Well, some bad news and foolish news.

The bad news is what i thought might be going on in that Matt Hardy is injured. HE had to have surgery and will be out a few months. I had a feeling on this due to what happened at SUrvivor Series. I had hoped this wouldn't happen due to his feud with MVP, but maybe they can keep Hardy around on the mic, as they did with MVP when he had to sit out for a month or so.

The foolish is that Shelton Benjamin is now on ECW (and therefore also Smackdown!). Very strange given that he had teamed with Haas the night prior for a loss. I guess there goes the WGTT (even though they kinda didn't do so well this time around), and probably Haas as well who was lost when he returned, semi-lost when he got teamed up again, and probably will be again now.

Slash Nov 21, 2007 02:37 AM

But the biggest thing I'm wondering is...how did Benjamin get pushed over to ECW?

I seriously am sensing the brand extension coming to an end.

Maybe WWE has noticed that certain people are watching SD and others are watching RAW because they don't have any interest in a particular brand

Yay for fucked up WWE writers...

Apparently the reason Kristal was kicked (you know..the chick who almost married teddy long) didn't want to do a certain angle...and I don't blame her. Basically the WWE wanted her to be the person who was the cause of the attack on Teddy, to get revenge (and she was going to be Edge's Lita) for stripping him of the title.

I would have loved to see them attempt to pull that off for 5 months

One of the greatest promos ever.

First nWo Announcement

Just posting this to remind everyone how promos used to be when wrestling was actually good.

SuperSonic Nov 21, 2007 03:25 AM

LMAO!!! Hogan almost forgetting about his match. I actually have the Nitro that has this promo back in 1996. Oh man, this was hilarious.

Actually, all of those nWo announcements have been pretty funny. Look for the one about the Four Horsemen, Piper, and Zybysko.

The lita thing was a real life incident as we all know. Secondly, a "cause a heart attack" script is the lowest any damn company can go. I want to know why bad health conditions are thought of as one big joke ..:/

Why not just do away with the tag team division?

RAW has 3 teams, and two of which are exciting to watch. Smackdown has bap teams(not counting Hardy and MVP), and ECW has NO teams. WTF.

Slash Nov 21, 2007 01:07 PM

You are correct in saying the lita thing was real but I don't think WWE needed to push them both into the whole storyline.

El Ray Fernando Nov 21, 2007 06:49 PM

After seeing Jericho's return, I cannot wait for Edge to regain his fitness; a feud between those 2 for the title would be simply awesome.

I'm totally gutted for Matt Hardy his feud with MVP was really well done.

Crash "Long-Winded Wrong Answer" Landon Nov 21, 2007 07:04 PM

Jericho's reappearance was a total joke. Who dressed him, Harvey Fierstein? Jericho looked like a total queer. Short, neatly parted hair, irridescent vest, pleated slacks - he wasn't dressed for WWE, he was dressed to be the main lead in the Broadway musical "Suckin' Cock".

I'd be more intimidated by Todd Grisham.

El Ray Fernando Nov 22, 2007 05:51 AM

I swear he wore that same vest last time he made his debut.

mortis Nov 22, 2007 07:11 AM

He may very well as sometimes a certain mask/tights/boots represent something. For example, Rey Mysterio wore a certain type of mask during his more significant wins, I think Trips wore a special type of boots for his Mania 20 defense, Michaels wore a special set of tights for his farewell match (at the time) almost ten years ago, Austin wore a special type of vest in his last match, and so on.

I thought the new look was nice. Jericho obviously wanted to freshen up his look, I guess to remind people that it's a fresh start, and a new one for Jericho.

HIs promo was decent, and people were really into it. Some though felt he was TOO excited, but what can one expect when ya get pumped from that crowd? Sides, let the man enjoy it...I'm sure the WWE will mess it all up when things are said and done.

Erisu Kimu Nov 22, 2007 11:46 AM

Yeah...

PPV Results - Randy Orton successfully defends the WWE Championship against Chris Jericho.

It's back to mid-card hell again for Jericho after that. Unless, they decide to make it an on-going feud that lasts longer. In that case, Jericho might have a second chance at winning the title.

mortis Nov 22, 2007 05:54 PM

I can see it now when Jericho had things set up for his contract:

Jericho: "Oh, and i come back, I want to win the WWE title." *THinks of beating Randy Orton*

vince: "Oh, sure, no problem. Just sign right here!" *Thinksof Jericho climbing up a ladder to grab the the title during a title defense in a match he wasn't involved in, only to be beaten 2 minutes later by challenger, Triple H*

Well, brothers, looks like Hulk Hogan is single.

Linda Hogan files for divorce from Hulk - Yahoo! News

All kidding (and annoyed feelings do to what he did during the latter years of WCW, among other things), a shame to see this happen, especially at Hogan's age. It seems that just about every wrestler nowadays is divorcing. Rock. Bret Hart. Of course, Ric Flair. And now, the Hulkster.

SuperSonic Nov 24, 2007 02:42 AM

Yeah, sucks for Hogan. I watched the show a few times, but I'm guessing that does it for Hogan Knows Best. Well, I hope the family gets through it.

dagget Nov 26, 2007 05:25 PM

Looks like we may be in for another round of everyone's favorite show... The Triple H show!

SuperSonic Nov 26, 2007 06:09 PM

Nothing wrong with that. I can put up with Triple H more than I can with Cena.

Slash Nov 26, 2007 06:12 PM

this is what...the 90 billionth time HHH would have turned on Michaels?

Erisu Kimu Nov 26, 2007 06:13 PM

Oh geez. Out of all people, Triple H wants to feud with HBK again?! AGAIN?! I know he's his close friend and all, but I don't think that's a feud that should resurface. I got tired of it since 2002.

Winter Storm Nov 26, 2007 06:40 PM

This time we might see HBK get thrown through a limo window, and it'll drive off with him still in the window, and then a bus will hit the limo head on. It'll explode.

The driver of both vehicles, and person who threw him through the window will be HHH.

HBK will be out for longass time, and it'll be Monday Night Game for about 13 months. Wrestle Mania 25 will come and Randy Orton is a thing of the past - HHH will have the belt. HBK in his LAST LAST title opportunity will win it and then retire(and get pedigreed at the ceremony that will be on the following Monday Night Raw, while on the ground struggling to get up, he'll be punted by Randy Orton).

SEVERAL YEARS PASS and there will be LEAKED promos of HBK returning, and official promos. A picture of a big male ass(also familiar pants design) with a heart on it and then faded out with a date. By this time, HHH will be a 57-time World Heavy Weight Champion. He will be talking and the camera will zoom in on him, the arena will black out and then come back with HHH on the mat out cold. HBK will be there looking at him the way he looked at Hogan when he superkicked him. He'll grab the mic and say:

"WRESTLE MANIA 42"
"HELL IN A CELL"

Slash Nov 26, 2007 06:41 PM

Unless they remove the brand thing...the WWE is fucked because they only have so many people they can recycle in storylines

mortis Nov 26, 2007 07:09 PM

So there goes Trips staying a face like he supposedly wanted to do.

Makes slight sense given that 1) there is a small number of heels and 2) no one else is realyl a good candidate to turn heel. Still, we HAVE seen this over, and over, and OVER again...

SuperSonic Nov 26, 2007 09:40 PM

That announcement was really awesome, I was fooled. :D Then McMahon and Orton had to ruin it.

Spoiler:
Ric Flair is the man, but unfortunately...I see tonight being his last night. He'll end it in Charlotte, guaranteed.

Spoiler:
Nope. He's scheduled to go at least until Wrestlemania. If he ends it tonight, it'll be surprising for sure. Austin had come up with this storyline for Flair's last run before he retires.

15 out of 40 in the Raw roster are heels...is that really a small number? Unless you're saying major heels, in which case I can understand.

Edit: I'll be damned, there's an Extreme Rules Match tomorrow on ECW between Kane and Big Daddy V.

Golfdish from Hell Nov 26, 2007 10:42 PM

Okay, the Carlito/Hornswoggle bit qualifies for both the stupidest and funniest moment of the year. Carlito sold it really good though...Not sure if it would have worked with anyone else (especially him eating the apple afterwards).

Although it is sad to see Carlito being reduced to comedy relief...

DAMN!
