Since I probably won't be here for Armegeddeon, gonna go ahead and make a prediction now.

Jericho beats Orton for the Title, in where Triple H does his heel turn (or at least starts it). Fully completing at Royal Rumble (since the match between him and Jeff Hardy is for a Title shot at the Rumble). So I'm guessing it's going to be Triple H vs Jericho at Wrestlemania (or maybe at the Rumble)

If Triple H stays face for Wrestlemania, I think this could be the first time he was face for one?

SuperSonic Dec 4, 2007 11:40 AM

Actually no. Can't remember the number, but I believe he was face when he won the title back from the Wrestlemania in 2002. It was when he came back from his quad injury.

El Ray Fernando Dec 4, 2007 06:01 PM

Why are the crowds so lethargic?

Even with Jericho, Orton, Trips etc.. you don't get good or a bad reaction, theres no sense of atmosphere or noise as of late.

mortis Dec 4, 2007 06:48 PM

Heh, and on top of it, Trips was a face against none other than Jericho.

El Ray Fernando Dec 4, 2007 06:58 PM

Is there any point to having this 'greatest wrestler in Raw's History' when its so obvious it will be Mr Mcmahon.

A good sign that they should've kept DX around. Also, who's the greatest wrestler in Raw's history? Well, obviously it is a McMahon...it could be Hornswaggle! XD

If they were serious about this, it would be Stone Cold.

Slash Dec 4, 2007 11:44 PM

Maybe the APA will make their return...I mean they got a HUGE pop last night

Winter Storm Dec 5, 2007 12:28 AM

Well, maybe they will. JBL makes it obvious that he wants it to happen. He's ALWAYS talking about the times him and Ron Simmons used to team up as the APA. Comparing young teams with them and stuff. But he's got to get rid of that "JBL" persona and use his ol' bradshaw attitude.

I doubt it, but I know it wont be Bret Hart out of spite.

El Ray Fernando Dec 6, 2007 03:09 PM

Is it true the rock will be wrestling/making some sort of appearance on RAW.

I'd love to see the APA come back but alas I only see this happening due to the 15 year anniversary show.

mortis Dec 6, 2007 05:59 PM

For the Rock, he already has turned down the offer.

I pretty much felt the same about the APA. It makes no sense for JBL to go back to the way he was, especially being a broadcaster and all. One, or maybe for the 15th anniversary, two shot deal.

Slash Dec 6, 2007 06:03 PM

Well...if the writers were smart they'd bring them back after seeing how big a pop they got. It seems like there aren't like...any true brawling tag teams any more. I mean Jesse and Festus are half brawl half fly, Kendrick and London (wherever they went) are all high flying. Deuce and Domino are but they don't bring any real excitement nor do they get me to actually want to watch them.

With the APA you knew they were going to kick ass. I mean how awesome was it to just have a door frame and if people don't enter through it they tell them to use the door.

El Ray Fernando Dec 6, 2007 06:47 PM

I'd love to see a bar room brawl if the APA will stick round for the big 15 (with big names not jobbers), its weird watching old clips of them on youtube with the way Bradshaw used to speak with that beard and oily black hair ahh the old days.

I lol'd everytime.

I'm of the opinion now they should destroy the 2 rosters and amalgamate them back into 1 with both shows being 3 hours long like Nitro used to be. Having talent divided just sucks on epic proportions now rather than waiting for someone to jump brand.

Also what happened to all the luchador talent, WCW used to be rife with it: psychosis, Eddy and Chavo (remember pepe the horse and eddy not letting him join the LWO), la parka, Guerrera, Psychosis, Rey Mysterio not to mention folks such as Malenko, Blitzkrieg, Jericho, Kidman, Ultimo Dragon etc..whereas the WWE has a shameful crusierweight divison. I used to think some of the cruiserweight high flying stuff was better than the headliners and I cry not seeing it anymore.

Why is there always a need for every match to have a story (e.g. you screwed my title match) can it just not be a pure spectacle of wrestling??

EDIT: Also is it true Sting is considering wrestling for WWE as well as continuing for TNA? (wikipedia)

mortis Dec 7, 2007 04:32 AM

I think people at the Torch were giving that (Sting in WWE to wrestle Flair) as an option to be Flair's last match. hence, the idea of Sting maybe going to the WWE. I doubt it though. He is winding down his career, and he was rumored to be done after this year.

Sorry I had to post this

And that their is a good reason why Jericho isn't using his lionsault...at least not until he gets rid of the ring rust.

SuperSonic Dec 8, 2007 02:20 AM

Ouch...that guy's neck is gonna be jarred for a long time.

mortis Dec 8, 2007 02:23 AM

Worse, try paralyzed.

SuperSonic Dec 8, 2007 02:53 AM

Oh shit...yeah, that visual is really decisive proof that Jericho shouldn't do the Lionsault for a while. However, he did try to go for the Lion Tamer Monday Night didn't he?

mortis Dec 8, 2007 03:32 AM

I didn't see the match so I dunno.

But yeah, the amazing thing is the same guy who got crippled by the move also botched a swanton by landing on his head or something like that. It amazed me THAT move didn't cripple him.

Given the year we have had, wrestling-wise, I would rather not see Jericho try it and result in another tragedy becuase he wasn't ready to do it yet.

dagget Dec 8, 2007 06:21 AM

He did the Lionsault on Monday, perfectly. He went for the Liontamer and JR called it that and stopped himself short. (They didn't even call the rope moonsault the Lionsault either) . I think he was going to try and do the actual Liontamer and not that lame Walls of Jericho/boston crab crap.

Slash Dec 10, 2007 08:17 PM

Why can't RAW be this good every week?

Spoiler:

WWE Needs to pay attention...Well...I don't know if Godfather got a huge pop but still...HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TRAIN!

Spoiler:

HOLY SHIT!!! RVD?!?

SuperSonic Dec 10, 2007 09:44 PM

This has been one of the best Raw shows I've seen. It keeps getting better with this battle royal that's about to happen.

Slash Dec 10, 2007 10:35 PM

Spoiler:

I'm glad the crowd was respectful enough to not scream "You screwed Matt" or anything like that

SuperSonic Dec 10, 2007 11:21 PM

Raw of the year confirmed. If any of you missed it tonight, I highly recommend you get a copy of it whenever you get a chance. 3 hours, and all of it was actually entertaining.

Kostaki Dec 11, 2007 03:57 AM

If what I read on the recap is supposed to be considered the "Raw of the Year" at any length, then I don't even want to see what the worst Raw looks like.

Sorry, but there's no real way you can celebrate 15 years in the WWE anymore. The most memorable are either dead, no longer care about wrestling, are too injured to do anything decent, or are employed in a company where they can continue to be memorable to a degree.

The show was basically once again the McMahon show. I expected to hear that this show was like watching a Wrestlemania on free TV, and instead it was just a huge gathering of jobbers and retired wrestlers. Thanks, but no thanks WWE.
