I know that the girl is in the nomad village when it is dry, but currently rain falls and such I am in my current predicament.

Freelance Nov 12, 2006 08:21 PM

Awww, I was several postings too late :(

This is my fave game on the PS2 thus far.

Not my fault I could count my entire PS2 collection with two hands :(

sandmonkeys Nov 12, 2006 08:22 PM

wow ive been power leveling again
basch vaan and balthier all at level 41 - ( Guess whos a sexist?)
and they all have over 2750 life
vaan has 66 attack
balthier has 69 attack
and basch has 89 attack
all three have all the good augments in cluding the 500+ life 200+life
mp regen when dealt or done damage mp recove when kill an enemy
all channeling magic plus and attack plus squares and every square for magic i currently can own and the 2nd best armour i can own for them
best weps tho

other 3 i gave up on but i have a clever plan

if i give them the summons
the 3 i dont use
then i can use the summons to level them individually faster cause they gain 3x exp plus bonus for being such low levels

penelo is a 29
ashe is a 15
poor fran is a 13

lol what do i CARE i cant remember the last time i took damage

oh and all caracters have golden ammys

Double Post:
oh um there a great cutscene and plot develpement at archades

Freelance Nov 12, 2006 08:26 PM

I dunno, but all those marks were damn easy. Are they just naturally easy or am I just overlevelled? Everyone's at level 24 now, except for Penelo of course. Magick works wonders against the marks (aero for that Slaven, fire for the Croakodile and Blizzard for the Wyrm Lord).

I did a 113 chain on my way to the Wyrm Lord, (and uncovered 100% of that Nam-Sandsea while I was at it) and got so much crap that I sold all my hard earned money on awesome weapons at Jahara. I was broke before so I never bought anything then :(

Vaan got his third quickening too, and everyone now as more Swiftness and HP+. Whooo!! I even saw a HP 500+ that I need to save up LP for, and I got the Golden Armlet just now. Yay!

P.S. Tiamat is a she.

Yeah those marks you mentioned are pretty okay, once you just start hammering over them. It's the espers I'm afraid to touch, as well as the really high end (even level 4 and up marks) that I'm probably going to piss my pants or something.

LOL Tiamat. That bitch got pwned.

What do you mean? Each of your characters is going 1000 per hit or what? What gear do you have? I'm doing about 400-700 hit for the enemies in the Ozmone/Henna Mines area.

sandmonkeys Nov 12, 2006 08:38 PM

i think hes making stuff up but what ever let him i barely hitting 3500 in fey wood 2x as far as he is with best possible gear i know of

Freelance Nov 12, 2006 08:47 PM

She, you ragamuffin. She, and I edited my post. I meant to say 300+, not 3000. I knew something was wrong when I doublechecked my post :D

300 damage on what type of enemies though. That's what counts. I can pull off about 500 to 700 on those T Rexes in the Henne mines. Pretty easy guys to take down.

Freelance Nov 12, 2006 09:16 PM

Well, lots of stuff. In the Ozmone Plains, I'm consistedly(sp?) doing that much damage on pretty much everything. Haven't went into the Mines yet to further test my new found power.

sandmonkeys Nov 12, 2006 09:26 PM

Man I thought you were farther in the game, maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person LOL.

The Serpent Skin was one of the items you could give to Danto's wife in the side quest "Patient in the Desert", as the more items you collected, the better reward you could receive. Don't despair if you didn't get the top gift, which was a
Spoiler:
golden amulet
since you can basically just buy those later on in the game, once you find the relative of Fran in the Henne Mines and return to Eruyt village.

Nooo! You misunderstanding me! I already went to the mines (but not gotten past 2nd boss), but I didn't get my new weapons until after I left the mines (there's a teleport crystal in there).

So now you know!

kharaalaik Nov 12, 2006 10:51 PM

and im pretty sure all the walkthroughs on gamefaqs could help us out also =)

sandmonkeys Nov 12, 2006 11:08 PM

i havent gone into the back part of henne mines yet * cant get to them until you get to archades

best spot to power level up to 40 is the entrnce to the jungle just kill panthers to get a chain then run to ozmone plains (DO NOT TOUCH THE CRYSTAL OR U WILL LOSE THE CHAIN) and run back to entr way do this till u hve a chain of 80 then co sell the lot and repeat the process have double licence piont accessorie on all chars and have aroung 150k gil then ur ready to go to archades. (DO NOT BUY ANYTHING WITH THE 150 GIL YOU MADE UNTIL YOU GET TO ARCHADES BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE BEST STUFF THERE THT U CAN ONLY GET THERE THAT IS EXPENSIVE) (ALSO I TOLD U TO GET THOE LICENCE POINTS SO U CAN ACTUALLY USE THE STUFF U BUY) i wouldnt worry bout gambits just magic weps armour and magic for buying

for licences the same as before except you need to buy the good augments
buy a line of augments to the bottom row and then straight to the left
if u can decon my map the 9's are the stuff u want for every char 0's are stuff u dont want and - are non-existant areas

____000000 - this row is next to white magic 1-6
_009990090 - ROW next to steal teqnique
_099009900 - ROW next to first aid teqnique
_990999090 - row next to poach teqnique
9009090099 - row next to traveler teqnique
9090090909 - row next to shield of black
9999999099 - bottom row of bottom left corner in the top section of the license board
its the bottom left quadrant of the magick and tecnique half of over all license board squares

True, it's scary, that I had a peak at the last page of the walkthrough section.

length of the game:

I'm currently at page 144. The walkthrough starts at page 62 and ends at 226. In total, there are about 164 pages of walkthrough material. If I'm at page 144 minus 62 pages = 82 pages of the walkthrough complete. Which mean's I'm exactly 50% at the main game. HOLY FUCKING SHIT SO SOON?!!?!?!? ZOMG ;__; I've played for 43 hours so far. So assuming that I'm continuing at the same rate, I'll be done the main game in about 90 hours or so, since the final dungeons will be giving me trouble.

But then all the side quests would probably add a good 40 hours. Shit, all those hunts, all those side quests, damn son! Well, then in total 130 hours invested in FFXII. And I'm at 43 hours. I guess I still have a ways to go. Thank God!

sandmonkeys Nov 12, 2006 11:13 PM

heh heh

ok look i spent the entire weekend playing this game and have pretty much every square bought on every char and to me those spots i marked above are the best augments to buy as for the magics just buy them all same goes for armour

who ever you want to be the tank put licence points into his axe wepon squares because they are one handed highest attack so far and can be used with a shield which maked them better

have another use a dagger shield combo cause they can dodge anything and have a person whith a pole weapon cause they have sick advantages like easier hit combos and slow/immobilize on contact

Double Post:
for the length of game area you never know you might have to stop and power level for a bit or wanna spend some time getting secret weps and summons and have some fun with a couple mini games something i havent seen yet mind u but am expecting because ecery ff has had 1 from at least ff7

Double Post:
i got school tommorow so im gonna go take a shower pack my bag and they ill be back and ill play ff12 till i get tired bbi 12mins-30mins

Spatula Nov 12, 2006 11:19 PM

Yeah, I didn't factor in actual level grinding time, since that was what took me so long to get to the present location (just past Henne Mines) at a time of 43 hours. So I'll probably alot a period of another 5 hours, at least for pure level grinding. Still, in a way I'm surprised I'm done that much of the main story.

mmmkay. What sort of minigames? I don't think I've really done any of them yet, honestly. I do know of a fishing game.

sandmonkeys Nov 12, 2006 11:46 PM

i back

Double Post:
umm i think there might be a strtagey minigame of some kind at the jahara camp cause ive seen them playing some kind of game or something

or maybed there will be a chocobo activity like secret areas or something
i liked ff9 and 7 's mini games x's was ok but i didnt get into it

Double Post:
but seriously can anyone understand my license points quide thing i made
showing what augments are good?

i spent some time on it and want to know if anyone can use it

Spatula Nov 12, 2006 11:57 PM

Well, actually I think the augmentations on the board in the game themselves speak for what they do quite well already. I'm already aiming to get all of the augmentations at any rate.

sandmonkeys Nov 13, 2006 12:01 AM

the thing i made was

i was going for telling u guys what 1's where best to get first so u dont waste licence points on worse 1s

all the ones i selected were best available i excluded the gambits though

Double Post:
wow so active

Final Fantasy Phoneteen Nov 13, 2006 12:44 AM

Uh, get the fuck out? This isn't GameFAQs or some shit; people don't post every five goddamn minutes.
