I'm interested in this show, since i just watched Haruhi and my god i love it.

Question, any groups out there released a batch file?

I squarely blame a.f.k. for not giving me my dose of Lucky Star consistently.

That said, I was kind of disappointed by episode 19 which I thought exhibited a noticeable dip in quality compared to all the good stuff that we've seen in the series so far. I don't know how to put it.... episode 19 just felt... rushed. As though they were jumping from one scene to the next with such speed that there wasn't enough time to fully recover from one punchline to the next. Or, for that matter, to swallow the joke before they crammed in the next one. I think a lot of the problems come from the fact that we (the audience) have their personalities down pat, and there's little that they can do or say to really amaze us like the ilovegirlswithglasses@hotmail.com (Konata's email address) scene on the bus in that episode waaaay back when.

Most of the highlights came in the second half of the show. While the second half wasn't outstanding per se (see problems that I mentioned above), there were quite a few snapshot-worthy scenes as well as the usual Haruhi references and even a Fate/Stay Night manga cover thrown in for good measure. Most of the hilarity stems from Hiyori's doujin hobby/obsession though the scenes where she's involved wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the episode.

Lucky Channel, as usual, was a dud. Minoru Shiraishi wasn't even funny when he did the end, but that's probably because I didn't get the reference.

Really? I thought 19 was one of the better recent ones actually, especially the first few jokes were really good (the goldfish!)... But I have to admit, I liked all of the double-figure ones so far and a lot of people are complaining that it's not as good. So, maybe I just like stuff too easily.

No. Episode 21 is The Best episode. If not the whole thing then its only Lucky Channel.



And that makes it the best episode on the show.

I wonder how long until this show degenerates into just the girls reviewing video games and giving them scores out of 10.

Holy crap, a rendition of the Lucky Star Dance that's actually _good_ (or as good as it could be).

Thats actually pretty damn good, well chereographed from the original animation. I love how the fountaint seemed almost in sync with the dance as well.

If you guys seen episode 21, and are baffled by the episode preview and why the hell Ono and Akira were talking like animals, its a AIR reference, which they both voiced in. Watch this clip to understand more.

So is it just Guerrand that's subbing Lucky Star nowadays? a.f.k hasn't updated in awhile (at least, when I last checked). They haven't updated Zetsubou Sensei too... They left Lucky Star at episode 19 I think.

As long as whoever subs does a good job on it, I don't care which group subs it or if it looks inconsistent in my folder.

I love the part where Kanata visits them and we see tidbits of their relationship, both the silly (Thanks to Sou-Kun being such an Otaku.) and the sweet (We can tell they truly loved each other.) Its a nice sweet moment. The gags were also amusing as well.

As for Lucky Channel... Pity we didnt see more of what happened to Akira... So it was...Okay.

Shirashi's singing thing this time was amusing to watch. Having to switch songs on the fly is no easy task.

I'm still waiting for a.f.k's subs. I haven't seen them in forever. Last episode I watched was 19. We're coming down the home stretch here...hopefully they didn't drop it.

I'm absolutely addicted to Aya hirano's Voice, my god i love the karaoke cd, Cha la head chala is :3.

I agree Kairi for some unknown reason this kind of episodes gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that just makes me tear up, Lucky Star has outdone itself on this episode. I love this tragic/love stuffs aka fruits basket <3

On Episode 22.
Suddenly Lucky Star becomes one of my all time favorites, I think there are other contemplative moment in the series. :3



Originally People were complaining about how Kyotoani is change things around and stuff, (Like adding a lot Haruhi reference and something like that... I guess it isn't something tha can be excused, but most people get a kick out of it) but I think they really are doing the series justice with touching little episode like this.

Incredibly good episode, they just keep bringing stuff out that surprises me in every episode... Well, in most episodes anyway! This was definitely an awesome episode.

The only thing that is starting to annoy me is the constant Minami-joke that she has no boobs. I GET IT ALRIGHT MOVE ON

AFK cheesed a lot of people off by puting Syronara Zetsubo Sensei on hatus for Lucky Star and I wouln't be supprised if he got swamped with /a/ related nonsnece.

I was afraid this would happen the moment they released the first episode of Zetsubou. Whenever a subbing group takes more than one project, they will stretch themselves too thin, it's always like that.

I think they shouldn't have dropped Zetsubou and actually continued on with that instead of Lucky Star. We've got Guerrand who is delivering really good quality translations at really fast pace, whereas Zetsubou is now left in the cold with no translation team on it at all (although that'll change quickly). But I guess they can't let anything KyoAni drop, that's sort of their staple...

Anyway, Guerrand released 23, also. =D

Well, I'm kind of happy Lucky Star didn't get dropped (though I am waiting for Zetsubou from them as well) since we're coming down the home stretch. Only 4 more episodes to go and then they can focus all resources on Zetsubou. I really don't like switching sub groups in the middle of a series, no matter how good of a switch it is.

It's finally over. Only the last 9 mins were good. So when does the next Haruhi season coming out ?

That was great. There's probably going to be a season 2 after Haruhi 2.
