4/13/1922: Massachusetts opens all public offices to women
Let's see some Ts. |
numbers:
|_|_|_|_| |_|_| |T|_|_| |_|_|_|_|_|_| used letters: M T Garr - $0 Dopefish - $750 Araes - $0 One T keeps your turn alive. I almost missed it. |
Well then, I'll buy an E first, then I'll spin.
How about H? |
|_|_|_|_| |_|_| |T|H|E| |_|_|_|_|_|E|
used letters: M T E H Garr - $0 Dopefish - $2000 Araes - $0 Apart from the obvious increase in money, not a lot of help, apart from revealing the obvious word. |
I'll spin again
How about some Ns? |
|_|_|N|_| |_|_| |T|H|E| |_|_|N|_|_|E|
used letters: M T E H N Garr - $0 Dopefish - $6000 Araes - $0 The N is considerably more helpful, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed by all of the fake money you just earned. It's great for buying fake optimism during these tough times. |
I'm gonna solve this sucker right now:
KING OF THE JUNGLE |
... Yeah. Rats. I thought it was a good puzzle.
And thus, with that easy $6000, Dopefish Wins. So now what do we want to do? Is the game exciting enough to warrant continuing, or is guessing letters losing its appeal? I'm willing to keep modding if people want to keep playing, but it's hard to hold interest with a game as slow and turn based as this one. |
I'd like to mod a game myself, if you'll let me. Either way, I'll keep playing.
|
Go for it man. I'm far too lazy to actually run a decent game, and I wouldn't mind a bit of a break from modding.
|
I'd like to get into the next one, if that is possible.
|
Well then, let's get another threesome going and we'll get this show on the road.
|
I'll play again, unless three new people want to play, in which case I'll bow out.
|
Well, rather than risk not having any new players come along, I'll get it started shortly. (As long as I'm not killed. :()
|
Hopefully quick post before I'm slain again. Would be interested, but since you've got three I'll sit this one out. Good game though, and nice solve on the last puzzle Dopefish.
|
Alright, we've got three players then:
SuperSonic Hawkeye Garr I'm going to try a more realistic game of Wheel of Fortune, using the actual wheel configuration from the show. I'm going to limit the game to 40 letter guesses total but a minimum of four rounds (if the 40th guess comes before or during the fourth round, we'll go to Final Spin mode in the fourth round, where vowels will be worth $0 and consonants will be worth $1,000 + whatever space the wheel lands on when I spin it), and there will be a Bonus Round for the winner. Wheel values:
Space 6 is a Free Spin space, meaning if you land on it and guess a letter in the puzzle, you'll get $300 per letter and a free spin which you can use at any point in the game to save yourself from the Lose Turn or Bankrupt spaces (but, sadly, you'll still go Bankrupt). The free spin space will thereafter be $300 per letter. Space 9 is a Gift Tag space, meaning if you land on it and guess a letter in the puzzle, you'll receive a gift tag which will be worth $300 per letter and a random bonus between $500-$1000. Note that you'll have to solve the puzzle to redeem it. The Gift Tag space will thereafter be $300 per letter. Space 12 is a $1,000,000 space, meaning if you land on it, you'll have to roll an additional 1d3. If you roll a 1 or a 3 on the roll, you'll be Bankrupt. If you roll a 2 and guess a letter in the puzzle, you'll get $800 per letter and the chance for $1,000,000 in the bonus round if you win and don't go Bankrupt through the remainder of the game. The $1,000,000 space will thereafter be $800 per letter. Space 20 is a Wild Card space, meaning if you land on it and guess a letter in the puzzle, you'll be given $700 per letter and a Wild Card space, which you may use at any point in the game to search for two letters in the puzzle at your discretion. (You may also hold onto it for the Bonus Round.) Thereafter the Wild Card space will be worth $700 per letter. Space 22 is a Prize space, meaning if you land on it and guess a letter in the puzzle, you'll be given $350 per letter and a random bonus between $4,000 and $7,000. Note that you'll have to solve the puzzle to redeem it. Thereafter the Prize space will be worth $350 per letter. With that said, here's the puzzle and the category: |_||_||_||_| |_||_||,| |_||_||'||_||_| |_||_| |_||_| |_||_||_||_||!| SAYING Let's play the feud! Err, let's see who's going first...Hawkeye! |
Let's get this game going, shall we?
|
By the way, I was planning to make it so that the spaces changed according to the last spin. And I could still do that. Just to make it more realistic.
Additional Spam: Since Hawkeye is currently dead, he PM'ed me his letter request, which was R. Nope. Garr, it's your turn. |
Verily, there tis'n't. It is now SuperSonic's turn, forsooth.
|
No whammies, no whammies, no whammies...STOP!!
Is there an S? |
Actually, no. There is no S.
I guess I picked a tough one to start! :D Hawkeye, your chance again. (I'll keep PMing people as long as Gaminfort is still going.) Guessed letters: B R S |
spinneth i shall.
... drat. |
