Heh...I always identified with Ogawa, because she's always staring off into space with her mouth open and never knows what's going on. That pretty much describes me to a tee. ^_^;;

I don't know why it took me some long to get Tomiko Van's Farewell album. I'm listening to it right now and I'm enjoying each melody I hear... *sniff* this is such a good album. I don't care if some fans don't like her new career path, but I'm liking what I'm currently hearing. Ganbatte Ban-chan!

(o shit, the fanboy in me is showing again)

I had a feeling you'd like it Vemp. But then it is a great album.

Apparently she's into gospel music now. Try listening to her Cry No More single. I think that explains the dreadlocks.

I think This Is Love's rank at #13 on my Top 25 Most Played playlist in iTunes speaks for itself.

I despise CRY NO MORE. Oh well. At least I have Yuki no Hana and GLAMOROUS SKY to keep me entertained.

Really? I find it ok, but at first I was a bit shocked by the sudden change of styel. I don't like the video though. heh.

Scarletdeath May 11, 2006 10:12 AM

I don't know if this is old, but have any of you tried Ketsumeishi? They're considered as J-rap, but even though I cannot stand American rap, Ketsu is much more [very] melodious and they have a rough voice to go with it. This combination, has absolutely won me over. Anyone who doesn't know about them, has to try at least this track called Sakura.

Flara May 11, 2006 01:58 PM

ooooh
i just heard Sowelu's DEAR FRIEND and Yume
it's soooooo goood!!!!

Hello good people of GamingForce, it's been a while!

I haven't read through all the pages, but I ran a search and didn't notice FictionJunction YUUKA get brought up. So allow me to introduce you to them via these direct download links right here. There is a promotional video in (what I believe is the) Xvid codec, and mp3s for that track and its coupling track, this is their latest single just released yesterday. Enjoy, I hope that some of you will take a liking to it!

While I have plenty of bandwidth with my host (of which I will not disclose the exact numbers), I'm sure that I can trust that you all won't start pasting this link all over the Internet. :) And of course, the link will not be up indefinitely.

Whilst I was never really active in this thread in its previous incarnations, I will keep it subscribed and drop by once in a while.

Vemp May 12, 2006 06:21 AM

Hiro! hey man! long time!

As for FictionJunction YUUKA, I have the first album, and I have to add that I enjoy the album very much. It's a side project by Yuki Kajiura (the composer for Madlax and Mai Hime). It's pretty good IMO, give it a try!

Thanks Hito for sharing their stuff!

OmagnusPrime May 12, 2006 07:17 AM

Oh my god it's Hiro. Hey dude, glad to see you're still around and doing the J-Pop thang. I'll try to remember the check out the band you've linked to, as if memory serves you're recommendations are always very good.

hahaha wow.... they don't look so glamorous before they become stars...
thanks for sharing vempy

Vemp May 19, 2006 08:25 AM

Here's some artists that I've just discovered:

- Amano Tsukiko
- Imitation PoPs Uchuu Sentai NOIZ
- Remiomoren

Any thoughts on these artists?

I'm kind of into J-rock/alt/punk-rock bands these days.. but not Visual-Kei bands.. well, some VK bands have tolerable and good music, but some or most are garbage. I just prefer to hear drums and guitar riffs in my music. :)

(I know this is a Jpop thread.. but I don't know where else to put this, besides.. the thread needs a bump :p)

Amano Tsukiko is actually quite good... her voice has that deep resonant (i fink...) plus added with some of her "mysterious" music it sets this mood that makes me feel like sleeping...

I've actually heard only like... 4 songs from her, all of are really good, but not my cup of tea.

well, time for my little review... on UVERworld!!!!

Their latest single, "Colors of the Heart" is simply amazing, plus the other 2 tracks that came with it, "SORA" and "hitori ja nai kara" are all simply amazing, much different than what they started out as in "D-technolife" and for some reason, "SORA" reminds me a lot of l'arc-en-ciel... which is a good thing considering l'arc-en-ciel is now considered legendary haha... this single deserves 8 stars just for having incredible tracks and Takuya looking so damn good...

Vempy, try UVERworld, i swear you'll love them to death

Vemp May 20, 2006 08:26 AM

Hm, yeah, I've been trying to find their album for some time now. I only have the song from Bleach, and I like it.

Well, I heard from the internet that Remiomoren is good.. but after listening to it.. it's not that great, I think I'll give it 3 out of 5 stars. The music is good, but it's the voice. :(

YOU GUYS SHOULD LISTEN/WATCH VAN TOMIKO'S NEW SINGLE, "FLOWER"!

I love it. (obviously :p)

OmagnusPrime May 22, 2006 06:53 AM

He takes ages to listen to her solo album, but now Vemp is all about the Ban-chan.

I'm waiting on some new releases, but aside from the usual fare I've actually gone back to listening to a load of H!P stuff. Currently the Petit Best albums, one through six. Me likey.

Vemp May 22, 2006 10:13 AM

Heh.. it's all about the Ban-chan :)

Also, I've downloaded and gave Uverworld a listen, Flara. Yeah, they're pretty cool, nothing fancy, but pretty good to listen to. I actually enjoyed it than the latest AKFG album.

Also, if anyone knows where I can get Sex Machineguns' latest album "Made in the US" (I think that's the title), I'll give you a pie. :p

Flara May 29, 2006 12:54 AM

UVERworld is the stuff!!!

i still can't get over their newest single. COLORS OF THE HEART
the other 2 tracks in the cd are simply amazing too..
