Jesus christ, people. How did this one update kill the thread?

I mean, COME ON IT'S COMEDY FUCKING GOLD!

The slider goes left and right.

This is by far the most dangerous of the option modes.

Yeaaah... Don’t fiddle around with these options.

I mean it now. Don’t mess around on this screen.

Seriously now. I’m not playing here.

Zakiller2000 Dec 13, 2007 02:05 AM

The Mario Circuit finally posted. (Eh, at least that's out of the way.)

Looks pretty cool though.

Chaotic Dec 13, 2007 02:06 AM

Y HALO THAR F-ZERO GRAND PRIX!

Not really, it's Mario Circuit. It's the F-Zero Grand Prix stage from Melee, just done in Mario Kart format.

[killer already has the pictures on lockdown.]

Cool stage, but it's totally unoriginal. :(

Oh curses, being a minute late.

Darkshineknight Dec 13, 2007 02:11 AM

What this game needs is more megaman T___T but thats just really wishful thinking

:wrong:

Regardless if you're talking about Mute City or Big Blue, it's a totally different stage. Mute City picked up and moved every so often while in Big Blue, battles actually took place on top of vehicles. Here, the battle stays in the same spot and vehicles run players over from the side as opposed to riding on top of them.

The only similarity it has with F-Zero Grand Prix either stage is that vehicles come in from the background to run players over.

All that aside, I will have to say that being able to see the position of the vehicles on the screen in the background is a nice touch.

It's not sure yet whether or not they'll be revealing the secret characters list as well or will just be revealing the starting roster, but it's going to be interesting either way as we'll be able to know which characters are in and which have been given the boot.

CoroCoro Comic says that they will be revealing the list this December 15 in a separate booklet that will come with the CoroCoro Comic magazine.

Lemme guess, Falcon and a few others will be announced and that will feed our updates for at least a while.

More or less of the same stuff anyway. I still like the stage a lot though. Cool stuff.

Zeta26 Dec 13, 2007 04:22 AM

I wonder if there's a go, where like Melee's Mute city has the platform fly through the track. Then it has that "!" due to the cars approaching.

immp Dec 13, 2007 06:54 AM

I hope it doesnt have the "!" so you can actually plan and use the cars when people arent paying attention to the board in the background. The ones in melee were a little too chaotic to really use against people, this should be good.

Zeta26 Dec 13, 2007 12:37 PM

Well, actually. It has something similar. Remember the monitor on the background which shows the racers; and this can go both ways too. It can do as much damage to you as much as it will give you the big advantage.

Summonmaster Dec 13, 2007 12:45 PM

Still yeah I also think it's basically a variation on the Mute City stage. Obviously the fun lies in being to smash those Shy Guys into submission! You tell me it wouldn't be fun to slug 'em off the racetrack :P

Chaotic Dec 13, 2007 01:00 PM

Would be cool if they toss in your occasional Mario Kart character when they're not being used in battle. Like Mario, Bowser, Peach, and all of them. Each would have their own special twist when you get hit...

Mario burning you up.
Peach would infatuate you with hearts or something.
Bowser's hit would just be more powerful since he's heavier.

Something like that.

Diversion Dec 13, 2007 05:44 PM

Actually, I'm really feeling that, and it feels like something that you'd expect to see in the game, too. It's the subtle things Nintendo does that can make their games golden.

wvlfpvp Dec 13, 2007 06:21 PM

LOL BUT WUT WUD SNAK ND SONIC DO

Zeta26 Dec 13, 2007 07:00 PM

Though, an update I can't wait for them to profile. Is the actual game intro (video form), since they already got the main theme down (mp3 streamed version). Which I bet won't be till like at the end of December-close to Japan's launch day (January 24th).

And as a "side-order" update. Maybe the official confirmation of Mega Man X or MM from 7, 8 & 9 (Mega Man & Forte).

NovaX Dec 14, 2007 02:07 AM

Stafy! and Waluigi..

Darkshineknight Dec 14, 2007 02:10 AM

I'm so glad Waluigi isn't a playable character, I was dreading the day that he was going to be announced as one. Good job Sakurai! now add megaman and ness XD

Zeta26 Dec 14, 2007 02:11 AM

Yep, here's a pic of him

I'd prefer they keep it a secret till...

Wait...
They don't do any fucking updates on the weekends.

The 15ths on the weekend.

Zeta26 Dec 14, 2007 02:18 AM

Sorry, but I made a mistake. It's not from Pokemon. It's from an old time Nintendo game; Densetsu no Stafy [Legend of Stafy]

Dalkaen Dec 14, 2007 02:30 AM

Kinda disappointed that Waluigi isn't a playable character.. but double updates are always nice. Waluigi would have been amusing because he would've had to be even more awkward than Luigi. To this day, Luigi is the only character I'm not good with in the slightest in Melee.

Zeta26 Dec 14, 2007 02:42 AM

True the Smash Dojo site doesn't update on Saturday's. I'm just saying that this "so-called" list may just get handed down to the game news sites. And eventually put up on the Smash Dojo site when it comes to updating. That is IF we truly get to see this list posted.
