Can I leap over tables, or are they difficult terrain?

No. Hard Pass. Jul 10, 2008 04:32 PM

I can't believe you walked off and played in slime. >8(

Zephyrin Jul 10, 2008 04:35 PM

You're just jealous because I was off in the back room getting sticky.

The answer to both of these questions is yes.

ALSO: updated the class/race selection to include Warforged and Artificers

Mostly because you didn't bring me. Also, if my Paladin gets eaten by a huge slime, I'm going to murder your wife.

Does that mean the handbook you have available for download has been updated? I'll refrain from using your bandwidth unnecessarily if it hasn't.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 10, 2008 07:06 PM

No, but I just added the separate pdfs for those options into the OP (they're about 10 pages apiece)

I love that the Life Seeker paragon path for the Warforged is basically Data from TNG.

Animechanic Jul 10, 2008 08:18 PM

"Why hello there Iron Man, how nice to see you in this fine fantasy setting."

Also, how long before someone decides they want to be a Warforged just so they can go for the juggernaut paragon path and yell "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" at every available opportunity?

Damn, I must have comic books on the brain today.

The unmovable stubborn Jul 10, 2008 08:27 PM

Sadly thanks to 4E revisions puny weapons are in fact now able to harm them :(

Zergrinch Jul 10, 2008 09:06 PM

Is there any room for an NPC whose only role is to trip one of the heroes and break his nose? :3:

No. Hard Pass. Jul 10, 2008 09:41 PM

Hey Pang. Next time let's play Exalted.

You could be a purposely useless bard, but, uh....we might not see much of you.

Question for you, Pang: I'm looking at the cleric page in the handbook, and I'm not seeing any charisma checks being needed for spells. Where exactly do they fit into my rolls?

The unmovable stubborn Jul 11, 2008 06:48 AM

Well, uh, honestly, they don't (much). There are a few powers here and there that gain bonuses from your Charisma but you can probably avoid them if you prefer; Wisdom is much more important for a Cleric. Charisma-based holy violence is largely the domain of the Paladin these days.

Animechanic Jul 11, 2008 06:53 AM

Hmm... I may change my race/class selection in the near future. Upon hearing of my newfound interest my roommate is taking me to a DnD session on Saturday, and apparently Reptis has already been drafted for that.

Details on new character to follow, not that I need to rush since I'm so far down the list.

Oh yeah, Artificer is just a preview, so playing one at this point would kind of suck. "Hmm... choose two at-will powers, wait... there's only one... crap!"

The unmovable stubborn Jul 11, 2008 07:03 AM

Well, there's two at-wills there, so as long nobody picks Human Artificer there's no worries.

Bah, I fail at two column scrolling. There are indeed two. But everyone is supposed to get two at-will powers. Humans get two feats.

Humans also get a bonus at-will power (for a total of 3)

I have blundered into a classes DnD mistake. Never question the DM.

Anyways, put me down for a Warforged Warlock. No name decided upon yet.

Zephyrin Jul 11, 2008 02:04 PM

That ooze scurrs me.

Animechanic Jul 11, 2008 06:34 PM

But there's always room for JELL-O!

...or maybe this one always has room for you.

Also, if that thing eats you, I just want you to remember that I called it.

Here's hoping for some murderizing.

Zephyrin Jul 11, 2008 07:26 PM

How did I run so far?

The unmovable stubborn Jul 11, 2008 07:37 PM

Deft Strike (since you didn't specify what to use with your bow) and a good jump roll.

Animechanic Jul 11, 2008 07:47 PM

I was assuming it was just pants-wetting fear.

Name for Warforged Warlord shall be "Lens", I guess.
