I haven't bought it yet, but I'll probably end up buying Conker: Live and Reloaded for Xbox. My friend wanted me to rent it for the multiplayer, and I was also curious, as I had never played the original.
It's a good game. The sound was cutting out in one of the cut scenes, which had me worried a little, but that has been the only problem so far with Blockbuster's copy. (I assume the problem is with the game and not my admittedly four year-old Xbox.) Only $7 more to own the game. I've already put $8 into it, might as well. They better have the original case and manual, though. |
I just came home with the Silent Hill Collection for PS2. It's a limited edition collection containing Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 in one box.
My nerves will take some serious beating tonight :( |

In other news, technically the last thing I bought was my Lite. Best hardware upgrade ever. (Fuck those screens are nice. Seriously). |

The sex mini-game seems out of place though! :D Anyway, my most recent game purchase was Darkwatch for XBOX. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I seem to be one of the few who actually like this game and think it's one of the better FPS of recent memory. While, I haven't gotten too far into the game, I am having a ball. Again, most definitely worth the money I spent for it. :) |

Advent Rising is a HUGE waste of cash, and the others I singled out aren't any good either. At least you picked up PGR2 and New Super Mario to sort of balance out some of this. =o If you're so keen on Xbox games, I'd have picked up Rallisport 2, if you didn't have it yet. =o |
Actually, Onimusha was a decent game. It's no Ninja Gaiden, but it was released before the other so there's no reason why it should be... :D
|
True enough, that was the only one I was questioning if I should highlight as a bad purchase. I personally didn't like any of the Onimushas that much, but it's hardly a flawed game, as opposed to the other three.

Nothing too amazing recently... Two for One Used Games deal at Gamestop. Took advantage of it.
PS2 - Tales of Legendia PS2 - Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams PS2 - Resident Evil 4 (<- The free one.) Earlier... DS - Big Brain Academy I'm liking Legendia alot and Onimusha also. I haven't put enough time into RE4 yet though. I know it's a good game, but I hate the fact that I can't find save points when I need to. Big Brain is fun, especially if you have a bunch of friends to play with. It's fun competing against them. Who knew doing simple brain teaser games was so much fun? I'm also pissed off that I lost my copy of the New Super Mario Bros... If I can't find it, I might just pick up another copy. Hopefully a used one if there's one around my area. I just can't believe I can't find it. T_T |
Yeah, I wasted my money on Advent Rising, and Onimusha.
Advent Rising mostly because it was buggy. Onimusha's controls just plain sucks. I actually like Mark Ecko's. It's no Jet Set Radio, but it's damn good enough. |

I don't think I even need to begin to explain why I imported this. |
Forgive me but what is it? I can't really tell.
|
It's Phoenix Wright, duh. Or I should say "Gyakuten Saiban Mask Murder Case" which has been reprinted last week.
The original, to import, would be around $75 US. This was only $30 and I'm pretty sure anyone in their right mind wouldn't pay $45 extra just so that it's not a "best hits" edition. I probably wouldn't have purchased it if it didn't have the dual language option. |
I bought Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow for DS today, although I own no DS...
.. But I'll pick up my Lite tomorrow, and felt that I wanted a game waiting at home when I came home with the machine! |
my most recent purchase(s) were 2 dualshock2s and a memory card for my new (old) ps2 that i got for free because it had DRE and i fixed it. something nice about the stuff i bought is that while ebgames would sell them to me for $75, i got both controllers and the memory card for a total of $1.74:biggrin:you know you're a good deal hunter when you get what would normally cost $165 for 1/95 the price

Regardless, at least the music is top-notch! :D |
i just bought mgs twin snakes and resident evil zero.
mgs tts is awesome and i liked it better than the original, cuz the mgs2 gameplay features rock and of course the graphics as well. re 0 is also a pretty amazing game but the only regret i have is that there wasnt no cooperative gameplay, capcom wouldve easily put in one but yet it would spoil the excitement and the fear you get of the old traditional 1player resident evil games. |
With the Wal-Mart's around here that have a rather shitty selection of games (as in , half of the shelves were empty) I got myself to buy Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence but not for me really since I own the original game, I suppose its a make-up present for my brother's birthday somewhere around two weeks ago (once I get decent internet at my place I'm sure that he'll be online for quite a while, since he just likes killing ALOT).
Initially I was hoping to have some run of luck to find Beatmania (becuase I'm downloading a few .iso's for IIDX), I am now debating on whether on getting a refurbished (aka USED) PS2 from an EB or the game previosly mentioned. |
A few weeks ago I bought Big Brain Academy and Killer 7, and today I bought Pac N' Roll.
I wanted BBA after playing Brain Age and enjoying that game. I had heard from reviews that BBA was better, so of course I wanted to see it for myself. I must say, it's definitely better, especially with regards to the multiplayer (I had way more fun beating my sister in this game than I did in Brain Age). Killer 7 is a game I've been wanting for a while, but I've just been waiting for the price to go down (translation: I have way too many games already that I need to play, so there was no point in getting the game new when I probably wouldn't play it until six months to a year later). I finally saw it new at Gamestop for $15, so I finally decided to bite down and get it. Of course, I haven't played it yet. No real story for Pac N' Roll. I had a $5 reward coupon at Sam Goody, saw the game going for $15, and decided that $10 was a good price to pay for the game, so I bought it. |
|
I like the VP2 and Grandia 3 covers you've got. Are those PAL releases?

Ah right -- forgot about that. Well, they're still pretty cool.

I finally bought Mercenaries today. I played the demo of the game well over a year ago, and I had really enjoyed it then. Of course, I had a backlog of games back then (which I still have now), so I figured I might as well wait until it was cheap until I bought it, because I knew it would be a while until I actually played it. I had a $10 of coupon at Best Buy, and the game was $20, so I figured that was cheap enough. I know I'll like the game, I just don't know when I'll actually get around to playing it.

I bought on Sunday:
Enter the Matrix: Re-bought actually. The game isn't too bad in my opinion, and can be fun to come back to once in a while. There's also some music that neither the promo or the soundtrack contains (sadly, the in-game cutscenes cannot be played with only music). Chronicles of Riddick: Very fun demo in OXM, so I decided to buy the game (a while later). Also interested since it seems to have a good story. Most games I buy focus more on action or multiplayer (not that there's anything wrong with that though). Need to play it more, since I've only gotten past the section in the demo plus a little bit more. And yes, these are recent purchases, totaling $13 (ETM for $5). On Monday, I had to exchange the discs for ones that weren't all scratched up. |
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
--- I had Deception but traded it in a while back. I got this one because I figured that there were different characters despite coming out before deception and missing the extra minigames. I also wanted to see the fatalities, and am glad to find both games play similarly. |
