Silverton it is.

I actually went through the town last year and it's image is burned into my memory.

Smelnick Sep 5, 2007 05:29 PM

Good old google earth. I basically just scanned all the towns around Durango until I found one in a valley with roads shaped like in the picture. Give me two seconds and I'll get another picture posted

Saskatoon? I was there earlier this summer and I've stayed at the Delta Saskatoon before and that looks awfully familiar.

Smelnick Sep 5, 2007 08:22 PM

Wow, that was fast. I tried to pick an obscure picture but I guess I sucked. You re correct nabhan. Good job.

nabhan Sep 6, 2007 04:28 PM

Not obscure for someone who was there two months ago =p

It took me a while to remember those buildings, but those are Purdy's Wharf in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Actually, I did a search for "list of longest suspension bridges" and found that Angus MacDonald sure matches the one in the picture.

nabhan Sep 7, 2007 09:10 PM

You are correct. Your turn :3

Musharraf Sep 14, 2007 03:46 PM

Hmm well I guess I gonna revive this thread with this picture:

Smelnick Sep 14, 2007 04:48 PM

HAHAHAHAHa Winnipeg

edit: to be even more specific, that is taken from the foot bridge in The Forks.

Musharraf Sep 14, 2007 05:04 PM

Oh for Christs sake, now I thought I had a tough one and then it takes somebody like an hour to solve it ;__;

Well, well done. Your turn!!

Smelnick Sep 14, 2007 06:11 PM

It helps that I live in Winnipeg. I walk over that bridge quite often. =D I actually have my own picture taken from the same spot except in the dark, and it looks exactly the same =D

anyhow. new picture. this one is pretty obscure, it might not get guessed.

Mariehamn, Ă…land? That big building brought back memories of my visit there.

Smelnick Sep 15, 2007 10:23 AM

Nope. Thats not even close. I see this is gonna be a harder one. I'll give a clue to narrow it down. Its in Canada.

knkwzrd Sep 15, 2007 10:36 AM

There are really a strangely disproportionate amount of people from Winnipeg on these forums. It's pretty bizarre.

Smelnick Sep 17, 2007 04:24 AM

Alright, I guess another clue is in order. I made a toughie I guess. It's in Ontario, Canada.

I have absolutely no clue. But judging by the rocks, It has to be in Canada, somewhere in the Canadian Shield? Eastern Manitoba or sometown in Ontario again.

nuttyturnip Sep 17, 2007 11:01 AM

I like how this has gone from "Guess the City" to "Guess the Small Town that No One Has Heard of Unless They Live There".

No. Hard Pass. Sep 17, 2007 07:10 PM

CLUE TIME:

It's in Manitoba.

Dullenplain Sep 17, 2007 08:58 PM

Looks like Flin Flon to me. A geologist should know those places. I hope that is correct.

Smelnick Sep 18, 2007 12:00 AM

You're right Dullenplain. I just found this picture

Lord Styphon Oct 8, 2007 02:22 PM

The building in the background with the the open structure thing on top says that it's San Antonio, Texas.
