Alright, all the wikis should be up to date now.

Why, I would have dropped them into a ditch 5 yards wide, 10 feet deep, and 20 yards long.

Given their general luck with holes in the ground, this probably would have killed one of them somehow.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 23, 2009 05:36 AM

How many free xp are likely to be involved if Bob wanders back up to where those rats are and kills them with magic through the bars?

I appreciate this isn't particularly sporting but one doesn't reach one's epic destiny by being sporting all the time.

Bradylama Feb 23, 2009 09:55 AM

Why don't you just do it anyways?

That's what you get for answering questions, Zerg. Now you have to wait even longer for your chance to play.

Because I don't trust Pang not to have the portculis fly open and have Bob eaten by rats. We can always kill them on the way out, assuming we come back for the ghost's remains.

Ewan levels up! New encounter power!

Inexperienced Juggler
standard - encounter
requires knives
+5 vs. AC, 1d4 + 3 damage; enemies hit are dazed until the end of Ewan's next turn
close burst 1
Ewan can not throw knives for the remainder of the encounter

Additional Spam:

Wait - Arg goes before the spiders? They must have some monstrous penalty to their initiative

The unmovable stubborn Feb 24, 2009 01:58 AM

Technically they did go first but I just used their turn to move them forward so

Zergrinch Feb 24, 2009 02:01 AM

Hay guise. Burn or chop those two children-shaped squirming web-wrapped bundles into tiny pieces. Otherwise they'll totally hatch and eat you all up!

No. Hard Pass. Feb 24, 2009 02:04 AM

How about I burn or chop you into little tiny pieces.

Zergrinch Feb 24, 2009 02:21 AM

Do those web sacks first! :)

Scent of a Grundle Feb 24, 2009 02:28 AM

Zerg, you're not supposed to be giving them advice. We don't necessarily want them to die, but that doesn't mean that we should help them live any longer than necessary.

Telling them to try things that will almost certainly get them killed, however, is fine.

The unmovable stubborn Feb 24, 2009 02:31 AM

Advice which will neither save nor kill them but may damn their souls to eternal torment in the Nine Hells is also acceptable.

I'm not helping them live longer. Promise! :3:

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 24, 2009 05:11 AM

Quick question, area effect attacks are seperate rolls to hit, one roll for damage right?

The unmovable stubborn Feb 24, 2009 05:13 AM

Yes, but WHOOMPH KAPOW doesn't exactly tell me which roll is against which spider group :(

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 24, 2009 05:14 AM

Sorry, starting with the closest, working backwards in the order I rolled them so a 1, then a 19 then a 20.

What does getting a critical actually do and is it only on a natural 20?

It maximizes the possible damage from the attack, plus if you have a magic weapon there's usually an added critical bonus to that.

In this case for example your damage roll was a 3, so you did 8 damage to the yellow group but rolled critical on the green group so you get the full 11 plus an added 1d4 from your magic staff. So as much as 15 vs. 8 potentially.

With some few weapons it's a 20 or a 19, but naturals only yeah.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 24, 2009 05:30 AM

Cool.

I hope you were all impressed by Bob's use of Wild Step to shift onto difficult terrain by the way.

Dogg, if you haven't been paying attention before now, we rarely follow the advice of our own party members. You don't have to worry about Zerg skewing our chances for survival.

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 24, 2009 11:52 AM

The Horde's main aim is generally a game of "Who can get us all killed in the most amusing fashion" as much as anything. Sadly our collective Players of Much Awesomeness +4 and Dice Rolling of Fiendish Luck +3 have thus far kept us alive.

ARG, USE THE CHILDREN AS MAKE-SHIFT CLUBS.

BE A HELICOPTER. YEAAAAH!

Bradylama Feb 25, 2009 12:54 PM

Ya know, Shin, you could have waited until I was out of the way before you set everything on fire.

Sarag Feb 25, 2009 01:08 PM

You have gobs of HP, you're good for it

Fluffykitten McGrundlepuss Feb 25, 2009 02:05 PM

Well I suppose I could have delayed until after your turn but I figured Arg could shrug off a little wimpy fireball like that (And I forgot you can delay your go until just now).

Sorry buddy.
