I never found one for Agata forest. I doubt every area has one, and Agata doesn't really have that many monsters in it.

BIGWORM Oct 3, 2006 10:30 PM

not exactly a spoiler, but did anyone happen to pick up The 8th Wonder, the 2nd to last Glaive? I skipped that one somehow...that and the last Bead. =/

rpgcrazied Oct 3, 2006 10:33 PM

I havent got a glaive yet :P

3 reflectors, 1 rosey.. whens the next rosey?

BIGWORM Oct 3, 2006 11:07 PM

You're talking to a guy who took 58 hours to beat the game, I couldn't possibly tell you when you'll get the next Rosary Bead. I've forgotten already.

rpgcrazied Oct 3, 2006 11:08 PM

heh, i have like 11hours

Oh yeah?

BIGWORM Oct 4, 2006 01:57 AM

^ I hate you.

58 hours completed
2 deaths (;_; )
116 saves
932 enemies defeated
539K Yen earned
5300+ Praise obtained
36 Stray Beads found ;_;

That's off the top of my head. If I can review the complete game stats, I'll post them up. ^^

Spoiler:
I think I got the next rosary at the conclusion of the second boss battle.

rpgcrazied Oct 4, 2006 01:44 PM

Spoiler:
just beat Orochi, am i halfway done now? Got my first glaive :) I almost thought the game was over, until issun said no way, we have to continue.

BIGWORM Oct 4, 2006 03:38 PM

Spoiler:
Nope, you'll end up facing Orochi 2 more times. :D You're nowhere near done, even though facing Orochi seems like a conclusive boss fight, it's not, and you'll actually face bosses harder than him.

rpgcrazied Oct 4, 2006 03:51 PM

really? wow, and im 20 or so hours into it

TheXeno Oct 4, 2006 05:25 PM

Mmm... First post so i'll try to make it semi-lengthy. I didn't write down my exact score so I shall see what I recall.

55ish hours completion
0 deaths
5.5 million yen
quite a bit of saves over 20 proably
Over 900? enemies defeated
5,500ish praise earned
around 90 stray beads found

I missed the lightning strike technuike, 3rd power bursh tech, and I didn't discover the ice attack. I earned all Cherry blossom trees. Also this game took up all my free time for about 3-6 days...

rpgcrazied Oct 4, 2006 05:58 PM

its also cool, you get to replay the game with weapons, different skins for looks.. do brushes carry over to?

TheXeno Oct 4, 2006 07:53 PM

Brushes don't carry over but certain moves do, I think the game also doubles your money, or I just got quite a bit of yen from beating the last boss

BIGWORM Oct 4, 2006 09:04 PM

I got 1.2 million Yen for beating the shit out of Yami. :D

rpgcrazied Oct 4, 2006 09:56 PM

Spoiler:
yes, another how far am i post :P just restored the water to sei-an city. still has got this putrid green mist about. 23hours

SouthJag Oct 5, 2006 01:15 AM

RPGcrazied, you're slightly behind where I'm at.
Spoiler:
I just finished Sei-an City's quests, but I still have to speak with Queen Himiko. Couldn't tell you how many hours into the game I am though.

Diggin the new rosary beads, but I'm gonna stick with the Seven Strike. I think that's what it's called anyway -- the second glaive. Powered it up with the Gold Dust and it's the strongest weapon I've got. Plus, it has Ink Bullet. Does anyone actually use the ink bullet ability?

One quick question. I bought the wood mat, figuring it'd be nice to have in case I ever needed a heal and ran out of items. It says I need to make a cash offering, but how do I do that? Thus far, I haven't been able to use it, at least not to my knowledge.

TheXeno Oct 5, 2006 03:15 AM

Ah the wood mat puzzled me too at first. Don't press any button for like 10 seconds and Ammy should lye down and you will see green grass sprouting up. As you lay down with the wooden mat equiped I regained but at the price of yen, the game automaticly donates for you.

On a 2nd note Block Head Grande sucks... He has best me yet, at my last two atempts. I've read that recording while playing with a vcr/digital camera works, if all else fails i'll try that. I think what makes it so had is that there is no grid, and the dots enlarge and shrink and my memory is off because of it.
During my first playthrough I only needed one more gold dust and Grande had it... It is quite frustrating.

Secret Squirrel Oct 5, 2006 07:46 AM

Well, last night I killed
Spoiler:
Orochi (the first time)

The sad part is, it took me over an hour to kill him (no deaths, just one continuous long battle) -- not because I couldn't figure out what to do, but because executing the pln was difficult with so much going on and with my not-so-great brushstroke control when drawing from point to point. Also, I used up 2 golden peaches, 2 inkstones, and a pile of holy bones S.

For later bosses, I think I should upgrade my pouch some more.

But, it felt great to bring him down. Now, at the first save after the battle, I clock in at ~34:00.

SouthJag Oct 5, 2006 07:46 AM

Ah. I kinda thought that's what her laying down was, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up, Xeno.

By your 3rd Dig game in Dragon Palace, you should have AT LEAST 7+ Ink pouches. Upgrade NOW!!! I'm serious, you'll regret it later if you don't. SouthJag knows which Dig game I'm talking about--where you start at the bottom, then work your way up, THEN BACK DOWN AGAIN!!! :aargh:

Don't worry, I was talking about the Astral pouch. I've got 7 ink pouches now, and my next upgrade will be an ink pouch.

SouthJag Oct 5, 2006 02:05 PM

Yeah, that one sucked. The one or two other dig games after that one though are unusually easy, even with less than 7 ink containers.

BIGWORM Oct 5, 2006 02:31 PM

Oh yeah, did anyone besides me face Princess Fuse and the Kusa 5 (or should I say 8). After Orochi, re-enter Gale Shrine and go to the right and they should be there waiting for ya. Definitely stock up on Exorcism Slips and Holy Bone Ms on this one.

rpgcrazied Oct 5, 2006 03:42 PM

you fight them all? can you do that anytime, after gale shirne? I guess you get a stray bead for it eh
