Since I got myself a MBP yesterday, I figured I'd update in here. Any suggestions on apps and such from other Mac users? I haven't used one of these in ages.

It looks like you already have a good portion of the essentials, so you're good. If I may add a couple, you should get Bowtie and iStat Menus. What version of Photoshop is that that you're using?

It's CS6.
I did a Lion clean install this morning, and things seem to run a bunch faster than they did before. Got this thing used (though she wiped it clean, it was Snow Leopard--which I then upgraded) but it's in amazing condition. I'm pretty happy with it. |
How do you like CS6? I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to CS5 yesterday after neglecting to do so for almost two years and I'm really happy with it! :D

CS5 is nice, I haven't REALLY noticed much different in 6. There's a few things in Photoshop that are mostly UI changes (it's black instead of white/grey) and the way Crop Tool works, for example, but other than that it's largely similar. From what I can tell anyway. I haven't used it too much yet. But I like it!

Finally decided to rid of myself of the hard drives on the desktop just so I can have more space open. Also made every menubar item just be black and found a Bowtie skin I'm actually happy with. It's big and I like it that way. |
I had a really awesome, simple text-based Bowtie skin, but I lost it. :( When I upgraded to Mountain Lion I did a clean install because there was a bunch of crap/software on here from the previous owner that I wanted to ditch. I'll have to go look that up again and post up a new screenshot. :3:

It's been a while. And I threw together a new wallpaper today, so I figured I'd might as well come and revive this thing.
Actually I ended up doing a simple edit and making a series of these things, and set the wallpaper to switch version every couple hours. It's kinda soothing. |

Was definitely more of a digimon person than poekmon. Still, I watched all of Pokemon through Orange Islands or so and could get behind the first 150 pokemon.
