I know we haven't had a group match for the longest time but this new expansion looks so badass and worth getting.

Whoever's in charge of the Gamingforce clan, I applied for it, so someone accept me already. Lmao.

I've been playing it lately, and id love to play some GFFers in it. Please lets all play one night :)

Inhert Oct 11, 2008 02:55 PM

I passed the lead to Chip since I don't play anymore. I might return when the new Meme expansion will be out, but I still haven't bought the first one, so I'll way to see if there will be a bundle of the two expansions...

People still playing this? I'm on pretty often, but I get my ass handed to me everytime.

It's getting really annoying how the only chance you have at killing someone is with a headshot. I unleash a full M4 clip on some guy from behind, he turns around and caps me in the head with a pistol as I'm still shooting him. It just seems so broken sometimes.

It's also too bad that there's only, like, 4 people in the clan. I have yet to even play with one of you guys.

That was one of my biggest problems, getting headshots. But after taking a few training classes with a couple of friends I'm finally getting the hang of it, see, there are training rooms that aren't only auto grad rooms. haha. But yeah, I was lucky to find a good instructor.

Oh yeah, eprox, if you want to just go one on one and just chill and have fun without a care in the world, then just send me a message over to my PSN ID. I'm all for having fun playing MGO with you guys from GFF.

Chip Oct 17, 2008 11:31 PM

Oh hell... Sorry I was not online to approve the clan application, my connection died for almost a month. I will be going for it later, just lemme finish my update of Life with Playstation. XD

Karasu Nov 1, 2008 12:13 PM

Guys we all should really play and do survival. Id love to work together with all of you and develop a good team.

Chip Nov 22, 2008 12:59 AM

Im still debating whether or not to grab the expansion... lmao

Karasu Nov 22, 2008 01:01 AM

When I get some money next week, I plan on purchasing it.

Hantei Nov 22, 2008 01:27 AM

Already purchased, just waiting for its release on Tuesday! Also, it seems that inorder to get Meme you must have Gene. But they got a great deal where you can get both for $14.99, hopefully more people will start hosting the new maps. Can't wait to try Ocelot, though I imagine Meiling probably won't be too popular since she's purely support.

Chip Nov 22, 2008 01:28 AM

For that price, I think I'd grab SF II HD Remix first :|

Yo. Bumping this thread because I've been playing the MGO demo, and I fully intend to play the real MGO once I get MGS4, which I have been meaning to do for a while now.

So, just checking to see if any of you guys are still active in MGO. Oh, and the demo is on a seperate server, I confirmed this with a random PSN friend the other night.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Jan 21, 2009 12:07 AM

While I don't know if he's still around on the boards, I still see Karasu on my PSN buddy list playing it from time to time. It might be worth asking him via AIM or PSN message, since I'm unsure of anyone else who's still actively playing it.

Animechanic Jan 21, 2009 12:57 AM

Everyone got bored huh? Seems like a pretty decent game to me, especially considering the base game comes free with MGS4. Oh well. Guess I am just too late to the party.

Karasu Jan 21, 2009 01:47 AM

Actually that's pretty much all I play nowdays on my PS3. Dont get me wrong, I play some CoD4 and what not...but MGO is all the rage for me. im a lvl 13 right now, and ive gotten pretty good at the game, thanks to some training I got. MGO isn't dead.

Shenlon Jan 21, 2009 11:15 AM

It's not that I got bored, just bored playing with random people ^^
I enjoyed the snake matches I had with people here though. I just pop it in from time to time when I feel sneaky :3

Karasu Jan 21, 2009 05:05 PM

You just gotta play some friends and stuff. For instance, I frequent the SRK forums a lot, and they have a bunch of people there that play MGO. Plus the clan im in, ive developed friends there as well. So when I play, i try to not play with randoms, but at the same time...its good to play with high lvl people, that way you can lvl yourself up.

Hantei Jan 21, 2009 07:35 PM

Haha, yea MGO really is one of the reasons why I still use my PS3. Though to be honest, I don't even play that much MGO anymore either. It kind of got boring since all people ever host are TDM or TSNES games, and they're always on the same 5 maps. Plus very few hosts actually use unique characters, who really add another level of fun to the game. My favorite game type is Base and very few hosts dedicate to it, and times that I find one the game is really stacked (like 8 vs 5).

Now the only time I actually bother logging in is when there's survival. And I'm pretty much guranteed a team every survival since my clan members frequent that and tournament. Though, even now I don't frequent survival all that much, I used to never miss a single night, too much BS during it (trash talking, glitching, and occasional network errors on my end) plus there's not much in the reward shop that I want (they really need to start adding more than 1-2 items everyweek).

Karasu Jan 22, 2009 11:17 PM

Well I made a new character and I plan to do it right this time. Since my first character was my newbie one, the one I learned the game on, my kill/death ratio is all fucked. With this new character, I know how the game plays, and how the players play. Now, i'll be able to get FOX or Foxhound properly.

Seriously, for a shooting game..it is deep. There are tactics and things you can learn in this game that you can't in other shooters. Infact for me, the game has helped me improve on my accuracy and offense. MGO should get more credit than it does.

Animechanic Jan 22, 2009 11:26 PM

Yeah, that's why I like it. While you can still semi-successfully play it as a run-n-gun game like CS, it really becomes a game of its own when you apply stealth tactics.

Plus, in most shooters the best feeling of accomplishment you can get is going on a headshot spree and staying alive for a good K/D ratio. In MGO not only can you do that, but you can also utterly humiliate people in the process. Trap them with a skin magazine, shoot em in the head with a tranq gun while they're helpless, and then knife them while they're asleep. They'll probably remember that one.
