I greatly appreciate that news as well, i quite like the other album, a nice winter sound should be nice.

That's great news! I figure the best possible fact is that this means Yotsuba will experience two more seasons. Just typing that out puts a smile on my face.

And there's no point in going through winter without having Yotsuba's second-favorite season right afterward--she has to see the cherry blossoms! :superhappy:

I sure hope we get at least a full "year" in the manga. Actually, what I'd love is for it to go into next fall where she starts school for the first time. But I'll gladly take whatever Azuma wants to give us. :D

Now there's an idea. Do they have preschool or kindergarden programs in Japan?

Of course they do. Japanese are strangedifferent, but not that different. =\

FatsDomino Nov 7, 2006 03:50 PM

Yes, they have them. You've never seen the stereotypical cute helmet outfits they wear? =o

Never seen the helmets, but I'm glad I learned something new today.

Azuma just updated his blog with a link to the new Yotsuba&! calendar at Amazon. About the only things I can make out of his post are the release dates for the new album and Vol. 6.

(I keep hoping one day I'll surf over there to find the announcement that "We are finally making Yotsuba&! into an anime series!" Which when run through an online translator, will come out as "The certain thing is horse chestnut upcoming we produce." Hooray for Babelfish, your Portal to the Land of Wind and Ghosts.)

Here it is the place, renewal is stagnant. Well it is usual thing, but. After the summer, there being preparation in various ways, all the way it is full with work. From now on extending through the winter, it meaning that the side comes out, we ask may.

*nod nod

Truer words have never been spoken.

(Or should I say, "Speaking no I bowl of soup rub from true?")

I finally read the Yotsuba manga from chapter 1-6.. It rocked.. One of the Best manga out there.. With a unique style of comedy similar to Azumanga Daioh where the storylines are entirely based on the characters personalities..

Grawl Nov 12, 2006 07:09 PM

Can someone re-upload chapter 40 please?

Summonmaster Nov 12, 2006 08:00 PM

Here you go, Chapter 40.

Yotsuba anime would be hilarious, and I hope she's still cute without being annoying if that were to come true.
To cell phone: "SHUT UP!!!"

It's been a while since I've updated around here. That's usual, I guess. Now that Summer's over, there are lots of preparations to make, and a ton of work to do. Winter's coming, and I wish you and yours the best.

I now present the 2007 calendar, which was made in collaboration with KAKUTA Miho-san. Now on sale at Amazon and Anime-mate. You can probably get it at Tora-no-ana. It's fan rank is higher than last year's, I think.

It's finally here. November 22, the Kuricorder Pops Orchestra's second "Yotsuba&♪" release. It's a musical suite of "Jack Frost". Yotsuba is genki in winter, too.

Then on December 16, "Yotsuba&" volume 6 comes out. At that same time, the Yotsuba picture book "Yotsuba& Black and White Animals" also comes out.

Later, "Yotsuba 2007 day calendar" comes out. You can't buy it yet, but they've started to take pre-orders.

That's the schedule so far. I'll update you on the details as they become available. For now, I'm still working on volume 6. Ah, but a few days ago I was dragged off for a break. I took a much-loved airplane trip to go see the horse chestnuts. I'll say more about that next time.

I also noticed that at the end of Yotsuba chapter 41, that chapter 42 won't be out until the Feb 2007 issue of Dengeki Daioh(電撃大王), which hits store shelves December 21, 2006.

Amazon.co.jp international shipping usually costs around US$30, so I guess I'll wait until the end of December to order everything at once.

Yeah, that's the Pani Poni Dash OP flash parody that's been around somewhat (and posted here). Nothing official, unfortunately, but awesome regardless, and this video quality is terrific <3

I come bearing news, 4chan.biz the new cd up for download, downloading now ^^.

--edit--

Personally i don't think its as good as the last one, Then again, it does have some really good parts so I'll have to listen to both a few times before i decide. It covers the entire winter as opposed to the first one which covered one summer day, which i can't say i like as much, but i understand. To its favor i guess alot of what i liked about the original was comparing it to the manga, and since i can't do that its a bit harder for me to relate it to yotsubato as opposed to just a decent winter themed symphonic peace.

There is one thing i can say though, out of all of the soundtracks for manga/anime, these are still high on my list.

map car man words telling me to do things Dec 3, 2006 01:53 PM

I was just listening to this yesterday.

Especially Spring Cleaning on New Year's Eve is wonderful. It's an interesting contrast to say the least, that Winter General covers the whole winter as opposed to one single day. It's probably not as immediately catchy as the first album, but there's already a number of pieces that have grown on me.

Most of all, I can't wait for the manga to get to winter. Should be wonderful times.

I really loved it myself. I tended to appreciate the peices that had a larger set of instruments playing at once, but otherwise it was really nice. It certainly had some cherishable moments and I'll be keeping those songs on my computer for years to come.

I can't wait to get back home and give it another lesson--I'll be even happier once I have the manga to accompany it!

fireball87 Dec 6, 2006 01:15 AM

I've listened to it about 6 times this week, and i think i like it a bit more then i did the first time i listened to it. I do find these things are pretty effective at putting you in a good mood, they're pretty light hearted and fun (as opposed to alot of orchestra, when tends to focus on the more depressing side of the music) so it really fits the manga pretty well.

Trigunnerz Dec 6, 2006 11:43 PM

I just started listening to it. Sure reminds of the music from Azumanga.
