Glenn's backstory is approaching 3000 words, and so much more has yet to happen. I think Pang may have inspired some sort of creative spark in me. It feels weird.
On another note, i'm back. Glenn should now at least be able to keep up with the rest of the G-unit. |
It's the first Tuesday of the month, and that means it's time for the nerf bat!
Healer's Lore now only applies to powers that use surges! Aid Another now carries a -1 penalty for failure, so there's an actual risk involved! Mounts may now be Medium sized, if ridden by a small character. Lightning Arrows no longer inflict Dazed status. Zerg, there has also been a change to Throw and Stab that may impact your game. Thump. |
Whew. It's a good thing I didn't make more lightning arrows.
If they're errata-ing Throw and Stab because it inflicts too much damage on a single enemy, I guess Twin Strike will be nerfed in the next update :( Thanks for the heads up Pang. _____________ The errata also says aid another is no longer set to DC10, but scales based on 10 + half the aided character's level. Does this mean that now we roll 1d20 and add the relevant skill bonuses, instead of just rolling a simple 1d20? |
Just as a one-time courtesy I'll point out that Puyet has a power that lets his allies shift half their speed when he rolls initiative. I'd hate to see Glenn melted to sludge before his first combat turn.
DON'T ACTUALLY USE THAT POWER OR ANYTHING THOUGH, HAWK DEFINITELY DOESN'T WON'T NEED THAT SKIN LATER Quote:
Welp! |
This isn't a SNES RPG guys, you don't open every box.

Correct answer: The min-maxing boards recommend against opening all boxes. A 70% box opening strategy reaps greater rewards while ruining all semblance of fun. |
Uh, he just gave Hawk his toolkit for the express purpose of opening it. If Zerg was playing pure CharOp he would've been desperate to keep the obviously-trapped box shut since the tight dungeon corridors severely limit his archery options. Cal is a pretty three-dimensional character even if he is horrifyingly skeevy.
Springing obvious traps, getting into easily-avoidable fights... this... this nostalgic feeling~! |
It won't be anywhere near as epic until someone starts in with the ye olde movie and band jokes.
|
I will PK the shit out of anybody who starts that crap up again.

One of you should go and grab that frost goblin and feed it to the Pudding to slow it down a bit. First rule of dungeoneering, always engage as many hostiles as possible in any given fight.
Does anyone in the current party have an area attack? That many minions standing bunched up like that is crying out for a nice fireball or something. |
Hay Pang, what's the to-hit of longbowing a jar of piss at X10, hence scattering painful shards of glass and acidic micturation in a 5-foot radius? :tpg:
|
I say lead the pudding to the elf and (goblin? orc?) in the first room. It's pudding ain't it, that's a kind of food!
|
Mmm, an excellent suggestion, lurker!
Too bad we all know Pang will surely find a way to twist it so that the elf and goblin join the pudding against us. :( |

Awww, okay. I guess I'll just have to smash that right in front of the pudding to form a physical barrier while Hawk kites it to death :tpg:
|
Saving urine? At least Zerg's character is being a true-to-life hoarder.
|
Zerg, the only way that broken glass will stop or slow down the pudding is if you create an actual barrier with it. You know like fucking full metal alchemist a fucking glass wall up to the ceiling or some shit. Tiny fragments of glass are just going to be rolled over. Pudding just can't dissolve glass is all. I bet if the glass wall was not thick enough the pudding could probably smash through glass too.
|
Shhhhhh if he wants to cover the sticky glob in chunks of broken glass let him do it
|
I hope someone keeps up the tradition of shitting on the gems the blob was hoarding so nobody wants to take them after the fight.
Additional Spam: Also, at the risk of suggesting something sensible and preventing a team member getting killed, thereby hastening my own return to the game, remember the blob is blind and attracted to heat or something, you could conceivably lure it into the first room and into the pit trap, if everyone else charges the goblins to get out of the way and Hawkeye gets the blob to chase him round the corner, he'd need only to stand the other side of the pit and the blob should fall in. That's not to say it couldn't get out but it'd take it out of the equation for a while and if it was stuck in there you could spend all day shooting arrows at it until it died, or leave it for the next chump to fall in the hole. |
Hopefully this works out like I hope
|
Kinda sucks in retrospect, as a lot of my moves depend on knowing the placement of my allies and such. I have to wait for everybody to resolve their turns to know what I should do.
|
@Garr: You should be able to move to W11 with no problem. May I suggest you consider "Tide of Iron" instead of Cleave? If successful, you can push him such that Puyet can move to V10 without provoking an OA.
@Zeph: Yeah, but you grant so many free basic attacks to your allies. For instance if only my Action-Pointed Twin Strike hit even once, I could've gotten in a free ranged basic attack due to your Bravura presence  On the other hand, some of your powers are rather risky, basically begging Pang to hit you if you miss with them. :( |
Question: If I use an action point and use Brash Assault twice, or any other power for that matter, do I get the effect twice. If I get hit, would it grant two attacks instead of one?
