie match with the Briscoes. I don't know the guys they're fighting, but the one in the blue tights is a great seller. Very enjoyable match.

ROH - The Briscoes vs. SJK and Jason Blade

And here's the first of the 2 legendary six man dragon gate tag matches in ROH. One of the best matches you will EVER see.

ROH - Do Fixer vs Blood Generation (full match) Extreme Video on IMEEM Video

It's hard to go back to WWE and, sometimes, TNA when ya watch stuff like this on a regular basis.
