I uploaded some damn good avant-garde electronica to the Exposure thread. I highly reccomend y'all give them a listen.

Paco May 14, 2006 01:35 AM

I'm giving that Collapsing Culture a listen right now. Thanks! :D

Guys... After 2 boring hours of cutting and pasting, I finally got the index updated all the way to the Jackdaw albums. I hope someone has the courtesy to remind me not to be such a lazy mexican next time and get it updated at least once per thread page.

navyseals May 14, 2006 05:11 AM

I thought that Vector Lovers was pretty cool although I wouldnt classify it as avant garde. A couple of the tracks were cheesy (the dancefloor type ones) but mostly its nice.

and I already have that sarah blasko. its brilliant.

Little Shithead May 14, 2006 01:05 PM

I listened to the Vector Lovers album, and I thought it was good "ambiance" music. Not too bad.

I highly suggest anyone who likes modern rock to give the Jackdaw albums I uploaded a listen to. Although, actually, I suggest anyone listens to it, but, I won't be picky.

Iwata May 15, 2006 05:50 PM

I have some Go-betweens, Ash Ra Tempel, Kyuss, Mingus, and some Hicks on the way.

knkwzrd May 15, 2006 06:51 PM

What Kyuss are you putting up?

pyrus421 May 15, 2006 08:00 PM

Loved the avant-garde electronica, especially Vector Lovers. So...out of this world, like a cooled down version of Infected Mushroom.

On a sidenote, I'd like to see more J-rock!

Iwata May 15, 2006 09:42 PM

I'm uploadin " Welcome to Sky Valley " and " Blues for a Red Sun ".

Schadenfreude May 16, 2006 12:25 AM

Been meaning to check out Kyuss for quite a while...

Planning to put up Hope of the States' "The Lost Riots" sometime -- I told Ence I'd do it a week or so back but haven't really done it. Will try to do so soon enough.

knkwzrd May 16, 2006 12:48 AM

If you like what you hear, I have their entire catalogue, including bootlegs.

el jacko May 16, 2006 09:57 PM

I've been playing that Vector Lovers album for awhile now... it's great! Good music to do things to.

I've got some j-rock (Luna Sea, mucc) I was thinking of uploading if you haven't checked out the two albums I've uploaded already (Cocco & move).

pyrus421 May 16, 2006 10:33 PM

I second on Vector Lovers.
That'd be great if you could upload them. Move and Cocco are good.

Tawnee Van Pelt May 16, 2006 10:36 PM

I was wondering if someone could re upload that Regina Spektor album, thanks!

I will upload it and a live EP of hers I have, but can you upload any other Plastilina Mosh albums you have? I've been looking for them since the last GFFST.

Tawnee Van Pelt May 16, 2006 11:30 PM

Sure, I'll upload some Plastilina right away!

wvlfpvp May 17, 2006 10:38 AM

Encephalon - The Black and Blue album's artist is Jay-Zeezer, not DJ Danger Mouse.

Paco May 17, 2006 10:42 AM

My bad. I'll correct that right now...

... and done.

el jacko May 17, 2006 04:09 PM

Soviet Kitsch is back online, as are her live EP and some Luna Sea J-rock. Have fun guys!

And thank you for the Plastilina Mosh! I will get to listening to that right away.

knkwzrd May 17, 2006 04:57 PM

wvlfpvp, massive props for the Zappa. I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to him, really.

Here's the original "Beatle's Parody" cover art, which the record company misprinted as liner art:

http://adale.org/GIFs/wereonlyinit.gif

This version, while maintaing the original drum tracks, has a good deal of lyrical censorship. The only places you can find it in the originally intended version is the original Canadian pressing, the Old Masters Box, or the hard to find CD reissue on Zappa records. For specific info, check out http://home.westbrabant.net/~hades/P...censorship.htm .

This record was originally going to be a concept album involving Lenny Bruce, who gigged with the Mothers, called "Our Man In Nirvana". This was not released, but later turned up as part of the Beat The Boots series.

Paco May 19, 2006 02:08 AM

In the wake of Moon's recent techno/electronic uploads I also decided to upload some stuff I hope you guys like. It's a little more "mainstream" than the stuff that I usually upload, but I hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless.

Plug 4 May 20, 2006 09:05 AM

sorry guys...I was still absent in the last weeks or so on GFF...Im working 35hrs a week..plus takin a summer course...I dont know if that was a good idea or not.. I will try my best to come more often..(my class finishes at the end of june soo I will be very free for more GFF time!)

Iwata May 21, 2006 06:09 AM

Gonna post a mega upload session tomorrow with the rest of the AMT definitive albums as well as kyuss, Sun City Girls, Scientists, The Red Krayola, Windir, Determinations, Khanate, and Shogun Kunitoki.

Schadenfreude May 21, 2006 06:27 AM

AMT, eh? Looking forward to that.

I'm looking to put up some Melt-Banana as soon as I can.

OMG sweet. Seriously, as soon as I heard Melt-Banana, I fell in love. I just can't quite manage to get my hands on any, cuz I suck.

Sometime later this week, I think I'm gonna upload the Suspiria soundtrack and some Front Line Assembly. Possibly. Oh, and there's 8 albums in my last upload if you missed them.

Failure should be heard by all.
